The 2026 NFL Draft is still three months away, but it's not too early to take a look at the 2027 NFL Draft.
The 2027 NFL Draft class is going to be one of the most highly anticipated draft classes in recent memory, given the potential influx of talent coming to the NFL at positions like quarterback and wide receiver. The class of 2027 has it all when it comes to star power and the ability to drive engagement with polarizing prospects.
The 2026 class is not to be overlooked, by any means, but you can bet that teams will have a very good feel for the 2027 class and how they can plan accordingly for the future. We know it's way too early, but we're taking a look at a complete 1st-round 2027 NFL mock draft.
2027 NFL Mock Draft: Arch Manning tops insane future class of prospects
1. Cleveland Browns: Arch Manning, QB, Texas
Despite a ton of odd pushback on this idea, I’ve been saying for a long time that whenever Arch Manning declares for the draft, he’s going to be the top pick. And it’s impossible to see this far into the future, but you can’t help but wonder if the Browns get the #1 pick, would the Manning family force a trade somewhere else?
2. Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
The expectation is that the Raiders are going to use the #1 overall pick in this year’s draft on quarterback Fernando Mendoza. If they get one more shot inside the top two picks overall, getting a piece like Jeremiah Smith to go along with Mendoza, Brock Bowers, and Ashton Jeanty? Well, they’d sell a lot of jerseys, if nothing else.
3. New York Jets: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
The New York Jets might get a mulligan on taking Dante Moore after all. Moore is just 20 years old and has tremendous talent, but clearly felt like there were elements of his game he wanted to improve before making the jump to the NFL. Especially with him being all but guaranteed as a top-5 pick, he’s really taking a massive risk.
4. Arizona Cardinals: DJ Lagway, QB, Baylor
Baylor won the transfer bidding for quarterback DJ Lagway, another phenomenal talent whose stock in next year’s draft is largely dependent on what he does in 2026. Another prospect who is just 20 years old right now, Lagway might need another couple years of refinement, but if he’s in the class of 2027, QB-needy teams will be all over it.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
It’s going to be fascinating to see how the Pittsburgh Steelers handle the first year post-Mike Tomlin. A 19-year era has come to an end, and now this team faces more uncertainty than most fans have experienced. At least when Tomlin took over, the Steelers had Ben Roethlisberger entering his prime. This is the first total reset we’ve seen for them in quite some time.
6. Miami Dolphins: Ryan Williams, WR, Alabama
There will be a lot of teams in the market for quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft, the Dolphins likely included in that. With Tua Tagovailoa’s future hanging in the balance, it’s going to be fascinating to see what happens in the next 2-3 months for this Dolphins franchise. They’ll have a new head coach after hiring a new GM, which always means a new QB. But that QB is also going to need weapons, and Ryan Williams is a blue-chip talent.
7. Tennessee Titans: Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas
We saw this happen (to an even more extreme degree) in the 2024 NFL Draft where quarterbacks and offensive position players pushed defensive talent down the board. But unlike in the 2024 draft, this year’s class has some blue-chip players off the edge worthy of top-10 selection. And Colin Simmons might be the best of them all. He’s been an absolute menace over the last two years with 21 total sacks.
8. Carolina Panthers: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina
If the Carolina Panthers drop from winning the NFC South all the way back into the top 10 of the NFL Draft, there will likely be some major overhauls coming. This coming season is already the fourth year in the league for Bryce Young. The Panthers are picking up his 5th-year option, but that doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to stick around long-term of they can’t get the job done. Getting an elite presence off the edge never hurts, especially when you can shop local.
9. Atlanta Falcons: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
By the time the 2027 NFL Draft rolls around, this will be the first first-round pick the Falcons will have made since trading up and taking James Pearce Jr., the likely Defensive Rookie of the Year this year. The Falcons have long-term rebuild written all over them with no GM or head coach at the time of this writing, so taking one of the premium positions in 2027 (QB, WR, CB, OT, EDGE) makes the most sense.
10. New York Jets (from Cowboys): Jordan Ross, DL, LSU
The Jets have three first-round picks to play with in next year’s draft, so that fan base is going to be rooting hard for the failure of the Dallas Cowboys as well as the Indianapolis Colts. And with the trade sending Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys, the Jets definitely need another presence up front. Jordan Ross is going to be playing for Lane Kiffin at LSU this season, and we’ve seen a ton of pro defensive linemen developing under him at Ole Miss in recent years.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
The Buccaneers taking this significant of a step back would be staggering, but the way the 2025 season ended, would it really surprise anyone? This is a Bucs team that is on the cusp of having to blow things up and start from scratch again. Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin, and Vita Vea will all be free agents after the 2026 season. If they have to rebuild, they will likely need to start in the trenches.
