While the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are plotting how to win Super Bowl LIX, every other NFL team is already laser-focused on how to win Super Bowl LX. And as everyone knows, great contending teams in the NFL are typically made through the NFL Draft. So how will each team approach the 2025 NFL Draft and building their rosters to compete with the likes of the Chiefs and Eagles?
Well, it’s not going to be easy. But that’s why we’re putting on our GM hats for a full three rounds of 2025 NFL Mock Draft madness. We have a brand-new face at quarterback entering the 1st-round fray. We have teams going heavy after playmakers. We have about as good of a defensive line class as you will ever see.
Teams are going to be able to build in the trenches and there are gems to be found all over the place at every position group. Find out who your team lands in this three-round mock draft with Super Bowl LIX on deck next weekend.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks fly off the board early in 1st round
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
It’s a new era for the Tennessee Titans going forward with new general manager Mike Borgonzi bringing his Kansas City Chiefs flavor to Nashville. Borgonzi saw firsthand what it looks like to try a number of different strategies and tactics at the quarterback position before ultimately going with your gut on a “risky” prospect in the NFL Draft.
As easy as it is to question the validity of Cam Ward with this pick, just remember how critical people were of the Chiefs trading up for Patrick Mahomes at one point in time. You have to go with your gut at the quarterback position but it will be interesting to see how quickly Borgonzi attaches his name to a player in this particular class. Cam Ward has big-time talent.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
There’s a chance we will see the star pass rusher out of Penn State go first overall in this year’s draft. In a class that seems to lack a true top-end talent at the quarterback position, Carter could be a true contender to truly be the best player overall in this draft and the Browns may not be able to pass on that. Given the contract situation with Deshaun Watson, this team needs to start loading up on pieces on both sides of the ball rather than assume they are in a championship window.
Carter could combine with Myles Garrett to give the Browns a fearsome duo off the edge for the next handful of years and then take the torch from Garrett if and when that day ever comes. Carter has big-time athletic traits and burst off the edge. He’s a stud and should be an immediate impact player in the pass rush department.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
I don’t think it’s impossible that a team like the New York Giants is going to talk themselves into taking a quarterback here in the first round, regardless of whether or not the selection has merit.
When you look at some of the pre-draft rankings that are out there from the experts who grade each player in the class, Sanders does not grade overly well. Certainly not highly enough to go third overall. This could truly be one of those “beauty in the eye of the beholder” types of classes.
But these teams have had the chance to be around Sanders all year long. They know he’s got the right mental makeup for the NFL, but will the speed of the game be too much for him? That was a similar question facing Josh Allen back in 2018 and Brian Daboll helped work wonders for him. Maybe he can do something similar for Sanders in 2025.
4. New England Patriots: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
When you look at the top playmakers in this draft class, Travis Hunter is on a tier of his own. Hunter won the Heisman Trophy this past year at Colorado and proved his worth as an elite prospect on both offense and defense.
There are legitimate questions about whether or not this guy is a top-10 player at both positions and I think the answer to those questions is emphatically yes.
But for the New England Patriots, I would love to see Hunter become the WR1 for Drake Maye and the new-look New England offense. The Patriots went out and hired Mike Vrabel in the 2025 offseason, and Vrabel knows a thing or two about versatility and playing both ways in the NFL. I do believe we’ll see Hunter play both offense and defense at the NFL level, but his primary impact should be putting his elite ball skills and body control to use at receiver.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
When you look at some of the players in this draft with high “floors”, Mason Graham is probably at or near the very top of that list. Graham puts his wrestling background on full display every single time you watch him play. He plays with tenacity and leverage that allows him to win on every down, and because of his three-down ability, he’s the rare type of interior defensive lineman who is actually worth this high of a selection.
As goofy as Liam Coen seems to be as the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, he actually inherited a pretty decent situation on paper. This team was competitive just two years ago and adding players like this to the defensive front could help them compete with the Texans for the AFC South title in 2025.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The Las Vegas Raiders made one of the boldest moves we saw from any team in the 2025 offseason when they hired Pete Carroll, bringing the former Seahawks legend out of retirement in hopes of getting back into contention in the AFC West. What do we know about Carroll from his time with the Seahawks?
