Two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL kick us off in Week 14 in Jared Goff and Jordan Love. Let's rank the top-10 passers ahead of the new week. The regular season is rapidly coming to an end, which is unfortunate. Heck, this season just needs to slow down if you ask me. Playoffs are on the horizon, and as we head toward Week 18, these games are going to begin having some hefty stakes.

We've ranked the quarterbacks in the NFL almost weekly, and as we kickoff Week 14 with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, we've again ranked the top-10 passers in the NFL ahead of the newest slate of games.

Most of the players who are in the top-10 for Week 14 have remained in the top-10 for a majority of the season. Let's dive into our latest QB power rankings ahead of Week 14.

NFL Power Rankings: Ranking the top 10 quarterbacks ahead of Week 14

10. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love has not thrown an interception in two games now, so perhaps he's turning a corner in that regard. He threw 11 picks all of 2023 and has already thrown 11 picks thus far in 2024, but the Green Bay Packers are riding high at 9-3 and are still in contention for the NFC North title this year.

They would essentially have to beat the Detroit Lions here on Thursday Night Football, and with how banged up the Lions are, it's certainly possible. Green Bay saw a mid-season surge from Love in 2023, and this team has not looked back since then. Love has again been one of the better QBs in football in 2024.

9. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Over the last six games, Patrick Mahomes has thrown 13 touchdown passes against just three interceptions. Perhaps adding DeAndre Hopkins at the NFL trade deadline is a reason for this recent surge. Statistically, Mahomes' numbers still do not jump off the page, but he and the Kansas City Chiefs are enjoying another great season and are currently the no. 1 seed in the AFC.

They would need to finish with a better record than the Buffalo Bills if KC wanted to keep that top seed, and with Mahomes seemingly getting better as the season goes on, the Chiefs could keep this top seed.

8. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins did not have their quarterback for a chunk of time earlier in the season due to his concussion, but Tua Tagovailoa has come back into the lineup and has played very well. He's always been a top-end efficiency QB, but the wins late in the season and in the postseason have never really consistently come.

Tua Tagovailoa feels a lot closer to guys like Kirk Cousins and Derek Carr than anything else, but if we're being fair here, he is still playing some incredibly efficient football since returning to the lineup. The Dolphins would have a ton of work to do to get into the postseason, but perhaps their QB could help them get there.

7. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings

It's early-December and Sam Darnold is still playing some great football. I do wonder if the Minnesota Vikings would consider giving him some sort of contract extension if he kept this up and the team won a playoff game or two. The Vikings also have Daniel Jones and rookie QB JJ McCarthy, so this team has quickly become a QB factory.

Let's give credit where it's due; Darnold has played very well this year and is operating the offense the way it's supposed to be. It's been the best season of his career, and whether the payday comes from the Vikings or from another team, he'll get one.

6. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford still balling out at 36 years old makes my heart happy. He's been one of the most electric QBs in the NFL for quite some time now, and he and the LA Rams have gone 5-2 since their shaky 1-4 start.

The one underdog team that could make some noise in the NFC playoffs is indeed the LA Rams, and this is a similar team that went 10-7 in 2023 and gave the Detroit Lions fits in the Wild Card Round. I really would not count out Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford from going on a bit of a tear here down the stretch. Stafford has thrown eight touchdowns against zero interceptions over his last three games.

5. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Jared Goff had a five-interception game a few weeks ago against the Houston Texans, and the Detroit Lions somehow still won the game. That game probably put the nail in the coffin of his MVP campaign, but he's still thrown 22 touchdown passes and is completing 71.8% of his passes this year. He and the Detroit Lions have grown each year this marriage has been going on, and the 2024 season could be when they break through and make the Super Bowl.

Their injury list is insanely long, so that could be the one thing that holds them back, but Goff is dealing and is one of the best pure pocket passers the NFL has had in quite some time. He's only been sacked 22 times in 12 games this year and sports a 109 passer rating.

4. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield has completed 70.8% of his passes this year for 25 touchdown passes and a stellar 101.3 passer rating. Mayfield seems to have finally hit his stride in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They're now 6-6 on the year and still firmly in the mix in the NFC South.

And frankly, the Buccaneers are probably going to be a tougher team to beat in the playoffs than the Atlanta Falcons, who lead the division. In total, Mayfield has thrown 53 touchdowns for the Buccaneers in just 29 games played. The Buccaneers also have a 15-14 record since the start of 2023 since Baker Mayfield signed with them.

A few additions on defense in 2025 and this team could truly be dangerous.

3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Maybe the MVP of the NFL this year, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are having an insane season in 2024. Allen's interception issue from 2023 has vanished, and he's thrown 20 touchdowns against just five picks in 2024. It's been the most productive year of his career in my opinion, and the Bills do feel like the best team in the AFC.

With them having beaten the Kansas City Chiefs, all the Bills would need is for them and the Chiefs to finish with the same record, and it's Buffalo who gets the top seed and the home-field advantage during the postseason.

I have been critical of Josh Allen at times, but as of now, the MVP award probably goes to him, and this does feel like the year that the Bills could make a Super Bowl run.

2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Having the best year of his career, Lamar Jackson is taking care of the football at an insane rate this year. He's got just three games this year with a passer rating below 100, and he's thrown a touchdown pass in every single game this season. Jackson has 27 TDs on the year and a 116.3 passer rating, which leads the NFL.

Jackson also has 678 rushing yards against three rushing touchdowns. All in all, you would be hard-pressed to find a more deserving player of the MVP award, but there could be one person. Much like the top QB on this list, Jackson is dealing with a pretty iffy Ravens defense.

Baltimore is just 8-5 on the year, but with the way Lamar Jackson has played, you'd think that they'd have 10 wins at this point.

1. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Guys, let's not overthink this. Joe Burrow is having an insane season; he's having the best season of his career by far, but won't make the playoffs. It's not Burrow and the offense to blame. Their defense cannot stop a nosebleed, and it's why the Bengals are 4-8 and have a virtually 0% chance of making the playoffs this year.

That does not mean Joe Burrow isn't playing well. He's got 30 touchdowns against just five interceptions on the year. He leads the NFL in passing yards, attempts and completions, passing touchdowns, and yards per game. Cincy has the 5th-ranked scoring offense in the NFL and the 31st-ranked scoring defense in the NFL.

Burrow is dealing, but isn't going to get the recognition because of how bad the defense has been.
