Week 15 of the 2024 NFL Season is now about in the books. Let's dive into our latest power rankings and check out the risers and fallers. We are getting into the most important stretch of games for some NFL teams. Not only are there a ton of flat-out awful teams this year, but there does still seem to be a ton of parity.

We're now approaching Week 15 of the 2024 NFL Season, which is just crazy to think about. In the coming weeks, more teams will clinch playoff spots, and on the flip side of that, more teams will be eliminated as well.

The NFL Playoff Picture is largely coming into view, and it may be hard to imagine a different group of teams in either conference making the playoffs than who is currently in a position now. Let's dive into our latest NFL power rankings!

NFL Power Rankings, Week 15: Rams rise, Giants somehow get worse?

32. New York Giants (2-11)

Now losers of eight games in a row, the New York Giants had a chance to tie it at the end of the game, but Graham Gano missed a short field goal.  The G-Men winning their Week 14 game against the New Orleans Saints would have likely made things worse.  They are set to pick second overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, so they should honestly just hope that they can keep losing.

The top QBs in the NFL Draft class figure to be Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward, and I would guess that the Giants have those guys as their top two passers, as the class is otherwise very weak.  The team notably cut Daniel Jones weeks ago in what turned into a pretty awful decision to extend him in the first place.

Drew Lock got his second start of the season for the New York Giants, and is now 0-2 on the year.  Could this be one of the worst years in the history of the Giants franchise?

31. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11)

Losers of nine in a row, which is the longest-active losing streak in the NFL, the Las Vegas Raiders are somehow worse than they were last year.  Now at 2-11, they hold the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and could be in line for Shedeur Sanders with that pick.  The main issue for LV is that this coming QB class does not seem to be nearly as deep as it was last year.

And it does feel like the Raiders had their eyes on a first-round QB in the 2024 NFL Draft, but with the Atlanta Falcons shockingly taking Michael Penix Jr, that threw them off, so they went with Brock Bowers.  I would guess that Shedeur Sanders ends up being the pick for the Raiders.  I’m not sure this team is nearly good enough to win another game this season.

It’s been a horrific head-coaching tenure for Antonip Pierce, who probably should not have been named the head coach in the first place.  Can the Raiders figure themselves out in 2025 and beyond?

30. New York Jets (3-10)

You would think that a 3-10 team like the New York Jets would have a pick inside the top-4 in the upcoming draft, but that is far from the case.  The Jets currently hold the seventh overall pick in April’s draft, which isn’t going to be high enough for Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, and may not be high enough for Travis Hunter or Mason Graham, who could be the two best non-QB players in the NFL Draft.

The Jets are a mess, and while they played a good game in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins, their defense was just nowhere to be found on the Dolphins game-tying field goal drive and their game-winning TD drive in overtime.

Aaron Rodgers did play well, but I’m not sure that’s good for anytginf at this point.  New York needs to hit the reset button in a big way and build for the future.  They’re just in a tough spot, as it seems like the 2024 NFL Draft was the year to get a QB, as the 2025 NFL Draft’s QB class does not feel strong.

29. New England Patriots (3-10)

Losing three-straight games heading into their Week 14 bye, the New England Patriots have definitely suffered from some poor coaching decisions this season.  However, they also may have struck gold with rookie QB Drake Maye, who has done just about everything you could ask of him given the situation.

In building for the future, the New England Patriots have to build from the inside, out.  This team needs multiple starters along their offensive line, including a franchise left tackle.  This team also needs to rebuild their WR room after that.  With some high draft picks and a ton of cap space coming in future years, the Pats could build this thing the right way and be a force by the time the 2026 NFL Season rolls around.

New England has been among the worst teams in the NFL for two years in a row now, and I know this is not something that Patriots fans are used to.  This is just how teams get sometimes.  New England has always been lowly ranked in our NFL power rankings, so nothing has changed.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10)

A pretty useless win for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14, they grab their third win of the season and no longer have the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which is less than ideal.  If nothing else, the Jags do have a good QB in Trevor Lawrence, but if we’re being honest, has Lawrence been as good as we thought?

The Jags won’t be taking a QB in the 2025 NFL Draft; they need more playmakers on either side of the ball, but they could elect to bolster the trenches.  In the NFL, once you have the QB, you need to build the rest of the roster from the inside, out, and being that Trevor Lawrence could end up being a very good QB in the right situation, it would be a good idea for the Jags to bolster their trenches.

