There are a ton of great general managers in the NFL. Let's rank the very best for the 2025 NFL Season.

Being a GM in the NFL has to be the hardest GM job in all of sports, right? With the amount of players on an NFL roster, there are so many different chances for a GM to whiff big-time, and in the NFL, the biggest whiffs are usually at the QB position.

But there are some GMs in the league who have seemed to master their craft and are head-and-shoulders above their counterparts. We tried our best to power rank the 10 best general managers in the NFL for the 2025 season.

Let's get into it!

NFL Power Rankings: Who are the best GMs in the NFL?

10. George Paton, Denver Broncos

Just a couple of years ago, George Paton was absolutely one of the worst GMs in the NFL, as he honestly made a pair of fireable offenses when he traded for Russell Wilson and hired Nathaniel Hackett.

But over the past few seasons, thanks to getting the head coach right, we have seen many of Paton's investments pay off, as many of the draft picks have become to develop, and they hit the nail on the head with their Bo Nix selection. Paton is 10th in our GM power rankings.

9. Nick Caserio, Houston Texans

Nick Caserio deserves a ton of credit for the work he's done with the Houston Texans. Hitting on CJ Stroud has turned this franchise around for the better. Caserio is just inside the top-10 in our GM power rankings.

8. Brett Veach, Kansas City Chiefs

Brett Veach absolutely gets a bit too much credit - the Chiefs roster just isn't all that great, as it's gotten too Mahomes-reliant at times. I think Veach is a very good GM, but he's far from being one of the best in my eyes.

There are serious questions along the offensive line and at other key positions like tight end and even in the secondary.

7. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, Minnesota Vikings

Much of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's tenure is going to hinge on if this team got the JJ McCarthy selection right. KAM and the Minnesota Vikings got a lot done this offseason - they bolstered the trenches on both sides of the ball and have really done a marvelous job with this roster.

The team has now handed the keys over to McCarthy, and the second-year passer has one of the more ideal situations for a young QB we have ever seen. This roster is in a great position and may not miss a step if the young QB ends up being the right pick.

6. Adam Peters, Washington Commanders

It's safe to say that Adam Peters has done quite the job with the Washington Commanders since taking over last offseason. The biggest reason for ascending like they have has been hitting on Jayden Daniels in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Washington won 14 total games in the 2024 NFL Season and could emerge as a legitimate contender in the 2025 season. Peters swung two major trades this offseason for Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel, so this team is clearly buying into themselves for 2025.

Peters comes in at no. 6 in our GM power rankings for the new year.

5. Brandon Beane, Buffalo Bills

Brandon Beane has built a juggernaut in Buffalo, but all of these early playoff exits have to be quite annoying. Beane and the Bills front office added a good bit to the defensive line, and roster-wise, this could be the best we've seen in quite some time, so there aren't any excuses for this franchise in 2025.

4. Eric DeCosta, Baltimore Ravens

Eric DeCosta has been a great GM for the Baltimore Ravens, and his latest signing, Jaire Alexander, only confirms the idea that EDC is one of the best and is again wanting to see this team get over the hump. They do have some playoff woes to figure out, but you can't really blame the GM for that. DeCosta is fourth in our power rankings for 2025.

3. Les Snead, Los Angeles Rams

Hats off to Les Snead, man. Snead has been a marvelous GM for the better part of the decade - he and the LA Rams won the Super Bowl in the 2021 NFL Season, and that version of LA we saw was more like a super-team, but just a few years later, Snead and the Rams front office have hit on countless draft picks and now have one of the best and youngest rosters in the NFL.

This could be a better roster than what the Rams had in the 2021 NFL Season. Matthew Stafford is still playing at a high level, and the team did make a splash in free agency by signing Davante Adams. Snead is third in our GM power rankings for the 2025 NFL Season.

2. Brad Holmes, Detroit Lions

I truly believe that the Detroit Lions have the best roster in the NFL - Brad Holmes actually came from the Rams franchise over to Detroit, so he and Snead may be cut from a similar cloth. Where do we even begin here with the amount of draft picks Holmes has gotten right?

It's actually insane, and if not for the countless injuries this team suffered in the 2024 NFL Season, the Lions could have absolutely made a deep playoff run, and perhaps made the Super Bowl. In my eyes, this is the team to beat in the NFC for 2025, which may not make a ton of sense, but I am not sure this roster has a single notable weakness.

1. Howie Roseman, Philadelphia Eagles

The master and a class above everyone else, Howie Roseman is first in our GM power rankings for the 2025 NFL Season. Roseman won his second Super Bowl with the Eagles in the 2024 NFL Season, as he has simply found a way to not only hit on a ton of draft picks, but also pay a ton of players as well.

The trademark Howie Roseman roster is always tough in the trenches, and this is how NFL teams are built for success - Roseman clearly has the blueprint, but he did see players like Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, and Mekhi Becton depart in free agency.

Can the Eagles become one of the few NFL franchises to win two Super Bowls in a row? They might be viewed as the favorite in the NFC for the 2025 NFL Season. One thing is for sure, Howie Roseman is the best GM in the NFL and is first in our power rankings.
