Another week, another 2025 NFL mock draft! In our latest mock, we roll out a full first round and include a major surprise at the top. It's always mock draft season here at NFL Spin Zone. For our latest mock, we'll use the current first-round order and use nflmockdraftdatabase.com for this mock itself.

And we'll create this mock before Thursday Night Football so each NFL team still has four games played. At this point, even through just one-quarter of the 2024 NFL Season, it's become pretty obvious which teams will end up struggling for most of the season.

The franchise QB eludes some of these squads as they try to make due with below-average passers. We may again see a ton of quarterbacks go early in the 2025 NFL Draft, but from what I have been able to gather, the talent at the top-end of the draft is not nearly as good as it was in 2024. Let's roll out our latest NFL mock draft with a major surprise at the top.

2025 NFL mock draft: Full first-round mock with major surprise at the top
1. Jacksonville Jaguars - Will Campbell, OT LSU

The 0-4 Jacksonville Jaguars are the last remaining winless team in the NFL through four games. It's been a season to forget for the Jags, and this comes after again spending a ton of money in the offseason and inking QB Trevor Lawrence to a $275 million deal. While the issues with the Jags are not all Lawrence's fault, he's certainly not played nearly as well as some had hoped.

Head coach Doug Pederson also seems to be on his way out unless something major changes immediately. The Jaguars definitely need some offensive line help, so at pick no. 1 in this NFL mock draft, they'll go and get one of the best plug-and-play tackle prospects in sometime in Will Campbell.

Campbell should come in and immediately lock down the LT spot which should also make life that much easier for Lawrence. The Jaguars would still need, in my opinion, at least one more solid starter along their offensive line, but Campbell is a great start.

2. Miami Dolphins - Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

Surprise! A quarterback for the Miami Dolphins? Yep. The Dolphins clearly miss Tua Tagovailoa, as they have turned into perhaps the worst team in the NFL without him in the lineup. Tagovailoa has suffered multiple concussions at the NFL level, and some have said that he should retire to save his brain, which makes sense.

Well, even with the Dolphins inking Tagovailoa to a four-year extension over the offseason, they get an insurance policy in Carson Beck, one of the best QBs in the nation and someone who could sit a year or two in Miami. It just does not feel like Tua Tagovailoa is going to last much longer with this franchise.

3. New England Patriots - Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

The New England Patriots are a hot mess, but they're rebuilding, so it's OK. The team made the right move in the 2024 NFL Draft by taking QB Drake Maye, a passer who probably does need a year to sit and work on his mechanics. Last draft cycle, I saw a lot of people comparing Maye to Justin Herbert, so perhaps the Pats struck gold here.

They also took a couple of rookie wide receivers but are largely still a mess and may struggle to win one, maybe two more games the rest of the way. Their most urgent need heading into the 2025 NFL Draft should be to protect Maye, who I would imagine will be the QB1 when next year rolls around.

Getting a potential franchise left tackle could be huge, so in this NFL mock draft, Kelvin Banks from Texas is coming to New England to lock down the left side for years to come. De-facto GM Eliot Wolf should spend this coming offseason totally re-making the Pats' offenive line.

He could also bump Mike Onwenu back to guard and perhaps grab another iOL in free agency. This has to be the path forward for New England next offseason or Drake Maye will be ruined.

4. Cincinnati Bengals - James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee

Let's not overthink the Cincinnati Bengals; this offense is fine, Joe Burrow is fine, and that unit is overall in lovely shape. Their defense cannot stop a nosebleed and just cannot get consistent pressure. Beefing up the pass rush next offseason has to be the Bengals' top priority, so at pick four, I drafted James Pearce Jr to Cincy, which I am sure the defense would love.

Pearce Jr is a menace and gets into the backfield with ease. The team may end up not picking close to four, as they are 1-3 but do have some winnable games left. The Bengals also tend to start slower, so it would be a shock if they picked inside the top-5, but that's the current order of the 2025 NFL Draft before Week 5 kicks off.

James Pearce Jr would take the defensive front to another level for the Cincinnati Bengals.

5. Cleveland Browns - Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL)

Let’s get freaky here.  The Cleveland Browns need to put an end to the Deshaun Watson experiment on the field, but the financial fallout from them somehow moving on from his contract will be historic.  It’s unclear what the Browns plan on doing with Watson’s deal, but they must lay the groundwork to eventually move on from it.  This is probably a lost season, so the Browns could begin by being sellers at the deadline.