Well, we know he’s going to emphasize the defensive side of the ball as that is the identity that led his team to a Super Bowl back in the 2013 season (and nearly back-to-back). But we also know that Pete Carroll’s best and most dynamic offenses in Seattle included DK Metcalf.
Tetairoa McMillan may not be a carbon copy of Metcalf, but he has a similar ability to win at every level of the field with size, catch radius, body control, physicality, and “my ball” mentality at the catch point.
7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The New York Jets have a new brain trust with general manager Darren Mougey coming over from the Denver Broncos and Aaron Glenn now the head coach after a great stint calling the defense for the Detroit Lions. The Jets have a lot of great pieces on the roster and the Jets are going to look to build upon that foundation under Mougey and Glenn, and I could see this team believing the best course of action is one more year of Aaron Rodgers and a possible reset in 2026.
Regardless of who the quarterback ends up being for the Jets, this team absolutely needs to add a dynamic presence at the tight end position. Tyler Warren is exactly that. He did everything for the Penn State offense this past season and has a complete skill set. He can play in line, he blocks well, he can run after the catch, and he has strong hands. It would be unfair to expect Warren to be the “next” Brock Bowers but he can be a highly effective weapon immediately at the next level.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
The Carolina Panthers had one of the worst defenses in the NFL this past season, and when you look up and down at the roster they assembled on that side of the ball, it’s not overly hard to tell why.
After trading Brian Burns to the New York Giants, the Panthers failed to find anyone even remotely capable of filling his shoes off the edge. They didn’t even get to see one of their top free agent pickups – DJ Wonnum – until later in the year when the season was already lost.
Carolina desperately needs to add pieces to build around on the defensive side of the ball, and that’s exactly what Jalon Walker can be. He played off the edge and off-ball linebacker at Georgia but his projection to the NFL will involve much more rushing the passer. He’s a high-character player who is likely going to be beloved in this pre-draft process by coaches around the league.
9. New Orleans Saints: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Let’s talk about a few things in this Saints blurb, shall we?
First of all, on Friday, it was widely reported that the Saints are expected to hire Kellen Moore as their new head coach in the very near future. The Saints obviously can’t finalize hiring Moore until his Philadelphia Eagles have played the Super Bowl, but it’s a foregone conclusion at this point.
With Moore coming to New Orleans, the next question will be – who is playing quarterback?
Maybe the Saints take a page out of their division rival Atlanta’s book and pair Derek Carr with an exciting young prospect here, or maybe they go after a reclamation project to develop behind Carr. Whoever is throwing passes would benefit from having Colston Loveland in the mix.
Would there really be two tight ends in the top nine picks overall? It’s possible. There are rumors that NFL teams have less than 10 total first-round grades on players in this year’s draft and Loveland would certainly be one of them. And his positional value has gotten a huge boost from guys like Sam LaPorta and Brock Bowers the last two years.
10. Chicago Bears: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Chicago Bears have a brand-new head coach in Ben Johnson, and Johnson knows that the first order of business in improving this roster in 2025 is going to be adding studs to the offensive line to help Caleb Williams, his young star quarterback.
We’ve had so many 2025 NFL Mock Draft scenarios at this point with the Bears taking LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell, but until someone clearly overtakes him as the top offensive lineman in this class, he’s going to stay in this slot.
Campbell has the athletic traits and technical prowess to be an immediate starter at left tackle in the NFL. That would give the Bears a very talented pair of bookend 1st-rounders with Darnell Wright starting on the other side of the line.
No matter what, the Bears need to address the offensive line and Campbell would be a great place for them to start.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Devastating circumstances surrounding the loss of a child could lead to the San Francisco 49ers letting their best cornerback – Charvarius Ward – leave this offseason. Ward and his wife can barely stand it to be in San Francisco with the memories of what transpired there.
As a result, the Niners are going to need to address the cornerback position. It just so happens that a lot of the best players in this class could push some of the top corners down the board, and Will Johnson is one of those guys. The former Michigan Star was every bit as-advertised this past season prior to injury with his outstanding combination of size and ball skills.
He has the size to be able to go up against any type of receiver in the NFL and if he tests well in the offseason circuit, he could easily end up going in the top 10 picks overall. The 49ers would probably love to be able to add him to their defense.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Try not to pick Ashton Jeanty to the Cowboys in a 2025 NFL Mock Draft challenge.
