The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, so let's dive into our latest mock draft which contains three major trades. The NFL Scouting Combine is also quickly approaching, and with free agency right on the horizon, the 2025 NFL Offseason is only getting started.
Now that the 2024 NFL Season is over, we do know the official order of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Philadelphia Eagles tore apart the Kansas City Chiefs in a blowout game in Super Bowl LIX. And every other NFL team should have been watching that game for a perfect blueprint to build a Super Bowl team.
We'll see if the Eagles' victory drives up teams' desires to get stronger in the trenches. The latest mock draft we have is one round long and contains multiple major trades. Let's get into it.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Latest mock draft includes three major trades
1. Tennessee Titans - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Anything is on the table for the Tennessee Titans at this point, and when you think about it, that isn't a good thing. Ideally for Tennesse, they are slotted with the first overall pick and are just waiting it out to take the clear-cut best QB prospect in the draft.
But there isn't one, so the Titans can do a number of things with this pick. If they do not trade down, the most likely selection might be Abdul Carter, the talented pass rusher from Penn State. Being able to get to the QB is one of the most important qualities a successful NFL team has to have. The Philadelphia Eagles have done this just about better than everyone in the NFL.
And we saw their pass rush tear apart the Kansas City Chiefs' offense. Abdul Carter would be a great pick.
2. Cleveland Browns - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
The Cleveland Browns use the second overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft on Mason Graham. Graham is at the front of a super deep defensive tackle class, and with no QB worthy enough of the second overall pick, the Browns decide to get stronger in the trenches. The Deshaun Watson trade as totally blown up in their face.
And Watson somehow again tore his Achilles, so his time with the Browns and perhaps in the NFL could be over. Cleveland could pursue a bridge QB for a year while they sort that position out. Mason Graham is a pretty safe selection here, and that's kind of the type of player the Browns need at this point in time.
It's going to be multiple years before Cleveland finds their footing again.
3. New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The New York Giants take Shedeur Sanders at pick three in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. And at this point, we have covered just how poorly-run the Giants have been in recent years. From letting Saquon Barkley walk out the door, to giving Daniel Jones an extension, to passing up on three first-round QBs last year, the Giants have somehow messed up royally all over the place.
And it's not like Shedeur Sanders is that special of a prospect - he's not. The name is doing a lot of heavy-lifting here, and when you look at the prospect itself, you see a lower ceiling. Shedeur Sanders is strong from the pocket and accurate, but that's really about it.
The size is less than ideal, and the arm strength is average at best. Sanders would have firmly been a second-round pick had he come out for the 2024 NFL Draft. But because of how badly the Giants have messed up in recent years, they have no choice but to take this consolation prize.
4. New England Patriots - Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The New England Patriots are building this thing the right way. After hiring Mike Vrabel to replace the failed Jerod Mayo, the New England Patriots take Will Campbell, the stud tackle from LSU. Now, this can't be the only work that the Pats do along their offensive line this coming offseason - they probably need two other notable starters besides Campbell.
One player they could pursue is Trey Smith, the stud Chiefs' guard who is set to be a free agent. I think in an ideal world, they find a left tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft, sign someone like Trey Smith, and kick Mike Onwenu back to guard. That could be a viable solution to protect Drake Maye for the long-term.
Do not rule out the Patriots from making some noise in the 2025 NFL Season.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
The Jacksonville Jaguars have already had a pretty fun offseason and do have the luxury of playing in a weaker division. If new head coach Liam Coen can get the offense on the right track, this team could be right back in the mix for the division title. They did win it back in 2022. Anyway, at pick five in this NFL Mock Draft, the Jags will take Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who could play both cornerback and wide receiver at the NFL level.
Hunter is probably better at cornerback, so perhaps he could settle in there. Cornerback is also a huge position of need for the Jags, so that could be where they have him settle in. However, with Coen being an offensive mind, I am sure he would not mind seeing him line up at WR a few times a game as well. This could be the rare instance where a player can genuinely play both sides of the ball.
6. Las Vegas Raiders - Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
The Las Vegas Raiders have Cam Ward fall right into their laps with the seventh overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft. Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the two best quarterbacks in the NFL Draft this year but aren't exactly slam-dunk prospects. The good thing here for Las Vegas is that they hired Pete Carroll as their new head coach, so they'll get back on the right track at some point.
