Following the Los Angeles Rams win in Super Bowl LVI, we offer up a 2022 NFL Mock Draft that covers the first three rounds
The 2021 season is officially over now that Super Bowl LVI is in the books as the Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It was an exciting game that came down to the wire — with the Rams scoring a winning touchdown at the end, then making a huge defensive stop afterward.
With all 32 teams now focused on the offseason, we bring you a three-round mock draft as we try and help teams build their own contenders as they aim to be the next team to go after it all.
Jaguars land a bookend with pick No. 1 in 2022 NFL Mock Draft
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
He might not be the No. 1 player on the board but Evan Neal seems to be the best fit for the Jacksonville Jaguars at this point. They added an offensive-minded head coach in Doug Pederson and he’s going to want to see his offense improved — and the best way to do this will be to find a left tackle who can keep Trevor Lawrence standing tall in the pocket.
Neal can do just that as the 6-foot-7, 345-pounder is capable against the speed rushers due to his impressive athleticism and can also deal with the power rushers since he’s built like a small mountain.
2. Detroit Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
The Detroit Lions have two picks in the opening round of this draft, starting with No. 2 overall. This one, they use on Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux. He’s been called the top prospect by some scouts and it’s easy to see why.
Thibodeaux is able to disrupt the pocket easily and the Lions need someone such as him to lead the way on defense. He’s a player who has his best football ahead of him.

3. Houston Texans: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
With Lovie Smith being the choice for the Houston Texans as head coach there are two things that are evident. One, they should have just kept David Culley because they were clearly not ready for a big change — which they need. Two, they will probably focus on getting better on defense since this is Smith’s calling card.
With that being said, they pick up Aidan Hutchinson from Michigan to play defensive end. Hutchinson is the only edge player who is contending Kayvon Thibodeaux — and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leapfrog the Oregon product.
However it falls, both Detroit and Houston can end up with game-changers for their defensive line.
4. New York Jets: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
The New York Jets had two picks in the 2021 NFL Draft and took Zach Wilson and Alijah Vera-Tucker as they aimed to improve their offense. That didn’t happen just yet but they do believe in their young quarterback and what his future can be.
In this mock, they start things out with a defensive player at No. 4 overall as Robert Saleh ends up taking one of the better chess pieces in the class. Kyle Hamilton is a safety for Notre Dame but can move all over the defense and wreak havoc. He should help them deal with some of the high-powered offenses they will need to eventually contend with in the AFC.

5. New York Giants: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
There’s no denying the New York Giants have a tough road ahead of them. Brian Daboll comes in with an impressive resume and he was instrumental in turning Josh Allen into a star. However, there’s no way they can truly expect him to do the same thing with Daniel Jones.
On top of that, there are holes all over the roster. The good news is, they get two very high draft picks in this class starting at No. 5. Here, they take Ikem Ekwonu from North Carolina State to solidify their offensive line – which was not fixed by Dave Gettleman despite his promise to do just that.
There will still need to be several other moves for them to become contenders but this could at least give Daboll a sturdy enough line to really evaluate Jones as his signal-caller.
6. Carolina Panthers: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
The Carolina Panthers are another team that desperately needs to fix their offensive line and they make huge strides in that endeavor with the selection of Trevor Penning from Northern Iowa. Penning looked like a star in college but there were some concerns due to the level of competition he faced.
Having said that, he should have put much of that to bed when he dominated at the Senior Bowl. While those few practices shouldn’t completely sway opinions, it did prove that what Penning put on tape for UNI will translate no matter who he’s playing against.

7. New York Giants (via Chicago Bears): David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan
They made a pick at No. 5, watched the Panthers take Trevor Penning, and are now back on the clock. The New York Giants own the No. 7 pick as well thanks to their trade with the Chicago Bears who moved up in the 2021 NFL Draft to select Justin Fields.
Now, New York elects to use this pick on a pass rusher as they bring in David Ojabo from Michigan. The second Wolverine to go in the first seven picks, Ojabo burst onto the scene in 2021 with 11 sacks. He’s listed at 6-foot-5 and 250-pounds and would be an excellent fit on the edge in New York.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
2021 was a rough season for the Atlanta Falcons and it might be time for them to admit a rebuild is necessary. With that being possible, there’s one name that could be on the block which is Calvin Ridley. In fact, there are already reports that Ridley – who stepped away from the game during 2021 – wants to return but could be in need of a fresh start with a different team.
Even if Atlanta is able to convince him to return to their squad, the Falcons will still need wide receiver help. That’s why Garrett Wilson from Ohio State makes so much sense for them at No. 8.
Sure, they might want to consider life after Matt Ryan but if they weren’t willing to pull the trigger on Justin Fields last season, there likely won’t be any quarterbacks who they take in this class. So instead, they bolster the receiving corps and try to reload the roster all around Ryan.

