Week 3 of the 2025 NFL Season was truly incredible, so let's try and sort it all out with our latest power rankings. It's about that time already, as our NFL power rankings are back as Week 3 closes out and we make our way to Week 4.

Monday Night Football still has to hit us, as it's the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens in what could truly be a Super Bowl matchup this year. But back to the Week 3 games we have saw; there were some insane walk-off finishes and some incredible blowouts as well, which is something.

Overall, we are hitting the point in the season where some of the league's best and worst teams will begin sorting themselves out, as the quarter-mark of the season is really not all that far away. Let's get into our latest NFL power rankings.

Latest NFL Power Rankings following intense action in Week 3

32. New Orleans Saints (0-3)

Well, that happened. The New Orleans Saints continue to operate as the worst team in the NFL, and it’s not close. The Seattle Seahawks blew out the Saints on Sunday afternoon, and the Saints really have a lot of soul-searching to do, and the soul-searching should start with GM Mickey Loomis.

Frankly, I believe the Saints need a fresh start and need a new voice to rebuild this team and lead the charge. Kellen Moore is a first-year head coach and is getting the short end of the stick with this team in the 2025 NFL Season.

31. Tennessee Titans (0-3)

Another loss for the Tennessee Titans drops this team to 0-3 on the season, and it’s going to keep looking like this. The Titans took Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but this entire operation is simply in a rebuilding mode, so they weren’t going to be competitive.

And again, it doesn’t seem like Brian Callahan and his staff is the right staff for the job, so unless something begins to turn around, I would not be shocked to see GM Mike Borgonzi cleaning house on the sidelines and hiring a different regime to develop Cam Ward.

You hate to go this far, but the Titans almost feel like a ‘free win’ for most of their opponents, and in Week 3, they saw the shockingly good Indianapolis Colts pick them apart.

30. New York Jets (0-3)

Among the worst teams in the NFL right now, the New York Jets fell to 0-3 in Week 3 and lost a stinker of a game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Justin Fields was not playing in this game, but instead it was Tyrod Taylor under center. Taylor might actually be a better QB than Fields, but even if that is the case, the Bucs were going to win this game unless something major happened.

It’s going to be another long, painful year for the New York Jets. Aaron Glenn is going to again have to wait another week for his first win, and it’s not much of a surprise. This team is missing a franchise QB, and I am personally not sure Glenn was that good of a hire.

Now sure, the Jets’ comeback was something to behold, but a loss is a loss.

29. Miami Dolphins (0-3)

It’s only a matter of time before the Miami Dolphins begin to blow this thing up and become heavy sellers as the NFL trade deadline approaches. This franchise simply has no juice and no clear identity.

Mike McDaniel does not appear to be the man for the job, and Tua Tagovailoa is the definition of average. Miami did have a nice run for a couple of seasons, but it’s clear how unsustainable that was. The Dolphins have to begin winning immediately, or I believe we could see some major changes. Miami continues to stumble in our NFL power rankings.

28. Houston Texans (0-3)

So, it now does seem like the Houston Texans are bad. The offense has been broken for over an entire season now, and CJ Stroud simply looks bad. It was their first loss in Jacksonville in quite some time, and it now does feel like the Texans are becoming a non-factor in the AFC South.

They are already three games behind the Indianapolis Colts in the division and now two games behind the Jaguars as well. Houston keeps tumbling down our NFL power rankings, and there isn’t a clear solution in sight for this broken operation.

27. New York Giants (0-2)

The New York Giants square off on Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs, and while I am typing this before the game begins, the Giants can hang around here and pull off the upset. The G-Men will be able to throw the ball down the field with Russell Wilson, and Malik Nabers might currently be the best offensive player on the field.

New York isn’t going to be consistent enough on offense to do a ton of damage all year, but they do field a fierce defensive line, so I reckon Patrick Mahomes is going to be running for his life on SNF. Despite this, overall, the Giants are one of the weaker teams in the NFL in 2025.

26. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)

The Atlanta Falcons managed to beat the Minnesota Vikings in primetime in Week 2, but somehow lost in blowout fashion to the Carolina Panthers, which just isn’t ideal. The NFC South is shaping up to be a wide-open division outside of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so the Dirty Birds already having two losses in the division is just brutal for their chances.

They could absolutely bounce back, as Michael Penix Jr is still quite early in his NFL career, but they’ve got to begin turning this thing on quickly. You figure that GM Terry Fontenot could be shown the door if the Falcons don’t make anything of 2025, so two-straight divisional losses and a 1-2 start is about as bad as you could possibly get in 2025.

The Falcons fall in our latest NFL power rankings after an encouraging Week 2 win.

25. Carolina Panthers (1-2)

Did anyone expect a Carolina Panthers blowout win in Week 3? It’s a huge win for the Panthers and the first of the 2025 NFL Season. The bigger story here might simply be just how bad the Atlanta Falcons looked, but a win is a win no matter how it does down.

The Panthers are in a tight spot, and this is especially true for third-year QB Bryce Young. The clock has never ticked faster for Young, as year three is typically a ‘put up or shut up’ type of season for many QBs.

Carolina needs to see their young QB turn it on, and turn it on rather quickly. The Panthers may also have to begin stacking some wins as well, as the regime that drafted Young is now two-years removed from being on the job.

A win for the Panthers in Week 3 gives them their first of the 2025 NFL Season. Do they have more in store?

24. Cleveland Browns (1-2)

So yeah, that happened. The Cleveland Browns are now 1-2 on the season after a walk-off field goal against the Green Bay Packers. It’s the first win of the year for the Browns, and they were bound to get one. They won’t accomplish much with Joe Flacco at QB, but they can hang around some games.

Cleveland is building for the future and is likely going to take a huge swing on a QB in the 2026 NFL Draft. Right now, this team is far from a finished product, but they can be fun with how stingy their defense is.

23. New England Patriots (1-2)

It’s early, but the New England Patriots just don’t look like a well-coached team at all. I’ve been high on this team for a while, but the early returns aren’t looking all that great. Drake Maye was throwing the ball all over the place, so that’s at least something.

But the harsh truth of this situation is that this might be a bit of a longer process than some who were high on the team expected. Mike Vrabel is a good head coach, but in many instances, things in the NFL don’t change overnight, and I reckon that might be the case with the Patriots.

We’ll see if they have a mid-season turnaround. There are still 14 regular season games left, so a lot can change.

22. Las Vegas Raiders (1-2)

The Las Vegas Raiders are bad. This is a bad, horrible, terrible football team. Vegas lost to Marcus Mariota and the Washington Commanders in Week 3, and it really wasn’t very close. The Raiders have a fragile, hollow roster and a below-average QB in Geno Smith.

The Commanders don’t even have a noteworthy roster by every stretch of the imagination, but this unit is well-coached and can out-scheme their opponents in most weeks. The Raiders are going to be among the worst teams in the NFL as the season goes on, and them losing two games in a row like this is not surprising.

It’s tough-sledding right now. The Raiders continue to fall in our NFL power rankings as Week 3 closes out with Monday Night Football.

21. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1)

The Cincinnati Bengals are now a bad football team. A rough outing against the Minnesota Vikings drops them to 2-1 on the season, but it truly feels like this team is 0-3. Joe Burrow is likely missing the rest of the season with his turf toe injury, and Jake Browning just isn’t going to cut it.

The Bengals should see if they can pry Kirk Cousins away from the Atlanta Falcons, but some may not think that Cousins is a better option than Browning at this point. It’s really a shame, as Cincy did add a ton of talent this offseason and finally seemed to get moderately-serious about fielding a competitive team.

The Bengals drop in our power rankings.

