The 2025 NFL Draft is now approaching just over two weeks away. Let's check out the biggest risers and fallers in our latest power rankings. With free agency primarily over, teams are now turning their attention to the 2025 NFL Draft.

The draft is getting closer, but as we have said countless times, there are some issues with it; the QB class is flat-out not good, and the blue-chip talent just isn't there. Perhaps only 10-15 players in the draft class are truly deserving of being first-round picks.

It's a bad year to begin a rebuild, but some teams are firmly in one at the moment. As we creep closer to the 2025 NFL Draft, let's unveil our latest NFL power rankings.

NFL Power Rankings 2025: Browns bottom out, Broncos crack the top-10

32. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are just bad, point-blank-period. This all stems from the Deshaun Watson trade not working out. Not only did Watson tear his Achilles during the 2024 NFL Season, but he re-tore it, so he's likely not playing at all during the 2025 NFL Season. Thew Browns may end up trading for Kirk Cousins - that is at least my guess.

But until then, their starting QB is... Kenny Pickett.

Cleveland could be set to endure another brutally tough season. They are dead-last in our latest NFL power rankings.

31. New York Giants

Did the New York Giants upgrade their QB situation all that much? A dysfunctional team with a bad roster, bad management, and a bad QB room, the Giants pick third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. They added Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency, which made some think that they won't use their third overall pick on a QB.

New York could take Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter if either are there with pick three. The Giants are 31st in our latest power rankings.

30. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans hold the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and are likely angling toward taking Cam Ward with that pick. The Titans notably loaded up along the offensive line in free agency, signing Dan Moore at left tackle and Kevin Zeitler at guard. On paper, the Titans have a strong offensive line and do have the framework in place to insert Ward into their lineup.

The defense is also serviceable. But for this franchise, it all stems around if Cam Ward is the guy or not. Ward is a pretty raw prospect with a cannon for an arm and an amazing off-schedule ability. Some have compared his off-schedule and sometimes carefree play as being similar to Caleb Williams.

The Titans still roster Will Levis, and while they may announce a 'QB competition' in the summer between Levis an Ward, I think we all kind of understand that Cam Ward is likely starting for this team come Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Season. Tennessee is 30th in our latest power rankings.

29. New York Jets

What are the New York Jets trying to do in 2025? If it's win games, they aren't doing well thus far. The Jets actually downgraded at QB this offseason, cutting ties with Aaron Rodgers and signing Justin Fields, who is not a franchise QB and is nothing more than a high-end backup.

The roster is good on paper, but a first-year head coach and general manager could certainly make 2025 a lean year. This honestly might be more of an evaluation year for the franchise, as they aren't going to win many games and are surely going to finish last in the AFC West.

The New York Jets come in at 29th in our latest power rankings ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

28. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints should have begun rebuilding years ago, but oh well. New Orleans hired Kellen Moore as their new head coach, being the last team in the NFL to fill their HC vacancy. The Saints still plan on trotting out Derek Carr as their franchise QB in 2025.

The roster is old and brittle, and most of their best players are aging. This could be a year where if things start out pretty rough and the Saints only have a couple of wins at the deadline, they actually kickstart a rebuild with a few in-season trades.

The long-term financial situation is also at play here, as the Saints are continually tweaking contracts to get under the salary cap. It's just a messy situation that GM Mickey Loomis created. With mostly nothing of note going their way coming into the NFL Draft, the Saints are 28th in our latest power rankings.

27. Jacksonville Jaguars

Clearly embracing a youth movement in 2025, the Jacksonville Jaguars have both a head coach and GM under 40 years old. Liam Coen is the new head coach, while James Gladstone is their new GM. It's definitely something of substance, as many teams in the NFL embraced a youth movement, and it worked out for them.

The Jaguars do have some nice pieces on the roster here and there, but Gladstone really gutted much of the roster and clearly wants to build through the NFL Draft, which is a wise move. Gladstone comes from the Los Angeles Rams, so he surely has a sharp eye for college talent.

The Trevor Lawrence era has never truly gotten off the ground, and you kind of get the sense that time is beginning to tick louder and louder. Lawrence hasn't necessarily done himself many favors thus far, either. The Jags are 27th in our latest power rankings.

26. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are going to be this low in our current power rankings, but I am calling my shot now - this team is going to breakout in a huge way in the 2025 NFL Season. They got rid of Jerod Mayo, the failed head coach of only one year and brought in a true winner in Mike Vrabel, the former Tennessee Titans head coach who constantly got the most out of his rosters.