9. Denver Broncos: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
There are several rumors that the Denver Broncos will be the home of Aaron Rodgers in 2022 — and if that ends up being the case, this pick will likely belong to the cheese heads. However, this could also be all speculation as there are also reports that Rodgers is more willing to return to Green Bay than previously thought. There’s also an outside chance he calls it a career.
Whatever unfolds, Denver needs to add another quarterback and they do that with Malik Willis at No. 9. Should Willis be the pick, it might be a bit of a shock. He’s not the consensus No. 1 quarterback but the truth is, he has a massive ceiling and in a class where there are no sure things, shooting high could be the best choice.
10. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks): Derek Stingley, CB, LSU
As mentioned earlier, the New York Jets went with two offensive players in 2021, and now, they double up on defenders. Not only that, but they make it two players for their secondary as they land Derek Stingley from LSU following their pick of Kyle Hamilton earlier.
If it feels like overkill to go after another defensive back, it shouldn’t. Stingley is far too talented to pass on at No. 10 and the Jets secondary could suddenly be a huge strength with these two being added.

11. Washington Commanders: Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
They have a new name, even if it’s not a great one, and now the Washington Commanders have their new quarterback. Just a couple of picks after Malik Willis lands with the Denver Broncos, Matt Corrall heads to D.C. where he will challenge Taylor Heinicke for the job.
Corral is a player capable of moving the ball with his arm and legs and has put together a solid career with the Rebels. Like every quarterback in this class, he has a lot of question marks surrounding him but the Commanders need to take a shot on someone because they can’t keep rolling out Heinicke as the starter and expect him to take him where they want to go. He can, however, hold the job down until Corral is ready which could help ease the rookie in.
12. Minnesota Vikings: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
With Mike Zimmer out and Kevin O’Connell in, the Minnesota Vikings could finally look to move on from Kirk Cousins as their starting quarterback. There are some rumors they could trade Cousins to Cleveland and possibly land Baker Mayfield but that doesn’t seem as likely as them simply going for a rookie instead of a four-year veteran needing a new deal despite not yet proving he’s a long-term starter.
Here, they go with the rookie as they take Kenny Pickett from Pitt. A breakout star in 2021, Pickett soared up draft boards and finds himself landing in the top-15 here.

13. Cleveland Browns: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Odell Beckham, Jr. completely burned the Cleveland Browns but then once he went and had success with the Rams, it proved that he was correct in saying that he wasn’t the problem. What that means for Baker Mayfield has yet to be determined. As for the Browns, what they do know for sure is that they have to get better at wide receiver.
They do that here with the selection of Jameson Williams from Alabama. Williams transferred from Ohio State to get more playing time and he excelled once he had that chance. Now, he becomes the second wideout taken after his former teammate Garrett Wilson.
Williams did tear his ACL so there will be some teams scared off but as long as he looks healthy, a team such as Cleveland would be wise to bring him in.
14. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
The Baltimore Ravens need a new offensive tackle but they’re also a defensive-minded team that wins when they can punish opposing offenses. That’s why they go a different route here as they bring in Jordan Davis from Georgia.
A massive nose tackle at 6-foot-6 and 340-pounds, Davis is a space-eater but can also generate a push while rushing the passer. He might not play all three downs simply due to his size and the need for rest but he’s more than capable and will vastly improve the Ravens front line.

