Week 9 of the 2025 NFL Season is now nearly in the books, and we have our latest QB power rankings ready to roll. We are now far enough in the season to where we have a very strong idea of who the best and worst QBs in the NFL are.
And this is the same for the entire team as well. Now that we've crossed the halfway point of the season, we have the 2025 NFL trade deadline staring us in the face. The deadline is on Tuesday, but we could see a ton of trades go down on Monday.
Before we get there, though, we have to unveil our latest QB power rankings. As always, we are primarily ranking the QBs based on their total body of work, but are using their most recent performance to justify the new movement in the rankings. Let's get into it.
NFL QB Power Rankings: Tyler Shough debuts, Matthew Stafford at the top?
32. Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough is the new face in our QB power rankings, as the New Orleans Saints benched Spencer Rattler for the rookie Shough for Week 9, but it was, predictably, a Saints’ loss against the LA Rams.
Shough could only do so much. He finished the day with 176 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, so there was some good on the field, but some not-so-good, the Saints also have one of the worst rosters in the NFL and need to be huge sellers at the NFL trade deadline.
Tyler Shough is last in our QB power rankings.
31. Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans
Another iffy start from Cam Ward and another loss for the Tennessee Titans continues to land Ward low in our QB power rankings. This is a lame-duck coaching staff, which is a shame, as it is not always fair to critique the QB in this situation.
However, Cam Ward hasn’t made many plays this year, and it’s just a season to forget. This is about as bad as it gets for a rookie QB in today’s NFL, as even teams with rookie QBs are sometimes able to latch onto some form of success.
Ward is no. 31 in our QB power rankings.
30. Dillon Gabriel, Cleveland Browns
If nothing else, Dillon Gabriel has thrown five touchdowns against two interceptions this year, so his ratio is fine, but it’s been another season to forget for the Cleveland Browns, and it isn’t really Gabriel’s fault. Gabriel is now 1-3 as a starter for the Browns this year and is honestly putting on a decent audition for the Browns’ QB2 role in 2026.
The Browns have now had years of below-average QB play ever since that Deshaun Watson trade. Watson hasn’t played in quite some time and might not take another snap for the Browns. You also can’t really fault the front office for that move, as the trade definitely seemed great when it went down.
It’s been a struggle for this franchise for multiple years, and Gabriel could simply be passing by for a few games. I would not be shocked to see Cleveland totally resetting this QB room in 2026 and beyond.
29. Justin Fields, New York Jets
Justin Fields has been a bad quarterback for his entire career, and he’s now on his third team in as many seasons. Fields and the 1-7 New York Jets need a complete reset, and the veteran Fields hasn’t shown much of anything, but we knew that. I guess not throwing an interception is something to note, but he’s thrown just five touchdown passes and only has 1,089 yards.
I would expect that the Jets cut ties with Fields following the 2025 NFL Season, so he’ll again be looking for a new NFL team. The main issue with Fields is that he’s simply not an NFL-caliber passer - he holds onto the ball much too long and just isn’t able to play on time.
People get excited over Fields because of what he can do with his legs, but that only goes so far in today’s NFL. He’s a fun backup option for certain teams that covet a mobile QB, but he’s going to do more harm than good with his arm. Fields is no. 29 in our QB power rankings in another lost year for the QB and for the New York Jets.
28. JJ McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
How about the Minnesota Vikings? The Detroit Lions probably expected to walk away with a relatively comfortable win here in Week 9, but the Vikings winning this one really made the NFC North a lot more interesting, as the Vikings are 4-4 and are all of a sudden one game behind the Lions in the standings.
Moreover, this game was in Detroit, so it’s such a huge win for this franchise. McCarthy played well, all things considered, but we obviously can’t rank him super high. This is his third start of the season and his third NFL start, period. There is still a ton of unknown with this player, and it won’t do us any good to overreact to one game.
Sure, it was impressive, but in order for McCarthy to rise in our QB power rankings, he has to keep stacking positive performances like this one. Good for McCarthy and the Vikingsn nonetheless.
27. Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
With four touchdown passes on the day in the loss, Geno Smith has at least now thrown as many touchdowns as interceptions. For weeks, he had more interceptions than touchdowns, which is just not nearly good enough ti be a starting QB in the NFL.
However, predictably, it was another Las Vegas Raiders’ loss, as they fall to 2-6 on the season with this latest loss, in overtime against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Raiders’ decision to trade legitimate NFL draft capital for Geno Smith was a horrendous mistake and something that they should honestly be ashamed of - Smith is not a starting-caliber QB at this stage of his career and is only making things worse for the Raiders. He’s been largely bad this year, and things aren’t going to change.
Vegas is on a short week and travels to Denver to face the Broncos on Thursday Night Football, so the Raiders might again be staring down another loss. Their starting QB is not good enough to win consistently in the NFL. Smith is again low in our QB power rankings.
26. Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
Jacoby Brissett plays on Monday Night Football
Jacoby Brissett has been efficient for the Arizona Cardinals this year, and he’s getting another start for the team in Week 9. What some have pointed out with this situation is that it does almost feel like they are purposely not putting Kyler Murray back on the field.
And as wild as it might sound right now; I would not be shocked to see Murray getting traded between now and by the time the 2026 NFL Draft rolls around. I get the sense that the Cardinals’ front office wants to go in a different direction, as the regime that drafted Murray hasn’t been there for years now.
If the Cardinals needed a bridge QB for 2026, Jacoby Brissett might be their guy. He has a 97.7 passer rating this year, which is great.
25. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are going to see some major change before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, and the future of their starting QB feels as uncertain as anyone’s in the NFL right now. Tagovailoa is a good, efficient QB for the most part, but his production has taken a hit this year, and the entire operation is falling apart.
The Dolphins clearly aren’t going to win a Super Bowl with Tagovailoa as their QB, but with how desperate teams are for competent QB play, it would not shock me to see him on a new team and starting in 2026 and beyond.
Tagovailoa has thrown 15 touchdowns this year, which is great, but he’s also thrown 11 interceptions. Funnily enough, he’s got a 40-31 record as a starter, so he is a winner. I would not be shocked to see a couple teams picking up the phone and trying to swing a trade for Tagovailoa in the future.
24. Michael Penix Jr, Atlanta Falcons
Michael Penix Jr and the Atlanta Falcons are in a bit of an odd situation. This team is pretty up and down in terms of team performances, as they got blown out by the Miami Dolphins at home in Week 8, but then went toe-to-toe with the New England Patriots.
Penix himself played well but hasn’t really sustained a desirable level of play for the 2025 season. I would not be shocked to see the Falcons cleaning house and bringing in a new head coach. I would be shocked, at this point, of Raheem Morris returned.
The Falcons are now 3-5 on the season and have an uphill battle in the NFC South, as the Carolina Panthers are a five-win team, so Atlanta is bringing up the rear with the New Orleans Saints. Penix has had some moments of being great this year, though.
23. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers won one of the uglier games you will see in today’s NFL and kicked a walk-off field goal to upset the Green Bay Packers. Bryce Young wasn’t very good in this game but has largely looked OK this year.
The Panthers are also 5-4 on the season and are hanging around in the NFC playoff picture. I am not sure if the franchise is going to stick with Young into 2026, as I don’t think he’s really slammed the door on being a franchise QB.
They could look for an upgrade if one presents itself and try to find the next Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, or Baker Mayfield-type of reclamation project. Despite the shaky performance, though, Young and the Panthers are 5-4.
But he’s not a QB that opposing defenses are scared of. Young is still ranked lower in our QB rankings.
22. Jayden Daniels
Jayden Daniels plays on Sunday Night Football
It has been a season to forget for the Washington Commanders in the 2025 NFL Season, as the second-year regression is hitting this team hard, as they are 3-5 coming into Sunday Night Football and are likely 3-6 when the evening is over.
Jayden Daniels hasn’t been that good this year and has also struggled to stay on the field, which is an entirely different issue for this team. Daniels and the Commanders lost six games all of 2024, including the playoffs.