12. New York Jets (from Colts): OJ Frederique Jr., CB, Miami
I’m sure the Jets will address the Sauce Gardner trade with the Colts in the 2026 NFL Draft as well, but this is as much of a “best player available” situation as anything else. When you have this much capital to spend in the 1st round, you’ve got to lock up franchise cornerstones at hte most expensive positions. OJ Frederique Jr. is part of a fantastic defense right now at Miami and has a chance to become the CB1 of next year’s class.
13. New Orleans Saints: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
The discovery of a potential franchise quarterback in Tyler Shough has made the immediate projection of the Saints drastically different than pretty much anyone expected heading into the 2025 season. Now, we’ll see how GM Mickey Loomis builds around him. The Saints have obvious needs right now at RB and WR, but we’ll see what presents itself by the time the 2027 Draft rolls around. Cam Coleman is a high-profile transfer to Texas who could really see his stock elevated catching passes from Arch Manning.
14. Los Angeles Chargers: A’Mauri Washington, DL, Oregon
The Chargers need help in the trenches right now on both sides of the ball. The immediate concern is on the offensive line, which is likely where we’re going to see them allocate their primary 2026 assets. That could push the 2026 needs on the interior defensive line to 2027, and they try the short-term fixes defensively. But at this time a year from now, A’Mauri Washington could be a great fit.
15. Kansas City Chiefs: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
We don’t know at this point what the future holds for the Kansas City Chiefs. With Patrick Mahomes making his way back from a serious knee injury, the offensive line in shambles, and the team’s core players getting older every year, we’re really headed into the unknown. The offensive line might need wholesale renovations by the time 2027 rolls around, where Jawaan Taylor is set to hit free agency.
16. Washington Commanders: Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri
Sitting here in the early stages of the 2026 offseason, the running back being a first-round target for the Commanders feels like such a luxury. But it was such a popular pick for this team in 2025 mock drafts based on how well they played in 2024. If the Commanders can attack the defensive front in the 2026 offseason, a playmaker like Ahmad Hardy in the 1st round of the 2027 NFL Draft is not out of the question.
17. Minnesota Vikings: Koi Perich, SAF, Oregon
In consecutive offseasons, the Vikings will have lost Cam Bynum and Harrison Smith if indeed this past season was Smith’s last in purple and gold. And while you would expect them to go after safety help in 2026, there are plenty of other areas this team will have to address early in the 2026 NFL Draft. Getting a playmaker on the back end like Koi Perich (6 INTs in his first two years at Minnesota) in next year’s class would be great value at this stage of the first round.
18. New York Giants: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
A lot of key players in the secondary for the New York Giants will be coming up on expiring contracts in both 2027 and 2028, so the team might want to get out ahead of that. And maybe even regardless of filling roster holes, it’s possible Ellis Robinson could simply be the best player on the board here. He just had four interceptions this past year and looks like a future star at the next level.
19. Baltimore Ravens: Jayden Jackson, DL, Oklahoma
One of the strongest position groups, at least extremely early on, for the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft class looks like it will be the defensive line. Jayden Jackson is one of a handful of players currently being projected in this range. The Oklahoma defense could have a number of top-tier prospects next year, and we’ll see who takes over the operation in Baltimore. But getting tougher on the defensive front is non-negotiable.
20. Philadelphia Eagles: Justin Scott, DL, Miami
The Eagles are always looking to upgrade in the trenches defensively. It’ll be fun to see what this team ends up doing if they have another year of struggles on the offensive side of the ball, but no matter what, Howie Roseman is going to want to have his roster absolutely overflowing with studs on the defensive front. Justin Scott is a former big-time recruit who could be the next top-flight prospect on that Miami defensive line.
21. Dallas Cowboys (from Packers): Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
The Dallas Cowboys don’t have their own first-round pick in next year’s draft (traded for Quinnen Williams), but they do have the Packers’ pick from the Micah Parsons trade. The Cowboys have some playmakers in the defensive backfield still, but they’ve gotten rid of some former key players in recent years, including cutting Trevon Diggs right at the end of the 2025 season. Watching that defense in 2025, they need help at all three levels.