I guess we failed this round again. Luckily for Dallas Cowboys fans, this is a three-round mock draft, so you get to see more of what your team might do in the NFL Draft beyond just drafting Ashton Jeanty. But the stars have aligned, there’s no question about it.
Regardless of who you are asking, most NFL Draft experts would agree that Jeanty is one of the top 5-10 best overall players in this class. That means that if he lasts to the Cowboys, he’s going to be a value pick no matter what. And with the emergence of offenses that added dynamic running backs in 2024 (Eagles, Packers, Ravens), the Cowboys might view Jeanty as the true missing piece to their offense.
New head coach Brian Schottenheimer is under a ton of pressure this year but not as much as Jerry Jones, who is going to want to prove he made the right decision moving on from Mike McCarthy.
13. Miami Dolphins: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss
The Miami Dolphins have needs on the offensive line as well as at the safety position, but in a draft class that is absolutely loaded on the interior defensive line, they just might not be able to help themselves in this instance.
While I could see the Dolphins taking someone like Malaki Starks or Nick Emmanwori here at safety, maybe even Jahdae Barron, a player like Walter Nolen could also make a ton of sense. We’ve seen Miami invest heavily in their defensive front over the last couple of years including using 1st-round picks to draft/trade for Chop Robinson, Bradley Chubb, and Jaelan Philips.
They lost Christian Wilkins last offseason and bringing in a stud like Walter Nolen on a rookie deal could really help take this Miami defese to the next level. This guy is going to be an absolute menace, especially with those edge guys commanding so much attention.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
The Indianapolis Colts would have a slight lament here that neither Colston Loveland nor Tyler Warren is still available, but it would force this team to turn to the defensive side of the ball where the secondary has to be a priority.
Jahdae Barron could be the “joker” of a defensive backfield, someone who can play that deep safety role as well as come up into the box, blitz, play around the line of scrimmage, and play the slot when needed.
With the emergence of so many different “types” of players who can line up in the slot, having a strong player like Barron who can redirect routes and play physical with any type of matchup is a huge advantage. He’s drawn some comparisons to Brian Branch, who has been an absolute stud for the Detroit Lions.
Barron won the Jim Thorpe Award (given to the nation’s best defensive back) in 2024 and his instinctive style of play will endear him to defensive coaches at the next level.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
It’s going to be an offseason full of improving the defense for general manager Terry Fontenot and the Atlanta Falcons in 2025. The Falcons invested a ton in the offense over the last handful of years and the time has come to shift the focus to the defensive side. They’ve got their core players on offense with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. proving himself late in his rookie season, and a plethora of playmakers at his disposal.
The next big domino to fall for this team will be getting a game-sealer off the edge and while that’s a lot to expect from Mykel Williams, he has the traits to be a dominant player at the next level.
Williams had an injury he was dealing with this past season and it affected his play and subsequently NFL Draft stock as a result. Even with his struggles, the talent is evident and his fall in the 2025 NFL Draft could be the Falcons’s gain. They might not have a better scenario realistically available to them than this.
16. Arizona Cardinals: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
The Arizona Cardinals were in the bottom five of the NFL this past season (28th overall) in pass rush win rate according to ESPN’s metrics. We saw them try to address this issue during the year by swinging a trade for former Denver Broncos third-round pick Baron Browning, but that wasn’t the solution, either.
The Cardinals are fortunate in this year’s NFL Draft class because there are a plethora of players who could come in off the edge in this year’s draft and make an instant impact. One of the most obvious candidates is Tennessee’s star pass rusher James Pearce Jr., who was one of the most disruptive players in the nation over the last couple of seasons.
Pearce has a bit of a lean frame off the edge but he has deceptive power. And being a leaner edge player has never really been an issue for Jonathan Gannon’s defenses. He will find a place in his rotation for a guy like this immediately and Pearce could quickly reach 10-plus sacks in this scheme.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
I really struggle with which direction to go for the Cincinnati Bengals here at this pick slot. On the one hand, you have to acknowledge the very real possibility that this team could end up losing Tee Higgins in free agency. The star wide receiver has dealt with his share of injuries in recent years, there’s no question, but his value to the offense and taking pressure off of Ja’Marr Chase cannot be overstated.
