With how things look right now, the popular opinion among the NFL world might be that the winner of the NFC title game ends up winning the Super Bowl. With the New England Patriots playing with a bit of house money, and the Denver Broncos not having Bo Nix, things aren't looking too good for those teams.
However, this is the NFL, and anything can happen. Now that the conference title games are coming up, we'll finally get to see which two teams play in Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara. Both games should be very competitive and back-and-forth, as that's been the common theme here in the playoffs.
Approaching the conference title games, let's dive into the most likely Super Bowl LX MVPs and power rank them from least to most likely. Who is at the top?
Power ranking the most likely Super Bowl LX MVPs approaching the title games
6. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks
With Zach Charbonnet now out with a torn ACL, the run game for the Seattle Seahawks is going to feature Kenneth Walker even more. With Sam Darnold not necessarily being a clear-cut elite QB you can rely on this deep into the playoffs, we could see offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak really give Walker a bigger load.
Walker had 116 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the Divisional Round and another 29 receiving yards. He can eat up a ton of yards if the Seahawks were to make it to the Super Bowl. In three of the Seahawks previous four games, including the regular season, Walker has eclipsed 125 scrimmage yards.
Kenneth Walker is a name to watch for the Super Bowl LX MVP award if Seattle were to make it that far here in 2025. Don't rule him out, especially with Charbonnet not in the lineup anymore.
5. Drake Maye, QB, New England Patriots
Drake Maye is going to get a ton of MVP votes this year, and, if not for Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye would likely win the award. Maye has been fantastic this year. In the two playoff games he's been able to help win thus far, there has been some shaky play. Maye has been sacked 10 times. fumbled six times, and has thrown two interceptions.
At the end of the day, though, the New England Patriots keep winning, and they continue to silence the doubters who say that they have not beaten anyone this year. With the Pats also not necessarily exploding with talent on the offensive side of the ball, this could bode well for Maye's chances at winning the award.
With the MVP award also generally being a QB award, Maye might come into a hypothetical Super Bowl LX game with an advantage in this regard. He's quickly turned into one of the most prolific passers in the NFL and can throw the ball down the field better than most in the NFL.
4. Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold is going to have to play the best football of his life here if the Seattle Seahawks hope to win the Super Bowl. Like Drake Maye, Darnold can throw the ball down the field well, and when the veteran QB gets hot, he really becomes one of the best in the league. To his credit, Darnold did play well in the team's victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.
But a huge reason why the Minnesota Vikings likely let Darnold leave last year was his below-average performances in the two big games near the end of the season. Make no mistake, though, Sam Darnold can play well. He threw 60 touchdown passes over the past two regular seasons and added over 8,00 yards during that time.
He has the talent to be a high-volume passer in this league, and if that needs to happen in the Super Bowl, Darnold could get it done.
3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been a top-3 wide receiver in the NFL right now. In 17 games in the regular season, he hauled in 119 passes for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns. JSN led the league in yards and has caught 73% of his targets over the past two seasons. Simply put, this is one of the very best players in the NFL.
In the regular season, Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 1,200 more yards than the next-closest player on the team. The passing game runs through JSN, and if the Seahawks plan to win the Super Bowl, the gameplan is going to start and end with JSN. He could win the Super Bowl MVP this year.
2. Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Like JSN, the passing attack in Los Angeles goes through Puka Nacua, one of the more physically dominant players at his position in the league. Nacua led the league in receptions in 2025 and averaged 107.2 yards per game this year, which also led the league.
Matthew Stafford, his QB, tends to favor his WR1 big-time, as two of the best WR seasons in the history of the NFL came from Calvin Johnson and Cooper Kupp, who both had Matthew Stafford as his QB. Kupp also won the Super Bowl MVP award back in 2021.
Nacua is a mismatch for every defensive back in the NFL. With a strong performance in Super Bowl LX, Nacua could be a very logical choice to win the MVP.
1. Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford has been the best quarterback in the NFL this year and is going to win the MVP award. He and the Los Angeles Rams won it all back in 2021 and appear to be in a position to do it again. The Rams really haven't played exceptional football in recent weeks, but they're winning and are the most battle-tested team left in the playoffs.
Stafford himself has been electric in the playoffs during his career. Here are his career playoff stats with the LA Rams:
7-2
2,650 yards
18 touchdowns
4 interceptions
101.9 passer rating
He's simply surgical in the postseason. If the Rams end up winning the Super Bowl, it's likely going to be because they put up a ton of points, overwhelmed the opposing defense, and saw a huge game from Stafford.
There isn't anyone left in the playoffs more likely to win the Super Bowl LX MVP than Matthew Stafford, so he's no. 1 in our power rankings.
