Another weekend, another three-round mock draft for you to absorb! At this point, the first few picks of the 2024 NFL Draft do seem to be locked in, at least in my view. I don’t think we’ll see the Bears, Commanders, and Patriots do anything different than making Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye the first three picks.
From there, though, is when the NFL Draft can get crazy. Will the Arizona Cardinals trade their No. 4 pick? And if so, who comes up? Well, the Minnesota Vikings seem to be the likely team, but would it be wise to count out Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos? Could there be a mystery team we aren’t talking about?
And even after that, a ton of uncertainty is present as well. The NFL Draft is about one month away, and for the draft prospects, some of their lives will be changed forever. Let’s put together another three-round mock draft with some monumental trades.
2024 NFL Mock Draft: Full two-round mock draft with aggressive trades
1. Chicago Bears - Caleb Williams, QB, USC
Don’t mess this up, Chicago. If Caleb Williams is a home run pick, the Bears could easily find themselves in the playoffs in 2024, especially if the defense can continue to play as well as they did to end the 2023 season.
2. Washington Commanders - Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Jayden Daniels seems to be the pick here for the Washington Commanders, and with them not having any sort of young QB on the roster, this is the logical pick here. I personally think Drake Maye is the better option, but I’m not an NFL general manager.
3. New England Patriots - Drake Maye, QB, UNC
Mac Jones could not replace Tom Brady, so the New England Patriots look to reset again at QB and should draft Drake Maye with the third overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Maye is a bit raw, but most of the “raw” QBs that have come into the NFL recently have ended up being stud players.
4. Minnesota Vikings (via ARI) - JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan
Trade! It is the Minnesota Vikings who make a big trade up, and they’ll take JJ McCarthy with the 4th overall pick. The Vikings had to send their 11th and 23rd overall picks to the Cardinals, plus more future picks, to get this trade up completed.

5. Los Angeles Chargers - Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State
It’s hard to pass up on Marvin Harrison Jr if he falls to the 5th overall pick. The Chargers did part ways with both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams at WR this offseason, so they have a huge need at the position.
6. New York Giants - Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
Finally, the New York Giants bring in someone who can be a true WR1 at the next level. I have no clue who ends up being the long-term QB for the Giants, but they won’t look to address that position just yet.
7. Tennessee Titans - Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State
Titans GM Ran Carthon signed center Lloyd Cushenberry in free agency this offseason, and should continue to add to the offensive line by drafting Olu Fashanu with the 7th overall pick. He is a day one starter at the position.
8. Atlanta Falcons - Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
After making huge investments on offense, the Atlanta Falcons first-round selection should be used to fix their EDGE room, which lacks a ton of talent on paper. Dallas Turner can be a 10+ sack player at the next level.
9. Chicago Bears - Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
The Bears do have a fine left tackle in Braxton Jones, but why not immediately upgrade the position with Joe Alt? Alt comes from a fantastic OL school in Notre Dame, so he projects nicely at the next level.
10. New York Jets - Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
After fixing the offensive line in free agency, the New York Jets decide to pass on a first-round tackle and will take TE Brock Bowers from Georgia, giving Aaron Rodgers a nice second weapon next to Garrett Wilson.
11. Arizona Cardinals (via MIN) - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
With one of the first-round picks they got from trading down with the Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals take a very good WR in Malik Nabers. He comes from LSU, so like Alt and Notre Dame, LSU is known for producing NFL-ready wide receivers like Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Jarvis Landry, and Odell Beckham, Jr.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (via DEN) - Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
Trade! The Denver Broncos trade down with the Eagles, and the Eagles come up to select CB Terrion Arnold. New Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had a ton of success with another first-round CB from Alabama in Patrick Surtain II.
13. Las Vegas Raiders - Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
The Raiders look to beef up their offensive line with Taliese Fuaga, using the 13th overall pick to select him. Will the Raiders address their QB room later on?
14. New Orleans Saints - Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
The New Orleans Saints need another tackle in the building, and they are in luck, as the 2024 NFL Draft is chock full of high-quality tackle prospects. They opt to take Amarius Mims from Georgia with the 14th pick.
15. Indianapolis Colts - Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
Rumors had it that the Indianapolis Colts were interested in L’Jarius Sneed, so they clearly want to add to their CB room. Well, Quinyon Mitchell is there for them with the 15th overall pick, and the Colts waste no time bringing him on board.
16. Seattle Seahawks - Jackson Powers-Johnson, OC, Oregon
The best interior offensive lineman in the 2024 NFL Draft, Jackson Powers-Johnson could end up being one of the best centers in football in his rookie season. He’s that good.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars - Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Arik Armstead in free agency and also did boost their iOL a bit, so they’ll turn their attention back to the defensive line and take Johnny Newton with their first-round pick.
18. Cincinnati Bengals - Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU
How about another first-round wide receiver from LSU for the Bengals? Tee Higgins requested a trade, and I think it makes the most sense to ship Higgins off to a new team and reset at the WR2 position with Brian Thomas Jr.