Getting some cap relief and draft picks back could help in moving on from Watson, who has not been a good QB for years now. They could also reset at the position in the 2025 NFL Draft with Cameron Ward from Miami (FL).  In the meantime, the Browns could focus on getting younger on both sides of the ball, rebuilding their WR room, and overhauling their offensive line, which is all of a sudden an issue.

Do not be surprised to see the Browns get aggressive to try and start over after Deshaun Watson.

6. Tennessee Titans - Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

Another quarterback?  Yes.  Thus far, Will Levis looks like a disaster and awfully too reckless to make it as a franchise QB in the NFL.  And the coaching staff that oversaw the Titans taking Levis is not there anymore.  Titans’ head coach Brian Callahan isn’t joined at the top to Levis in that regard, so it would not surprise me to see Tennessee target a first-round QB.

They did beat the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, but that isn’t saying much.  Texas QB Quinn Ewers figures to hear his named called quite early in the 2025 NFL Draft, and playing for an offensive-minded coach like Brian Callahan could be great for the Titans and their franchise.

The Will Levis era may be short lived for the Tennessee Titans, who are 1-3 on the year thus far.

7. Carolina Panthers - Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Three-straight quarterbacks taken to begin the 2025 NFL Draft.  It’s not a surprise.  The Carolina Panthers shockingly benched Bryce Young after just two games and their offense has been significantly better since then.  Andy Dalton has been their starter since and may end up starting the rest of the 2024 NFL Season.  I could see a scenario where Dalton hangs around in 2025 and the Panthers again try to take a first-round QB.

Dalton being a one-year bridge/mentor could be perfect, as there aren’t many more experienced QBs remaining in the NFL than the Red Rifle, who has been very good for Carolina thus far.  They’ll take Jalen Milroe from Alabama at pick seven in this NFL mock draft.  It could be a controversial move, as Bryce Young was taken from Alabama, and the history of QBs in the NFL who went to Alabama is not great.

Tua Tagovailoa has been a good pick, but he can’t stay consistently healthy.  Could Jalen Milroe buck the trend here and turn into a great QB from Alabama?  Well, if Andy Dalton can produce in this offense and with this coaching staff, that may bode well for Milroe.

8. Los Angeles Rams - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The Los Angeles Rams have endured an insane amount of injuries through the first four games of the 2024 NFL Season.  Yo honestly have to feel bad for them.  If it were up to me, LA would simply blow this thing up, trade some veterans including Matthew Stafford, and rebuild through the 2025 NFL Draft.

I have a feeling that won’t happen, but one area where LA does need to improve is at WR.  Cooper Kupp can’t stay healthy, and I’m sure Sean McVay would love another producer at the position next to Puka Nacua, who is also hurt.

Tetairoa McMillian is one of the most physically dominant players in the coming NFL Draft class and could be a perfect compliment to Nacua for the future.  Matthew Stafford can still play at a high level, but the Rams will need to address their QB position sooner rather than later.

9. Arizona Cardinals - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Who the heck knows what position Travis Hunter plays in the NFL.  It truly would not shock me to see Hunter himself wanting to play both and getting that opportunity at times.  He is a legit first-round prospect at both wide receiver and cornerback, which is just bonkers.  The 1-3 Arizona Cardinals definitely need more roster talent but have a good foundation in place.

I am high on this team and still think they win more games than you think in the 2024 NFL Season.  Kyler Murray is a legit QB and the defense has some dudes, but GM Monti Ossenfort inherited a roster totally devoid of talent, so he simply needs to get another offseason under his belt.

The Cardinals’ defense is definitely the more urgent area to improve, and with Jonathan Gannon, their head coach, having a defensive background, I could see him vouching for someone like Travis Hunter at pick nine, which is where the Cardinals would pick if the 2025 NFL Draft began after Week 4.

10. New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Shedeur Sanders on the New York Giants just feels right, doesn’t it?  Sanders, for all of the attention he and his father bring, is a legitimate NFL prospect and has a ton of great aspects to his game.  He’s dealt with some poor Colorado offensive lines so he’s been able to develop some incredible pocket awareness.

If you ask me and probably many other people, Sanders, his father, and the football team need to tone down the theatrics a bit, but they’ve got some players on this team.  It’s very likely that Hunter and Sanders are no worse than top-10 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

And the Giants need a franchise QB.  It’s actually insane that Daniel Jones has made it to year six as their starter.  That is a huge indictment on how inept the Giants’ front office is.  They must get this right in the coming NFL Draft if they want to sustain success in the NFL.