Philadelphia builds up their defense with back-to-back picks in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft
15. Philadelphia Eagles (via Miami Dolphins): George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue
This is the part of the 2022 NFL Draft where the Philadelphia Eagles can take over as they have three selections in the next five picks. This first one is courtesy of the Miami Dolphins as the two teams moved around before the 2021 NFL Draft with Philly landing an extra pick from the Dolphins for their trouble.
Their selection here is Purdue defensive end George Karlaftis who has an immense ceiling. For the Eagles, they seem to be ready to move on from Derek Barnett who has not lived up to his potential, and turning to Karlaftis could be exactly what they need.
16. Philadelphia Eagles (via Indianapolis Colts): Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
Philly traded their former franchise quarterback to the Indianapolis Colts and when Carson Wentz managed to play the whole season, it meant they had to surrender their first pick to the Eagles. Here, they use that selection to bolster their linebacking corps as they bring in Nakobe Dean from Georgia.
A playmaker who blew up during the Bulldogs’ title run, Dean should have no problem making the same type of huge plays at the next level — especially if the defensive line in front of him starts to improve, which should happen with the selection that took place just before this.

Chargers steal top EDGE in 2022 NFL mock draft
17. Los Angeles Chargers: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
Jermaine Johnson took a long route to the NFL. He was once a JUCO standout, then became a rotational player for the Georgia Bulldogs. He finally became a starter for a big-name program in 2021 when he transferred to Florida State and he did not disappoint.
Johnson racked up 70 tackles and 11.5 sacks for the Seminoles as he held up well against the run in addition to his pass-rushing prowess. Here, he lands with the Los Angeles Chargers where they want to find someone who could start opposite Joey Bosa.
With Johnson and Bosa together, this defense could become a real problem — and the Chargers will need that if they ever want to slow down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
18. New Orleans Saints: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
Michael Thomas has hardly seen the field in the past two seasons and there were also concerns about him wanting the New Orleans Saints to trade him while he was out. There’s more optimism now that he will return but that started before Sean Payton retired.
Throw in the fact that this team is over $70 million in the red and there’s still a chance Thomas could be gone. Even if that’s not the case, they need more help at receiver so adding Treylon Burks from Arkansas feels like the right move.

Philadelphia Eagles go big at WR in 2022 NFL mock draft
19. Philadelphia Eagles: Drake London, WR, USC
It’s time for the Philadelphia Eagles to admit drafting Jalen Reagor was a mistake. Sure, they should have known a wide receiver with drop concerns and a lack of stats in a conference that doesn’t play defense was a bad idea, especially with Justin Jefferson sitting there, but it is what it is.
The good news is, they can fix it in this wide receiver-rich class — and with three picks in Round 1, they don’t have to feel guilty for adding a player at the position in each of the past three first-rounds. With all that being said, Drake London ends up being the selection and he will be a great fit across from Devonta Smith.
London is a two-sport star who played basketball for the Trojans as well and is great at going up and getting the ball.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
There will be calls for the Pittsburgh Steelers to take a quarterback but with how this mock fell, it would be better to wait. Instead, they address another major need as they bring in Kenyon Green from Texas A&M.
Green is capable of playing guard and tackle, and the Steelers need both. He should be able to start from day one and will help whoever ends up starting stay clean in the pocket, while also being able to open up lanes for Najee Harris.

21. New England Patriots: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
Somehow, someone voted for Mac Jones as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Yes, Jones did incredibly well for the New England Patriots, but whoever voted him over Ja’Marr Chase clearly never watched Ja’Marr Chase play for the Bengals.
Back to Jones, he was a great player and the future is bright for him. But what really helps him is the way the Patriots build an entire team and don’t just lean on the quarterback — which is weird considering they spent 20 years with the best in the business.
Still, they have a solid defense and it gets even better with Andrew Booth, Jr. being their selection here. The Pats have J.C. Jackson hitting free agency so they will either be replacing him with Booth or signing him to a massive deal and boasting an elite secondary.
22. Las Vegas Raiders: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
With a new coach in charge, it’s anyone’s guess what the Las Vegas Raiders will be doing —especially since Josh McDaniels is such a wild card. In this mock, they add Tyler Linderbaum from Iowa who is the best center in the class.
He’s one of the smarter players in the class and adding him shores up the middle of the line for the Raiders who have a pretty solid roster and can use some fine-tuning.

