It's insane to think that we're already approaching Week 14 of the 2025 NFL Season. In the coming weeks, playoff-clinching scenarios for certain teams are going to begin, so that's the next big thing to keep an eye out for here.
There have been some teams already eliminated from playoff contention, so the other side of the coin has begun as well. On the Week 14 slate, there are a plethora of games that will have playoff implications, so this could be one of the more consequential weeks of the season.
As we have done, we have our weekly picks and score predictions for every single Week 14 game. Let's get into these game picks here.
New England, New York (N), San Francisco, and Carolina are on the bye

Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions
Thursday, December 4th, 8:15 PM ET
The Dallas Cowboys face off against the Detroit Lions in a massive NFC showdown, and this could have major playoff implications for both teams. The 7-5 Lions are likely at huge risk of missing the playoffs if they lose this game, which is a shock given how good they have been in recent years.
The Dallas Cowboys have rattled off three wins in a row and are now 6-5-1, only trailing the Lions’ record by a half game. In this contest, I would be shocked to see a high-scoring affair, so it could come down to who has the ball last.
The Cowboys and Lions can honestly move the ball at will, but with the improved Dallas defense, I am actually looking to pick Dallas here. They have the momentum, and the Lions just had a stinker of a loss against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.
Dallas is going to win a high-scoring affair, get to 7-5-1, and begin to truly get back in the NFC playoff race.
Prediction: Cowboys win 30-27
Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
It has really been two totally different seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons came into this season with some insanely high expectations, and after an encouraging start, the team has since collapsed, and it’s really putting the franchise in a tough spot, as they do not have a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
That first-round pick actually belongs to the Los Angeles Rams, who could be the best team in the NFL this year. The Falcons are also without Michael Penix Jr, who suffered a season-ending knee injury recently.
On the flip side, the Seattle Seahawks are coming off a shutout victory over the Minnesota Vikings and are neck-deep in a hotly contested NFC West race. The LA Rams losing in Week 13 has really made this division race interesting.
Unfortunately for the Falcons, there isn’t much of a path for them to win, but they could keep it close. The defense has been stingy at times, and they do have roster talent. Seattle, though, has a lot more to play for and is a much more talented team.
This would be a good ‘get right’ game for Seattle, as they barely got past the Tennessee Titans a couple of weeks ago and probably wanted to play a bit better against the Vikings. The Seahawks could win this game by multiple touchdowns.
Give me Seattle in this one. The Falcons are going to continue to spiral into madness and might be on the cusp of making some major changes this coming offseason. A fresh start in the front office and on the sidelines could be on the menu for this team unless something major changes. The Falcons are going to get embarrassed in this game.
Prediction: Seahawks win 27-16
Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
This game has massive implications for both teams, and it’s going to be a lot more interesting with Joe Burrow back in the lineup for the Cincinnati Bengals. He made his return to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13, leading them to a win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving.
The Bengals, with the win, improve to 4-8 on the season, and their only shot at the NFL playoffs this year is likely the AFC North title. The Wild Card race in the AFC is likely going to feature double-digit win teams, so the Bengals are already out of that since they can only win out for nine wins.
Luckily, the AFC North has been a disaster of a division this year, so there is a slim chance. On the other side, the Buffalo Bills are coming off a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and have to simply hope that the New England Patriots stumble, as they are behind in the AFC East and may have to settle for a Wild Card berth.
I do believe that one more Bills’ loss could take them out of the picture for the division. One more Cincy loss also likely takes them out of the AFC Playoff Picture. Both teams are going to be playing some desperate football, and while Cincy is flawed, they are a great team when Burrow is healthy.
Buffalo’s defense has been a sore spot this year, and Burrow is one of the best in the NFL, so the Bengals could move the ball with ease. The Bengals get the upset win. Cincy would improve to 5-8 with the win, and Buffalo would fall to 8-5 with the loss. Both teams really need this win.