11. Indianapolis Colts - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

I just wonder about the Indianapolis Colts.  Second-year QB Anthony Richardson is struggling to complete basic passes.  He struggles to complete half of his passes, which is insane.  At some point, a QB has to be so raw that the development is impossible, right?  Could that be where Richardson is headed?

Who knows.  If the Colts are still bought in on the QB, they could target another huge need in the 2025 NFL Draft and take the best CB in the country in Will Johnson at pick 11.  It’s odd that General Manager Chris Ballard did not do more in the secondary this offseason.  Ballard has an odd trend of not being aggressive enough in free agency if you ask me.

The Colts have a solid roster and are good in the trenches, but do have a long-term question at QB with Anthony Richardson and also desperately need some help in the secondary, so Will Johnson feels like the right pick here.

12. Los Angeles Chargers - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

The Los Angeles Chargers taking yet another player that Jim Harbaugh has coached at Michigan seems right.  With a few players like that already on the roster, Mason Graham becomes yet another and is someone who does understand the culture that Harbaugh wants to set and the high expectations that come from it.

Graham also happens to be the best defensive lineman in the country, so this isn’t some throw-away pick here.  LA lacks high-end talent on both sides of the ball and needs another offseason or two to button up the holes on their roster.  The Chargers are 2-2 after two-straight losses, and a weird tidbit here is that QB Justin Herbert has not yet thrown for 200 yards in game in 2024.

The Chargers need some DL help and need to surround Herbert with some actual playmakers.

13. New Orleans Saints - Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The New Orleans Saints got off to a wicked 2-0 start and genuinely felt like the best team in the NFL.  They’re now 2-2 and feel like the most average team in the NFL, so that’s probably right where they should be.  The issue with the Saints is their long-term cap space is a disaster and their roster is definitely on the older side with some of the key positions.

With a slew of long-term needs on the roster, the Saints should look at themselves in the mirror and acknowledge that this current set-up is not going to work for the long-term, so they should embrace selling at the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline and getting some youth in the building.

At pick 13 in this 2025 NFL mock draft, the Saints will take Mykel Williams, a pass-rusher from Georgia.  The second-most important thing on an NFL roster after getting the franchise QB right is having the ability to get to the QB, but with a first-round QB out of reach, the Saints get a pass-rusher.

Could New Orleans hand the keys over to Spencer Rattler in 2025 and move on from Derek Carr?

14. Dallas Cowboys - Luther Burden, WR, Missouri

The Dallas Cowboys getting a WR like Luther Burden in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is probably want Jerry Jones dreams of.  The team definitely needs to improve at running back and also needs to bring in another wide receiver.  Well, if you ask me, WR is a much more efficient use of a first-round pick than a running back.

Burden is in the mold of guys like Deebo Samuel and Ja’Marr Chase, so he could end up being one of the most explosive players in the NFL someday.  The Cowboys could also use some help along their offensive line and definitely need to figure out how to stop the run.

Depending on how Dallas finishes this season, they could bring some huge change to the franchise.

15. Chicago Bears - Emery Jones Jr, OT, LSU

The Chicago Bears need some offensive line help, and it’s actually odd to say that.  Bears’ GM Ryan Poles was once an offensive lineman himself.  Chicago definitely has a decent structure in place at their playmaking positions and may also have a franchise QB in the building with Caleb Williams.

It’s now time for Poles to get a bit more smart with the GM moves he makes.  Improving the offensive line in free agency is a must.  The Bears could use two new starters at guard and center and could also use another tackle, and I would guess that regardless of who is coaching the Bears in 2025, the OL looks a lot different.

They can take Emery Jones Jr at pick 15 in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Poles is done being cute with his moves and is going to do what it takes to protect Caleb Williams, who is going to decide his job for the future.  Offensive line picks are never sexy, but they’re mostly always smart.

16. Green Bay Packers - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Green Bay Packers are 2-2 after the first four games in the 2024 NFL Season and are oddly 0-2 with Jordan Love starting and 2-0 with Malik Willis starting.  Love is obviously their franchise QB and was given a huge extension this past offseason.  The Packers seem a bit more established on offense and could use the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft to bolster their defense and move on from some aging veterans.

