The New York Giants have some clear-cut needs approaching the 2025 NFL Draft. This mock draft is a heavy offensive class for the team. It does seem likely that the Giants may try to swing a trade for Matthew Stafford, the current quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams. Stafford did get permission from the Rams to go out and gauge some trade interest.
And because of the G-Men mishandling the QB situation in recent years, they are in an urgent position to make a huge move at QB this offseason. General Manager Joe Schoen really needs to hit this offseason out of the park to keep his job.
In the 2025 NFL Draft, it might make sense for the New York Giants to put a heavy focus on the offensive side of the ball.
Giants 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Team goes heavy on offense in latest mock
3. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Shedeur Sanders could be a safer pick for the Giants with the third overall selection. Sanders is not a high ceiling type of prospect, but he does seem to have a higher floor. He isn't going to wow anyone with the arm strength or athleticism, but he's got great touch on his passes and is very good from the pocket, which are two huge qualities a franchise QB must possess.
Sanders may not be ready to start Week 1, so in that event, the Giants could add a high-end backup QB to fill the role until the Colorado QB gets up to speed.
34. Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
Aireontae Ersery is the Giants pick with the 34th overall selection. New York has to get better along the offensive line, and one of the bigger misses of the Schoen tenure was Evan Neal, who does not appear to be an NFL-caliber starter. Doesn't it feel like the offensive line has always been an issue for the Giants?
After grabbing Sanders, the Giants get him more protection, which is a wise idea. So far, so good, right? Let's get into the rest of the picks here in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
65. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
The New York Giants letting Saquon Barkley walk in free agency last year did seem to be a bit of a mistake. The team could benefit from putting another body in this room next to Tyrone Tracy, who was pretty good in 2024, Quinshon Judkins is the pick here with the 65th overall selection, and thus far, the Giants have used their first three picks on the offensive side of the ball, marking a clear trend here in this mock draft.
104. Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas
Gunnar Helm is a notable name in what is a very deep tight end class in the 2025 NFL Draft. Their trade for Darren Waller a couple of years ago clearly did not work, and there really is no reason for this team to not take a tight end in the NFL Draft.
The New York Giants being able to get their offense on the right track is going to put this team right into playoff contention in 2025. We saw just how quickly franchises like the Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders turned it around after figuring out the QB position. More weapons for Shedeur Sanders is absolutely what the Giants should look to do.
Gunnar Helm it is at pick 104 in this 2025 NFL Mock draft.
134. Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma
Danny Stutsman is an inside linebacker prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft and is someone who could be an enforcer in the middle of the Giants defense for years to come. In 2024 with the Sooners, Stutsman had 109 total tackles and eight tackles for loss.
As a junior last year, he had 104 total tackles and 16 tackles for loss. Across his 47-game collegiate career, Stutsman amassed 37 tackles for loss, this is a player who absolutely knows how to get into the backfield to create some havoc.
With a solid defensive line already in place, the Giants add a player to their ILB room and grab Danny Stutsman.
155. Trey Wedig, OT, Indiana
Someone who has played both guard and tackle in college, Trey Wedig from Indiana could be a smart pick for the New York Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft. In today's NFL, we have seen examples of players excelling at both guard and tackle at one point. Two names that immediate come to mind are Mike Onwenu of the New England Patriots and Mekhi Becton of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Joe Thuney of the Kansas City Chiefs has also played left tackle before. Trey Wedig may never pan out to be as good as the players just mentioned, but there is room for him along the Giants offensive line to carve out a starting role, and the versatility is much-needed for this offense.
I would also expect the New York Giants to be a team that could address their offensive line in free agency as well.
221. Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame
Why not take two tight ends? We have seem just how valuable a competent tight end is in today's NFL, so there isn't a reason for the Giants to pass up on the chance to take two of them with how good this TE class is. Mitchell Evans from Notre Dame is their pick with the 221st overall selection.
In 2024, Evans had 43 receptions for 421 yards and three touchdowns. He can block a bit and is a natural pass-catcher, so Evans could be a nice developmental prospect at tight end for the Giants with the potential for a long-term payoff.
248. Max Brosmer, QB, Minnesota
Finishing up this 2025 NFL Mock Draft for the Giants, they take Max Brosmer out of Minnesota. There is a benefit to continually taking swings at QBs in the NFL Draft until you land on one, and I am not saying that Brosmer would be the next Brock Purdy, but there is no guarantee that Shedeur Sanders would even pan out to begin with, so this pick can't hurt.
Perhaps he ends up being a long-term backup option for the G-Men.
There you have it; a New York Giants mock draft.