Prediction: Bengals win 27-24
Tennessee Titans @ Cleveland Browns
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
Both the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns have had forgettable seasons so far in 2025. The Titans took Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and while he’s not been good on paper this year, the situation around Ward is catastrophic, and the Titans were the first team this year to fire their head coach.
Tennessee is in a position to earn the first overall pick yet again this year, and if I were the GM, I would consider trading out of that pick and getting a haul to move down, as they simply need an influx of talent on both sides of the ball.
It’s obviously not clear if Cam Ward is going to be the guy or not, but it’s not fair to him to put him in this situation. GM Mike Borgonzi has to ace the next couple of offseasons, period. On the other sideline, the Cleveland Browns have a playoff-caliber defense and are seeing Myles Garrett carve out one of the best defensive seasons in NFL history.
He’s likely going to beat the single-season sack record. The Browns could flirt with a winning record in the 2026 NFL Season if they simply gain some competency at the QB position. With two first-round picks, GM Andrew Berry could do that, as he’s really not as bad of a GM as people make him out to be.
Frankly, the Titans are going to struggle to put any points on the board. The Browns’ offense has been bad all season, so this could be the lowest-scoring game of the Week 14 slate. It’s also not really one that has any sort of playoff implications, as these teams are looking toward the 2026 NFL Draft, as we know.
Give me the Browns in a sloppy victory. The win doesn’t really help them in the grand scheme of things, but winning one game in this league is quite hard, so it does mean a lot to the players.
Prediction: Browns win 17-6
Washington Commanders @ Minnesota Vikings
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
The Washington Commanders and Minnesota Vikings likely came into this season with much different expectations than what they have done. The Commanders are now 3-9 on the season after a dramatic overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Washington has seen a ton of players missing time this year due to injury, and Jayden Daniels has missed a ton of action, which isn’t ideal.
Daniels seems close to returning to the lineup, though, so that has to be worth something. Washington came within just one game of the Super Bowl last year and are now obviously not going to finish with a winning record, which is a huge regression.
The Minnesota Vikings have to be one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year. Just last season, this team was 14-3 and riding high with Sam Darnold at the QB position. Well, the Vikings somehow made every single wrong move possible at the most important position in sports.
Darnold left in free agency for the Seattle Seahawks and is playing extremely well. The Vikings also had Daniel Jones on the roster, and he’s playing well this year with the Indianapolis Colts, and JJ McCarthy has truly been a historically bad QB thus far.
It’s hard to believe that the front office botched it this much, but here we are. If Jayden Daniels is back for this game, which is a firm possibility, the Commanders will win this one. If not, I think it’s a lot closer.
The Vikings defense is the best part of this team and does usually show up each week. I am going to take the Commanders in this one, but it’s shaping up to be a sloppy game featuring two bad teams.
Prediction: Commanders win 23-16
Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
All of a sudden, the Miami Dolphins find themselves on the brink of getting into the AFC playoff race. Now 5-7 on the season, the Dolphins have won three games in a row. They might just need to win out to make the playoffs, or at least have a shot, but this team is playing quite well right now.
And this comes after firing GM Chris Grier and trading Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles. Miami is a flawed team, but the foundation is there, and it would not shock me if Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa were back in their respective roles with the team in 2026.
The New York Jets are another losing team that has shown fight in recent weeks. First-year head coach Aaron Glenn, if nothing else, has been able to get this team in a position to compete hard, and that says a lot, as the Jets are lacking a ton of roster talent overall.
The Dolphins are the better team in this one, but this is one of those divisional games that could be a lot closer than we think. New York has gone 3-2 over their previous five games, so it’s not like they haven’t done some winning of their own.
I would bet the Dolphins figure it out and get to 6-7 on the season. The Jets’ defense has struggled most of the season and will not have many answers for the likes of Jaylen Waddle and De’Von Achane. Miami wins, gets to 6-7, and continues to give themselves a glimmer of hope to make the most improbable AFC playoff bid here in 2025.
The Jets lose again, but they have a ton of draft picks thanks to some major trade deadline moves.