They hold the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and have never been very high in our NFL power rankings.

27. Tennessee Titans (3-10)

Having now lost two games in a row, the Tennessee Titans were never a good team to begin with in the 2024 NFL Season, but if nothing else, Will Levis has shown enough to perhaps warrant being brought back as the starter in 2025.  The Titans are one of a bunch of 10-loss teams in the NFL this season, so they aren’t alone in being awful.

Tennessee traded DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs before the NFL Trade Deadline, so the WR positon could be a huge position of need for this team in 2025.  Currently, they hold the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and may me able to land a top WR prospect like Tetairoa McMillan.

The Titans could be a sneaky team in 2025 to breakout a bit if Levis can take another jump next season.

26. Chicago Bears (4-9)

Now 4-9 on the season and having lost seven games in a row, the Chicago Bears are broken.  They fired Matt Eberflus, their former head coach, after a massive debacle on national television on Thanksgiving Day.  The Bears have seen rookie QB Caleb Williams play pretty well to open up his career, but he’ll need to again embrace a new coaching staff.

Thomas Brown has gone from replacing Shane Waldron as the offensive coordinator to now acting as the interim head coach.  If you ask me, the Bears need someone like Mike Vrabel in the building.  He’s a no-nonsense head coach who simply knows how to get the most out of his players.  The Bears have slowly slid down our NFL power rankings.

Chicago could be a threat in 2025 if they hit the right staff, though.

25. Cleveland Browns (3-10)

If nothing else, the Cleveland Browns do play quite hard.  They are probably better than their 3-10 record indicates, but their season was pretty much over after their rocky start with Deshaun Watson to open up the 2024 NFL Season.  The Browns are probably 7-6 or 6-7 if Jameis Winston had started each game of the season. If nothing else, the Browns probably have one part of their QB room in 2025.

If you ask me, Cleveland needs to bring Winston back in 2025 and draft a QB in the 2025 NFL Draft.  And honestly, they should just tell Deshaun Watson to stay home.  That trade has turned into the worst sports transaction in the history of organized sports, so Cleveland needs to do what it takes to turn the page on that error of an era.

Winston had another up-and-down game in a Browns loss where his mistakes were the most crucial ones.  They now drop to 3-10 on the season and are somehow not really all that close to the no. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  They are one of many bad teams this year.

24. Atlanta Falcons (6-7)

Oh man, it might be time to have a conversation about Kirk Cousins, who has now thrown zero touchdowns against eight interceptions over the Atlanta Falcons last four games.  They’re 0-4 in those games and have now lost the NFC South division lead, which belongs to the 7-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This has turned into a disaster last month for the Falcons, who got their rear ends handed to them in Week 14 versus the Minnesota Vikings.  This was Cousins going back home to Minnesota, a place he played from 2018-2023, and a six-year period where he was a very efficient passer.

The Falcons are far from a playoff team at this point and would need a miracle to save their season.  It’s worth wondering where this team should go to Michael Penix Jr, their rookie draft pick, and in hindsight, it’s probably a great thing that Falcons GM Terry Fontenot took Penix with pick eight in the 2024 NFL Draft.  Atlanta is now 6-7 on the season.

23. Dallas Cowboys (5-7)

On Monday Night Football this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Dallas Cowboys are 5-7 on the season and lost QB Dak Prescott weeks ago to a torn hamstring that required surgery.  Going 12-5 in each of the last three seasons, they have been as dominant as any team, but the playoffs turn into a different story.  Dallas still can’t seem to get back to the conference championship game, and this year, they are just a bland team.

The defense has taken some time to get their legs under them, and the offense is missing at least three new starters at WR, RB, and along the offensive line.  The Cowboys did extend both Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, so they could just try and load up the roster for 2025.  If you ask me, it may actually benefit them more to try and blow it all up and start fresh, but I am not sure Jerry Jones will be able to stomach having to make that type of change.

22. Carolina Panthers (3-10)

Losers of three games in a row now, the Carolina Panthers might be the most encouraged 3-10 team in NFL history, as second-year QB Bryce Young seemed to have benefitted from the benching earlier in the season.  He’s playing with a ton of confidence, and has probably shut the door on any talk that the Panthers could take a QB with their top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Being that they are 3-10 on the year, they are still in range for the first overall pick, and you have to wonder what position they could be targeting.  Getting an alpha at WR or a blue-chip prospect at LT could be what this team is needing.

