We've taken a creative spin on our NFL power rankings and will be ranking every team based on their best player for the 2025 season.
Every team in the NFL does have a very good player or two, but with the amount of players on an entire roster, it is nearly impossible to field a complete squad of players, and as we have seen, it is even hard to keep them together, as the salary cap truly prevents a team from paying everyone.
As we now get into June with the second wave of OTAs and minicamp beginning, we have rolled out a fun version of our NFL power rankings - we have ranked all 32 teams but have ranked them based on their best player.
Let's get into it here.
NFL Power Rankings: Ranking every team by their best player
32. New Orleans Saints - Erik McCoy, C
A two-time Pro Bowl center, Erik McCoy is one of the lone bright spots on the New Orleans Saints offense.
31. Tennessee Titans - Jeffery Simmons, DT
The ideal scenario would be Cam Ward turning into the Tennessee Titans best player, but that is not the case at the moment. Jeffery Simmons honestly feels a bit underrated.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars - Travis Hunter, CB/WR
It was hard to pick a spot for Travis Hunter, but we've settled him at 30th in our power rankings since he has not taken a snap in the league yet.
29. Carolina Panthers - Derrick Brown, DT
Returning from injury in 2025, the entire NFL will again be reminded of just how good Derrick Brown is. He'll rise up these rankings as the season goes on.
28. Arizona Cardinals - Budda Baker, SAF
One of this generation's best safeties, Budda Baker comes in at 28th in our power rankings.
27. Seattle Seahawks - Leonard Williams, DT
Still in the NFL after a decade, Leonard Williams has been a consistent force along the defensive line for quite some time.
26. New England Patriots - Christian Gonzalez
Christian Gonzalez may be a top-5 corner in this league, but it feels like we just do not talk about him enough.
25. Green Bay Packers - Elgton Jenkins, OG
Elgton Jenkins is a steady and elite presence on the Green Bay Packers offensive line. He's 25th in our power rankings.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers - TJ Watt, EDGE
TJ Watt is out of his prime but is still among the better pass rushers in the NFL. He comes in at 24th, and he also seems to want another contract extension from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
23. Los Angeles Chargers - Justin Herbert, QB
A good-not-great QB, Justin Herbert seems to have hit a ceiling in the NFL. He's been a B+ QB his entire career and has gotten embarrassed in both of his playoff appearances.
22. New York Jets - Sauce Gardner, CB
Sauce Gardner is one of the NFL's top cornerbacks and is actually on quite the loaded New York Jets roster heading into the 2025 NFL Season.
21. Miami Dolphins - Tyreek Hill, WR
It's likely that Tyreek Hill is able to get back on track with another 1,000-yard season in 2025 if Tua Tagovailoa is able to stay on the field for a majority of the campaign.
20. New York Giants - Malik Nabers, WR
Malik Nabers would explode with stable QB play. He broke the 1,000-yard mark as a rookie in 2024 with what could have been the worst QB room in the NFL. He is someone to keep an eye on for 2025.
19. Houston Texans - Danielle Hunter, DE
Danielle Hunter has been very good for a very long time in this league. He began his career with the Vikings but signed with the Texans last offseason.
18. San Francisco 49ers - Trent Williams, LT
A future first-ballot Hall of Famer, Trent Williams still might have a couple of solid years up his sleeve.
17. Chicago Bears - Joe Thuney, OG
Joe Thuney was traded to the Chicago Bears this past offseason and instantly becomes their top player. He is a borderline Hall of Famer once he decides to hang it up.
16. Los Angeles Rams - Matthew Stafford, QB
The magic of Matthew Stafford is still going strong - he comes in 16th in our power rankings and is still among the best QBs in the NFL.
15. Atlanta Falcons - Bijan Robinson, RB
Having Bijan Robinson in the backfield is going to go wonders for the development of Michael Penix Jr in the 2025 NFL season for the Falcons.
14. Indianapolis Colts - Quenton Nelson, OG
Quenton Nelson is one of the best guards in the NFL and may end up in the Hall of Fame one day. He may go down as the best draft pick that GM Chris Ballard will have ever made.
13. Dallas Cowboys - CeeDee Lamb, WR
CeeDee Lamb gets a new running mate in 2025, now playing alongside George Pickens. Lamb is elite and is 13th in our power rankings.
12. Kansas City Chiefs - Patrick Mahomes, QB
Patrick Mahomes has had a couple of down years statistically, but no one would dispute his overall greatness.
11. Las Vegas Raiders - Brock Bowers, TE
Brock Bowers is an elite receiving tight end and is already one of the best at his position in the NFL.
10. Denver Broncos - Patrick Surtain II, CB
Patrick Surtain II is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and is 10th in our power rankings. He helped the Denver Broncos field the third-ranked scoring defense in the NFL in 2024.
9. Washington Commanders - Jayden Daniels, QB
Jayden Daniels might just be an elite QB. He's ninth in our power rankings and could get some MVP love in 2025.
8. Philadelphia Eagles - Saquon Barkley, RB
Hitting the 2,000-yard mark in 2024, there will be a ton of pressure on Saquon Barkley to follow that up with another great season in 2025.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tristan Wirfs, LT
Tristan Wirfs has played both tackle positions in the NFL and is elite on either side. He's inside the top-10 in our NFL power rankings.
6. Cleveland Browns - Myles Garrett, DE
Myles Garrett has a Defensive Player of the Year award and over 100 sacks, so he's got a ticket to Canton when he decides to retire.
5. Buffalo Bills - Josh Allen, QB
The reigning MVP, Josh Allen comes in fifth in our power rankings.
4. Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB
Joe Burrow had a 40-touchdown pass season that ended up being wasted away due to the Cincinnati Bengals awful defense.
3. Detroit Lions - Penei Sewell, RT
Penei Sewell is just a flat-out elite player, and while he does not play a sexy position, it's important that we understand just how solid he is and how valuable his presence is along the Detroit Lions offensive line.
2. Minnesota Vikings - Justin Jefferson, WR
It's hard to argue that Justin Jefferson isn't the best non-QB in the NFL on offense. He's on a Hall of Fame pace and now gets to catch passes from JJ McCarthy in 2025 and beyond.
1. Baltimore Ravens - Lamar Jackson, QB
By far the best player in the NFL, Lamar Jackson truly should have won the MVP in the 2024 NFL Season. He is the best dual-threat QB in the history of the NFL and still has a couple more years to go before he hits 30.