Ward could sit behind a veteran bridge for a year or two in a situation where Carroll rights the ship for a few years and retires.
Cam Ward might not be ready to start immediately. Could the Raiders try to pull off a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for Geno Smith, reuniting Smith and Carroll?
7. New York Jets - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The New York Jets seem to be ready to move on from Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, which is probably the right move for the long-term. They've got a new GM and new head coach in town in Darren Mougey and Aaron Glenn.
The Jets will then need to embark on finding a franchise QB, but in this NFL Mock Draft, both Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are going to be done when the seventh overall pick comes up, so they'll take Tetairoa McMillan, the massive wide receiver from Arizona.
McMillan could form a lethal duo with Garrett Wilson, who might be willing to remain in New York if Rodgers and Adams are not returning. However, this does not solve their QB situation for 2025, even. I would expect the Jets to pursue a high-end veteran QB who can at least stabilize things for a year. That may not sound like a great solution at the moment, but the Jets don't have much else to work with at the moment.
8. Carolina Panthers - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
The Carolina Panthers need a pass rush boost, so they'll take Mykel Williams from Georgia with the eighth pick in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Bryce Young really seemed to play well after getting benched, so all eyes will be on Young in year three. If he can take the next step, the Panthers might be cooking.
But after fixing their pass rush, Carolina is going to need to add another playmaker for Young. Pursuing a wide receiver in free agency like Tee Higgins or Chris Godwin could be an option, as they were just very aggressive in free agency last year. That trend could keep up this year.
Carolina could be a sneaky-good team in 2025 if all goes well.
9. New Orleans Saints - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
Well, at long last, we know that the New Orleans Saints have a head coach. Kellen Moore is the team’s head coach after spending the 2024 NFL Season as the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator. Moore won a Super Bowl in his first year on that job. He is now tasked with trying to revive the inept Saints’ franchise.
And I would have to imagine that Moore is going to get a longer leash here. I mean, why shouldn’t he? The Saints are terrible; they’re in cap hell again and this is a years-long rebuilding process for New Orleans.
It would not shock me if Mickey Loomis was a lame-duck GM, either. The Saints use the ninth overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft on Nic Scourton, a pass rusher from Texas A&M. The hope here is that the Saints can at least build up the trenches in hopes that the investment there pays off.
But they do also need to find a franchise QB.
10. Chicago Bears - James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee
The Chicago Bears are not too far away from being a contending team if you ask me. In this NFL Mock Draft, they use the 10th overall pick on James Pearce Jr, the talented pass rusher from Tennessee. Not only do the Bears need another pass rusher, but they could also use some offensive line help and perhaps a new running back.
Ben Johnson is the team’s new head coach. And the Bears were able to poach him away from the Detroit Lions, so don’t look now, but Chicago is actually on the right track. Johnson hired Dennis Allen as the defensive coordinator, so that side of the ball should remain solid.
I understand that it’s easy to joke about the Bears, but this team has made a ton of great decisions this offseason. If they can continue that throughout the 2025 NFL Offseason, this team could make the playoffs next year.
11. San Francisco 49ers - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The San Francisco 49ers might be trying to run it back yet again in 2024. They actually brought back former defensive coordinator Robert Saleh in the same role, so I would imagine that they want to keep some of the familiar faces in town as well. One area where this team should be addressing in the offseason is the secondary.
I mocked Will Johnson to them at pick 11 in this NFL Mock Draft. One of their starting CBs, Charvarius Ward, is a free agent, and it does not seem like he is going to return. It would also benefit the Niners to get some younger, cheaper players on the roster.
This team is going to have to decide very soon how they want to approach the contract situation of Brock Purdy, and the common opinion here is that paying him nearly top of the market would be a bad idea. I tend to agree with that thinking.
We’ll see what happens. We could see a very similar 49ers’ team to what we have seen in recent years in 2025. They take Will Johnson at pick 11.
12. Dallas Cowboys - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
In the most unsurprising pick ever, the Dallas Cowboys take Ashton Jeanty from Boise State and find a high-end running back for the offense. The Cowboys’ season went off the rails a bit when Dak Prescott went down with that hamstring injury earlier in the 2024 NFL Season.