23. Arizona Cardinals: Travon Walker, DE, Georgia
Another Georgia defender gets the call as the Arizona Cardinals bring in Travon Walker. He was listed as a defensive tackle but will likely play end for the Cards as his 6-foot-5, 275-pound frame is perfect for their three-man line.
He will not only give them a suitable starter which helps them tremendously but it’s also a great place for Walker to end up. With Arizona, he will be able to work alongside J.J. Watt who is one of the best 3-4 defensive ends in recent memory and can surely help Walker adapt to the NFL level.
24. Dallas Cowboys: Cameron Thomas, EDGE, San Diego State
It seems as though the Dallas Cowboys will have to address both the offensive and defensive line this offseason. They have a potential hole at left guard and center could use an upgrade. However, with Tyler Linderbaum off the board, it’s likely they wait on that side of the line.
Instead, they look at the defensive line as they could be in trouble there. Dallas could lose Randy Gregory and Dorance Armstrong in free agency and if they are able to retain Gregory, it won’t be cheap and could lead to them considering making a move with DeMarcus Lawrence.
Whichever way they go, Dallas will need another starter and that’s where Cameron Thomas comes in. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Thomas is a powerful player who improved every season and could be a steal at this point.

25. Buffalo Bills: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia
The Georgia front-seven was absolutely dominant this season which is why so many of them ended up in the first round of this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Their depth will be tested with so many turning pro but those players are all expected to be big-time players at the next level.
One of those projected stars is Devonta Wyatt who lands with the Buffalo Bills at No. 25. Buffalo has an elite offense, thanks in large part to Josh Allen being one of the best in the game right now, but they need more depth on defense, which was seen when they couldn’t make a stop against the Chiefs with a shot at the AFC Championship on the line.
Wyatt put up 113 tackles, 12 for a loss, and five sacks in four seasons but really came on strong in 2021. He’s improved every season and has his best football ahead of him.
26. Tennessee Titans: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
The Tennessee Titans can use some more depth on the offensive line and Charles Cross practically falls into their laps here. He’s more of a left tackle which is where Taylor Lewan plays now but Cross is simply too good to pass at this point.

Help is on the way at WR for Bucs in 2022 NFL mock draft
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could look vastly different in 2022 with Tom Brady calling it a career. In addition to this, they could lose Rob Gronkowski and Chris Godwin as well. In an effort to re-tool their offense amid all the departures, the Bucs bring in Chris Olave.
Originally considered a first-round pick in 2021, Olave returned for one more season and improved his stock. However, he might end up being taken around the same spot simply due to how strong this class is.
Olave comes in after some other big-name receivers but he’s more than capable of playing alongside Mike Evans and keeping this offense on task.
28. Green Bay Packers: DeMarvin Leal, EDGE, Texas A&M
There’s a chance the Green Bay Packers could go for a wide receiver — who are we kidding, they’re not taking a wideout. They should, but for whatever reason, they won’t spend premium picks on the position.
Instead, they bolster the defensive line as they take DeMarvin Leal from Texas A&M. The good news is, they land a player who has talent much greater than where he lands here (pick No. 28). Leal is a 290-pound defensive end but moves like a man 40-pounds lighter and he can really get after the quarterback.
With Green Bay, he likely plays edge on their three-man line and will help tremendously in that role.

Miami Dolphins get a steal in 2022 NFL mock draft
29. Miami Dolphins (via San Francisco 49ers): Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
They traded their pick to the Eagles but then landed the 49ers selection in this draft. That means they still get a day one pick but slide back some due to the Niners making it to the NFC Championship Game. Miami unceremoniously fired Brian Flores but they did at least make a great hire in Mike McDaniel — who is the exact type of head coach who has had success in recent years. He’s young, hyper-intelligent, and focused on an analytical approach to the game.
While they will likely want to add talent to the offense, the best value for the Dolphins here could be to bring in Devin Lloyd from Utah. He’s a three-down linebacker who can make all the plays and should help them get the ball back for an offense that has a lot of solid pieces for McDaniel to work with.
30. Kansas City Chiefs: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
No one could have predicted the Kansas City Chiefs would have lost in the AFC Championship Game due to their offense failing them. Sure, they had some ups and downs in the early portion of the 2021 season but by the time the playoffs came around, they looked like themselves again — and even scored on a 13-second drive to knock off the Bills.
With all this being said, it’s understandable that the front office will want to make sure they do what they can to become unstoppable once again. Adding Jahan Dotson from Penn State with pick No. 30 could make them that.
Dotson is a big play waiting to happen and adding him to an offense that includes Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman feels unfair.