22. Houston Texans: Nate Frazier, RB, Georgia
I think we’re going to see a major focus in the trenches on both sides of the ball this upcoming offseason for the Texans again. And maybe we get some more Day 2 picks for the offensive skill positions, but they can’t punt on the running back position again. If the Texans find themselves in a position where they need a 1st-round running back in 2027, it would mean the 2026 offseason was a failure to a degree. But Nate Frazier has three-down abilities and could be one of the top breakout skill players to watch this year.
23. Cincinnati Bengals: KJ Bolden, SAF, Georgia
Jordan Battle and Geno Stone led the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense in snaps played at the safety position this past season, and Battle is a free agent in 2027. The on-field results weren’t great either way. The safety position might be addressed by the Bengals in free agency in 2026, but some long-term players will be added down the line. KJ Bolden is another playmaker in the 2027 class who has been flying around the field in his first two college seasons.
24. Detroit Lions: Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson
Believe it or not, the rookie contract of Jack Campbell is about to expire already. At least, when we’re talking about the 2027 NFL Draft. The Lions need help all over the defensive side of the ball and on the offensive line, but they should be able to take care of some of those issues in 2026. The linebacker position would seem like a luxury here, but they can lock in Campbell long-term and get another piece like Sammy Brown to pair him with.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Eli Bowen, CB, Oklahoma
It’s tough to be a slot-type at the cornerback position and get first-round recognition, but Eli Bowen has the potential to be that type of chess piece for a defense at the next level. The expectation for the Jaguars is that we’re going to see Travis Hunter playing more cornerback in 2026, but how that all plays out could truly be the main factor for what this team ends up doing in the 2027 Draft.
26. San Francisco 49ers: Maraad Watson, DL, Texas
It’s worked out pretty darn well for the San Francisco 49ers to draft Alfred Collins on the defensive line. The big man out of Texas was one of the more underrated rookies on the defensive front around the NFL this season. How about dipping back into that well in 2027? Like I said before, this defensive line class looks really solid, and Watson had a great first year at Texas after transferring from Syracuse. The arrow is pointing up.
27. Chicago Bears: Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama
The Chicago Bears have a great group of cornerbacks right now, but how long will they be able to keep the band together? That’s one of the truly unfortunate aspects of winning and having success in the NFL. The team will have a really tough decision coming up in 2027 regarding Tyrique Stevenson, who will be one of the team’s most expensive free agents. The beauty of Caleb Williams on his rookie deal is that you can keep the core intact, but you still can’t keep everyone.
28. Buffalo Bills: Elijah Rushing, EDGE, Oregon
The Buffalo Bills seem to really like those big, long, athletic guys off the edge who might be considered “tweeners” by others. I guess you can’t really say it’s working out all that great for them at this point, but that might just be what GM Brandon Beane feels is going to work. Elijah Rushing is another player who has the type of frame you want as the first off the bus, but unrealized potential. We’ll see how much he can grow this coming season at Oregon.
29. Los Angeles Rams: La’Norris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
The Los Angeles Rams need to find an heir apparent to Matthew Stafford. One of our favorite mock draft picks for 2026 had been La’Norris Sellers to Los Angeles before he decided to go back to school, so we’re going to pick up right where we left off. If the Rams get another year out of Stafford in 2026, it is going to feel like he’s on borrowed time. The clock is ticking.
30. New England Patriots: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
Hunter Henry is going to be a free agent in the 2027 offseason, so the Patriots are going to have to start thinking about how they’re going to replace one of Drake Maye’s favorite targets in the passing game. Even though the Oregon program cranked out the best tight end for the 2026 class (Kenyon Sadiq) they might also have the best in the 2027 class as well in Jamari Johnson.
31. Denver Broncos: Jordan Seaton, OT, Colorado (transfer)
Jordan Seaton is currently in the transfer portal at the time of this post being written, but the former five-star prospect on the offensive line has the type of size and talent NFL teams drool over. The Denver Broncos have not drafted a single offensive tackle since they took Garett Bolles in 2017, and a 10-year anniversary special could work out well for them. Both Bolles and McGlinchey are getting older and the team needs to be ready to replace them at some point.
32. Seattle Seahawks: Marcus Neal Jr., SAF, Penn State
The Seattle Seahawks could be looking to revamp some of their secondary in upcoming years. You obviously have to figure that Devon Witherspoon will get a big-money deal when his rookie contract is up. Nick Emmanwori is still a key piece for this team. But another hard-hitting safety for Mike Macdonald’s defense would not be a bad idea a couple of years from now. Penn State’s Marcus Neal Jr. is a transfer following Matt Campbell from Iowa State, and he could see his stock elevated significantly.