And now Mike McCarthy isn’t even in the picture anymore. Brian Schottenheimer gets his first shot to be a head coach in the NFL, so we’ll see how that goes. He hired Matt Eberflus to be his defensive coordinator, so I gues that wasn’t a terrible hire.
The Cowboys just do not feel like a very serious team at all, and while RB is a need for them, this current Cowboys’ team taking one in the first round does not feel like the best practice.
But I am not sure you can tell Jerry Jones anything at this point, so if Jeanty is on the board when they pick, I bet they make the move.
13. Miami Dolphins - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
The Miami Dolphins use the 13th overall pick on Malaki Starks from Georgia. Jevon Holland is a free agent in 2025, the Miami makes a bit of a controversial move to take a first-round safety.
This would not be a shock though, given some of the decisions that GM Chris Grier has made in recent years. The Dolphins do need to get more stout in the trenches and could probably use another pass rusher.
The Dolphins again saw QB Tua Tagovailoa leave the lineup for about a month in 2024 due to yet another concussion. Some even thought that the QB should have retired following his latest concussion.
Until Miami eventually finds a high-end franchise quarterback, they aren’t going to go anywhere worthwhile. And in this NFL Mock Draft, they make an interesting move to take a defensive back in the first round.
The Dolphins probably do find a way to make the playoffs in 2024 if their quarterback was able to stay on the field for an entire season.
14. Los Angeles Rams - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The most notable trade we could see this offseason could be Matthew Stafford heading to the QB-needy Indianapolis Colts. The Colts give up their 14th overall pick, which means the Los Angeles Rams will pick twice in this NFL Mock Draft. The first Rams’ first-round draft pick will be Tyler Warren from Penn State.
Warren does feel like the best tight end in the 2025 NFL Draft by far, as he can truly do it all from the position and is going to be an immediate producer during his rookie season. Could he even be more of a complete tight end than Brock Bowers? I think that’s firmly possible.
The Rams make the major move to trade Matthew Stafford after four seasons, but the first season did bring a Super Bowl title.
And with Stafford creeping closer and closer to 40 years old, the Rams decide that now would be a good time to jump ship. The Indianapolis Colts essentially use their first-round pick on selecting Matthew Stafford, so we will see how that works out for them.
15. Atlanta Falcons - Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Did we all watch the Atlanta Falcons’ defense in 2024? It was bad. Not only that, but they kind of burned through a ton of money by signing Kirk Cousins in free agency as well. The move to sign Cousins initially was a fine idea, as the thought there was that the veteran QB could at least stabilize things for a few years.
And after a strong 6-3 start, it seemed like that was going to be the case, but Cousins seemed to decline in real-time, which eventually paved the way for rookie QB Michael Penix Jr to takeover. Now heading into the 2025 NFL Offseason, the Falcons are likely going to be cutting Cousins after just one season. That will give Penix the reigns for the time being.
Offensively, the Falcons are quite good - they’ve got a strong offensive line and a very good group of playmakers as well. This team does need to get more explosive on defense and just better overall, so Shavon Revel is the pick here with the 15th overall selection.
If this offseason goes well for the Birds, they could be right back in the mix for the NFC South title in 2025.
16. Arizona Cardinals - Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas
I have maintained for a while now that the Arizona Cardinals are close and simply need more talent on their roster. From 2023 to 2024, they doubled their win total from four to eight games. That does not happen without a strong roster foundation and some strong coaching as well. The team is still missing some high-end talent on both sides of the ball, though.
Kelvin Banks Jr could kick inside to guard at the NFL level and be a long-term staple for the Cardinals’ offensive line for years to come. Arizona also needs some pass rush help and could even use another wide receiver as well.
The NFC West does appear to be wide open with the uncertainty plaguing the San Francisco 49ers and the clear ceiling that the Seattle Seahawks have with Geno Smith as their quarterback. While the Cardinals won’t double their win total in 2025, they could squeeze out another one or two wins and make a run at the division.
17. Cincinnati Bengals - Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
The Cincinnati Bengals take one of the best players in the 2025 NFL Draft in Jalon Walker from Georgia. Walker might be best suited as a pass rusher at the NFL level, but some have said he can also play inside linebacker as well.