Prediction: Jets win 30-17
New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Saints visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC South showdown in Week 14. The Saints were in a hard-fought game against the Miami Dolphins, but Miami held on. Rookie QB Tyler Shough has actually looked quite sharp thus far, and given the situation he’s in, Shough’s performance is encouraging.
It’s to the point now where the Saints might not be in a position to have to take a QB at the top of the 2026 NFL Draft. They could consider it if the right player is there, but rolling with Shough in 2026 is increasingly looking like a viable option.
The Saints are in the first year of the Kellen Moore era, and things have gone about as well as you’d have expected - which is not well. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into this game having barely gotten past the Arizona Cardinals at home, which is notable.
Tampa just isn’t a special team this year, and it’s reflected in their 7-5 record. The Bucs now have to fend off the Carolina Panthers, as they are 7-6 and just upset the LA Rams in Week 13, so the Bucs aren’t going to cruise to the finish line here.
With most divisional games, this one could be closer than we think, and I do believe Tyler Shough will be able to move the ball down the field here, keeping this one closer. In the end, though, the Bucs are the more talented team and have the better operation overall.
The Bucs have to win this one to begin getting their record in a better spot to get some solid playoff seeding when they inevitably win the NFC South this year.
Give me Tampa Bay in a close game where they end up pulling away in the end.
Prediction: Buccaneers win 26-20
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
Oh boy. This game could be something special. All of a sudden, the Jaguars and Colts are tied up with an 8-4 record, and the Jags are now the first-place team in the division. After a wicked hot start from Indy this year, they have cooled off in recent weeks and now find themselves in a Wild Card seed.
We are not all that far removed from Indy being a runaway favorite for the top seed in the AFC, and it just goes to show you how quickly things can change in the NFL. The Colts may now struggle to get into the playoffs altogether with how tough their remaining schedule is.
The Jags also keep stacking wins and are 8-4 themselves, but they are doing this with very limited talent. It’s clear that first-year head coach Liam Coen and his staff are the right ones for the job, as Jacksonville does have a legitimate shot at the division title.
We obviously cannot rule out the 7-5 Houston Texans who are one of the hottest teams in the NFL this year. With the way things have been trending for both teams, I would be inclined to pick the Jags in this one.
The defense is good enough to contain the high-flying Indy offense, and Colts’ QB Daniel Jones has really struggled in recent weeks and is dealing with a fractured leg as well. However, Indy can hurt opponents on offense with a plethora of players, and I do believe Shane Steichen is going to have them ready to go, as they have to begin thinking ‘must win’ with some of these games.
This is going to be a close game, and I am going to be boring and pick the home team here by three points. The Jags could possess the ball last and kick a game-winning field goal, getting to 9-4 in our predictions and sending to Colts to 8-5, which would only make their playoff hopes fainter.
Prediction: Jags win 26-23
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, December 7th, 1:00 PM ET
Oh man, what a division the AFC North has been this year. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens have a 6-6 record, which is the best in the division through the first 13 weeks of the season, so by all accounts, it’s been a bad division as a whole this year, as no team has a winning record.
The Pittsburgh Steelers got blown out by the Buffalo Bills at home and were once 4-1, so this dropoff is as brutal as it gets. The Ravens lost to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving in a game where Joe Burrow was able to have his way with the Ravens’ defense.
We’re to the point now where the AFC North could come down to the final week of the regular season, as these teams still have to play each other twice. The Bengals are also still in it as well. Pittsburgh and Baltimore have also had opposite seasons if you think about it.
Pittsburgh began the year 4-1, and Baltimore began the season 1-5 thanks to a ton of injuries. Neither team is going to win anything when the playoffs roll around, and with each team already having six losses, it could be a division title or no playoffs at all, which is a brutal reality in today’s NFL.
I would take the home team in this one, as the Ravens do have Lamar Jackson and the better overall roster. The Steelers struggle on defense and are seeing Aaron Rodgers take a beating back there.