In 2024, the Patriots limped to four wins, and I could see them doubling that in the 2025 NFL Season. For reference, the Arizona Cardinals doubled their win total from four to eight during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, so it's very much possible.

I also believe that Drake Maye showed a lot of positive on tape and is someone who could truly erupt in 2025 if given a competent offensive line and another viable weapon or two on offense. The Pats might still be another year away from the playoffs, but this team is absolutely trending in the right direction if you ask me.

25. Las Vegas Raiders

Coming in at 26th in our latest power rankings, the Las Vegas Raiders are now featuring Pete Carroll as the head coach and Geno Smith as their starting QB. Smith also recently got a contract extension. Truth be told, I have no idea what the Raiders are attempting to do, as the Carroll/Smith duo did not work in Seattle, so why would it work in not only a loaded division, but a loaded conference?

The Raiders are assembling a team like they are purposely trying to win seven or eight games. This could at least stabilize them out a bit for the long-term, but I am simply not seeing much of anything of note with this team heading into the 2025 NFL Draft.

24. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers could be another legitimate breakout team in the 2025 NFL Season, as Bryce Young looked quite good when he was inserted back into the lineup following his benching in the 2024 NFL Season. On paper, the Panthers really need some more help for Young with the playmaker situation. The wide receiver room is just bad, and they could also use another tight end.

Overall, GM Dan Morgan has done a decent job with this roster, but it's time to swing for the fences and get his QB someone trustworthy and dynamic for the long-term. If not, I am not sure Bryce Young is going to cut it in Carolina.

Them playing in the NFC South is going to help for sure, but they still have a sizeable hill to climb. Still, though, they are trending ever so slightly in the right direction, but their success in 2025 truly hinges on Young's year three development.

23. Dallas Cowboys

I have no clue what the Dallas Cowboys are attempting to do for the 2025 NFL Season. It seems like they chased Mike McCarthy out of the building, only to downgrade at head coach with Brian Schottenheimer. Dallas created a ton of cap space, but did not make the appropriate free agency moves.

Micah Parsons is also without a long-term contract extension, so it's just a massive mess right now. Jerry Jones should probably step away, at least that's what I think, but it does not seem like he's prepared to do that right now. Dallas is not going to win many games in 2025 and are going to be among the more irrelevant teams in the NFL, as they won't be the absolute worst, but they won't be good enough to make the playoffs, either.

Dallas is 23rd in our latest power rankings.

22. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears overhauled their interior offensive line in free agency and have really opened up their options in the 2025 NFL Draft. In free agency, they traded for Jonah Jackson, Joe Thuney, and signed Drew Dalman.

Seeing all those moves probably made Caleb Williams a very happy man. The Bears could end up taking one of the top RB prospects with the 10th overall pick, believe it or not. Omarion Hampton or Ashton Jeanty could be their targets.

The team also hired Ben Johnson as their new head coach for 2025, which was a great move, as Johnson was a huge asset for the Detroit Lions. Overall, the Bears are actually quite close to being a frisky, legitimate team in 2025.

While the playoffs might be a year away, them hanging around in the Wild Card chase is firmly on the table. Caleb Williams does have to make a year two jump and needs to work on not taking as many sacks as he did in 2024, but he only threw six interceptions, which is quite impressive.

21. San Francisco 49ers

A team clearly embracing a bit of a rebuild, the San Francisco 49ers have said goodbye to a lot of their former foundational players. Guys like Deebo Samuel, Aaron Banks, Dre Greenlaw, and Talanoa Hufanga are on new teams.

It is time for the Niners to try to usher in a new era of football, as many of their top players are getting old and are hurt a lot. It’ll be interesting to see what positions this front office puts an emphasis on during the 2025 NFL Draft - they should obviously build from the trenches, but only time will tell if they do that.

They come in quite low in our NFL power rankings 21st. The other big thing to note with this team heading into 2025 is what kind of contract extension QB Brock Purdy will get.

20. Indianapolis Colts

Yet another team in the NFL with QB questions, the Indianapolis Colts are 20th in our latest NFL power rankings and are likely starting one of Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones in 2025. It’s a brutal situation for the Colts, as they overdrafted Richardson with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

He’s been perhaps the worst QB in the NFL since entering the league, and while he has a ton of tools, he simply isn’t a functional NFL passer. Heck, he’s hardly a backup-level passer. The other issue here is that Daniel Jones isn’t much better, so I am not sure this Colts team is going to win a whole lot in the 2025 NFL Season.