However you slice it for the Bengals; the big idea here is that this team has to rebuild their defense through free agency and through the NFL Draft. They basically wasted the best season of Joe Burrow’s career with how bad their defense was in 2024.
They did manage to win five games in a row to end the 2024 year, but that was only good enough for nine wins and an eighth place finish in the AFC, just narrowly missing out on the postseason to the Denver Broncos of all teams.
If de-facto GM Duke Tobin can fix the defense kind of like he did a few years ago back in 2021, the Bengals can indeed find themselves right back into contention. If not, this team is going to have an interesting future.
They also need to try and find a way to appease Trey Hendrickson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins with contract extensions.
18. Seattle Seahawks - Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
The futures of two Seattle Seahawks’ wide receivers are up in the air for 2025 and beyond. DK Metcalf could get traded and Tyler Lockett may not be with the team beyond this year. So on paper right now, the team’s WR room is still quite stacked, but that could change very quickly.
I went with Luther Burden from Missouri. Burden is great with the ball in his hands and is very hard to tackle. He’s got a similar play style to someone like Deebo Samuel, so that could be the type of player that Seattle is getting for their WR room.
They do need a franchise QB, as Geno Smith is not going to take them where they want to go, but it doesn’t seem like this franchise has the chance to find a new QB this offseason. For now, they will try and retool the offensive side of the ball a bit. Offensive line is also a huge hole for them as well.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers probably thought they were seeing Liam Coen return to his role of offensive coordinator, but at the last minute, he went to be the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bucs also have a major name hitting the open market in about a month in Chris Godwin.
However, this team does have to address the defensive side of the ball. They could use another pass rusher and another player in their secondary. At pick 19 in this NFL Mock Draft, I went with Benjamin Morrison, the talented CB from Notre Dame.
The main issue with the Bucs is that they seem to be a good, not great team. They have been a regular in the playoffs ever since Tom Brady first got there in 2020, but are they going to get back to the Super Bowl with Baker Mayfield under center?
20. Denver Broncos - Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
The Denver Broncos had the best pass rush in the NFL last year and one of the best overall defensive lines, so why not keep it a strength? This is especially a goal if they watched the Philadelphia Eagles dominate the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
It is a wise roster-building technique to always be proactive with some of the more valuable positions to an NFL team like the offensive and defensive lines. Right now, the Broncos could really only lose DJ Jones to free agency, but next offseason, all of Zach Allen, John Franklin-Myers, and Malcolm Roach could hit the FA market.
This makes the DL a need for the Broncos now, so at pick 20, they take Derrick Harmon from Oregon. This could still be a wise pick even if they bring back DJ Jones on a short-term deal.
Denver has to continue keeping the best part of their team a strength. They do have the opportunity to address the playmakers on offense in free agency or later on in the 2025 NFL Draft. Bo Nix threw 29 touchdowns during his rookie season, so this team is very much on the right track for the long-term.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers - Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
The Pittsburgh Steelers seemed to always have a top-tier offensive line in the 2010s, but that has kind of fallen by the wayside in recent years, and it surely did not help when Russell Wilson and Justin Fields were taking snaps for the team in 2024.
Pittsburgh is the messiest playoff team we have seen in quite some time - they have no franchise QB plan in place and roster issues everywhere. Some of their best players are getting old and worn out, and the head coach seems to still be living in those 2010s days.
The Steelers use their first-round pick on an offensive line prospect for the second year in a row and grab Tyler Booker, the talented guard from Alabama. At the moment, none of us truly have any idea who is going to be taking snaps for the team in 2025. If it’s Russell Wilson, they aren’t serious about winning.
If it’s Justin Fields, they aren’t serious about winning…
22. Seattle Seahawks - Cameron Williams, OT, Texas
Another trade we have here is the Los Angeles Chargers acquiring WR DK Metcalf and the 82nd overall pick from the Seattle Seahawks for the 22nd overall pick, so this gets the Seahawks into Round 1 for the second time in this NFL Mock Draft.
How about this move? There have been some indications here and there that the Seahawks could trade DK Metcalf this offseason, so I whipped up a potential trade with a team who has a huge need at the position in the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers do give up their first-round pick, but they acquire Metcalf and the Seahawks’ 82nd overall pick. I did not feel like Metcalf by himself was worth a first-round pick. He is slowly beginning to get up there in age and isn’t always a consistent no. 1 wide receiver. That was my reasoning for including the third-rounder in the deal.