I would also think they want to add more juice to their pass rush as well.  While Young is not lighting up the stat sheet by any means, it’s clear that the second-year QB is playing some efficient football and is stacking some good performances together.  Carolina is clearly better than they were at any point last year.

21. New Orleans Saints (5-8)

I guess you can’t count the New Orleans Saints out?  They barely hung on to beat the New York Giants in Week 14, but Derek Carr left the game with an injury, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens going forward with Carr, who has been injured once already this season.

The Saints fired former head coach Dennis Allen several weeks ago and are now 5-8 on the season.  The NFC South is a weak division, so they’re only two games behind.  New Orleans would probably have to win-out to make it interesting, and it’s not likely that they’re able to do that.

New Orleans is in need of a rebuild, so while they could win more games down the stretch to close out the 2024 NFL Season, it should not change anything.  The team needs to move on from Derek Carr and try to offload some of their larger, veteran contracts.  The Saints could also turn to Spencer Rattler in 2025, as he’s got some enciting qualities.  The second Sean Payton walked out the door, this franchise should have rebooted, as it was clear very early on that Dennis Allen was not cut-out to be a head coach in this league, and I am not sure what Mickey Loomis was thinking when he signed Derek Carr.

A win against the worst team in the NFL in Week 14 does not change anything about this team.

20. Arizona Cardinals (6-7)

Now losers of three in a row, the Arizona Cardinals were 6-4 just a few weeks ago and were in first place in the NFC West.  Much has changed since then, and while the Cardinals are still a year away, it has been disappointing to see just how far this team has fallen.  The roster is missing considerable talent, and this team is just not yet ready.

We’ll see if Cards GM Monti Ossenfort can bring in the necessary talent needed for this team to get back on track.  Them having lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14 and now falling two games behind in the division does seem to spell the end of any talks of them winning the division, and the find Wild Card team in the NFC is also 8-5.

Arizona did win four games all of last year, so this team is still in a fine position, and we have to remember that they were rebuilding, so they weren’t really supposed to be any good this year.  I do firmly believe that the Cardinals are on the right track for the long-term, but they are slipping on the field and in our NFL power rankings.

19. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)

It’s odd that people are still trying to hold out hope that the Cincinnati Bengals could make the postseason this year.  They’re likely having to win-out to make that happen, and that’s not considering what the current Wild Card teams could do.  The Bengals would have to get to 9-8 and also would have to hope that the eight-win Broncos, Ravens, and Chargers all collapse.

It’s not going to happen, so let’s just not talk about the postseason with this team in 2024.  It’s clear what the Bengals need; they need to redo their defense and also work their tail off to extend Ja’Marr Chase as well.  It’s been a lost year for Joe Burrow, who is playing the best, most efficient football of his career in 2024.

If Cincy had an 8-4 record entering their bye week, Burrow would absolutely be the MVP frontrunner, which perhaps shows just how flawed the award is to begin with.  Cincy is 4-8 on th season entering MNF and are not a good team, period.

18. Indianapolis Colts (6-7)

On their bye in Week 14, the Indianapolis Colts season is hanging by a thread.  They play the Denver Broncos in Denver in Week 15, and if they were to lose that game, they’d drop to 6-8, and the Broncos would drop to 9-5.  That would effectively end their season, as in this instance, Indy would have no chance at passing the Broncos in the AFC standings, and they would have to hope that a team like the Los Angeles Chargers or Baltimore Ravens collapse.

A win in Week 15 does save their season for the time being.  The Miami Dolphins won in Week 14, so they’re also now 6-7 on the season.  It’s very likely that the Broncos are going to end up in the postseason, as that’s where the percentages are, but you just never know.

The Colts defense does need to play better, and Anthony Richardson also needs to figure out how to show up in the first three quarters.

17. San Francisco 49ers (6-7)

Still clinging to life in the NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers blew out the Chicago Bears in Week 14, and it was never close.  The Niners are banged-up, and that’s been the story of their season, and when you look at the big picture the team’s “down” years in the Kyle Shanahan era all seem to be due to injuries.

However, the 49ers have seen some of their foundational pieces not only get old, but have been the ones who have been hurt this year.  You have to wonder if their Super Bowl window slammed shut this year, as guys like Trent Williams, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and others have been hurt this year and are getting older.