The Bengals could easily go with someone like Luther Burden or Emeka Egbuka here and I don’t think anyone would bat an eye. But the defense also suffered tremendously over the last couple of years and this team could have a substantial need off the edge.
Trey Hendrickson requested a trade last offseason and became a Defensive Player of the Year candidate after his request was denied. His time in Cincinnati could be coming to a close soon while Sam Hubbard suffered a serious knee injury this past year. Mike Green is a stud pass rusher who was dominant this past season, even against better competition like Ohio State.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
I want so badly to put another quarterback here for the Seahawks, but new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will have at least one more year with Geno Smith. That doesn’t mean the Seahawks will avoid planning for the future if the opportunity should present itself, but perhaps they are more likely to rebuild the offensive line first, since that was such a problem area for them in 2024.
The right tackle position, in particular, was rough for Seattle. Not to mention, they had their starting center – Connor Williams – just straight up retire in the middle of the year.
Getting a player like Armand Membou who could step in and start immediately at right tackle or play guard as well would be huge for this Seattle offense in taking the next step forward. It’s important to remember that this team is not overly far away and if they can keep Geno Smith upright, he’s proven he can carve up defenses with the weapons at his disposal.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Buccaneers were desperate throughout the 2024 season for a jolt off the edge, but they’ve just struggled to find the right combination there since Shaquil Barrett’s elite production. That might be a little bit too high of a bar to set, but this team has absolutely invested highly in guys in recent years, using a first-round pick on Joe Tryon-Shoyinka as well as investing high picks in Payton Turner, Calijah Kancey, and Vita Vea on the interior.
This team has always built in the trenches but they might have to go back to the well to find someone to help them off the edge, even with a breakout 20-QB hit campaign from former third-round pick YaYa Diaby this past season.
Shemar Stewart has the length and athletic traits to be a disruptive edge player in the NFL, even if he doesn’t have great statistical production at the collegiate level. He’s one of those guys who you trust what you’re seeing on the tape and that the numbers will start to pile up once he gets to the big leagues.
20. Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
You just can’t help but watch the Denver Broncos this past year and think that a player like Emeka Egbuka could have helped this team’s offense be even more competitive in their AFC playoff bid. Bo Nix had an outstanding rookie year for the Broncos, who finished with the 10th-best scoring offense in the NFL this past season.
That number is a little staggering considering the Broncos haven’t had a running game to speak of outside of a couple of games last year, and they were among the league’s worst when it came to separation and dropped passes.
Emeka Egbuka can solve a lot of major issues for this team including giving them a true go-to threat in the passing game. He’s going to get open consistently and with his strong hands, give the Broncos a true chain-mover and dynamic threat in space. Sean Payton will love his size and willingness to block as well.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
We’ve all got to be careful when it comes to the NFL Draft not to be prisoners of the moment, and that’s entirely possible when it comes to quarterbacks gaining hype during the offseason circuit. However, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is a name who has been creeping up over the last handful of weeks and seems to be the type of player NFL teams might like in a class where every QB prospect carries plenty of inherent risk.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers, it might be time to dive head-first into the young quarterback realm again. The Steelers could bring back Justin Fields or Russell Wilson again next year, but for what?
Pittsburgh will eventually have to find a quarterback they can truly build around again and Dart has the look of a guy who could run Arthur Smith’s offense well with his strong arm and athletic ability.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
One thing we know to be true about Jim Harbaugh is that his philosophy has always been to build in the trenches first and foremost. We saw the Chargers go after Joe Alt in the 1st round of last year’s draft, forsaking prospects like Malik Nabers to bring him in. And Alt was a home-run pick, even without the same fanfare as a guy like Nabers.
Harbaugh and the Chargers could definitely use one of the top tight ends in this class, but I don’t think he’d be too upset about having to go after one of his former Wolverines on the defensive line, especially an athlete like Kenneth Grant. Grant knows both Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, and for those guys to be able to oversee his development at the professional level could get the most out of him and help him reach his high ceiling.