Could Jaire Alexander be out the door after the 2024 NFL Season?  It would not shock me.  The Packers could reset with Benjamin Morrison from Notre Dame, who should be the second cornerback off the board and very much a first-round pick.

The Packers have one of the youngest teams in the NFL and should keep the youth movement going.

17. San Francisco 49ers - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

One of the huge reasons why the San Francisco 49ers have been good for years now is that they always put a huge emphasis on the defensive trenches.  Their offensive lines have typically always been solid as well, but their D-Line is always among the best.  The Niners again re-did their defensive line this past offseason, but them and the entire unit is not off to a great start.

In this NFL mock draft, we have them taking an EDGE rusher in Abdul Carter from Penn State. With how many large contracts the 49ers currently have on the roster, it’ll get increasingly harder to keep their in-house players while also making smart free agency decisions.  That leaves them being forced to hit on players in the NFL Draft.

Carter could pair with Nick Bosa and form a nice pass-rush duo for the Niners.  The big item on their to-do list this coming offseason is to extend QB Brock Purdy, who could become the highest player in NFL history depending on if he can eclipse the $60 million per year mark.

18. Baltimore Ravens - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Baltimore Ravens make it two pass rushers in a row in the first round of this NFL mock draft.  The Ravens had an interesting offseason if you ask me.  They traded a very good right tackle in Morgan Moses to the New York Jets for pennies and also let a solid guard in John Simpson depart in FA as well.

But hey, at least they have Derrick Henry!  Their biggest loss was no player but rather their former defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, who is now the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.  I believe the Ravens will end up making a huge effort to improve the defense this coming offseason, so they could target someone like Nic Scourton in the 2025 NFL Draft to help them deal with the loss of Macdonald, which is already being felt.

19. Philadelphia Eagles - Jonah Savaiinaea, iOL, Arizona

I mean, what are we doing here guys?  The Philadelphia Eagles are a mess.  This team is among the most talented in the NFL but are clearly suffering from horrible coaching.  Nick Sirianni is not someone who is going to be around for the long-term at this rate, and I would even take a step further and suggest that QB Jalen Hurts is just not all that good.

The Eagles are in deep trouble being that two of their weakest points are the head coach and quarterback.  It’s a bit of a puzzle to figure out what position Philly should take in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.  I guess they could hit on the offensive line?  Jonah Savaiinaea may end up settling into guard at the next level.

Philly may not be ready to accept that Jalen Hurts is not going to be a long-term answer, and being that they just signed him to a long-term deal a couple of offseasons ago, they’re surely focused on improving their roster overall before needing to have a hard look in the mirror about Hurts, who is in his fifth season and is on pace to have yet another pedestrian year through the air.

20. New York Jets - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

The New York Jets may end up swinging a trade for Davante Adams, and by the time this mock draft goes up on Sunday morning, he may be a Jet.  You just have to wonder if the Jets’ offense can sustain anything with Nathaniel Hackett still in the building.  New York may end up getting Adams and they could continue hammering away at the offense in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Colston Loveland is the best TE in the country and should be the first tight end off the board in this coming NFL Draft.  Rodgers would likely head into the 2025 NFL Season with all of Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams, and Colston Loveland to throw to, along with having Breece Hall and Braelon Allen in the backfield.

Man, I’m not even sure Nathaniel Hackett can mess that up.

21. Las Vegas Raiders - Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

The Las Vegas Raiders feel like an 0-4 team given how dysfunctional the team has been thus far in the 2024 NFL Season.  Their best offensive player, WR Davante Adams, has officially requested a trade and won’t play in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos.  The Raiders also overpaid for QB Gardner Minshew and DT Christian Wilkins in free agency.

Vegas also neglected to take a first-round QB, which was a mistake, and probably should not have hired Antonio Pierce to be their full-time head coach.  The Raiders need a QB in the worst way but aren’t able to get one in this NFL mock draft, so at pick 21, they nab Aireontae Ersery, a tackle from Minnesota.

I guess the least they can do until they find the QB is beef up the offensive line.  There is never anything wrong with that.  The Raiders are entering one of the more interesting offseasons the team has seen in quite some time.

22. Denver Broncos - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The Denver Broncos could most definitely stand to add more juice to their running back room, which features Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin.  They took Audric Estime in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, so they may not be willing to take a RB in the first round, but Ashton Jeanty out of Boise State is not from this planet.  Furthermore, Broncos’ head coach Sean Payton has always invested heavily into his RB room, especially during his time with the Saints.

