The NFL trade block could be heating up. Let's dive into a ton of players who could be on the move in the coming weeks. The 2025 NFL Trade Deadline is following Week 9 action and is on November 4th, so we are just about one month away from that happening.
And given how the league looks right now, the deadline promises to be a wild one. The AFC is truly wide open, and I am not sure it's been this open in quite some time. The top contenders like the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs both have major holes, and the other contenders we thought would be near the top like Baltimore and Cincinnati are trending toward missing the playoffs.
We've outlined nine of the most likely players, in our view, who could be moved ahead of the deadline, let's get into it here.
NFL Trade Block: Which players could be moved, and where could they be traded to?
9. Chig Okonkwo, TE, Tennessee Titans
A veteran tight end and solid receiving options, Chig Okonkwo saw the Tennessee Titans draft Gunnar Helm in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Okonkwo has been here for a little while, so the current regime might not have much of a connection here, and I would not be shocked if the Titans were the first team to wave the white flag and begin trading players in hopes of building for the future.
Potential Landing Spots: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers
8. Michael Mayer, TE, Las Vegas Raiders
Another tight end, Michael Mayer was a second-round pick a few years ago but simply has not panned out thus far, and with the Las Vegas Raiders having taken Brock Bowers in the 2024 NFL Draft, it would make sense that Mayer could get a fresh start. There is a new regime in town, and this could end up being a mutual parting of ways when it's all said and done.
Potential Landing Spots: San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Washington Commanders
7. Jameis Winston, QB, New York Giants
Jameis Winston is one of two Giants' QBs on this list, as the team has now turned the reigns over to rookie Jaxson Dart, who won his first start. Winston might be the most likely of the other veteran QB to actually stay, but he also might have better trade value. The most obvious fit here would be the Cincinnati Bengals, as the AFC is wide open, and the Bengals do have enough weapons to perhaps see Jameis Winston play quite well.
Potential Landing Spots: Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens
6. Bradley Chubb, DE, Miami Dolphins
Bradley Chubb has always been a productive player and a good pass rusher, but he's never stayed consistently healthy, and it's just baffling that the Miami Dolphins gave up a first-round pick to the Denver Broncos a couple of seasons ago to trade for him.
The Dolphins are trending toward a full rebuild in the near future, so they should look to get what they can for Chubb. He's got three sacks on the year thus far and could be a very solid addition for a team in need of some above-average pass rush help.
The Broncos were able to flip that first-rounder in the trade that landed them Sean Payton and now have the best EDGE duo in the NFL in Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper, so it is safe to say the Dolphins lost this trade.
Potential Landing Spots: Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys
5. Riq Woolen, CB, Seattle Seahawks
Riq Woolen just hasn't been able to find that spark he had as a rookie when he intercepted six passes and made the Super Bowl. He's been in and out of the Seattle Seahawks' lineup, but it's clear that the Seahawks can probably move on from him. Woolen is a 6-4 cornerback, so he's truly an outlier at the positon and does have a very high ceiling in the right situation.
I could see a contender making the bold move to land him.
Potential Landing Spots: Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders
4. Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara has been with the New Orleans Saints since being drafted back in the 2017 NFL Draft and has been one of the very best receiving backs of this generation, period. A five-time Pro Bowler, Kamara has nearly 12,000 scrimmage yards and clearly still has something left in the tank.
While you may get annoyed at my suggestion; the Kansas City Chiefs would make a lot of sense, as they need another weapon out of the backfield, and Kamara fits that offense like a glove. The LA Chargers might also be in the market for another running back with the injury to Najee Harris as well.
Potential Landing Spots: Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers
3. Russell Wilson, QB, New York Giants
The New York Giants stopped the Russell Wilson experiment after just three games, and that made sense. To be frank, the Giants probably should not have signed Wilson, as it seems like the team panicked when they signed both Wilson and Jameis Winston, who is also on this list.
The Giants are moving foward with Jaxson Dart, and I would personally say that Winston is much better suited to be his backup than Wilson is. However, there really is only one logical team for Wilson to get traded to, and it's the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Bengals struggle to take care of their own players, so trading for a QB seems super unlikely.
Potential Landing Spots: Cincinnati Bengals
2. Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
In the final year of his contract but still just 24 years old, Breece Hall could be on the move. The New York Jets are a disastrous 0-4, and the front office could definitely fetch a solid return for Hall, who I believe is better than most people think. He's been a productive player despite being on the Jets, a team that makes offense seem impossible.
Hall could fit with a team like the Chiefs or Chicago Bears as a solid dual-threat option out of the backfield. Both Andy Reid and Ben Johnson would surely love to have Hall, but the Arizona Cardinals also need backfield help.
Potential Landing Spots: Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals
1. Kirk Cousins, QB, Atlanta Falcons
The no. 1 ranked player on our trade block big board is Kirk Cousins, a veteran QB who once had the Atlanta Falcons 6-3 in the 2024 NFL Season, but he declined in real-time and is now the backup to Michael Penix Jr. It's no secret that the Falcons would surely love to offload Cousins, but it's not going to be easy. The Cincinnati Bengals would be the most logical destination, but I could also see a major reunion with the Minnesota Vikings if Carson Wentz can't find his way and if JJ McCarthy just isn't ready yet.
Cousins might still have something left in the tank, as he's another year removed from his Achilles injury. Could Kirk Cousins be on the move within the next month?