A once-proud division is mediocre at best this year. Baltimore is going to win a sloppy game and regain control of the AFC North, likely being able to seal the deal down the stretch, and perhaps a losing season for the first time in the Mike Tomlin era is what this Steelers’ franchise really needs.
This is also the flaw of the NFL playoff seeding, as the NFL guarantees a top-4 seed for each division winner, no matter how good or bad that division is in a given season.
Prediction: Ravens win 20-17
Denver Broncos @ Las Vegas Raiders
Sunday, December 7th, 4:05 PM ET
The Denver Broncos are 10-2 on the season and are in Las Vegas to face the Raiders in Week 14. These two teams met a few weeks ago on Thursday Night Football and gave us one of the ugliest games of the season thus far.
The Broncos have won nine games in a row and have not lost since September. This team continually comes through in one-score games and have simply found ways to win. Some have given the Denver Broncos the ‘fraud’ label, as they are barely getting by opponents, but they have 10 wins for a reason.
The defense is top-tier, and Bo Nix has been one of the most clutch QBs in the NFL this year. Simply put, Denver is a juggernaut and are stacking wins because they are one of, if not, the best team in the NFL.
The Raiders are the total opposite, as they are 2-10 and quite literally have the complete opposite record. This team has fired now former offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and special teams coordinator Tom McMahon.
A year after cleaning house and starting fresh, the Raiders are primed to do the same exact thing after the 2025 NFL Season. The decisions to hire Pete Carroll and trade for Geno Smith have blown up in their faces, and it seems like everyone grossly overestimated this roster overall.
Using a top-10 NFL Draft pick on Ashton Jeanty was also egregious and a horrendous decision. This could be a close game, as it’s a divisional game, but the Broncos should be able to put on a better offensive performance.
The Raiders do have someone named Brock Bowers, who is pretty good, but outside of that, they really don’t have much else to like. Give me the Broncos in a convincing win, and one that they need.
All of these close wins are nice, but a blowout or two could help this team find themselves as they hope to attain the no. 1 overall seed in the AFC playoffs for the first time since 2015.
Prediction: Broncos win 24-12
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday, December 7th, 4:25 PM ET
I am not so sure that people thought the Chicago Bears would be the first seed in the NFC through the first 13 weeks of the 2025 NFL Season, but here we are. The Bears are 9-1 over their last 10 games and winning one-score games left and right. The Bears took down the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday and earned a crucial head-to-head tiebreaker if needed.
Chicago is also first in the NFC North. The Bears sit at 9-3, and the Green Bay Packers are right behind at 8-3-1, having a tie against the Dallas Cowboys on their record this year. On paper, the Packers should win this one, as they are the better team.
And I do kind of think the Bears are playing with a bit of house money, as Ben Johnson is in his first year as head coach, and QB Caleb Williams has not been great this year. Williams does kind of miss some of the layups and will miss easy throws from time to time.
In today’s NFL, especially with it being this late in the season, the QB matchup is something huge that can decide this, so I would give the nod to the Packers and Jordan Love. The Packers also have to win enough to leap over the Bears in the standings.
The Detroit Lions, on a side note, are 7-5 and likely out of the mix. This game is going to be a close one, as the Bears have taken down some legitimate teams this year and are for real, but the Packers are more battle-tested and will be able to do just enough to win.
If so, the Bears would drop to 9-4 on the season, and the Packers would improve to 9-3-1, leaping over Chicago in the NFC North. The division race here could come down to the final couple of weeks of the season.
At the end, though, Green Bay is a little bit better.
Prediction: Packers win 24-22
Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
Sunday, December 7th, 4:25 PM ET
The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals both lost in Week 13, and most of us did not see the Rams game coming, as the Carolina Panthers just aren’t on their level, but here we are. The NFC West race got a lot more interesting with the Rams losing and the 49ers and Seahawks winning.
