Even though the rookies from the 2026 NFL Draft class haven't played in a regular season game yet, that won't stop us from looking at the 2027 NFL Draft and what it could bring. It feels like we say this every year, but next year's draft does appear to be a lot better from top to bottom.
And the projected quarterback class could be quite good, so for teams that project to be among the worst in the NFL and need a franchise quarterback, there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but nothing is guaranteed at the moment.
As OTAs ramp up across the league and we near June, let's crack open an NFL mock draft and check out how the first 10 picks may look. For the order, we used NFL Spin Zone's most recent league power rankings, and simply flipped it around.
2027 NFL Mock Draft: Updated top-10 draft predictions as OTAs ramp up
1. Miami Dolphins - Arch Manning, QB, Texas
At this point, it's hard to imagine that Arch Manning doesn't go first overall in next year's NFL Draft. While he may not have necessarily been the top quarterback prospect this past year, another year of college under his belt should firmly have him in this conversation.
The Miami Dolphins could struggle to win a single game this year. Despite signing Malik Willis in free agency, this roster might be one of the worst we have seen in the 17-game era, and a new coaching staff also increases the team's chances of not winning many games.
2. Arizona Cardinals - Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Dante Moore also opted to return to school for the 2026 college football season. Moore is another top quarterback prospect and would surely hear his name called quite early on. If the Arizona Cardinals have the second overall pick, Moore could realistically hear his name called then. A team in a similar spot as the Dolphins, the Cardinals just do not have much going for them, but they did snag Carson Beck in the NFL Draft back in April.
It would not be a shock if Beck ended up starting games for the team this year, especially with Jacoby Brissett seemingly upset with his current contract at the moment. The Cardinals are stuck in the best division in football and won't make any progress without a franchise passer.
3. New York Jets - CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
Three quarterbacks in a row to begin the NFL Draft would not be a major shock, especially if the Dolphins, Cardinals, and Jets all end up with the top-3 picks. In this scenario, the Jets would simply have to take the best remaining quarterback, and that might be Notre Dame's CJ Carr.
Funnily enough, the Jets starting quarterback this year, Geno Smith, was on the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, one year before Seattle replaced him with Sam Darnold. And in 2025, Smith was on the Las Vegas Raiders, one year before he got replaced with Fernando Mendoza...
4. Cleveland Browns - Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
Drew Mestemarker is now at Oklahoma State and could be another quarterback who hears his named called quite early in the NFL Draft. With the Browns picking at fifth in our mock draft, they make the move. While the Deshaun Watson trade has blown up in the Browns' faces, General Manager Andrew Berry has otherwise done a pretty rockin' job at drafting key players, so there'd be reason to believe that Mestemaker would end up as a functional quarterback for the franchise.
5. Las Vegas Raiders - Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
The one notable area where the Raiders could afford to improve big-time is wide receiver, and Jeremiah Smith could end up being the best player in next year's class. With the Raiders wide receiver room looking like it does at the moment, this could be a huge free agency need in 2027 and a Round 1 need in the NFL Draft.
And it would absolutely be the Mendoza show in full force in 2027.
6. New Orleans Saints - Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
The New Orleans Saints picking sixth overall would be a major disappointment given how solid the team looked down the stretch in 2025, but on paper, this roster really isn't missing all that much. New Orleans could use a cornerback boost, though, as they've seen guys like Paulson Adebo and Alontae Taylor depart in free agency over the past two seasons, so this is a major issue that could need correcting big-time.
7. Atlanta Falcons - Darian Mensah, QB, Miami (FL)
With five quarterbacks going in the first seven picks in our mock draft, there could be a possibility that five teams just found their quarterback of the future. The Atlanta Falcons get in on the fun this time, taking Darian Mensah at pick seven.
Heck, the 2027 draft could end up rivaling the 2024 NFL Draft, where we saw six quarterbacks go in the first 12 picks, and four of them (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Bo Nix) all appear to be slam-dunk franchise players.
8. Tennessee Titans - Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
Trevor Goosby feels like, almost unquestionably, the best tackle in the country this upcoming college football season, and the offensive line is an area where the Tennessee Titans could look to address to further help out Cam Ward. The Titans snagged Carnell Tate in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, so further reinforcing the offense to hopefully see Ward take a massive leap forward in year three would be a wise idea.
9. Washington Commanders - Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
Speaking of Daniels, the Washington Commanders quarterback did struggle to stay on the field in 2025. The Commanders took a step back last year, winning just five games. Given this is what we just got from the team, there's no guarantee we'll see the franchise return to how they were in 2024.
And when you look at the overall talent on offense, or lack thereof, adding a wide receiver could help. Terry McLaurin has been great, but he's getting up there in age, and even outside of him, the room is rather average, at best.
Cam Coleman is a true "X" wide receiver and could supercharge this offense for the long-term.
10. New York Giants - Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Caroli na
Through two years in college, Dylan Stewart has racked up 22.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. He'll be in the running to be the first pass-rusher off the board in the NFL Draft as well, and the Giants might end up re-making this defensive line a bit.
We saw the major Dexter Lawrence trade, and the team also took Arvell Reese in Round 1. I see no reason why the Giants would not do this again, especially since this group on offense, for example, is a lot better than we think.
And with John Harbaugh as the head coach, we could see more of this rugged, tough trenches culture being established as the years go on.