23. Green Bay Packers: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
The NFL is undoubtedly a copycat league in many ways, and the Green Bay Packers might be looking at the outrageous success of the Quinyon Mithell pick for the Philadelphia Eagles and hoping they can get some of that type of action in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Packers somewhat shockingly passed on corners early and often in the 2025 NFL Draft despite the fact that they had a clear and obvious need there, both for the 2024 season and beyond. The urgency of the need at cornerback has ramped up here in 2025 and general manager Brian Gutekunst might have to double-dip at the position like he loves to do.
Getting Shavon Revel Jr. here at pick no. 23 could prove to be a great value for the Packers, too. Revel was being considered arguably the top corner in the class before an injury knocked him out of the 2024 season. He could be this draft cycle’s version of Quinyon Mitchell, a smaller school corner who comes in and has a big rookie year.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
The Minnesota Vikings are likely going to be breaking in “redshirt” rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy in the 2025 season, which means they need to make sure they have their bases covered all across the offensive line.
Christian Darrisaw will hopefully be back to form after injury at the left tackle position, but there are a number of notable players slated for free agency in 2025 including starting right guard Dalton Risner as well as starting left tackle (in place of the injured Darrisaw) Cam Robinson.
The Vikings will need to fortify their offensive line and given how expensive it is to hold an offensive line together these days, a top-flight interior line prospect like Tyler Booker could be exactly what the doctor ordered for Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. You’ve got to build a wall around your QB.
25. Houston Texans: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
It’s hard to believe that a player with the hype of a guy like Luther Burden could fall to this pick for the Houston Texans, but I don’t think Nick Caserio would be complaining.
We saw the Texans go after Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Buffalo Bills last offseason, and because Diggs got hurt, that trade didn’t work out at all. The other really unfortunate and longer-term injury news from this past season came in the form of another devastating leg injury for Tank Dell. Two years into his NFL career, the promising young star receiver has suffered scary injuries, and nobody’s sure what the road to recovery for this one is going to end up being.
The Texans need to add more weapons for CJ Stroud to pair with Nico Collins and Burden has the skills to really upgrade that offense. He’s one of the best in this year’s class at creating in space with the ball in his hands.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The Los Angeles Rams have drafted so well in recent years, it would only figure that they’d get such a tremendous value in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Of course, we’re months away and this might never happen, but this would fall completely in line with what the Rams have done in recent years. They’ve benefitted from guys falling down the board, and they’ve maximized value at every turn of the NFL Draft.
The Rams went from having a contender of a team that was a total Frankenstein of star players who came together to form a super team to now having a loaded young roster full of absolute dawgs in the trenches.
Kelvin Banks is going to have a long NFL career at either guard or tackle, and I would guess the Rams would envision him as their left tackle in this particular instance.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
It might seem like a bit of a stretch to see the Baltimore Ravens going after another round one receiver but maybe not if Matthew Golden falls down the board. There are a couple of situations that could lead to this, namely the potential that the Ravens will need to find a way to replace the target share left behind by Mark Andrews if the team does move on.
Yes, they’ll still have the trio of Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Isaiah Likely to build around, but Golden could be a perfect fill-in as that third option at wide receiver.
The Ravens paid big money to keep Lamar Jackson around for the long haul. They are going to need as many playmakers as they can possibly get and perhaps if nothing else, Golden could hang on to a slam-dunk two-point conversion…
28. Detroit Lions: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
I don’t think there’s any question after what we saw at this past year that the Detroit Lions are going to build their defense a bit like a hockey team. As in, they need to be prepared for a total line change at any point in the year.
The Lions were absolutely decimated by injuries this past year and it was simply too much. The Titanic can stay afloat with water overflowing four compartments, but not five. At the end of the year, the Lions had a more impressive defense on injured reserve than many starting defenses in the NFL.
It was a shame to see it end the way it did for this team but it also highlighted the importance of just absolutely loading up if you’re Lions GM Brad Holmes this offseason. Getting a pass rusher like Donovan Ezeiruaku might not be the most glamorous pick this team could make but this guy can get after the quarterback.
29. Washington Commanders: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
If you would have asked me before the start of the 2024 season what position the Washington Commanders were going to need in the 2025 NFL Draft, I would have undoubtedly said left tackle. It’s rare for that to not really change over the course of the year.
