Let's try to sift through all of the great players in the NFL and predict the best for each team in the 2025 season. This is going to be a tough task with a lot of predicting, but we will give it a shot. When the summer hits, a ton of the offseason workouts and program will begin.

Football returns in August with the preseason, and at the beginning of September, the 2025 NFL regular season begins, as all 32 teams compete for the Super Bowl. There are perhaps hundreds of good players across the NFL.

Let's try to predict the best player on each team for the 2025 NFL Season.

Predicting each NFL team's best player for the 2025 season

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens - Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson has won two MVP awards and really should have won a third in the 2024 NFL Season. He is not only the best QB in the NFL, but he may also be the best player in the league, period.

Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow threw for over 40 touchdown passes in the 2024 NFL Season and is easily the second-best quarterback in the league. There isn't any debate here, as he will be the Bengals best player in 2025.

Cleveland Browns - Myles Garrett

Myles Garrett is still right in the middle of his prime if you ask me and is a Defensive Player of the Year. He's likely also getting a bust in Canton one day. The Browns stud defensive player should be their best in 2025.

Pittsburgh Steelers - DK Metcalf

With no quarterback solution in sight, whoever plays QB for the Steelers in 2025 may end up feeding the ball to DK Metcalf frequently. Because the Steelers don't have a ton of viable receiving options, Metcalf may have a career year.

AFC South

Houston Texans - Will Anderson Jr

Will Anderson Jr is one of the best young pass rushers in the NFL and is contributing to one of the best pass rushes in the league with the Houston Texans. Anderson is entering a crucial third year in the league and should erupt.

Tennessee Titans - Jeffery Simmons

Roster-wise, the Tennessee Titans just simply need more talent. Jeffery Simmons is probably their best player as it stands right now and should be their best in the 2025 NFL Season.

Jacksonville Jaguars - Brian Thomas Jr

The wise guys may think that Travis Hunter is going to be the team's best player in the 2025 NFL Season, but Brian Thomas Jr quickly emerged as a top receiver in the entire league and could hit elite status in 2025.

Indianapolis Colts - Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor quietly rushed for over 1,400 yards in just 14 games in the 2024 NFL Season. Being that the Colts have a disastrous QB room, Taylor might get a ton of carries.

AFC East

New England Patriots - TreVeyon Henderson

This is a bit of a surprise, but TreVeyon Henderson can quite literally do everything you need from a RB1 in the NFL. He is going to emerge as their top runner and may also be one of their best receiving threats as well.

New York Jets - Sauce Gardner

Sauce Gardner is a top-3 cornerback in football and may get a huge contract extension in the near future. Gardner is going to be the primary season why the New York Jets field a top defense in 2025.

Miami Dolphins - Jaelan Phillips

Jaelan Phillips is going to be returning from injury in 2025, and I really do believe that many people forget just how good Phillips is. He should emerge as the Miami Dolphins best player in 2025.

Buffalo Bills - Josh Allen

Winning the MVP in the 2024 NFL Season, Josh Allen is the straw that stirs the drink for the Buffalo Bills, and that is not going to change.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs - Creed Humphrey

Patrick Mahomes really hasn't been all that special over the last two seasons, so I am not going with him here. Creed Humphrey is the top center in football and is going to be the Chiefs best player in 2025.

Denver Broncos - Patrick Surtain II

Patrick Surtain II won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2024 and is clearly only getting better. He should be the Denver Broncos best player in the 2025 NFL Season yet again.

Los Angeles Chargers - Joe Alt

The steady right tackle was great in 2024 and is going to be even better in 2025. The offensive line as a whole really do not get as much love as they deserve, as they all set the tone up front. Joe Alt is probably already the best player on the Los Angeles Chargers.

Las Vegas Raiders - Brock Bowers

Brock Bowers was arguably the best tight end in the NFL in 2024, so it's no surprise that he is in our list. Geno Smith is an average quarterback, but he can at least feed the ball to his top playmakers, so Bowers should have another insane season.

NFC North

Detroit Lions - Penei Sewell

The best right tackle in the NFL, Penei Sewell may not get as much hype as some of the other players on the Detroit Lions. Sewell is the best at what he does on that roster and is going to carve out another insane year in 2025.

Minnesota Vikings - Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson is already on a Hall of Fame pace. He's got 7,432 receiving yards in his five years in the NFL. That is more than most NFL receivers we'd consider had a 'good' career.

Green Bay Packers - Jordan Love

Jordan Love could be on the cusp of truly breaking out and becoming one of the five best quarterbacks in the NFL. You get the feeling that Love and the Packers are close.

Chicago Bears - Caleb Williams

I am very high on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in the 2025 NFL Season. I would absolutely buy into Bears stock right now. Ben Johnson is going to be the best thing that ever happens to Caleb Williams.

NFC South

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield had a great year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2024 NFL Season. Mayfield hit the 40 touchdown, 4,500-yard mark, which is simply outstanding. He'll have another great season in 2025.

New Orleans Saints - Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara is past his prime, but the New Orleans Saints really do not have many great players, and Kamara might end up with yet another heavy workload if the New Orleans Saints are starting rookie Tyler Shough.

Carolina Panthers - Tet McMillan

Tet McMillan may be the alpha receiver that the Carolina Panthers are missing. McMillan instantly becomes their top target and should get a ton of footballs thrown his way by Bryce Young, who could also emerge as the team's best player.

Atlanta Falcons - Bijan Robinson

An elite dual-threat running back and one of the best weapons in the NFL, Bijan Robinson is going to be key for the development of Michael Penix Jr for the Atlanta Falcons. He will be their best player. Chris Lindstrom would be a candidate here as well.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys - CeeDee Lamb

This isn't much of a question, but I guess you could also put Micah Parsons here quite easily. I will go with CeeDee Lamb, as he is going to get his QB back for the 2025 NFL Season.

New York Giants - Malik Nabers

Malik Nabers produced at a high level despite dealing with below-average QB play in 2024. Nabers could feast with the deep ball from Russell Wilson in the 2025 season. He should emerge as their best player.

Washington Commanders - Jayden Daniels

Duh, right?

Jayden Daniels was historically good as a rookie in 2024 and might end up getting some MVP hype as we get closer to the start of the 2025 season. The ideal scenario here is that Daniels and the Washington Commanders avoid a sophomore year slump.

Philadelphia Eagles - Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards in the 2024 NFL Season and hit his stride after years of being in the NFL. Sometimes, it is just as simple as getting in the right situation.

NFC West

San Francisco 49ers - Nick Bosa

Nick Bosa won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year a few years ago, and I am going to bank on him returning to close to that form in 2025. With the key players on offense getting older and returning from injury, it is hard to bank on them.

Los Angeles Rams - Puka Nacua

Puka Nacua could erupt in year three, as Matthew Stafford loves throwing the ball to his best receivers, just ask Cooper Kupp and Calvin Johnson.

Nacua could be the third player in that bunch if he takes a leap in 2025, and I believe he will.

Arizona Cardinals - Marvin Harrison Jr

Marvin Harrison Jr had a very good rookie season in the NFL, but some people seemed to think that it was underwhelming, but our instant gratification society has really done a ton of damage. He should emerge as their top player in 2025.

Seattle Seahawks - Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be Sam Darnold's go-to target in 2025. JSN broke out a bit in 2024. He could have something even bigger on the horizon for 2025 with the Seahawks.