20. Dallas Cowboys (1-2)

That was a disappointing effort from the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. After a dramatic win over the New York Giants in Week 2, the Cowboys remind all of us why they get made fun of.

The Cowboys do have a good enough team to remain in most games, but you can also see how this team can get lost if the circumstances are not right. Frankly, I would not expect Dallas to win a ton of games this year, and at the end of the day, them starting 1-2 is not much of a surprise and is probably expected.

What will have to change for the Dallas Cowboys to start winning again?

19. Chicago Bears (1-2)

Caleb Williams threw for four touchdowns and nearly 300 yards in a breakout party for the Chicago Bears in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, and for a short time, the chatter might stop regarding the Bears and if they are going to be a dysfunctional mess.

The Bears have a fierce fanbase, but as long as they can stack some wins, everything will be OK for a short time. Chicago rises in our NFL power rankings and might begin to put things together if what we saw in Week 3 is actually the real deal.

18. Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and I would not be shocked if the Chiefs lost this game. They are not a good football team right now and have a ton of issues that they need to fix.

However, many of their issues are personnel-related, so it’s not like there is a clear solution available. I would not be shocked to see GM Brett Veach making a trade for a notable offensive player, but it might be a few weeks before something like that materializes.

Kansas City has to begin stacking some wins, and it has to happen quickly.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1)

Don’t look now, but the Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-1 after a nice divisional win over the Houston Texans. It’s a huge step in the right direction for this franchise, but it’s clear that head coach Liam Coen has a lot to clean up, and the Jaguars are simply far from a complete product.

The roster itself is just OK, and Trevor Lawrence just hasn’t looked all that good in a while. Sure, the countless drops by his playmakers don’t help, but it’s not like Lawrence has been a slam-dunk franchise QB since entering the league.

With the Indianapolis Colts now 3-0, the Jaguars have an uphill battle, but through three weeks, it currently feels like the Texans and Titans are non-factors. Jacksonville rises in our power rankings as Week 3 closes out.

16. Denver Broncos (1-2)

You have to wonder what would need to change for the Denver Broncos to start winning these close games, but for now, it’s a mystery. On paper, Denver has a ton of talent, so that could make someone believe that the head coach or quarterback might not be quite as good as we think.

Overall, the Broncos might end up being fine, as they were 1-2 through three games in the 2024 NFL Season and finished with 10 wins. They also do have some beatable opponents coming up and could easily get back to .500 with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4 on Monday Night Football.

I can only imagine how irritated the players must be after this game, as it’s the same exact way this team lost in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts.

15. Arizona Cardinals (2-1)

The Arizona Cardinals lose their first game of the 2025 NFL Season in a one-point loss against the San Francisco 49ers. With the Rams and the Seahawks both losing and winning, we see the 49ers now as the lone unbeaten team in the division, and all of the Rams, Cardinals, and Seahawks are 2-1.

This division race could be heating up and might remain heated all season. All four teams could have a legitimate reason to win, but I do wonder just how high of a ceiling the Cardinals would have with Kyler Murray at QB. The roster itself is also good and nothing more, so it’s important to note that as well.

The Cardinals, though, are still above .500 and in a good spot overall.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1)

A nice win for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a hostile environment brings them to 2-1 on the season. Aaron Rodgers has already thrown three interceptions, and that is simply uncharacteristic for him, but he still appears to be good enough for this team to win some games.

And with the Steelers, this is another year of them being a high-floor, low-ceiling team. They’re a shoo-in for nine or 10 wins, but not much else. Furthermore, Aaron Rodgers is likely retiring following the 2025 NFL Season, so Pittsburgh is going to be in the same exact spot they are in now. There isn’t much else to say with the Steelers.

13. Seattle Seahawks (2-1)

The Seattle Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 and now move to 2-1 on the season after the victory. I am not sure how to feel about Seattle, as it seems like they got worse in the offseason, but did they?

