The Seattle Seahawks appear to be a logical favorite to win Super Bowl LX this year, and it's only year two of the Mike Macdonald era. It's been a hugely successful tenure for Macdonald even if the team were to fall short of the Super Bowl. On paper, this is one of the more explosive teams in the NFL, as Sam Darnold can throw the ball down the field with high efficiency, and the defense is just overwhelming.
However, the work has really only just begun, and if you're GM John Schneider, you realize how open this Super Bowl window could be. Seattle actually only has four picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, which is very limited draft capital. This puts more pressure on the front office to hit on the right players, obviously.
Let's get into a 7-Round Seattle Seahawks mock draft, where the front offices keys in on urgent roster needs to take this group to the next level, perhaps again setting the stage for another deep playoff run in 2026.
Seattle Seahawks 7-Round NFL Mock Draft ahead of the NFC title game
32. Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
Going from Auburn, to Colorado, to Tennessee in just three collegiate seasons, Colton Hood has bounced around a bit. Here is some of his draft profile from Ryan Fowler:
Hood’s limitations cap his ceiling slightly, but his floor is well-defined. He projects best as a dependable No. 2 outside corner who can start early in his career. With continued refinement and experience, his consistency should translate well to the next level.
Colton Hood NFL Player Comparison: Carlton Davis
The comparison is based on size, physicality, and play temperament. Like Davis, Hood wins with length, outstanding patience, and strength rather than elite speed or suddenness. Their alignment versatility is comparable, also.
There is clearly a path for Hood to hear his name called in Round 1, and the Seahawks pull the trigger.
64. Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame
Ken Walker III is a free agent, and Zach Charbonnet now has a torn ACL, so the running back room has some unknowns after the 2025 NFL Season. I would be shocked if GM John Schneider did not address this room in some capacity in the NFL Draft.
The Seahawks take Jadarian Price, who is the other notable Notre Dame running back not named Jeremiyah Love. Price is the final pick of Round 2 in this mock draft.
96. Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State
Drew Shelton could settle into a tackle spot in the NFL but might translate better along the interior of the offensive line. The Seahawks could use another guard. Grey Zabel has been a home run of a pick, but Anthony Bradford is a bit of a liability, so getting a potential replacements makes a lot of sense.
Shelton is a top-100-caliber pick, and Seattle nabs him up at pick 96.
186. Romello Brinson, WR, SMU
Seattle finishes up this mock draft with Romello Brinson from SMU. Brinson had 638 yards and three touchdowns for SMU in 2025. He began his collegiate career at Miami and has 52 games of experience.
The Seahawks only had four picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. It could be a realistic scenario for the front office to perhaps try and trade down to net some more capital, but with any trade down, there has to be a team willing to trade up.
One thing is certain, though - this team might be the most well-coached in the NFL, and there is no reason to believe that Seattle won't again be a juggernaut in 2026. You'd ideally love to see Sam Darnold take better care of the football going forward, but that could absolutely come with another year in the system.
