We are now entering Week 16 of the 2024 NFL Season, so let's power-rank the top-10 quarterbacks in the NFL ahead of the newest slate of games. There has been a ton of high-end QB play this year, but there has also been a ton of low-end QB play as well. And the best QBs in the NFL are truly having historic seasons if you ask me.

It's a shame that the NFL MVP race may be down to just one player, as there are two other QBs who should be firmly in the mix, but their teams are kind of letting them down. We have power-ranked the top-10 QBs in the NFL ahead of each new week of NFL action.

Well, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers get us kicked off in Week 16 later tonight on Thursday Night Football. Let's power-rank the top-10 QBs in the NFL ahead of that great game.

NFL Power Rankings: Ranking the top-10 quarterbacks approaching Week 16

10. Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers

Russell Wilson has played some very good football since coming into the lineup for the Steelers a while back. However, I think we can all see the ceiling with Wilson and the Steelers. They got their tails handed to them in Week 15 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, but one ugly loss does not take away from the body of work we've gotten from Wilson this year. He has been a very efficient QB.

The limitations are still there, and I am not sure the Steelers would be making the right move by extending him for multiple years, but this stretch of play they've gotten from the veteran QB is notable. Russell Wilson cracks the top-10 of our latest QB power rankings.

9. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels has gotten himself back into the top-10 of our latest QB power rankings. If the current trends hold up over the last three regular season games this year, Daniels should end up winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He's been stellar for nearly the entire season and has a passer rating above 100.

Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury clearly saw something early on with Daniels, and the sky is the limit for this team. In 2024, the Washington Commanders are 9-5 and have infused new life into this franchise, and there may only be a handful of teams who are in better shape for the long-term than the Commanders. They're not going to win the Super Bowl this year, but they're ahead of schedule with this rebuild.

Jayden Daniels is no. 9 on our latest QB power rankings approaching Week 16.

8. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford is still slinging it at a high level for the Los Angeles Rams. They're 8-6 on the season after their Week 15 win on Thursday Night Football. Stafford has thrown 10 touchdown passes against zero interceptions over the Rams last five games, and theyr'e 4-1 over that stretch. This team began the year 1-4 due to a ton of injuries, so this team is better than their 8-6 record indicates.

Matthew Stafford and the Rams could be quite dangerous in the postseason, and the QB is still somehow underrated. This team won it all back in 2021, and I have no reason to believe they can't make another Super Bowl run this year. They control their own destiny in the NFC West and could earn a top-4 seed in the playoffs.

7. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers notched a huge win in Week 15 over the Seattle Seahawks and are now 10-4 on the season. Love has definitely cut down on the interceptions as of late and has been a high-end QB for over a year now. He all of a sudden turned it around about six-ish weeks into the 2023 NFL Season, and that helped Green Bay finish the year with a winning record.

This team still may be a year away, but Love has played some great football this year and is no. 7 in our latest power rankings.

6. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings

Sam Darnold is having the year of his life, and I struggle to see how the Minnesota Vikings could just let him leave in free agency. It'll be interesting to see how the Vikes approach the situation with their QB, but Darnold has played so well this year that he may be guaranteed a starting role on either the Vikings or another team in 2025.

5. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield is throwing the ball all over the place and helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blow out the Los Angeles Chargers in their house. The Bucs are now 8-6 on the season and are in first place in the NFC South. I would not count out this team from making a sneaky playoff run given how electric Mayfield has been this year throwing the ball.

4. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Jared Goff did what he could in Week 15, but the defensive injuries for the Detroit Lions are becoming too much for this team to hang with the big boys. A loss against the Buffalo Bills is probably the dagger in his MVP campaign, but Goff has totally turned his career around in Detroit and is having a stellar season.

3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has been the third-best QB in the NFL this year, in my opinion. The Buffalo Bills are now 11-3 on the season and wrapped up the AFC East weeks ago. The Bills record may essentially guarantee Allen winning the NFL MVP award this year, but you just never know.

The biggest positive with Josh Allen this year has been him seriously cutting down on the turnovers, which was a legitimate problem in 2023. Allen comes in at no. 3 on our latest QB power rankings.

2. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow is insane. He leads the league in completions, attempts, yards, and touchdowns. He's got 3,977 yards and 36 touchdown passes on the season through just 14 games.

It would not be crazy to see Burrow hit the 50-touchdown mark. That would take 14 TD passes over his final three games, which is a lot, but if the Cincinnati Bengals are falling behind in their remaining games and need Burrow to again carry the team, he could hit that mark.

It's very likely that Burrow ends the year leading the league in those eye-popping stats like passing yards and touchdowns. Even if the Bengals defense was average, Cincy would probably be 10-4 and in the driver's seat to make the playoffs. It would take a miracle for this team to make the postseason in 2024, so this insane QB year could be all for nothing.

1. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

I struggle to find a QB who has played better than Lamar Jackson this year, and Jackson is a great example of why the MVP award may be flawed. We know it's a QB award at this point, and with the Baltimore Ravens being just 9-5, it just does not feel likely at this point that Jackson wins the award unless the Ravens win-out and the Buffalo Bills collapse.

It's an odd dynamic to work through, but Jackson has undoubtedly been the best QB in football this year, period. Heck, he's having one of the most efficient seasons of any QB in NFL history. He's got 34 touchdowns on the year with just three interceptions.

He's also going to finally have a 4,000-yard passing season and is completing 68.1% of his passes. This is one of those vintage Aaron Rodgers-MVP type of years. The Ravens being 9-5 is what is holding Jackson back, as odd as that sounds, and he can thank the bad passing defense for that.

I was originally thinking that Josh Allen was the slam-dunk pick for the MVP this year, but even as I type this blurb out, I may be switching over to Lamar Jackson. He is simply marvelous. This could be an all-time QB season.