19. Los Angeles Rams - Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
Adding more young talent to the defense, the Rams draft the agile Laiatu Latu from UCLA, perhaps starting the process to lessen the blow of Aaron Donald’s retirement.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers - Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
The Pittsburgh Steelers brought two QBs on board who each take a ton of sacks, and with them already having a need along the offensive line, Troy Fautanu makes sense here. Fautanu might be able to play both guard and tackle at the next level.
21. Miami Dolphins - Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas
Losing Christian Wilkins in free agency surely hurt, but they can draft Byron Murphy II to replace him and try to make up for the great production that Wilkins brought them during his time in Miami.
22. Denver Broncos (via PHI) - Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
The Denver Broncos traded down with the Eagles, and they draft Bo Nix with the 22nd overall pick. This is a perfect scenario for Denver, as they also net a second-rounder in the trade down deal. Sean Payton got his QB.
23. Arizona Cardinals (via MIN) - Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
The Cardinals continue to stack young talent on their roster and bring in some much needed juice off the EDGE with Jared Verse from Florida State. The Cardinals could be a breakout team in 2024.
24. Dallas Cowboys - JC Latham, OT, Alabama
Losing Tyron Smith in free agency hurt, and yes JC Latham plays right tackle, but I do think the Cowboys can shuffle their OL to make Latham work. He’s too good of a prospect to pass up.
25. Green Bay Packers - Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
Nate Wiggins comes into the Green Bay Packers secondary that signed safety Xavier McKinney in free agency, and it doesn’t look like Jaire Alexander’s future is very clear in Green Bay.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State
Losing Shaq Barrett gives the Buccaneers a need off the EDGE, so they’ll look to draft Chop Robinson from Penn State. Robinson is an exceptional athlete.
27. Arizona Cardinals - Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
Stacking even more talent, the Cardinals will have added CB Sean Murphy-Bunting in free agency and Kool-Aid McKinstry in the 2024 NFL Draft. Did I mention that the Cardinals could be a breakout team in 2024?
28. Buffalo Bills - Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
Signing Curtis Samuel in free agency should not take the Bills out of the running for a first-round WR, especially with Stefon Diggs getting older. Keon Coleman can help in the present and future for the Bills.
29. Detroit Lions - Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
More firepower on offense; the Lions can make a luxury draft selection since they again had a strong free agency period. Adonai Mitchell comes into an explosive offense with a chance to immediately produce.
30. Baltimore Ravens - Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma
Trading Morgan Moses to the New York Jets opens up the right tackle spot for Tyler Guyton to come in and fill. Guyton gets the pleasure of protecting Lamar Jackson to begin his NFL career.
31. San Francisco 49ers - Graham Barton, OG, Duke
The 49ers need an iOL boost, so Graham Barton makes sense for them with the 31st overall pick. I could also see them trying to draft a CB or DL with this first pick as well.
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas
The Kansas City Chiefs adding the fastest man in NFL Combine history makes sense to me. After adding Hollywood Brown in free agency, the Chiefs double-dip at WR and draft Xavier Worthy from Texas.
Second Round
33. Carolina Panthers - Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
Still needing another pass-catcher, Ladd McConkey could have a huge target share in Carolina to begin his NFL career.
34. New England Patriots - Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona
Re-signing Mike Onwenu was a wise move, and now the Patriots look to find their franchise LT in Jordan Morgan.
35. Arizona Cardinals - Christian Haynes, OG, UConn
The two tackle spots seem settled in Arizona, so the Cardinals beef up their interior with Christian Haynes from UConn.
36. Washington Commanders - Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU
With Charles Leno no longer in the picture, the Commanders have a glaring need at tackle.
37. Los Angeles Chargers - T’Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas
Drafting Marvin Harrison Jr in the first round was a wise move, so now the Chargers look to add to their defensive line with T’Vondre Sweat at the top of the second round.
38. Tennessee Titans - Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas State
So now, the Titans have added Olu Fashanu, Lloyd Cushenberry, and now Cooper Beebe along the offensive line for Will Levis.
39. Carolina Panthers - Ja’Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas
Adding two play-makers on offense with their first two picks, Ja’Tavion Sanders and Ladd McConkey could actually put the finishing touches on this group on offense for Carolina.
40. Indianapolis Colts (via WAS) - Cooper DeJean, S, Iowa
Trade! The Colts again look to add to their secondary with do-it-all DB Cooper DeJean from Iowa.
41. Green Bay Packers - Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M
The Green Bay Packers offense is probably a better bet to enjoy strong success than the defense, so I think adding talent to that unit in the 2024 NFL Draft is a wise move.
42. Houston Texans - Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson
With a formidable pass-rush duo of Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr, the Texans triple-down, if you will, with Ruke Orhorhor from Clemson.
43. Atlanta Falcons - TJ Tampa, CB, Iowa State
Two picks on the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons have added the necessary talent on their defense to field a complete football team in 2024 and beyond.