And with Brock Purdy being due for a contract extension this coming offseason, this could be a huge period for the 49ers, and even if they find a way to scrape themselves into the postseason, they aren’t going to win a game and have some serious long-term needs to sort out.

16. Miami Dolphins (6-7)

The Miami Dolphins needed overtime to beat the New York Jets in Week 14, so while it was an exciting win that did save their season for the time being, the Dolphins are likely not close to being a playoff team at this point.  Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion a while back definitely put their season on the wrong track, but since his return, the Dolphins have been a good team.

Miami does not control their own destiny and would need the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts to falter down the stretch, which is very possible.  However, Miami does have some issues that they need to solve for the present and future.  This team totally falls apart in the cold weather, and are we sure that Tagovailoa is the guy to lead this franchise?

The Dolphins do have more questions than answers and have always been ranked lower in our NFL power rankings.  They are at Houston in Week 15, so that could be a huge test for the team.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6)

Now winners of three in a row, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are leading the NFC South and may not look back.  They could win the division for the second year in a row in the Baker Mayfield era, and the only viable threat they had coming into the season, the Atlanta Falcons, have lost four games in a row and are now 6-7 on the season.

The Falcons swept the Bucs earlier this year, so the only way Tampa Bay can win the division is if they finish with a better record than the Falcons, which they now have.  The Bucs do have an easier stretch of games to close out the 2024 NFL Season, so this team could have a ton of momentum heading into the playoffs.  They made it in 2023 and won a game as well.

The Bucs are 7-6 on the season and are rising in our NFL power rankings.

14. Washington Commanders (8-5)

Losing three of four games heading into the bye week, the 8-5 Washington Commanders hope to rebound when they take the field again in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints, who just lost QB Derek Carr to a broken non-throwing hand.  The Commanders started out pretty hot, but have since cooled down over the last month, and this has been a pretty scary trend for Kliff Kingsbury, who, between coaching at the collegiate and pro levels, does have an issue of being able to finish strong.

His teams tend to collapse down the stretch, and with the Commanders having gone 1-3 over their last four games, you just hope that this isn’t another example of Kingsbury and his collapses with his teams and offenses.  Even if it is, the Commanders have to love where they are for the long-term, as Jayden Daniels could turn into the best QB in the NFC East by the time the 2025 NFL Season rolls around, and they are still very much in a playoff spot in the NFC.

Life is good for the Washington Commanders despite their recent struggles.

13. Houston Texans (8-5)

On their bye in Week 14, the Houston Texans are the very overwhelming favorite to win the AFC South for the second year in a row.  We know that the Jaguars and Titans are out of it, but I guess if something crazy happens, the Colts could win the division. Being that Houston swept Indy earlier this year, the Colts would have to finish with a better record.

Houston hasn’t been all that good this year despite their 8-5 record, which I guess kind of tells us that this team could be truly great once they figure out their offensive line woes.  They’re still on the right track for the long-term, but they do not feel appreciably better than 2023 and could be in the middle of a sophomore slump type of season.

Nonetheless, Houston is very likely hosting a playoff game for the second year in a row, so let’s not overthink this.

12. Seattle Seahawks (8-5)

Beating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 and all but kicking them out of the NFC West race, the Seattle Seahawks are now 8-5 on the season and have won four games in a row.  They did begin the season 3-0, quickly found themselves at 4-5, and are now 8-5, so this team is clearly just riding the wave.

However, they do have a distinct ceiling with Geno Smith at QB, and it’s odd that people keep trying to make him into something.  Anyway, Seattle currently sit at the top spot in the NFC West, and at this rate, they could close out the division and win it in 2024.  The San Francisco 49ers sputtering big-time in 2024 has let teams like the Seahawks and Rams to make a run.

Seattle is home against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15, so that could be quite the game for this team.  That could be a true test of just how good this team can be late in the season, as Green Bay is a juggernaut.

11. Los Angeles Rams (7-6)

How about the Los Angeles Rams?  This team started the season 1-4, and they’re now 7-6 on the season.  Overcoming a ton of injuries earlier in the season, the Rams are back and just took down the Buffalo Bills.  This was a statement win for LA, as I am not sure any team in the NFC wants to see them in the first round of the playoffs.  The Rams do trail the Seattle Seahawks by a game, as they beat the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, but the Rams are the best team in the division.