Cincinnati Bengals upgrade offensive line in 2022 NFL mock draft
31. Cincinnati Bengals: Zion Nelson, OT, Miami
The Cincinnati Bengals were destroyed for not taking Penei Sewell but their recent trip to the Super Bowl, as well as Ja’Marr Chase earning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, proves they were right.
Having said that, the calls for an offensive lineman were legit too as the Bengals need to improve their protection up front, and it was the reason they couldn’t pull off the win this weekend. In this mock, many of the sure-thing linemen have been taken but Cincy still needs to try and get someone capable of starting, which is why they take Zion Nelson here.
32. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
The Los Angeles Rams are more than happy with their move to land Matthew Stafford but the Detroit Lions could also end up happy should they be able to re-tool their roster and build a contender. They use this pick from L.A. to pick up Ahmad Gardner from Cincinnati as they bolster their pass defense.
They already vastly improved the defensive line when they took Kayvon Thibodeaux at No. 2 and now they add a playmaker to start across from Jeff Okudah in the secondary. They still have a lot of holes to fill but they have enough draft capital to improve things as long as they don’t reach — and this one is far from a reach.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 2
33. Jacksonville Jaguars: Daxton Hill, S, Michigan
Landing a defensive tackle early should help but the Jaguars need much more help in order to rebuild this team. Drafting 33rd overall means they can get a day one talent still — which they do by adding Daxton Hill from Michigan to be their new star safety.
34. Detroit Lions: Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina
They didn’t take a quarterback in the first round but that doesn’t mean they should skip on on all weekend — especially if Sam Howell is still here at pick 34. Howell is not a sure thing but he drives the ball very well and could push Jared Goff for his job.
35. New York Jets: Daniel Faalele, OT, Minnesota
Alijah Vera-Tucker and Mekhi Becton are good, young offensive linemen that the Jets can build around. They do have Morgan Moses as well, but with him hitting free agency it might be more financially prudent to add Daniel Faalele from Minnesota to play right tackle.
36. New York Giants: David Bell, WR, Purdue
The Giants need wide receivers but they were able to wait until Round 2 thanks to the depth in this class. David Bell from Purdue could end up being a solid contributor for them.
37. Houston Texans: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
Trent McDuffie feels like a first-round pick but there’s also a chance he could last into day two. Here, he lands with the Houston Texans who could use much more talent at corner.
38. New York Jets (via Carolina Panthers): Logan Hall, EDGE, Houston
Back on the clock once again, the New York Jets add Logan Hall from Houston in an effort to bolster their pass rush.
39. Chicago Bears: Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn
Another potential starting cornerback slides into the second round and the Chicago Bears gladly bring him in as they take Auburn’s Roger McCreary at No. 39.
40. Denver Broncos: Myjai Sanders, EDGE, Cincinnati
He won’t replace what Von Miller brought to the table but the Denver Broncos do need more players who can get after the quarterback. Myjai Sanders is their pick here and while he needs to refine his pass-rushing, he’s a potential contributor out of the gate with a high ceiling.

2022 NFL mock draft: Picks 41-48
41. Seattle Seahawks: Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State
No one drafts offensive linemen as much as the Seattle Seahawks do — and since they never use premium picks on the position, they just keep throwing darts. Their latest is used on Nicholas Petit-Frere from Ohio State, who could end up being a solid option even if he never becomes a superstar.
42. Washington Commanders: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida
Kaiir Elam has NFL bloodlines as his father and uncle made it to the NFL. He lands with the Washington Commanders, a team that hopes to rebound from a disappointing 2021 campaign.
43. Atlanta Falcons: Kingsley Enagbare, EDGE, South Carolina
There was a time when Kingsley Enagbare looked to be a Round 1 pick but he was surpassed by several other pass-rushers. He still has all the tools and at 260-pounds, he won’t be pushed around. In Atlanta, he fills a massive need and could see the field early.
44. Cleveland Browns: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC
Even if the Cleveland Browns get Jadeveon Clowney back, they need more depth at defensive end. Enter Drake Jackson from USC who has all the physical tools to be a problem, and could pick up some tips from Myles Garrett and possibly Clowney if he’s re-signed.
45. Baltimore Ravens: Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington
Another Washington cornerback gets drafted as the Baltimore Ravens bring in Kyler Gordon. The Huskies produce a lot of defensive backs and Baltimore is hoping they get another stud from this program.
46. Minnesota Vikings: Jaquan Brisker, S, Penn State
Harrison Smith is getting a bit “seasoned” which means the Minnesota Vikings could look for some youth at safety. Enter Jaquan Brisker from Penn State who had 151 tackles and five picks in three seasons.
47. Indianapolis Colts: Tariq Woolen, CB, UTSA
Indianapolis got more from Xavier Rhodes than expected but now they need some youth. That’s why Tariq Woolen makes sense for them at No. 47.
48. Los Angeles Chargers: Perrion Winfrey, DT, Oklahoma
They got a potential game-wrecker in defensive end Jermaine Johnson in the first. Now, they add Perrion Winfrey from Oklahoma as the Los Angeles Chargers make sure to improve their offenisve line in this draft.