Chargers’ GM Joe Hortiz seems to think the return is enough to part with the 22nd overall pick. Seattle takes OT Cameron Williams, the tackle from Texas, so with their two first-round picks, they bring in a young wide receiver and a young tackle.
The Seahawks are clearly building for the future on offense.
23. Green Bay Packers - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
As we have said time and time again, the main issue with the Green Bay Packers is that this team is filled with a ton of ‘good’ players. They need to find some elite, game-changing players on both sides of the ball to truly make that next leap into contention. Now yes, them being in the NFC North does not help things.
But with the Detroit Lions losing both of their coordinators and the Minnesota Vikings likely resetting with a de-facto rookie QB in 2025, Green Bay might be able to make some progress and even compete for the division crown. At pick 24 in this NFL Mock Draft, I went with Matthew Golden from Texas. Golden is one of the more well-rounded wide receivers in this draft class.
And it’s not a super deep draft class at the position, so any team that does need to find a no. 1 WR should do so in the first round. Could Golden help the Packers’ WR room make that next leap? And is this team ready to take the next step? They went 11-6 in 2024 and lost in the first round of the NFL Playoffs.
24. Minnesota Vikings - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Safety could be a huge need for the Minnesota Vikings. Harrison Smith could return and Cam Bynum is a free agent in 2025. There is reason to be optimistic, though, as GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has been among the best in the NFL at his role for years now, actually. The Vikings’ success in 2024 was not a coincidence at all.
And if JJ McCarthy ends up being a franchise quarterback, the Vikings could find themselves right back in the postseason mix this coming season. With the need in the secondary present, I mocked Nick Emmanwori to them with the 24th overall selection. He’s the second safety to come off the board in the first round of this NFL Mock Draft.
Minnesota could use some interior offensive line help as well and could also use a new running back.
25. Houston Texans - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Emeka Egbuka and CJ Stroud formed an elite connection at Ohio State in 2022, so the two end up reuniting in the NFL. This would be a great pick for the Texans if they are able to fix the interior of their offensive line in free agency. All of a sudden with injuries to Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell, the WR position is a huge need for the team.
They lost in the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the second year in a row and did not seem to make much of a leap in year two of the CJ Stroud era.
Perhaps with the right additions this coming offseason, Houston can rise into legitimate contention. The iOL is going to be a huge area of need for them, and the Texans do not have a ton of cap space at all this coming offseason.
They are still largely in a good spot. They’ve got the QB down and have a strong coaching staff overall. The AFC South is also quite weak, so Houston doesn’t have to fend off another great team in the division. Emeka Egbuka would be an immediate contributor to the Houston Texans in 2025.
26. Los Angeles Rams - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
With their second first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams take Josh Simmons from Ohio State, so with their two first-round selections, they have addressed the offensive side of the ball. LA trading Matthew Stafford in this NFL Mock Draft could leave them without a QB.
They could bring Jimmy Garoppolo back as the bridge QB for a year, and when things are right around Jimmy G, we have seen that he can perform at a high level. It might not be an awful situation for the Rams, especially if they are able to get a first-rounder for Stafford. They take Josh Simmons at pick 26 and hope that he can become a long-term fixture along their offensive line.
LA has done a great job rebuilding their defensive line, so they’ll now try to get their offensive foundation into a similar spot.
27. Baltimore Ravens - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
What exactly do the Baltimore Ravens need to ger over the hump in the AFC? Year after year this team fails. Two years ago, they hosted the AFC Championship Game, but the Kansas City Chiefs came into their house and took them down.
And it 2024, the Buffalo Bills beat them in the AFC Divisional Round. All of a sudden, this Ravens’ team has again failed to win multiple games in the postseason since 2012 when they won the Super Bowl.
This should be a bigger issue than I think the NFL media world is making it. If you ask me, you have to wonder about the job security of John Harbaugh. Has he hit his ceiling in the NFL as a head coach?
He may not get many more chances. Not only that, but QB Lamar Jackson was clearly robbed of his third NFL MVP award as well. The Ravens use the 27th overall pick in this NFL Mock Draft on Armand Membou, who may kick inside to guard at the NFL level.