We saw some vintage Matthew Stafford in this game, and it feels like the Rams are surging at just the right time.  I would probably feel safe picking them to win the NFC West this year, overtaking the Seahawks as the regular season progresses toward the postseason.  LA is also surging in our NFL power rankings.

10. Denver Broncos (8-5)

The Denver Broncos lost in a heartbreaking fashion in Week 10 to the Kansas City Chiefs.  So what did they do after that?  They won three games in a row and entered into their bye week at a strong 8-5 record.  They beat the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and Cleveland Browns into their Week 14 bye.

The Broncos are favored to make the playoffs this year, and in their Week 15 contest, they’ll face off against the Indianapolis Colts at home.  If they beat the Colts, Indy would lose that tiebreaker and would clinch their eighth loss of the season, which means that they would not be able to finish above the Broncos in the AFC playoff picture.

For the Colts, their Week 15 game against the Broncos is essentially their season.  And for the Broncos, they have proven a ton of doubters wrong this year.  Many thought that this team was going to win half of what they currently have, and it’s not crazy to suggest that Denver gets to 10 wins this season.

It’s been the defense and the Bo Nix show for the up-and-coming Broncos, who surely look here to stay.  They have steadily risen in our NFL power rankings.

9. Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)

Playing on Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs, LA will either be 9-4 or 8-5 when the sun rises on Monday, but I guess they could also be 8-4-1 if the game ends in a tie!  We haven’t had a tie this year, so you just never know.  The Chargers won five games all of 2023, and with largely the same exact roster, this team is right on the cusp of a winning season, and they are also very likely heading to the postseason as well.

The Chargers do not have the top-end talent on their roster to compete with the best teams in the AFC or in the NFL overall, but them being 8-4 with this group of players does kind of tell you just how good they can be if GM Joe Hortiz can inject this roster with some needed talent, especially on offense.

Justin Herbert has been efficient, the run game has been very good, and the defense has been the best in the NFL.  Just about everything is working for the LA Chargers in the 2024 NFL Season, so they should probably give the Chiefs some trouble on Sunday Night Football.

8. Baltimore Ravens (8-5)

On their bye in Week 14, the Baltimore Ravens are 8-5 and in a strong position to make the playoffs yet again, but with the Pittsburgh Steelers victory in Week 14, are now a solid two games behind Pittsburgh for the AFC North lead.  Baltimore is seeing QB Lamar Jackson play the best football of his career, but much like the Cincinnati Bengals, it’s the defense that is holding this team back.

However, the Ravens defense is not nearly as bad as the Bengals defense.  Notably, the Ravens lost former defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald to the Seattle Seahawks, and with the Seahawks victory in Week 14, they are 8-5 themselves and have won four games in a row.

Baltimore is very good and have always been high on our NFL power rankings, but this does not feel like a team that can make a run in the AFC.  They may have to travel for each postseason game, and they do not have the defense to pull that off.

7. Green Bay Packers (9-4)

If there was ever a good example of a team that is truly a year away, it’s the Green Bay Packers.  They now fall to 9-4 on the season, as they could not get it done against the Detroit Lions in Green Bay.  It was a valiant effort, but this is who the Packers are.  They’re a very good team, and they could win a playoff game or two, but this team is just not yet ready to win the Super Bowl.

It’s really had to pinpoint what the Packers are missing, but I guess it could just be boiled down to experience.  Jordan Love probably needs this year under his belt, and many of their main contributors are quite young.  Green Bay is now just about guaranteed to slide into a Wild Card seed in the NFC, but honestly, if this team was in mostly any other division in the NFL, they’d be the best.

Not only are they behind the Detroit Lions, but they’re also behind the Minnesota Vikings as well.  Still at 9-4 even with the loss, Green Bay is indeed a very viable team in the NFL and could be one of the few Wild Card teams that could make a playoff run this year.

6. Kansas City Chiefs (11-1)

Having won two games in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs will look to beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football.  The Chiefs 11-1 record is most definitely misleading, as this team has won some of the ugliest games you’ll see.  The secondary is also not that special, and once again, Patrick Mahomes has not been all that efficient this year.

However, they are simply finding ways to win games.  Some of their recent wins include a game-winning blocked field goal against the Denver Broncos, a game-winning field goal against the Carolina Panthers, and somehow benefitted from the Las Vegas Raiders muffed snap on their Black Friday game.

