The 2025 NFL Schedule Release is right around the corner, so let's unveil our latest power rankings with this in mind. We'll finally know which teams plan when for the 2025 NFL Season, as the release of the entire schedule is right around the corner. We do have some legimate schedule leaks, though.

We know that the Dallas Cowboys are traveling to Philadelphia to play the Eagles as the first regular season game of the 2025 NFL Season. More leaks will come in between now and when the schedule release is done.

Let's unveil our latest power rankings with a couple of teams in a freefall ahead of the schedule release.

NFL Power Rankings: Latest rankings ahead of 2025 schedule release

32. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have as bad of a QB room as the NFL has ever seen and just don't have a lot on paper to indicate to the rest of the league that they'll be better than the worst team in the league. The Browns are surely looking toward the 2026 NFL Draft.

31. New Orleans Saints

The retirement of Derek Carr has thrown the New Orleans Saints into a freefall in our latest NFL power rankings. They are 31st and may end up starting rookie QB Tyler Shough in the 2025 NFL Season.

30. Tennessee Titans

Taking Cam Ward with the first overall pick may have been what the Tennessee Titans needed to get their franchise on a decent track, but they still have everything to prove and are low in our latest power rankings.

29. New York Giants

Adding Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and Jaxson Dart to the QB room in the 2025 NFL Offseason, the New York Giants overhauled their QB room but still have lingering questions at the most important position in all of sports.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers

Mason Rudolph and Will Howard headline one of the league's worst QB rooms. There is no reason for us to rank the Pittsburgh Steelers any higher - they are, right now, a directionless disaster.

27. Indianapolis Colts

Another team in a freefall ahead of the NFL schedule release, the Indianapolis Colts 2025 season may hinge on Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson, which is never a place that any NFL team wants to be in. It could be a long year for Indy.

26. New York Jets

The New York Jets have a bad QB situation at the moment - let's not overthink this team - they aren't winning may games with Justin Fields under center. No NFL team would, to be honest.

25. Seattle Seahawks

Another team that doesn't seem to have a clear-cut direction, the Seattle Seahawks roster got worse this offseason, as they fall to 25th in our latest NFL power rankings.

24. Carolina Panthers

The surge from Bryce Young near the end of the 2024 NFL Season is absolutely something to keep in mind as we progress into 2025. The Carolina Panthers could be a team to keep an eye out for as the offseason progresses. They could be better than we think.

23. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers may not have a lot going for them heading into the 2025 NFL Season. Sure, they could get someone like Christian McCaffrey back in the mix, but the team did move on from a ton of former key players this past offseason. Next season could be a reset year for the Niners.

22. Las Vegas Raiders

I am not sure the Las Vegas Raiders made enough moves to make a dent in the loaded AFC, as they are still the worst team in their own division and also have the worst QB in the division as well. They are 22nd in our latest NFL power rankings.

21. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys made a splash recently by trading for George Pickens, but was Pickens someone they were truly missing? The 2025 NFL Season doesn't really give us a lot of confidence in the Cowboys made on some of their offseason moves.

20. Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are 20th in our latest NFL power rankings but have a ton of room to move up in a big way if Michael Penix Jr ends up panning out and making a year two leap.

19. New England Patriots

Another team that could shoot up these power rankings, the New England Patriots have a great formula to be a breakout team, as Drake Maye could be poised to shock the NFL world.

18. Chicago Bears

With a rebuilt offensive line and added weapons, the 2025 Chicago Bears could be a Wild Card team in the NFC. Caleb Williams is another year two QB who could have what it takes to make a massive leap.

17. Miami Dolphins

I really have no idea what the Miami Dolphins are trying to do, but they feel pretty average at the moment, and much of that stems from their starting QB, Tua Tagovailoa.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars

A team that could be a lot better than expected in 2025, the Jacksonville Jaguars have two new notable people in the building in Liam Coen and Travis Hunter. Believe it or not, those two might have a big enough impact to get this franchise back into contention in the AFC South. They are 16th in our latest power rankings.

15. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals needed to rebuild their defensive line this offseason, and rebuild they did. This team was 6-4 at one point in 2024 and could be a dark-horse candidate to win the NFC West and snatch it away from the Los Angeles Rams.

14. Minnesota Vikings

I am ranking the Minnesota Vikings this low because they now have a huge question mark at the most important position in sports, and I am not going to pretend this team is a juggernaut or anything. Until JJ McCarthy proves that he can or can't be the guy, ranking Minnesota right around the middle of the pack is logical.

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A perfect example of a 'good not great team,' the Tampa Bay Buccaneers return a ton of starters are come in at 13th in our power rankings ahead of this year's schedule release.

12. Cincinnati Bengals

Even if the Cincinnati Bengals can field an average defense in 2025, they'll be among the best teams in the league. Ranking them 12th feels fair, as there is reason to believe that their unit won't yet again be among the worst in the NFL, right?

Right?

11. Los Angeles Chargers

The LA Chargers went 11-6 in 2024 and made the playoffs, but it does seem like this squad has a distinct performance ceiling with Justin Herbert under center...

10. Houston Texans

Coming in at 10th in our power rankings, the Houston Texans success in 2025 may just hinge on if they were able to fix their offensive line, which was their undoing in 2024.

9. Denver Broncos

Adding noticeable talent on both sides of the ball, the 10-win Denver Broncos from 2024 may have done enough to improve by a couple more wins for the 2025 NFL Season.

8. Los Angeles Rams

Eighth in our latest power rankings, the Los Angeles Rams finished the regular season 9-3 after an injury-plagued 1-4 start. Expect LA to win 12 or more games in 2025 if they aren't dealing with those types of injuries again.

7. Green Bay Packers

An 11-win team in 2024, the Packers are another potential team to watch out for to vault into Super Bowl contender status in 2025. Could first-round pick Matthew Golden help them get there?

6. Kansas City Chiefs

Getting blown out in the Super Bowl and winning all of their one-score games, the Kansas City Chiefs definitely weren't a juggernaut in 2024, but they are well-coached enough to win a ton of games and still have Patrick Mahomes on the sidelines.

5. Washington Commanders

A team I love to potentially vault into contention status in 2025, the Washington Commanders won 14 total games in 2024 and may have an early MVP-favorite in Jayden Daniels as their QB.

4. Baltimore Ravens

The second-ranked AFC team in our power rankings ahead of the schedule release, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens again fell short in the NFL playoffs, and if this does happen again, you have to wonder what kind of changes this franchise would make.

3. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have the best roster in the NFL when healthy, and if they don't have to deal with brutal defensive injuries yet again in 2025, they'll at least make a conference championship game.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills were unquestionably the best team in the AFC for the 2024 NFL Season, but they could not get past the nearly-unbeatable Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason. They are the top ranked AFC team in our latest power rankings.

1. Philadelphia Eagles

While I am do not think the Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFL, they did just win the Super Bowl, so they kind of have to be ranked at no. 1 by default if that makes sense. They look to become yet another NFL franchise to win two Super Bowls in a row.