2022 NFL mock draft: Picks 49-56
49. New Orleans Saints: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
In the opening round, the Saints improved their wide receiver corps with Treylon Burks. Now, they go for a new quarterback in Desmond Ridder from Cincinnati. Like every other signal-caller in this class, there are serious concerns but Ridder could potentially sit and learn in New Orleans before playing, which could help him develop into a more consistent player.
50. Miami Dolphins: Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan
The Miami Dolphins need help on the offensive line and Bernhard Raimann could be one of the more underrated linemen in this class. This could be a pairing that works out great for both player and team.
51. Philadelphia Eagles: Jamaree Salyer, IOL, Georgia
Jamaree Salyer is a 325-pound guard that could help open up the middle of the line for the Eagles.
52. Pittsburgh Steelers: Carson Strong, QB, Nevada
Ben Roethlisberger is out and that means Mason Rudolph is the favorite to start right now for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This means they absolutely need someone else and Carson Strong could be a dark horse for them.
53. Las Vegas Raiders: Travis Jones, DT, Uconn
Travis Jones is a massive player at 6-foot-5 and 333-pounds and recorded 8.5 sacks for Connecticut. He’s an intriguing player that could pay dividends for the Raiders.
54. New England Patriots: Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
New England gets the most out of Alabama players and they could end up with a good player here in Christian Harris. He might not blow anyone away but he’s a player who knows his job and will do what he’s supposed to. Those are the exact player Bill Belichick loves.
55. Arizona Cardinals: Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State
A running back is finally taken as the Arizona Cardinals take Kenneth Walker III from Michigan State. Walker blew up with 1,646 yards with the Spartans after putting up just 1,158 the previous two seasons with Wake Forest.
56. Dallas Cowboys: Sean Rhyan, IOL, UCLA
Cameron Thomas is going to improve the Dallas Cowboys defensive line but they need help on the O-line as well. This is why they pick up Sean Rhyan who was left tackle at UCLA, but will likely move inside at the next level.

2022 NFL mock draft: Closing out round two
57. Buffalo Bills: Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE, Penn State
Gregory Rousseau played well as a rookie and Carlos Basham and A.J. Epenesa still could become contributors. However, the Buffalo Bills could be losing Jerry Hughes and without knowing their other youngsters can start, they add Arnold Ebiketie from Penn State to ensure they have plenty of options on the edge.
58. Atlanta Falcons (via Tennessee Titans): Lewis Cine, S, Georgia
After winning a title with the Bulldogs, Lewis Cine finds himself being selected at No. 58 in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, which keeps him in the state of Georgia.
59. Green Bay Packers: John Metchie, WR, Alabama
John Metchie was surpassed by Jameson Williams but he’s still a great route-runner with soft hands. He lands with the Packers here and could become a huge contributor early for them.
Josh Paschal, EDGE, Kentucky
Za’Darius Smith was injured for pretty much the entire 2021 season. Green Bay would love to see him return to form but it could also be a good move to add some depth, which they do with Josh Paschal from Kentucky. They added DeMarvin Leal who could play on the line and Paschall could step in as a pass-rushing linebacker, making their defense a potentially elite unit once again.
60. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Darian Kinnard, OT, Kentucky
Another offensive tackle in college that might move inside at the next level is Darian Kinnard. The Kentucky offensive lineman is a massive player and will be a mauler at the next level.
61. San Francisco 49ers: Josh Paschal, EDGE, Kentucky
Arden Key was a solid rotational pass-rusher but could be on the way out. If so, the 49ers could replace him with Josh Paschal of Kentucky.
62. Kansas City Chiefs: Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor
If the Kansas City Chiefs lose Tyrann Mathieu in free agency, Jalen Pitre could be a potential replacement. If they keep Mathieu, he could be an excellent depth piece with the ability to replace the veteran down the road.
63. Cincinnati Bengals: Phidarian Mathis, DT, Alabama
They got their offensive linemen, now Cincinnati adds a big defensive tackle as they take Phidarian Mathis. The Alabama product is a healthy 6-foot-4 and 317-pounds and can play either defensive tackle spot.
64. Denver Broncos (via Los Angeles Rams): Martin Emerson, CB, Mississippi State
One of the picks Denver added in the Vin Miller comes in now and they decide to add Martin Emerson from Mississippi State. Standing in at 6-2 and 200-pounds, Emerson has the length defensive coordinators love and could end up being a contributor early and a starter down the road.

