Week 2 of the 2025 NFL Season is already nearly upon us. Let's make one bold prediction for each game.

Week 1 definitely brought a few surprises, but for the most part, things went as expected. That might not be the case in Week 2, as there are different games and circumstances. As the season goes on, teams across the NFL will begin to hit their true stride, as the 'good' and 'bad' teams will soon be revealed.

With Week 2 right around the corner, let's make one bold prediction for each game.

One bold prediction for each Week 2 game in the 2025 NFL Season

Washington Commanders @ Green Bay Packers - Green Bay earns a statement win by double-digits

The Packers aced their early-season Week 1 test with a huge win over the Detroit Lions, and they now host the Washington Commanders, another formidable team. Well, the Packers are going to defend their home turf and overwhelm Washington, winning by double-digits.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow throws five touchdown passes

I actually feel sorry for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Joe Burrow is going to play like a man possessed and toss five touchdown passes against a below-average secondary in a massive Bengals' win.

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys - Jaxson Dart sees the field at some point

Russell Wilson is already on thin ice, it seems. Well, the Dallas Cowboys will play well enough on defense to see rookie QB Jaxson Dart take the field in place of Wilson. Dart was electric in the preseason for the Giants.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions - Bears kick a game-winning field goal

Both teams dropped the ball big-time in Week 1, and you don't get the sense that either is super pleased. In his return to Detroit, Ben Johnson will help lead Chicago to kick a game-winning field goal as time expires for the win.

Los Angeles Rams @ Tennessee Titans - Rams put up a 40-burger

The LA Rams are going to blowout the Tennessee Titans, and with how god the Rams' offense can be, them putting up 40 points is actually on the table. The Rams are light-years ahead of the Titans in every single way, so Tennessee is going to have to wait at least until Week 3 to see the first win of the Cam Ward era.

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins - Dolphins lose by at least 20 points again

The Miami Dolphins lost by 25 points in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, and you get the sense that things aren't going to get much better for this team. The Patriots will continue to put their own operation together as the season goes on, and they'll get their first win of the season in a 20-point drubbing of the Dolphins.

San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints - Newly-signed kicker Eddy Pineiro kicks a go-ahead field goal late in the fourth quarter

The 49ers have waived kicker Jake Moody and signed Eddy Pineiro to take his place. Well, Pineiro is no slouch, as he's made 88.1% of his kicks, so he's efficient. San Francisco is already banged up, so this game is going to be closer than expected, but their newly-signed kicker is going to boot a go-ahead field goal late in the fourth quarter, which ends up being the winning points.

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets - Josh Allen and Justin Fields combine for 200 rushing yards

Both Josh Allen and Justin Fields are elite as runners, and we're going to see each QB do a ton of damage on the ground in Week 2. In fact, the starting quarterbacks in this game will end up combining for at least 200 rushing yards. Buffalo likely wins this game.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers - Aaron Rodgers throws for another four touchdown passes in a Steelers' win

Aaron Rodgers was on fire in Week 1 against the New York Jets, and now he's rewarded a bit with his first home game as a Steeler. Vintage Aaron Rodgers will come out yet again, as he'll toss another four touchdowns and send the Seattle Seahawks to a lousy 0-2 record in their first year of the Sam Darnold era.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens - Ravens shutout the Browns in a 'get back on track' win

Shutouts are rare in the NFL, but the Baltimore Ravens are due for a game like this after their ridiculous second-half collapse against the Buffalo Bills. AFC North divisional games are usually played quite close, but the Ravens aren't going to have any of that nonsense, as they'll shutout the Browns in a statement win to get back on track.

Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts - The Broncos run for at least 100 yards in the first half

The Denver Broncos' run game came alive in the second half, and Sean Payton knows he's got to get that run game going much earlier in Week 2 and beyond. Denver is going to run all over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 and will finish with at least 100 yards in the first half alone.

Denver could runaway with this win if their offense is a bit better.

Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals - Bryce Young again throws more interceptions than touchdowns

Folks, Bryce Young just is not it. He's a bad quarterback and is likely not going to make it the entire season for the Carolina Panthers as their starting QB. Even though the Cardinals' secondary isn't super talented, they'll pick-off Bryce Young multiple times, as he'll again have a game where he throws more picks than touchdowns.

And if the Panthers lose in ugly fashion with a poor offensive performance, you have to wonder if a change at signal-caller would be on the table.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Kansas City Chiefs - Defending champs hand the Chiefs a brutal 0-2 start

It's hard for me to envision the Kansas City Chiefs winning this game, which is insane to think, but the Chiefs are simply missing key roster talent on either side of the ball and just cannot hang with teams like the Eagles that just ooze talent. Yes, this game is in Kansas City, but the Eagles are going to runaway with this one in the second half and send the Chiefs to a shaky 0-2 start.

Atlanta Falcons @ Minnesota Vikings - JJ McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr combine for six touchdown passes

Two first-round quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL Draft are going head-to-head in this game, and it's going to be a high-flying game for both passing offenses, as each team has more pass-catching talent than the opposition does secondary talent, so I believe we could be in for a treat. JJ McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr will comebine for six touchdown passes in a shootout.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Houston Texans - Baker Mayfield and CJ Stroud each lead their offenses to at least 30 points

On paper, this could be a fierce defensive battle, but why can't this be a a show on offense? Both Baker Mayfield and CJ Stroud have what it takes to lead their offenses to a high output, and playing this game indoors is going to help. I am feeling an 'offensive' mood now, so we'll predict that each QB leads their team to at least 30 points in a very entertaining primetime showdown.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders - Geno Smith and Justin Herbert combine for 650 passing yards or more

Both Geno Smith and Justin Herbert combined to throw 680 yards in their Week 1 matchups. Their passing yardage totals are going to stay quite high in Week 2, as they'll combine to throw for at least 650 in yet another heavy-offense game in our Week 2 NFL bold predictions.