28. Detroit Lions - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
This almost feels unfair that the Detroit Lions were able to get Colston Loveland at the bottom of the first round, but they were able to do it somehow. The Lions do have a top-3 roster in the NFL when healthy, but that was their main issue in 2024. The defensive injuries were just too much to overcome for this team, and it ultimately spelled their demise in the NFC Divisional Round against the Washington Commanders.
Adding Loveland to the mix gives the Lions someone they can use as a bigger slot wide receiver. And I can imagine that the possibilities are endless with Loveland and Sam LaPorta in the TE room together.
This is a luxury pick for the Lions, and GM Brad Holmes has done a plenty good enough job at building up this roster to justify a luxury pick like this in the 2025 NFL Draft. Detroit seeks to finally get over the hump and perhaps make a Super Bowl run in 2025.
Colston Loveland stays in Michigan and heads to the Lions at pick 28 in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
29. Washington Commanders - Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
Getting Jahdae Barron into this secondary would be a great move for Dan Quinn. The Washington Commanders won 14 total games in the 2024 NFL Season and made a run with house money all the way to the NFC Championship Game. It was an insane season to witness and does set the stage for this team to put the league on notice yet again in 2025.
They’ve got cap space to spend and could be in the mix for multiple veteran trades if the prices are right. Jayden Daniels is already flirting with elite status, and it’s just abundantly clear that this team is on the right track.
Jahdae Barron can likely play all over the secondary and is a great pick for this defense with the 29th selection.
30. Cleveland Browns - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
Our third and final major trade of this 2025 NFL Mock Draft is the Buffalo Bills sending two first-round picks to the Cleveland Browns for defensive end Myles Garrett. The Browns used their second overall pick on Mason Graham, the defensive tackle from Michigan.
And now they use their other first-round pick on Walter Nolen, the talented defensive tackle from Ole Miss. The Browns finally trade Myles Garrett in this NFL Mock Draft, sending him to the Buffalo Bills.
It’s a great move for Buffalo, who again failed to get over the hump in the AFC and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. It was yet again another controversial ending. Josh Allen won the MVP this year, and for much of the year, it did feel like 2024 was going to be the year that the Bills actually got over the hump, but it just did not happen.
Buffalo could use some help along their defensive line, so Myles Garrett figures to take that unit to the next level. The Browns rebuild their DL after trading Garrett and now have two young and hungry players to leave their own mark with the franchise.
All in all, both teams are satisfied with the move. Myles Garrett heads to a contender and the Browns get some hope for the future.
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
The Kansas City Chiefs got smacked around in Super Bowl LIX. The final score simply did not do it justice. The game did show just what the main roster issues are for the Chiefs, and you may be asking why I mocked a defensive tackle to the team with them having a gaping hole at left tackle. Well, the DL could see some turnover this coming offseason, and the Chiefs could always address their OL in free agency or in future rounds.
Tyleik Williams from Ohio State is the pick here. Chris Jones is getting old and may end up losing a step in 2025. Furthermore, the Chiefs still have issues at wide receiver and tight end, especially if Travis Kelce retires.
The secondary could use Justin Reid in free agency as well, and it’s clear that the CB room felt the loss of L’Jarius Sneed, who got traded to the Tennessee Titans. Folks, this Chiefs’ team will have some work to do this coming offseason.
32. Philadelphia Eagles - Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
With Milton Williams and Josh Sweat set to be free agents in 2025, the Eagles could have a need along the defensive line. Kenneth Grant is the pick here, and it should not be a surprising one for this team. Howie Roseman built a juggernaut in 2024, as his Eagles’ team dominated the two-time defending Super Bowl champions.
The main reason we saw the game we saw was their elite and relentless defensive line, which legitimately did not blitz Patrick Mahomes once but still got a ton of pressure. Roseman has the roster-building down to the highest level in the NFL, so he’ll surely keep this up in the 2025 NFL Draft. The defensive line is absolutely on the board for Philly.
I could see them targeting the ILB position as well, as Zack Baun is a free agent. But when you look at this roster overall, they simply do not have many holes at all. It’s quite amazing how good Roseman is at this.