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Round 3
65. Jacksonville Jaguars: Nik Bonitto, EDGE, Oklahoma
They didn’t get a pass rusher at No. 1 but bring one in at No. 65 as the Jaguars add Nik Bonitto who had 16 sacks over the past two seasons for the Sooners.
66. Detroit Lions: George Pickens, WR, Georgia
George Pickens could end up being a steal here. A late injury in his career and a deep class at WR hurt his stock but this kid can play.
67. New York Giants: Brian Asamoah, LB, Oklahoma
New York adds a solid linebacker at pick 67 in Brian Asamoah.
68. Houston Texans: Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State
The Texans are a team that needs help everywhere. Christian Watson could be a very valuable pick up here.
69. New York Jets Isaiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M
Michael Carter isn’t bad but the Jets could use more help on offense, which is why they take Isaiah Spiller at this point.
70. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Carolina Panthers): Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A&M
Trevor Lawrence needs more weapons to find success and Jalen Wydermyer could be a huge help for him.
71. Chicago Bears: Dylan Parham, IOL, Memphis
Chicago bolsters the interior of their offensive line with Dylan Parham from Memphis.
72. Seattle Seahawks: Calvin Austin III, WR, Memphis
Another Memphis player comes off the board as the Seahawks add Calvin Austin III. The Seahawks are being rumored to be one of the teams looking to make some huge moves — including seeing what they can get for D.K. Metcalf ‚— and building depth at wideout can help them make such moves.
73. Washington Commanders: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan
Skyy Moore is one of the more underrated wide receivers in this class and could be a steal for the Commanders.
74. Atlanta Falcons: Abraham Lucas, OT, Washington State
Atlanta needs more talent on their offensive line and makes progress with Abraham Lucas at No. 74.
75. Denver Broncos: Bubba Bolden, S, Miami
The Broncos have found several contributors already and now bring in Bubba Bolden to strengthen their secondary.
76. Baltimore Ravens: Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Kentucky
Sammy Watkins wasn’t the answer, so the Ravens add more depth at wideout trying to get this position figured out.
77. Minnesota Vikings: Zachary Carter, IDL, Florida
Zachary Carter can play defensive tackle as well as end and should be able to help the Vikings defensive line improve in 2022.
78. Cleveland Browns: Bailey Zappe, QB, Western Kentucky
Cleveland wants Baker Mayfield to be the guy but with the roller coaster of a career he has had in his first four seasons, they need a Plan B. Bailey Zappe from Western Kentucky can be just that as he’s got all the tools and can be developed into a starter with the right coaching.
79. Los Angeles Chargers: Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson
They could lose Mike Williams in free agency but Justyn Ross could be a decent replacement.
80. Houston Texans (via New Orleans Saints): Kerby Joseph, S, Illinois
Lovie Smith adds a talented safety for his defense as Kerby Joseph comes in at No. 80.

