The 2024 NFL Draft could end up being one that changes the league in a big way in the future. In this mock draft, there is utter chaos in the top 10. I don't think there is any indication as to what could happen in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Even though Caleb Williams is largely seen as the future No. 1 overall pick there is no guaranteeing anything at this point.

With numerous teams picking inside the top 10 needing franchise quarterbacks, we could end up seeing a ton of action within those top picks. I think ever since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots following the 2019 NFL Season, teams have upped their aggression in finding franchise passers. Ever since Brady left, there have been a plethora of other major QB moves across the NFL.

And the 2024 NFL Draft could be another version of that. Let's put together a top 10 mock draft filled with utter chaos.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Utter chaos in the top 10
1. Minnesota Vikings (via CHI) - Caleb Williams, QB, USC

The first major move is the Minnesota Vikings trading all the way up from the 11th overall pick. Here is what they had to give up to make the massive move:

Yeah, a total haul for the Chicago Bears. Now, Chicago finds themselves with the 9th and 11th overall picks in this mock draft. For Minnesota, they make the obvious move and select Caleb Williams, finally taking a swing on a young QB. Kirk Cousins leaves in free agency, and the Vikings make a bold move to position themselves for the future.

2. Washington Commanders - Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

In a shocking turn of events, the Washington Commanders stay put with their first-round pick and do not select a QB, but instead select Joe Alt, one of the best offensive tackle prospects in this year's draft. Alt gives the Commanders a blindside protector for a decade, as the team looks to go in a different direction with their QB situation.

3. New England Patriots - Drake Maye, QB, UNC

The New England Patriots somehow don't have to lift a finger and still are able to land Drake Maye. Let's not overthink it here; the Patriots roster is thoroughly awful, but the QB is the most urgent need. Getting this position right will have huge ripple effects on the rest of the roster. There is no need to go OT or WR with this pick if a top QB is on the board.

4. Arizona Cardinals - Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, OSU

I think Marvin Harrison Jr to the Arizona Cardinals is a safe bet in my opinion. The Cardinals do have a franchise QB in Kyler Murray but need to surround him with more weapons. Overall, the Cards roster is seriously void of talent, and depending on who you ask, Harrison might be the best football player in the 2024 NFL Draft, which is definitely saying something.

5. Los Angeles Chargers - Olu Fashanu, OT, PSU

The Los Angeles Chargers make a very Jim Harbaugh pick and decide to fortify their offensive line with Olu Fashanu, who will play right tackle for the team. The Chargers could potentially have their tackle positions solidified for the future as Harbaugh implements his vision for the team.

6. New York Giants - Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

The New York Giants could easily take a top wide receiver here, but they look to the tight end spot and draft Bowers, a true unicorn at the position. The Giants do not have a franchise QB at the moment, so that could be a selection they make here, but they bank on Daniel Jones one last time to see if he can establish himself as such in the NFL.

7. Tennessee Titans - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

The Tennessee Titans need a ton of help on offense, and with Brian Callahan as their new head coach, replacing Mike Vrabel, Callahan will surely pound the table for a top offensive prospect in the first round. The Titans give Will Levis a legitimate shot to be the franchise QB and draft Malik Nabers out of LSU.

LSU has been a factory for wide receivers, so it's definitely a wise move to bet on someone like Nabers at the next level.

8. Atlanta Falcons - Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Two-straight offensive selections from LSU, as the Atlanta Falcons get Jayden Daniels. In year one under Raheem Morris, the team's new head coach, they take a huge swing on a QB. Honestly, the Falcons roster is pretty solid; GM Terry Fontenot has done a nice job at building the core up, but still needs to get the franchise QB figured out.

9. Las Vegas Raiders (via CHI) - JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan

The Las Vegas Raiders trade up four selections in the 2024 NFL Draft and select JJ McCarthy from Michigan. The Chicago Bears again move down in the draft, as GM Ryan Poles continues to stack picks. With the recent news of Jimmy Garoppolo's suspension and eventual release, the Raiders clearly need to invest in a young QB, so they make a modest trade with the Bears and come away with JJ McCarthy.

10. New York Jets - JC Latham, OT, Alabama

I don't think the New York Jets should take a wide receiver with this pick. I think shoring up their offensive line might be the single most urgent need of any team this coming offseason. Aaron Rodgers has a stranglehold on the franchise, so they are stuck with him for another year or two. The Jets offensive line was dreadfully bad in 2023, so adding a top OT prospect to play right tackle is a wise move.