I could see Denver targeting an RB early on, especially since they have a young QB in Bo Nix they want to develop.  This could be a match made in heaven, as Jeanty could take a load off of Nix, who has the Broncos at 2-2 through four games in the 2024 NFL Season.

The Broncos most definitely need more playmaking help as well.  This team could also use their first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on a wide receiver.  Tight end is another need for Denver, but that may not be the most wise use of a first-round pick, especially since Denver did not have their first-rounders in 2022 and 2023.

Denver may also need a left tackle, as Garett Bolles is set to be a free agent in 2025.

23. Atlanta Falcons - Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky

The Atlanta Falcons’ draft slot in the first round could change, as they play on Thursday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but we whipped up this mock draft before Week 5 began.  The Falcons made a bold move in the 2024 NFL Draft to take QB Michael Penix Jr at pick eight, and they did this after signing Kirk Cousins in free agency, so the move was a bit unpopular to some.

However, it may have been a genius move, especially when you consider how many backup QBs end up playing, and Cousins is in his age-36 season, so he isn’t playing forever.  Penix may not see the field as the full-time starter until a few years down the line, but in the meantime, Falcons’ GM Terry Fontenot can continue improving the roster until Penix’s time comes.

They’ll take Deone Walker in the first round of this NFL mock draft.  Walker can help Atlanta get a lot younger along the defensive line, which is something they need.  The team did go all-in this offseason on defense, notably signing safety Justin Simmons and trading for EDGE Matthew Judon.

24. Detroit Lions - Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

The Detroit Lions could use another wide receiver, so why not Isaiah Bond from Texas?  Through four games, the Lions are 3-1 and definitely have dealt with some struggles.  The defense still seems to be figuring themselves out, and it this point this may be an obvious coaching issue.

The Lions’ offense did break out a bit in Week 4, but the team could use another young playmaker.  You do have to wonder if this team hit their ceiling in 2023.  They made it to the NFC Championship Game, but is the duo of Dan Campbell and Jared Goff enough for the Lions to make it to the Super Bowl this season?

25. Washington Commanders - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

How about Jayden Daniels?  The Washington Commanders not only may have their QB for the next decade, but I am not sure Daniels isn’t the best QB in the NFC East right now.  And heck, the Commanders should be looked at as the best team in the division as well.  Sure, this offensive high they are on with Daniels could most certainly wear off in the coming weeks, but this feels sustainable to me.

If Daniels ends up being a hit and keeps this up, the Commanders will have the biggest advantage in all of sports: a QB on his rookie deal.  This affords any franchise so much more flexibility to make some all-in moves.  Well, Washington could use another wide receiver and already has one stud WR from Ohio State, so why not add another?

Emeka Egbuka could be the next great OSU wide receiver to make it big in the NFL, and him playing next to Terry McLaurin could help ease him into the NFL and develop a reliable connection with Jayden Daniels, who should firmly be in the MVP talks, not just the Rookie of the Year talks.

The Commanders are firing on all cylinders.

26. Buffalo Bills - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Buffalo Bills may be a bit better than some expected in 2024.  They did get blown out by the Baltimore Ravens but should still have enough roster talent to again make the postseason, but they don’t feel like a Super Bowl contender to me.  Buffalo has had to do a bit of a re-tooling this offseason to figure out their cap situation and get a bit younger on both sides of the ball.

In this NFL mock draft, they take Malaki Starks, a very good safety from Georgia.  Buffalo plays in the AFC with a ton of very good QBs, and they’ve always had reliable secondary play, so this pick would make a lot of sense for the team.

As of now, Buffalo seems to be deep in the Davante Adams sweepstakes, but I don’t believe they’d be making a great move by swinging that trade.  They should seek to get younger and cheaper.

27. Seattle Seahawks - Tyleik Williams, DL Ohio State

The Seattle Seahawks are 3-1 on the season but lost their first true test of the 2024 NFL Season in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions.  It wasn’t really close an Seattle’s ceiling is obvious with Geno Smith and a rookie head coach.  They hired Mike Macdonald in 2024, who was a stud defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens for a couple of season.