All of a sudden, LA is at a bit of a risk of losing their lead, but in the end, they should be able to take care of business, as this is the best team in the NFC West right now, and Matthew Stafford is still playing out of his mind this year.
The Rams are a Super Bowl contender and might be one of a small handful of those teams this year. Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay led this team to the Super Bowl back in 2021, so there is no reason to believe they can’t do it again.
The Cardinals come into this game having started 2-0 on the season but collapsing ever since. They recently lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13 and are surely just desperate for one win at this point.
Arizona is likely moving on from Kyler Murray in some capacity this year, so the regime of Monti Ossenfort and Jonathan Gannon will likely get to pick ‘their guy.’ Jacoby Brissett has since been starting, and he’s been fine, but he’s nothing special.
And I really find it hard to believe that the Rams are going to lose two games in a row. This team is too talented and too well-coached to lose two times in a row, especially dropping a game to the Cardinals with what could be at stake.
The Rams are going to pour it on in Week 14 and could win by multiple touchdowns against a Cardinals team having way more questions than answers. Matthew Stafford is going to get back on track and not throw any interceptions in this one.
Give me the Rams in a runaway game.
Prediction: Rams win 35-17
Houston Texans @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday, December 7th, 8:20 PM ET
This might be one of the biggest games of the season in the AFC thus far, as the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are battling for a playoff spot. Each team does have a chance at winning the division, but the Chiefs are much less likely to do that.
The Houston Texans began the year 0-3, and it seemed like it was going to turn into one of those forgettable seasons that leave a bad taste in your mouth. However, Houston has since gone 7-2 and is now just one game behind the Jaguars and Colts, as both teams are 8-4.
The Texans’ defense has been amazing this year, and the offense is doing enough to win games. CJ Stroud made his return to the lineup in Week 13 as well and was good enough in his first game back in about a month.
Houston is dangerous - the defense is elite, and the offense is good enough to break out most weeks. The Kansas City Chiefs are 6-6 on the season and are becoming a weak, flat-out bad team in one-score games, recently losing to the Dallas Cowboys.
Kansas City is at risk of totally missing the playoffs and might not even make the postseason if they win out. This roster is average at best, and Patrick Mahomes has not been all that great this year, either.
There is a reason why the Chiefs are 6-6 and reeling, and Houston is 7-5 and surging at the right time. I am wondering if the lights are going to be too bright for the Texans, and with the Chiefs in a desperation mode, I would not be shocked to see KC pulling this one out and getting themselves and the Texans to 7-6 on the season.
I would feel differently if this game was in Houston, but the Texans could win this one. I am taking the Chiefs, though. They’ll do just enough at home.
Prediction: Chiefs win 23-17
Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Chargers
Monday, December 8th, 8:15 PM ET
The final game of Week 14 promises to be a good one, as the Philadelphia Eagles face the Los Angeles Chargers, and this is yet another game with massive playoff implications. The Eagles are just not a very good team this year and lost to the Chicago Bears in Week 13, dropping to 8-4. All of a sudden, the 6-5-1 Dallas Cowboys are right on their tails.
Philly’s offense has been quite sloppy this year, and they have a big test against a formidable Chargers’ defense. The Eagles have won eight games for a reason, though, as they have typically figured it out more often than not.
The Eagles have more overall roster talent than the Chargers, so that’s a factor here, but I would argue that the Chargers have the better overall coaching staff and are obviously playing this one at home, so that should be to their advantage.
Justin Herbert’s broken hand is something to keep an eye out for, as he could miss this Monday Night Football showdown, but nothing is a guarantee at the moment. Given that the Eagles are a more proven team overall and are usually playing well in high-stakes situations, they might find a way here.
The Chargers have also had big-time struggles along their offensive line, and Herbert’s status is not a guarantee one way or another. LA still has a shot at winning the AFC West, but they do not control their own destiny for the title.
Both teams are in relatively urgent situations overall. But ask yourself, who do you trust more? While the Eagles have had their issues this year, this team did just win the Super Bowl. Take the safe bet and pick the Eagles here.