44. New York Giants (via LVR) - Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington
Trade! The New York Giants decide that they want to give Michael Penix Jr a try, so they trade up with the Las Vegas Raiders in order to do so.
45. New Orleans Saints - Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
Troy Franklin is the pick for the New Orleans Saints with their second-round pick. Can the Saints make the playoffs in 2024 with Derek Carr under center?
46. Washington Commanders (via IND) - Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia
The Commanders traded down a few slots and will add Kamari Lassiter from Georgia into a Dan Quinn defense.
47. Las Vegas Raiders (via NYG) - Leonard Taylor III, DT, Miami (FL)
The Raiders accept the trade down offer and will now feature Christian Wilkins, Maxx Crosby, and Leonard Taylor III along their defensive line.
48. Jacksonville Jaguars - Ennis Rakestraw Jr, CB, Missouri
Even with adding CB Ronald Darby in free agency, the Jags could double-down at the position with Ennis Rakestraw Jr from Missouri.
49. Cincinnati Bengals - Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky
Two-straight wide receiver selections from the Cincinnati Bengals? Well, with Tyler Boyd likely not coming back and the possibility that Tee Higgins gets dealt, it does make some sense.
50. Denver Broncos (via PHI) - Darius Robinson, EDGE, Missouri
The Denver Broncos use their newly acquired second-round pick to land a very good EDGE prospect, giving the team some much needed boost along the defensive line.
51. Pittsburgh Steelers - Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, Washington
The Steelers do have a huge need at wide receiver, so Ja’Lynn Polk will get the chance to catch passes from Russell Wilson.
52. Los Angeles Rams - Adisa Isaac, EDGE, Penn State
Another pass rusher? Why not! You can never have too many good ones.
53. Philadelphia Eagles - Zach Frazier - OC, West Virginia
Zach Frazier will probably never fill the hole left by Jason Kelce, but man, it’s hard for the Eagles to pass him up at 53.
54. Cleveland Browns - Michael Hall Jr, DT, Ohio State
The Cleveland Browns have a strong offensive line and have the personnel on offense to be a very good unit. They could use some DL help to perhaps put the finishing touches on this roster.
55. Detroit Lions (via MIA) - Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota
Trade! The Detroit Lions add Tyler Nubin into their secondary by making a trade with the Miami Dolphins.
56. Dallas Cowboys - Will Shipley, RB, Clemson
A running back? Well to be fair, the Cowboys do not have a true RB1 on the roster at this moment in time.
57. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sedrick Van Pran, OC, Georgia
Re-signing Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield strongly indicates that the Buccaneers want to run this thing back in 2024, and they need some iOL help.
58. Green Bay Packers - Roger Rosengarten, OT, Washington
Maybe a bit of an overdrafting here, Roger Rosengarten could play both left and right tackle, so his development in the NFL is huge.
59. Houston Texans - Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina
Another weapon for CJ Stroud. At this point, the Houston Texans are becoming unfair
60. Buffalo Bills - Chris Braswell, EDGE, Alabama
It’s a youth movement on defense in Buffalo, as the Bills add a young pass rusher from Alabama.
61. Miami Dolphins (via DET) - Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State
Adding Jonnu Smith in free agency is a fine short-term option, but the Dolphins do need to get a potential long-term solution at TE in the NFL Draft.
62. Baltimore Ravens - Max Melton, CB, Rutgers
Losing Ronald Darby in free agency was actually something that hurts the Ravens defense quite a bit, so I think they could add a CB in the 2024 NFL Draft.
63. San Francisco 49ers - Bralen Trice, EDGE, Washington
The 49ers keeping their defensive front strong will also keep them among the elite in the NFL.
64. Kansas City Chiefs - Caelan Carson, CB, Wake Forest
The Chiefs trading L’Jarius Sneed does open up a need at CB, so they’ll take Caelan Carson at the bottom of the second round.
This full, two-round mock draft could give you an early look into what teams will do when the 2024 NFL Draft rolls around. In the NFL, it doesn’t matter how aggressive a team is in free agency; not being able to bring in quality talent in the NFL Draft is going to keep a team circling the drain.
Fallout from this 2024 NFL Mock Draft
All of the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants take huge swings on quarterbacks in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. The top three picks are of no surprise; Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye are locked in, as far as I’m concerned.
The Vikings make a bold trade up to the 4th overall pick, where Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah takes a swing on the young and talented JJ McCarthy. The next QB off the board came in the early-20s, as the Denver Broncos trade down 10 picks and land Bo Nix.
The Eagles traded up to Denver’s top pick, and in turn, sent Denver a second-rounder.
The first non-quarterback off the board was Marvin Harrison Jr, who fell into the LA Chargers lap with the 5th overall pick. With pick six, the New York Giants select their future WR1 in Rome Odunze. With the 10th overall pick, the Jets decide to not trade down and to not even take a tackle, as they opt to draft Brock Bowers from Georgia.
Will this two-round 2024 NFL Mock Draft turn into the real deal next month?