The nice thing for the Commanders is that nothing bad happened to Jayden Daniels as they went on an incredible run this past year. The good news for them in the 2025 offseason, unlike after RG3’s rookie year over a decade ago, is that they can be excited about his development going forward.
Daniels will always use his legs as a big part of what makes him so special, but the Commanders are going to need to give him a clean pocket as well and Josh Simmons can help them do exactly that. Simmons was on track to become maybe the top overall left tackle in this year’s class before an injury this past year.
30. Buffalo Bills: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Positional value could drop some of the top safeties in the 2025 NFL Draft class, and I don’t think the Buffalo Bills would complain. Nick Emmanwori has the skill set to be an enforcer type and to potentially be an asset toward closing the gap with the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.
What is it that the Bills need to get the job done? Well, you might need someone on the defensive side of the ball who can really force the issue and make a game-changing turnover. Someone to come in and disrupt the flow of the game completely. Nick Emmanwori has the size, speed, athletic traits, and ball skills to be able to do just that.
Not to mention, this guy is versatile and can play all over the defensive formation.
31. Philadelphia Eagles: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon
Do the Philadelphia Eagles need another interior defensive lineman? Well, the answer to that question is always yes, even if it’s really no. The Eagles are known for absolutely loading up in the NFL Draft on the defensive front and this year should be no different. They’ve already got studs like Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and plenty of others on that defensive line. But in the NFL, it’s crucial to be able to bring guys in waves on the defensive front and Harmon is simply too good to pass on at this juncture.
He’s arguably a top-20 player but with the depth of this interior defensive line class, it’s possible we could see some talented players falling down the board. The drop ends here for Harmon because we know Howie Roseman values big men more than most general managers around the league. And that’s a big reason why his team is in position to potentially win a Super Bowl this season.
32. Kansas City Chiefs: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
I recently wrote a post on here about how Aireontae Ersery could end up being the absolute perfect fit for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Why? Well, Ersery is not only a Kansas City (MO) native, but he also just so happens to fit Kansas City’s biggest need right now.
For whatever reason, the Cheifs have not been able to figure out the left tackle position while Patrick Mahomes has been the quarterback. Maybe that’s been a good thing for them…?
The Chiefs are going to need to get a long-term solution at left tackle at some point here in the near future. Mahomes is only going to be 30 this coming season, but he’s also going to be 30. That’s a pretty huge landmark for him and as all of us in our 30s understand, Mahomes is not only going to need to adapt to the way he takes care of himself going forward, but the Chiefs are going to need to keep him upright as well. This guy helps them do that.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Full 2nd-round Predictions

60. Detroit Lions: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas
61. Washington Commanders: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
62. Buffalo Bills: Princely Umanmeilen, EDGE, Ole Miss
63. Philadelphia Eagles: Wyatt Milum, OL, West Virginia
64. Kansas City Chiefs: JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State
The Cleveland Browns start off this round with an absolute banger of a selection as they land Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.
Milroe may not be the most polished quarterback coming out of the college ranks but since when has that ever deterred NFL teams? I don’t know how easy of a time the Browns are going to have getting good help at the quarterback position with their roster in flux and the entire brain trust on the hot seat.
If Kevin Stefanski can pull off a miracle with Milroe, he might just keep his gig.
Another pick I love in the second round of this mock draft is the Washington Commanders getting Isaiah Bond. There is nothing more fun than a team that just loads up on young talent to surround a franchise quarterback and the Commanders have a good one in Jayden Daniels.

The third round of this mock draft apparently was destined to have an absolute run on running backs. And there are some really dynamic players lasting outside the top 64 picks in this scenario.
Kaleb Johsnon, Quinshon Judkins, and Devin Neal go with back-to-back-to-back selections, and I think running backs are going to be more heavily prioritized overall after we saw the jolt that was given to so many teams this past year, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Bucky Irving coming in as a fourth-round pick.
The days of the running back being devalued might be done.
You also can’t help but notice the entirety of the absolute haul the Raiders got in this mock draft scenario and be excited for Pete Carroll. Tetairoa McMillan, Malaki Starks, Quinshon Judkins, and Quinn Ewers would be an insane class to build on the already strong group the Raiders brought in in 2024.