They were somehow able to stick around in the playoff chase for much of the season, but unless Richardson blossoms, that isn’t going to happen.

19. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be holding out hope that Aaron Rodgers ends up signing with them for the 2025 NFL Season, but Rodgers turns 42 years old this year and is nothing more than a one-year solution. For years now, the Steelers have mishandled the QB situation. Last year’s attempt was Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, but to the surprise of no one, that did not work out.

Somehow, though, both Wilson and Fields seem to be starters on their respective teams for the 2025 season. The main issue here with the Steelers that stems out from the QB position is that they haven’t truly been ‘bad’ enough to have a high first-round draft pick - one high enough to take a QB prospect. Now sure, they could have always tried to make a huge trade up the NFL Draft board in a given draft, but this year likely won’t bring that type of move.

It seems to be another season with a stopgap solution at QB, but perhaps the Steelers end up looking at someone like Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe at some point in the 2025 NFL Draft.

18. Atlanta Falcons

Coming in at 18th ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons could end up shooting up this list a bit as the 2025 NFL Season rolls on. They signed Kirk Cousins in free agency last year and also took Michael Penix Jr with the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, so they kind of overcompensated at the QB position a bit.

You have to wonder why they gave Cousins so much money in free agency and then used their first-round pick on a passer. Anyway, it’s Penix’s team now, and he’s likely going to get every single chance to prove that he can be the guy, and in my opinion, Kirk Cousins will end up on the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL Season.

The Falcons could win the NFC South in the 2025 NFL Season if Michael Penix Jr ends up being ‘the guy’ for the team, but there is also a path for them finishing dead last as well.

17. Seattle Seahawks

What are the Seattle Seahawks doing? Does anyone know? While I largely agree with their move to replace Geno Smith with a younger and better Sam Darnold, some of their other roster moves have been flat-out confusing. I guess this could be more of an evaluation year for the franchise where they try to get more of a long-term grip on things?

Heck, I have no idea. Either way, Seattle won 10 games in 2024 and was the only double-digit win team in the NFL last year to not make the postseason, and that is kind of what you get with Geno Smith as your QB. Well, he’s the Raiders problem now.

Seattle isn’t going to win the NFC West or anything in 2025 - they could probably flirt with seven or eight wins if all goes well, but I just do not see what this team is trying to build toward, so it’s hard to see what GM John Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald are laying out here.

They are 17th in our latest power rankings.

16. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals doubled their win total from 2023 into 2024 and won eight games this past season. In fact, at one point last year, they were 6-4 and were in first place in the NFC West. With some added talent along the defensive line in free agency including Josh Sweat, Dalvin Tomlinson, and Calais Campbell, that right there could be worth another win.

And you have to figure that if they have a strong 2025 NFL Draft class, that might be worth another win. All of a sudden, this team won 10 games in 2025 and clinched a Wild Card spot. Trust me when I say that unless something goes terribly wrong in 2025, the Cardinals are going to be a fun, competitive, and all-around good football team.

They still have to prove that though, as they come in right in the middle, at 16th in our recent NFL power rankings approaching the 2025 NFL Draft.

15. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals managed to win five games in a row to close out the 2024 NFL Season, yet they did not make the playoffs. Finishing 9-8 for the second year in a row, the Bengals fielded one of the worst defenses in the NFL, and it was so bad that the unit itself kind of wasted away an MVP-caliber season from Joe Burrow, who was simply unstoppable last year.

That’s really what the Bengals are missing - sure, they could use some offensive line help, but that’s every year, but if they could simply field an even average defense, they would return to being among the best teams in the league.

One thing to note here is that while they did figure out how to pay Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, stud pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is without a deal, so I would keep an eye on how that progresses as we approach the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Bengals, with an elite offense and horrific defense, are 15th in our latest power rankings.

14. Miami Dolphins

On paper, the Miami Dolphins are actually a solid team, but they simply cannot play well in the cold, and starting QB Tua Tagovailoa simply can't stay on the field consistently. Miami has the potential to be a 10-win team mostly every season, but Tagovailoa has to prove to this front office that he can play multiple full seasons in a row, or at least seasons where he isn't missing a month of action.

I would expect the Miami Dolphins to shore up their offensive and defensive lines in the 2025 NFL Draft, as that can help protect their QB and can also give them an edge when the weather gets cold, as establishing the run gets that much more important.

