The 2025 NFL Draft is approaching on one month away. Let's get into our latest mock draft as free agency continues. With the bulk of major free agency moves over, teams will turn their attention to the NFL Draft. From there, positions that teams were not able to address in the draft could be addressed in the waves after free agency.
It's important for team to find a good balance between not overdoing it in free agency and making sure the main foundation of the roster is drafted and developed. With 53 players on the active roster, this is always a huge challenge, even for the best teams in the NFL.
As we approach the 2025 NFL Draft, let's dive into our latest mock draft, which is one round long.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Latest first-round mock draft as free agency continues
1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
The Tennessee Titans invested a ton of money into their offensive line and could be laying the groundwork to take Cam Ward with the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. That's the route they go in this mock draft.
2. Cleveland Browns - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Mason Graham could be a force in the middle of their defense for years to come. With Cam Ward off the board, the Browns pivot to the trenches.
3. New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Shedeur Sanders to the New York Giants feels like a matter of time given how urgent the Giants QB position is. It would not shock me if the Giants even signed Aaron Rodgers and still took Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.
4. New England Patriots - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
With Abdul Carter someone falling to pick four, the New England Patriots cannot help themselves and make the selection in this mock draft, but where will they turn to address their horrific offensive line?
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Travis Hunter, CB, Colorado
The Jacksonville Jaguars definitely need cornerback help, and could also use some WR help as well. Travis Hunter is the best of both worlds but is probably going to settle in as a CB primarily at the NFL level. This is the first draft pick of the Liam Coen/James Gladstone era.
6. Las Vegas Raiders - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Las Vegas Raiders should not take Ashton Jeanty with this pick, as their defensive depth chart is quite bad. Not only do they still have holes on offense, but their secondary is always needing a boost, so they take Will Johnson from Michigan.
7. New York Jets - Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Justin Fields is now the QB of the New York Jets, for better or for worse. The Jets take Will Campbell from LSU to try and figure out a long-term solution for their offensive line.
8. Carolina Panthers - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
I applaud the Carolina Panthers for being aggressive in trying to build a competitive team around Bryce Young, who has to have a big year in 2025. Well, the Panthers front office gives him a big target in this NFL mock draft and grabs Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona.
9. New Orleans Saints - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The New Orleans Saints should simply take the best player available with each of their 2025 NFL Draft picks. They grab Armand Membou at pick nine in our latest mock draft.
10. Chicago Bears - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Chicago Bears addressed their offensive line enough in free agency to warrant taking a RB in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. They grab Ashton Jeanty from Boise State in a move to field what could be an elite run game.
11. San Francisco 49ers - Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The San Francisco 49ers have to rebuild their defensive front and put an overall focus on their trenches, so they take Shemar Stewart at pick 11 in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
12. Dallas Cowboys - Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas
After not doing much in free agency yet again, the Dallas Cowboys add to a position of need and take Kelvin Banks Jr from Texas. Banks might be able to play both guard and tackle.
13. Miami Dolphins - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Miami Dolphins need someone like Tyler Warren who plays with a nasty edge and who can do everything that an NFL-caliber tight end can do. The Dolphins offense is going to make a huge leap in 2025 with Warren in the picture.
14. Indianapolis Colts - Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
After losing some interior offensive line players, the Indianapolis Colts take Tyler Booker from Alabama at pick 14 in this NFL mock draft. Booker is a very safe pick and is going to have a long and successful NFL career.
15. Atlanta Falcons - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
I would be floored if the Atlanta Falcons did not take a top defensive prospect with their first-round pick. In this mock, they grab Mykel Williams from Georgia to add some production to their defensive front.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Someone who could probably play both linebacker and EDGE at the NFL level, Jalon Walker from Georgia is one of the best overall players in the 2025 NFL Draft and is going to bring an instant level of juice to the Cardinals defense.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee
With the Cincinnati Bengals throwing a ton of money at Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, the entire NFL world can surely see that the team has to start hitting on some young defensive prospects. I mocked James Pearce Jr to the Bengals in our latest mock draft.
18. Seattle Seahawks - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The shuffling of the WR room continues, as the Seattle Seahawks take Matthew Golden from Texas and give Sam Darnold yet another weapon. Seattle did just sign WR Cooper Kupp in free agency.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Getting more talented in the secondary is absolutely a goal for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason. Malaki Starks is sitting there at pick 19, and the Buccaneers make the move as they try to again win the NFC South.
20. Denver Broncos - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Them signing Evan Engram absolutely does not take them out of the running for a first-round tight end. Colston Loveland is a more complete tight end and will allow the Broncos to use Engram all across the offensive formation.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
After spending $30 million per year for DK Metcalf and giving the Seahawks a second-round pick in the process, the Steelers turn their attention to the defensive line and take Derrick Harmon from Oregon.
22. Los Angeles Chargers - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
The Los Angeles Chargers have missed out on a lot of offensive free agents this offseason, so that might make it more likely that they use their first-round pick on an offensive prospect. Luther Burden III is on the menu for the Chargers at pick 22.
23. Green Bay Packers - Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
Jahdae Barron can play all over the secondary and could be a huge pick for any team that gets him. The Green Bay packers use the 23rd overall pick in our latest mock draft on Barron, a Day 1 starter.
24. Minnesota Vikings - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
After losing safety Cam Bynum in free agency, the Minnesota Vikings reset at the position a bit and grab Nick Emmanwori from South Carolina.
25. Houston Texans - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
The Houston Texans made a puzzling move along their offensive line in trading Laremy Tunsil. This team has to keep adding to this unit, or CJ Stroud is going to be running for his life in 2025. Josh Simmons from Ohio State makes some sense here at pick 25.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
The LA Rams take LB Jihaad Campbell from Alabama at pick 26. They simply need better players at this position, and Campbell might be the best pure linebacker in this entire class. To me, this is a very logical selection for GM Les Snead.
27. Baltimore Ravens - Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Adding a cornerback would be a wise idea for the Baltimore Ravens. In our latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Ravens take Shavon Revel from East Carolina.
28. Detroit Lions - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
After a ton of defensive injuries in the 2024 NFL Season, the Detroit Lions grab Nic Scourton from Texas A&M. With the Lions in a win-now window, they could simply take the best player available when the 28th pick rolls around, or they could hone in on some specific needs.
29. Washington Commanders - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
After trading for Deebo Samuel, the Washington Commanders grab another WR for Jayden Daniels and take the extremely safe and sound prospect in Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State.
30. Buffalo Bills - Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
After adding multiple players to their defensive line in free agency, the Buffalo Bills keep their foot on the gas and take DT Tyleik Williams from Ohio State. Are the Bills trying to turn into the AFC version of the Philadelphia Eagles?
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Grey Zabel, OG, North Dakota State
After trading Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears and signing tackle Jaylon Moore in free agency, the Kansas City Chiefs look to keep their interior offensive line and take Grey Zabel from North Dakota State. Zabel is a Day1 starter along the interior.
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
After losing Milton Williams and Josh Sweat in free agency, the Super Bowl champions take Walter Nolen from Ole Miss to try and replenish their defensive line.