With Macdonald being a vibrant, defensive-minded head coach, it would not surprise me to see them again hammer the defense in the NFL Draft.  Well, Tyleik Williams is available for them at pick 27 in this mock draft, so GM John Schneider is all over it.  While Seattle continues to add to their defense and perhaps fixes their offensive line, they are at the same time laying the groundwork to bring in a long-term option at QB.

To me, this thinking makes sense and could be where Seattle is at as we head toward the second-quarter of the 2024 NFL Season.  Would another defensive tackle be a good idea for Seattle?

28. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kenneth Grant, DL Michigan

The second first-round defensive tackle from Michigan is off the board in Kenneth Grant, who heads to the Pittsburgh Steelers at pick 28 in this NFL mock draft.  Pittsburgh is in an interesting situation and could be tricked into thinking Justin Fields is a viable option for the long-term.  They are 3-1 through four games and Fields has done just barely enough on offense.

The offense as a whole is not good and Fields is still not showing a ton of progress as a viable passer, but if the Steelers keep winning…

Pittsburgh needs to make a bigger splash for a long-term QB, but they’re out of range in this NFL mock draft, so they’ll take Kenneth Grant and bolster their DL, which is quietly getting a bit older.

29. Houston Texans - Harold Perkins, LB, LSU

Through four games in the 2024 NFL Season, the Houston Texans have the 22nd-ranked scoring defense in the NFL, which is a shock.  Head coach DeMeco Ryans is an elite defensive mind, but his unit is struggling thus far.  One area where I can see them improving in the offseason is at linebacker.  As far as I am concerned, the defensive front and secondary are solid.

Could the Texans use their first-round pick on Harold Perkins, a LB from LSU?  DeMeco Ryans was once a very good linebacker in the NFL, so this could be a perfect fit for both sides, and being that the Texans will have CJ Stroud on his rookie deal for a few more years, it’s even more reason to fill out the holes on the roster and continue to make an all-in push.

Some may not love the idea of a first-round linebacker, but it’s a massive position of need for Houston.  GM Nick Caserio has hit some home runs in the NFL Draft recently.  Can Perkins be his next hit?

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded cornerback Carlton Davis in the offseason to the Detroit Lions, so they could stand to add another starting-caliber CB to the roster.  Denzel Burke is the pick here at no. 30 in this 2025 NFL mock draft.  Todd Bowles is a defensive-minded head coach, and with the offense still playing at a high level, adding to the defense makes a lot of sense.

Baker Mayfield is still playing out of his mind and the offense still has guys like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin producing at a high level, so their area to address in the coming offseason may be to improve their secondary and perhaps even add more juice to their pass rush.  We went with a CB here in this mock draft.

31. Minnesota Vikings - Shavon Revel Jr, CB, East Carolina

Shavon Revel Jr tore his ACL in late-September, so he’s not currently playing.  However, Revel is most definitely a first-round prospect and could be some great value for the Minnesota Vikings at pick 31.  The Vikings are one of two unbeaten teams left in the NFL alongside the Kansas City Chiefs.  And folks, the Vikings are very clearly the most complete team in the NFL.

QB Sam Darnold is a legitimate MVP candidate.  If Darnold keeps this up, there is no way they would let him leave in free agency, right?  Well, that’s a different story, but one area where the Vikings could stand to get better is in the secondary, especially at CB.  With Revel now rehabbing a torn ACL, he may not be 100% until close to Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Season, which may force him to miss most of the rookie offseason ins and outs.

32. Kansas City Chiefs - Walter Nolen, DL, Mississippi

At pick 32, the Kansas City Chiefs bolster their defensive line with Walter Nolen from Mississippi.  The Chiefs definitely don’t feel like a 4-0 team, but here we are.  They’ve not blown out their opponents but instead of have made fewer mistakes than their opponents and have been able to win some close contests.

Why not continue making their best aspect of the team an even bigger strength?  Some may disagree with this, as the Chiefs could use another tackle and some WR help, but General Manager Brett Veach takes a defensive tackle.

Honestly, the Chiefs could do a bit of work in free agency in 2025 and fill some of their holes on offense and perhaps then turn to keeping the defense afloat for the long-term beginning in the 2025 NFL Draft.  As long as Patrick Mahomes is still viable, their offense will always be fine.

There you have it, our latest 2025 NFL mock draft.  As the 2024 NFL Season progresses, the projected draft order is definitely going to change.  Some of the teams picking as high as they are may start stacking wins, and some teams off to a hot start through four games could come crashing down.

You just never know in the NFL.