Let’s be honest; some of their wins this year are fluky, but they’re 11-1 for a reason and do hold the no. 1 overall seed in the AFC, so they are in line to again have a first-round bye.  Some have called the playoffs the “Arrowhead Invitational,” and while that could be annoying for certain fans, it’s accurate.  The AFC playoffs have gone through Kansas City in recent years.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3)

It’s never really pretty, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have won again and have clinched yet another double-digit winning season.  One of the main things that we talk about with this team is their ceiling in the postseason, as the QB position seems to be the weakest part of their roster, but at the same time, Russell Wilson is playing well.  Wilson is clearly past his prime, but he’s been efficient for Pittsburgh this year.

The momentum does seem to be trending in the direction that he returns to the team as their starter in 2025 on a multi-year deal.  The Steelers now move to 10-3 on the season and have a two-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North lead.  Pittsburgh also beat Baltimore a few weeks ago, so the Steelers are in great position here down the stretch.

They also play a type of game that could allow them to hang with any other team in the NFL if needed.

4. Minnesota Vikings (11-2)

How about the Minnesota Vikings?  A blowout win in Week 14 over the Atlanta Falcons now gives them six wins in a row, and very quietly keeps them alive in the NFC North.  I think we’re all kind of guilty of talking about the Detroit Lions that we’re forgetting that Minnesota is just one game behind them, and they’re doing it with Sam Darnold at QB.

The one thing that we keep mentioning with this team as the season goes on is whether this team is going to re-sign Darnold.  I mean, they are 11-2 and Darnold is still playing lights-out.  How could the Vikings be so sure that their rookie QB, who has already had two knee surgeries, would be able to do what Darnold is doing?

If you ask me, it’s probably wise to bring Darnold back on a deal similar to what Baker Mayfield got, and structure it so Darnold could be cut after two years, which still gives them a possibility to move on easily.  That would not hamper them financially for the long-term in the event that Sam Darnold forgets how to play football.

3. Buffalo Bills (10-3)

This was a game that the Buffalo Bills absolutely did not need to lose.  Buffalo drops to 10-3 on the season and could drop to two games below the Kansas City Chiefs depending on how their Sunday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Chargers goes.  Buffalo beat the Chiefs a few weeks ago, so the only way that KC could earn a better seed than Buffalo is if the Chiefs finish with the better record.

Buffalo sometimes can’t get out of their own way, as their defense was atrocious in this loss to the LA Rams.  Josh Allen had the first six-touchdown game of his career, and they lost!  This type of loss, to me, is kind of why I have believed for some time now that Buffalo isn’t going to win a Super Bowl in this current era.

We’ll see if the postseason brings anything different, but it’s shaping up to be a situation where Buffalo may again have to go into Kansas City to try and beat the Chiefs, which is something they have not done in the postseason in the Josh Allen era.  Buffalo is still a very good team, but this loss was just ugly and not something this team with Super Bowl hopes needed to have this late in the season.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2)

The Philadelphia Eagles have now won nine games in a row and somehow do not have the longest winning streak in the NFL, let alone their own conference.  The Carolina Panthers did give them fits in Week 14, but the Eagles are a good team and just find ways to win at this point.  This latest win gives them 11 on the season and still puts them one game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC.

The Eagles probably need to secure the no. 1 seed in the NFC if they want to get back to the Super Bowl, a place they were in 2022, but this has been a nice stretch for the team since starting 2-2 through four games to open up the 2024 NFL Season.

1. Detroit Lions (12-1)

How about the Detroit Lions?  Despite all of their injuries on defense and just the grueling nature of the NFL season, the team keeps finding ways to win.  They’ve now won 11 games in a row, which is obviously the longest streak in the NFL.  It feels like it’s only a matter of time before we see the Lions in the Super Bowl this season.

The only other team in the NFC who could potentially dethrone the Lions season is the Philadelphia Eagles, but it does almost feel like this Lions team is a team of destiny.  They move to 12-1 on the season and now have a very good shot at winning the NFC North.  Since they have swept the Green Bay Packers, the only way the Packers could pass them in the standing is if GB finishes 13-4 and the Lions finish 12-5, which likely isn’t happening.

There you have it, our latest NFL power rankings. Did your team make a jump, or are they tumbling down our rankings?