They were within one game of the Super Bowl and don’t feel close to being a playoff team this year. I guess we should have expected this with a roster up there in age and being limited on talent.
Daniels hasn’t been notable this year and is honestly a QB that we haven’t really had to talk about - there’s just been nothing special.
21. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans
CJ Stroud left the Houston Texans’ Week 9 loss against the Denver Broncos thanks to a concussion. He left in the first half and did not return, so we didn’t get to see much at all of Stroud. Houston lost this game and surely liked their chances if Stroud had stayed in the game, as it took the Denver Broncos until the final seconds of the game to beat the Texans.
Overall, Stroud and the Texans had been riding a bit of a hot streak, as they had won three of four games coming into this one and now drop to 3-5 on the season with the loss. Stroud has been fine this year, but many of the issues with this franchise has been the offensive line.
CJ Stroud is a franchise quarterback, but until GM Nick Caserio fixes up the OL, the offense won't find the consistent success it had in Stroud's rookie season back in 2023.
20. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Is Trevor Lawrence just… bad? He’s now thrown nine touchdown passes against six interceptions this year, but the Jacksonville Jaguars are now 5-3 on the season after a huge overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
And with the Colts losing in Week 9, the Jaguars made up some ground, so that’s something, I suppose, but we’re now in year five of the Lawrence era, and there just isn’t anything that sticks out with this quarterback.
The longer it goes that Lawrence doesn’t consistent play like a franchise QB, the more worried I get that the Jags don’t have one. He was given that ‘generational label’ coming out of college, but we have not seen it yet.
Lawrence is no. 20 in our QB power rankings but could honestly be ranked lower depending on what you think about the situation.
19. Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns
This was one of the wildest games you will ever see in today’s NFL, as the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals traded blows, but the Bengals’ defense again fell short and dropped the ball. Flacco was closer to throwing for 500 yards today than he was 400, which is wild.
Flacco has now thrown 11 touchdown passes against just two interceptions for the Bengals this year and now has 13 touchdown passes against eight picks, so he has been a functional QB in 2025. He can’t play defense, though, and the lack of wins are not his fault.
He’s been solid this year and is still slinging in around. If nothing else, Flacco is at least padding his personal stats, but he appears to be in a losing situation with the Bengals in what might just be his final year in the NFL. Flacco is now no. 19 in our QB power rankings after a solid outing.
18. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
Jaxson Dart has been good this year and is absolutely someone who the Giants are going to build around in 2026 and beyond, but I am not sure Brian Daboll is going to be here to help with that, which sucks for him.
Dart has shown a lot of those ‘intangible’ qualities that make many of the greatest franchise quarterbacks in today’s NFL. Sure, it’s rough around the edges so far, but he’s a rookie and on a bad team, so you can’t expect greatness right out of the gate.
The Giants’ first round pick had an efficient game in Week 9, but his defense could not stop a nosebleed, so it goes down as a loss even when Dart played well enough for the Giants to win. It felt like it wasn’t that long ago that many were wondering if the Giants could stack some wins and go on a bit of a run, but here we are.
Jaxson Dart is definitely someone of note who could make a huge leap in his second year in the NFL.
17. Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers
Mac Jones now has 10 touchdown passes against five interceptions on the year, as the San Francisco 49ers move to 6-3 on the season with a win over the New York Giants. The 49ers are one of the more interesting teams in the NFL.
At 6-3, they have a stellar record and have already matched their win total from the 2024 NFL Season. San Fran may only need to win three or four of their remaining games to clinch a playoff spot. However, the Niners have dealt with a ton of injuries, and if you woke up from a coma, you might not know that Mac Jones is actually the backup QB.
You almost have to wonder if the 49ers regret, perhaps just a little bit, giving Brock Purdy that massive contract, as Jones has been solid this year and has played like one of the 32-best QBs in the NFL. This is also a great spot for Jones to be in - the Kyle Shanahan offense is based on those pillars of rhythm and timing, and Mac Jones is able to operate in that offense well.
If the Niners keep winning, how does Mac Jones come out of the lineup?
16. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
How about Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears? Now 5-3 on the season, the Bears got back on track with a dramatic win over the Cincinnati Bengals, as Williams hit Colston Loveland on a late-game touchdown to seal the deal for Chicago.
Williams now has 12 touchdowns against just four picks this year and is definitely taking a bit of a leap. The completion percentage has gone down a bit, and Williams isn’t going to go very far completing under 62% of his passes, and that really seems like the bare minimum in the modern-day NFL.
The Bears being 5-3 really sets themselves up nicely to clinch a Wild Card spot late in the season. Of their nine remaining games, they might only have to go 5-4 to make it in. With the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions each losing in Week 9, the Bears earning their fifth win gives them the same amount as Green Bay and Detroit.
It’s still probably a year too early for Caleb Williams and the Bears this year, but he’s played well in his second year in the NFL and is on the right track to become a franchise QB for a team desperate for one.
15. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
What we have to understand in today’s NFL is that there is simply a ton of parity, and not every game is going to be easy. Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos did what they wanted to on offense last week against the Dallas Cowboys but did not play well in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.
Games like this happen, as I bet both the Broncos and Texans expected this game to go like it did, but Nix did throw two touchdown passes and led a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. Nix is clearly a clutch player, as the Denver Broncos are now winners of six games in a row and tied with the Colts and Patriots for the best record in the AFC.
Nix now has 17 touchdown passes against six interceptions this year, so he has kept the ball out of harm’s way and is a lot further along than he was during his rookie season. With the win, Nix also moves to 17-9 as a starter, which is a sensational record.
The Broncos will be just fine - this game was going to happen.
14. Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers
Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 250 yards in any game this year, but he’s carving out consistent, efficient outings for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he now has 17 touchdown passes against just five interceptions this year. He’s had a 95 passer rating in every game by one this year and has been the epitome of steady this year.
The Pittsburgh Steelers upset the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9, so Pittsburgh snaps their two-game losing streak and remain atop the AFC North with a respectable 5-3 record. With how bad the Browns and Bengals are, the Steelers may only have to fend-off the Baltimore Ravens, who are winners of two in a row and who got Lamar Jackson back.
Rodgers is likely in his last year in the NFL, but it seems like he could probably play another year. This is again a team that is plenty good enough to get into the playoffs, but I am not sure they are good enough to win a playoff game, and that’s been their issue for years now.
Aaron Rodgers is a future Hall of Fame QB and clearly has some gas left in the tank.
13. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Justin Herbert has played well recently, and the Los Angeles Chargers are now 6-3 on the season after what turned out to be a too close to call type of win over the Tennessee Titans. Left tackle Joe Alt left the game with an ankle injury, and that injury seems to be a bit more serious than the first one he suffered.
Herbert has also thrown four interceptions over the past three games, including a pick-six in Week 9 to Cody Barton. Herbert has thrown eight picks this year already and had just three in 2024 and seven in 2023, so he’s putting the ball in harm’s way a lot more this year, which is not ideal.
What is clear, though, is that the LA Chargers have themselves a very high-floor quarterback in Herbert, and they’re likely going to again make the playoffs for the second time in two years of the Jim Harbaugh era.
Herbert is a good QB, but he’s more ‘good’ than ‘great,’ and I just do not get the sense that he’ll ever be able to lead this team to a deep playoff run.
12. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
This was as bad as you’ll see the Green Bay Packers play - an inexcusable loss to the Carolina Panthers is something that I didn’t have on my Bingo card in Week 9. From top to bottom, this was a bad team performance, and Jordan Love did not play all that well, but the Packers are still 5-2-1 for a reason and are still a very good team.
Love himself has largely been very efficient this year, so while this loss was no good, it should not really take away from the big picture - the Packers will be fine and will be able to rebound from this.
I would also expect them to add some talent before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline as well. On the season, Jordan Love has thrown 13 touchdowns against just three interceptions. He’s got a 107.9 passer rating and is completing over 70% of his passes.
This was the first game where Love didn’t have a touchdown pass this season, so he’s been on fire in the 2025 campaign. Love drops just a bit in our latest QB power rankings.
11. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts are now 7-2 on the season after a pretty ugly loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many had wondered if the Colts would be able to sustain this type of success, as their schedule is getting harder.
Jones showed signs of the old Jones, as he tossed three interceptions and just did not look good at all. That is really the main concern I have with this team - they are so well-built from top to bottom, and Jones has played very well this year, but the old Jones is probably always going to stay with him to an extent.
The Colts now see the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots tie them with a 7-2 record after their victories today, but with how iffy the AFC South looks right now, Indy should be able to win this division by multiple games.
If nothing else, Daniel Jones could at least be competent the rest of the way, as the Colts have an elite offensive line and an elite group of skill position players as well.
10. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold plays on Sunday Night Football
Sam Darnold plays on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Commanders, and this should be a Seattle Seahawks’ victory. Darnold has been stellar this season and is building off of the insane year he had with the Minnesota Vikings back in 2024.
Darnold bounced around on a few teams before arriving in Minnesota last year. It just goes to show you how much coaching and being in the right situation matters for quarterbacks. Darnold played 28 years old back in June and might have a solid 5-7 year prime ahead of him.
Furthermore, the Seattle Seahawks are one of the more well-rounded teams in the NFL, but they do need to add a guard at the NFL trade deadline to help Darnold out. Heading into SNF, Darnold has thrown 12 touchdown passes against four interceptions and has a stellar 109.2 passer rating.
He’s able to make every single throw on the field and has been outstanding for a hear and a half now. Darnold continues to take residence near the top of our quarterback power rankings.
9. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
This was about as bad as Patrick Mahomes will ever play - he completed less than 50% of his passes in a pretty ugly Chiefs’ loss to the Buffalo Bills, and it’s yet another installment of KC losing to Buffalo in the regular season.
Some have already wondered if we can just fast-forward to the inevitable playoff matchup between the Bills and Chiefs, but KC just doesn’t feel all that special this year, and they are now third place in the AFC West.
The LA Chargers are 6-3, and the Denver Broncos are 7-2, so the Chiefs are now two entire games behind the Broncos with a huge Week 11 showdown coming up in Week 11. Mahomes has largely been very good this year, but this was a bad performance in a high-leverage situation.
What might end up happening is the Chiefs get into the playoffs and make yet another deep playoff run, but KC just isn’t really showing that kind of pizzazz that we’ve seen from them in previous seasons.
8. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Jalen Hurts has thrown 15 touchdown passes this year against just one interception, which is insanely impressive, and it’s honestly hard to believe. Hurts has struggled with interceptions in his career before, but that has not been the case in 2025.
He has been sacked 25 times in eight games, and taking three sacks per game is simply not good enough in today’s NFL. The Eagles are 6-2 and riding high, but it’s not been easy, and many of their offensive issues earlier in the season were somewhat due to Hurts’ play.
Hurts is a fine QB and not much more - he’s not someone who is able to drop back and throw the ball 35 times a game. He’ll perform well with a strong run game and supporting cast, and the Eagles have typically been able to field that during his career.
But only one interception this year is an insane level of taking care of the football.
7. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills earned a hard-fought win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, moving to 6-2 on the season, and they are now two games up on the Chiefs in the loss column. Allen was sensational this year, and while the Bills have not been quite as efficient on offense as they were in 2024, they’re 6-2 on the season and have the second-best record in the NFL.
Buffalo also has an easier schedule the rest of the way and should be able to stack a ton of wins before the playoffs roll around. The reigning MVP now has 13 touchdown passes on the season and has just one game this year where he hasn’t thrown a TD pass. He’s also only had two games this year without a 100 passer rating.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills tend to collapse in the playoffs, and what they have done this year really hasn’t been anything different than they’ve done in previous seasons. They are such a high-floor team in the regular season, but they simply have not been able to get over the hump in the postseason.
6. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson returned to the lineup in Week 9 for the Baltimore Ravens and led them to a win over the Miami Dolphins. Jackson now has 14 touchdown passes this year against one interception, and since the start of the 2024 NFL Season, his production is almost hard to believe:
402/592 (67.9%)
5,245 yards
55 touchdowns
5 interceptions
123 passer rating
That is just flat-out insane, and he should have won the MVP award in 2024. Anyway, the Ravens are now 3-5 on the season and have to keep stacking some wins to get back into the AFC playoff picture, but with Jackson playing the way he is, it feels likely that the Ravens are playing meaningful football in December once again.
5. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott plays on Monday Night Football
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys’ offense hit a brick wall in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos’ defense, but most opposing quarterbacks do, and it does not take away from how good he’s been this year. The Cowboys play on Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals and should be able to win that game.
Prescott and the Cowboys are insanely efficient on offense when at home, as their defense has been the sore spot all season. It would not shock me to see Dallas adding a player or or two on defense before Tuesday’s deadline, as the offense is plenty good enough to make a deep playoff run, and Prescott is at the center of it all.
Weirdly enough, he tends to play very well when coming off of an injury or a down year the previous season, so this is something he’s done before. Dak Prescott does get a ton of hate because he plays for the Dallas Cowboys, and it's simply not fair if you ask me. He is no. 5 in our QB power rankings as Week 9 ends.
4. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Another efficient day for Drake Maye through the air again helped the New England Patriots win and move to 7-2 in the process. The Patriots join the Denver Broncos with their sixth win in a row, which leads the NFL. Now yes, Maye and the Patriots have beat up on bad teams this year, but they’re doing what they should be doing.
Maye has arguably been an MVP candidate this year and has completed over 74% of his passes, which is just something you do not see in the NFL, let alone from a second-year QB. The Pats are going to be a huge problem for years to come and are in a great position to win the AFC East this year. At worst, the Pats will settle into one of the top Wild Card seeds in the AFC.
Anyway, Drake Maye has been very good this entire season and continues to land near the top of our QB power rankings
3. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
It was another efficient day for Jared Goff, who has great days more than bad days, but the Detroit Lions fell to the JJ McCarthy-led Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon in one of the more shocking results of the weekend.
The Lions will be fine, but it’s definitely a bad loss, as they drop to 5-3 on the season, and they had only lost two games all of last season, so they’ve hit a bit of a regression. With the Packers losing and Bears winning, the NFC North is anyone’s division at this point.
Jared Goff has been the best QB in the NFC North this year, and I would take Goff and the Lions to win this division because of that. He’s been one of the best QBs in the NFL for multiple years now and has, as we have said, totally remade himself with the Lions since arriving in a trade back in 2021.
2. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on their bye in Week 9 and have an insane stretch of tough games right after that, as they’re set to face the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Rams in Weeks 10, 11, and 12.
That will be a huge test for this team, as it’s hard to get a good read on them - they rank 14th in points scored and 16th in points allowed, so they actually might be a lot closer to being average than we think, but winning two or all three of those games could do wonders.
Mayfield himself has again been efficient - he’s thrown 13 touchdown passes against just two interceptions this year and is continuing to be one of the more efficient quarterbacks in the NFL. Mayfield has a 100.2 passer rating in his now three-year career with the Buccaneers.
1. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
It was another stellar game from Matthew Stafford through the air, as the Los Angeles Rams now move to 6-2 on the season with a blowout win over the New Orleans Saints. The Rams were fresh off of their bye and really just took the time to get healthy for the stretch run.
This was not a game that the Rams had to do much to win, and while they obviously had to score some points, the Saints were never going to be a match for LA. Stafford is playing the best football of his career if you ask me and has now been the best QB in the NFL this year.
He’s stacked touchdown pass after touchdown pass in recent weeks and has been taking care of the ball at an insanely high level this year as well. Back when Stafford got traded to the Rams in 2021, I had said to myself that I thought he was going to win an MVP award.
Well, with his torrid start here in the 2025 NFL Season, an MVP award feels possible, and the Rams are plenty good enough to win the Super Bowl this year. Matthew Stafford is no. 1 in our power rankings as Week 9 closes out.