Miami did hang around in the AFC playoff picture during the 2024 NFL Season despite their QB missing some time, so that kind of tells you and us that they are indeed a good team, but they are closer to average in our latest NFL power rankings than being a contender.

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another good-not-great team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 10 games in the 2024 NFL Season and won the NFC South. They lost in the Wild Card Round to the Washington Commanders, so Tampa again saw their season fall short.

But in both years of the Baker Mayfield era, they have won the division and are surely going to be heavy favorites to win it yet again in the 2025 season. As we approach the 2025 NFL Draft, I would expect Tampa to bolster their secondary, pass rush, and linebacking unit - pretty much the entire defense.

I could also see them adding a big-bodied wide receiver, as Mike Evans is truly beginning to get up there in age and isn't going to keep having 1,000-yard seasons. Tampa is 13th in our latest power rankings.

12. Minnesota Vikings

You might be shocked that the Minnesota Vikings are this low given the free agency period they had, but they now have a question mark at the most important position in all of sports - quarterback. Now yes, JJ McCarthy is coming into one of the best overall situations for a de-facto rookie QB or rookie QB in the history of the NFL.

This team has elite weaponry and fixed their offensive line in the offseason. The defense is also among the 10 best in the NFL as well, so if McCarthy does not succeed, he simply may not cut it in the NFL. He sustained a season-ending knee injury last offseason, and that paved the way for Sam Darnold to kind of light the league on fire, but the Vikings let him walk out the door in free agency, as he signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Vikes can definitely win 10 or so games in the 2025 NFL Season and compete for a Wild Card spot, but I do believe they are going to have to deal with the growing pains from McCarthy here and there.

11. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans needed to fix their offensive line this offseason, and I truly believe it got worse. GM Nick Caserio has to shore this unit up in free agency, or the Texans and CJ Stroud are going to again not make a leap from the season prior.

For the second year in a row, they went 10-7, won the division, and won one playoff game. That's who they are right now. However, if the offensive line and offense as a whole settle down a bit in the 2025 NFL Season, they could ascend to contender status and make the already-deep AFC that much deeper. Houston is 11th in our power rankings.

10. Los Angeles Chargers

Winning 11 games in the 2024 NFL Season, the Los Angeles Chargers are clearly on the right track, and that is primarily thanks to Jim Harbaugh, who finally made the jump back into the NFL with the Bolts. The Chargers were playing with house money in 2024, as their 11 wins were surely due to some top-tier coaching.

They got blown out in the first round of the NFL playoffs against the Houston Texans, but they have not exactly had the best offseason following that loss. Right now, the Chargers are still a little bit away from emerging as a contender, but they are close and are 10th in our power rankings,

Can GM Joe Hortiz make the right draft picks to get this roster up one notch and into contention?

9. Los Angeles Rams

The second LA team in this slide, the Los Angeles Rams are ninth here in our latest power rankings approaching the 2025 NFL Draft. In 2024, the Rams won the NFC West division, but did so with just 10 wins. However, they started the year out 1-4 primarily due to some intense injuries. Finishing the year 9-3 was quite impressive, and that is kind of how 'good' this team is.

Had the Rams sustained their 9-3 pace for the entire 2024 NFL Season, they would have won 13 games. If the roster is able to stay together and stay on the field, this team can most definitely flirt with 12 or 13 wins in the 2025 season. Matthew Stafford and the Rams had a bit of a drama session earlier in the offseason, but that got settled, as Stafford is back in LA for another year.

The Rams are a Super Bowl contender and are among the 10 best teams in the NFL approaching the NFL Draft.

8. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos being ranked eighth might shock some people, but this team won 10 games in 2024, and six of their seven losses last year were by just one score. The team made some stellar additions in free agency this year, and it seems like the FA moves by the Broncos have almost be universally praised.

They signed Dre Greenlaw, Talanoa Hufanga, and Evan Engram. All three players do come with some form of an injury concern, but this Broncos training/medical staff has been among the best in the NFL at keeping players on the field over the last couple of seasons.

If you combine these additions with a year two jump from Bo Nix and perhaps another weapon or two on offense from the 2025 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos could absolutely compete for the AFC West title in the 2025 NFL Season.

They might only win one or two more games in 2025, but shoot, these are the Broncos of old, anymore.

7. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers were able to win 11 games in 2024 despite playing in a wickedly-tough NFC North division. With the Detroit Lions losing both of their coordinators and the Minnesota Vikings turning to de-facto rookie QB JJ McCarthy, the Packers might be able too capture the division title in 2025.

Jordan Love and the offense have to take that next step into greatness, and more broadly, this team needs another elite player or two as well. But this team is definitely on the right track and have a lot going for them at the moment.

The Packers could be a sleeper-Super Bowl pick if you ask me. I would not rule that out one bit. They are seventh in our latest power rankings approaching the 2025 NFL Draft.

6. Kansas City Chiefs

For the third year in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs represented the AFC in the Super Bowl, and they were trying to become the first team in NFL history to win three Super bowls in a row. They got blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles and actually have a worst roster now than when Super Bowl LIX began.

One theory I have is that all these years of having picks at the bottom of each round is catching up to them, and another theory I have is that GM Brett Veach is over-reliant on Patrick Mahomes sometimes to truly see the flaws on the roster, as this offense has significant holes, and the secondary on defense is quite weak if you ask me.

The Chiefs are still going to be among the best teams in the NFL when the 2025 NFL Season rolls around, but we saw them in countless one-score games in 2024, and their slim margins simply ran out when they got to the Super Bowl. KC is sixth in our latest NFL power rankings.

5. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens again won just one postseason game. They have not won multiple games in the postseason since winning the Super Bowl back in 2012. At some point, there has to be some major changes made if they continually fail in the playoffs.

Lamar Jackson truly should have won the NFL MVP in 2024, but I am not sure he cares all that much, as he's got bigger things on his mind. The Ravens are well-run, well-coached, and always a competitive team, but that can only go so far without a Super Bowl appearance to show for it.

Baltimore comes in at fifth in our latest power rankings. What is this team missing from being able to make a Super Bowl run in 2025?

4. Washington Commanders

How about the Washington Commanders, man? This team won 14 total games in the 2024 NFL Season and were led by the single greatest rookie QB we have ever seen in Jayden Daniels, who may already be the best quarterback in the NFC.

Daniels and the Commanders added Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel via trade this offseason, so it's clear that GM Adam Peters is simply not messing around this offseason, and why should be? This team now has a wide-open window and a head coach in Dan Quinn who has gotten a team to the Super Bowl before.

If you told me Washington was the best team in the NFC in about seven months from now, I'd believe you. At this point, it's about filling out the rest of the roster and seeing if Jayden Daniels can make that coveted year two leap that many of the best QBs in the NFL have made. Washington is fourth in our latest NFL power rankings.

3. Buffalo Bills

For most of the 2024 NFL Season, the Buffalo Bills were the best team in the AFC. They did not secure the no. 1 seed, as that went to the Kansas City Chiefs, but they beat the Chiefs in the regular season, and many also thought that 2024 was the year that Buffalo finally got over the hump.

Losing yet again to KC in the playoffs leaves Buffalo with that burning question - what the heck is it going to take to get past the Chiefs in the playoffs? It felt like 2024 was going to be a banner year for Buffalo, as Josh Allen won his first NFL MVP award. Buffalo is the best team in the AFC in our latest power rankings and should again be the top team in the conference when the 2025 NFL Season begins,

2. Detroit Lions

I like the Detroit Lions as the second-best team in the NFL right now. When healthy, this roster is perhaps the most talented in the league, but that was their primary issue in 2024 - this team had so many defensive injuries, and it ended up derailing their season, as they went one-and-done in the playoffs, even with the first-round bye.

Heading into the 2025 NFL Season, the Lions main goal might simply be to keep their players on the field, as everything else should then fall into place, but it is worth noting that both Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson got hired for head coaching jobs with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears, and both were top-3 coordinators at their respective positions during the 2024 NFL Season.

But the sheer roster talent this team has ranks them second in our latest power rankings ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Detroit will probably target a wide receiver and a defensive lineman with their first couple of picks.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

The best team in the NFL right now is the Philadelphia Eagles, as they are the defending Super Bowl champions, throttling the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Philly won their second Super Bowl since the 2017 NFL Season, but have already had some significant turnover this offseason.

Players like Darius Slay, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Mekhi Becton are all on new teams now, so Howie Roseman is going to have to truly restock this roster in the NFL Draft, especially on defense.

However, this Eagles team is always among the most talented in the NFL year in and year out, so there is no doubt that the front office will be able to get this done. Philly looks to further cement themselves in history in 2025 as repeat champions. They are first in our latest power rankings.