2022 NFL mock draft picks 81-96
81. New York Giants (via Miami Dolphins): Tyler Smith, IOL, Tulsa
The Giants add a new guard as they bring in Tyler Smith from Tulsa. Dave Gettleman might not have fixed the O-line, but that happened in this mock.
82. Indianapolis Colts: Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota
Boye Mafe is going to be a steal for someone. Here, it’s the Colts who end up with the underrated defensive end from Minnesota.
83. Philadelphia Eagles: Mario Goodrich, CB, Clemson
Another underrated player in this class is Mario Goodrich who lands with the Eagles.
84. Pittsburgh Steelers: Nehemiah Pritchett, CB, Auburn
The second Auburn cornerback to be drafted is Nehemiah Pritchett who lands with the Steelers.
85. New England Patriots: Kyle Phillips, WR, UCLA
New England added some wide receiver help in 2021 but could use more. That’s where Kyle Phillips from UCLA comes in.
86. Las Vegas Raiders: Alontae Taylor, CB, Tennessee
Alontae Taylor had a good 2021 campaign and it could be enough to get him drafted on day two. Here, he lands with the Raiders who can use some help on the boundary.
87. Arizona Cardinals: Marcus Jones, CB, Houston
At just 5-foot-8, Marcus Jones will be doubted but he had five picks this past season. His instincts give him a shot in the NFL as Arizona takes him at No. 87 in this mock.
88. Dallas Cowboys: Isaiah Likely, TE, Coastal Carolina
Dalton Schultz could have priced himself out of Dallas. If they do retain him though, they probably have to release Blake Jarwin. Either way, they need a tight end and Isaiah Likely is a great value pick here.
89. Buffalo Bills: Spencer Buford, IOL, UTSA
The Bills have a decent offensive line but could use some competition, which is why Spencer Buford makes sense here.
90. Tennessee Titans: Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State
Tennessee needs depth at tight end since they didn’t replace Jonnu Smith and Trey McBride could the player to do just that.
91. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Rasheed Walker, OT, Penn State
Offensive line depth will be huge for the Bucs since they no longer have a quarterback who releases the ball nearly as quickly as he catches the snap.
92. Green Bay Packers: Cordell Volson, OT, North Dakota State
93. San Francisco 49ers: Mykael Wright, CB, Oregon
San Francisco has had a good defense for years and they continue to add talented players as they land Mykael Wright from Oregon at No. 93.
94. Kansas City Chiefs: Sam Williams, EDGE, Ole Miss
Finding consistency with their edge rush has been an issue for the Chiefs but they hope to find someone to develop in Sam Williams from Ole Miss.
95. Cincinnati Bengals: Jake Ferguson, TE, Wisconsin
The Bengals could use more depth at tight end, which is where Jake Ferguson from Wisconsin comes in.
96. Denver Broncos (via Los Angeles Rams): Darrian Beavers, LB, Cincinnati
More defensive help for the Broncos here as they add Darrian Beavers from Cincinnati.

2022 NFL Mock Draft, 3rd-round Comp Picks
97. Detroit Lions: Damarri Mathis, S, Pitt
Continuing to build up their defense, the Lions kick off the compensatory selections with Demarri Mathis from Pitt. The 5-11, 195-pound safety played in the slot and has experience at corner. He should be another solid contributor in a defense that could be vastly improved.
98. Cleveland Browns: Tyler Davis, DT, Clemson
Malik Jackson was a decent one-year rental whereas Malik McDowell was an excellent redemption story until he no longer was. With a need at the position, the Browns add Tyler Davis from Clemson with their comp pick. Davis will compete with Jordan Elliott and Tommy Togiai for snaps and could earn a lot even as a rookie.
99. Baltimore Ravens: Alec Lindstrom, IOL, Boston College
More offensive help for the Ravens as they add Alec Lindstrom here, the younger brother of Atlanta guard Chris Lindstrom.
100. New Orleans Saints: Sterling Weatherford, S, Miami
Sterling Weatherford is an intriguing prospect as he stands in at 6-foot-4 and 221-pounds and has four picks in his career. New Orleans uses a comp pick on him, seeing if they can find a diamond in the rough.
101. Miami Dolphins (via San Francisco 49ers): Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State
One thing Mike McDaniel understands is how to get the most out of his running backs. He’s been on several teams that have put up elite rushing numbers, even if they didn’t always have elite talent at the position.
In Miami, he will surely do the same but they do need more talent than they have currently. Enter Breece Hall from Iowa State who is one of the best running backs in this class. He’s a healthy 220-pounds and can carry the load in an offense that will likely lean on the ground game.
102. Kansas City Chiefs: Damone Clark, LB, LSU
Anthony Hitchens could be on the way out and if so, the Chiefs need more depth at linebacker. LSU has produced a lot of talent at the position and they hope to find a good one in Damone Clark.
103. Los Angeles Rams: Brandon Joseph, S, Northwestern
The final comp pick belongs to the Rams, who are not used to actually having picks. They do end up with a good one though as Brandon Joseph from Northwestern falls to them here.