It’s just an odd situation, and I think much of the uncertainty is with Sam Darnold. Sure, he can be an effective QB, but just how effective can he be? We saw how good he could be last year, but I believe that was the ultimate best-case scenario for most any QB.

Only time will tell, but I get the sense that Seattle is just an NFC version of the Pittsburgh Steelers; a low-ceiling, high-floor team. Am I wrong?

12. Minnesota Vikings (2-1)

Well, that happened. It feels like any QB the Minnesota Vikings bring in is going to play well as long as they are with the team. With JJ McCarthy out, the Vikings turned to Carson Wentz, who quite literally just signed with the team.

Minnesota is now 2-1 on the season after a solid win over the Cincinnati Bengals, who are missing Joe Burrow. The QB situation in Minnesota has been interesting, as it seems like they would not have minded Sam Darnold back, and JJ McCarthy’s status really seems to be unknown at this point.

They have a win-now roster, and with McCarthy obviously not being a finished product, how do you go about this QB situation if he returns healthy but Wentz is still playing well? It’s not the worst situation in the world, but it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.

11. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)

Don’t look now, but the San Francisco 49ers are 3-0 on the 2025 NFL Season and are, well, playing extremely well given their circumstances. Brock Purdy has missed two games this year, but Mac Jones has filled in quite well.

The Niners have been decimated by injuries, and it’s just something that Kyle Shanahan and his staff have not been able to overcome. On paper, the Niners have an easier schedule and should be able to stack a bunch of wins.

Them winning their first three games is a great headstart this season, as it keeps them firmly in the divisional race and obviously the broad NFC playoff race as well. San Francisco is rising in our NFL power rankings as Week 3 ends.

10. Washington Commanders (2-1)

This was a nice, rugged, tough win for the Washington Commanders, Dan Quinn’s bloody nose suffered during the game honestly encapsulates this team. On paper, they actually aren’t the most talented on paper and were missing Jayden Daniels.

However, Marcus Mariota is a capable QB and might honestly be better than a handful of starting passers in the league right now. The Commanders were right to keep Daniels out of the lineup, as the Raiders were and are a weak team, so it’s clear that not only did they like their chances, but that this team is playing the long game.

Daniels might be back for Week 4 as well. All in all, this was a solid week for the Washington Commanders.

9. Detroit Lions (1-1)

After losing a big divisional matchup in Week 1, the Detroit Lions beat up on the Chicago Bears in their home opener in Week 2. The Lions are trying to not skip a beat after losing Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson to head coaching jobs this offseason. Detroit has won the NFC North two years in a row now and may have to fend-off the Green Bay Packers when it’s all said and done, as the Vikings and Bears are shaky.

Detroit’s Monday Night Football showdown against the Baltimore Ravens could tell us a lot about this team and just how good they can be in the 2025 NFL Season.

Talent-wise, they might be the best squad in the NFL, but teams do typically have a hard time rebounding after losing both coordinators to head coaching jobs

8. Los Angeles Rams (2-1)

You just cannot imagine a worse way to lose, can you? I am especially surprised the Rams lost this game given how good their roster is and given how good of a head coach Sean McVay has been. But alas, the Rams weren’t able to get it done and had their potential game-winning field goal blocked as time expired.

The Rams losing this game does not change their status among the NFC, though, but this does give the head-to-head tiebreaker to the Eagles if that ends up being a factor. If both Philly and LA went 12-5 and won their divisions, the Eagles would get the higher seed.

Anyway, the Rams lose a game in a fashion I just did not expect, but they’ll rebound.

7. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

The Philadelphia Eagles mounted an amazing comeback against the Los Angeles Rams and keep their unbeaten streak alive. It was quite the second half for the Eagles, and it was sealed with a game-winning blocked field goal, because of course.

The Eagles still do feel a bit gimmicky, and I am not afraid to say that, but they simply find ways to win football games, and that is what matters the most in the NFL. On the flip side, the LA Rams lose a massive heartbreaker after trending toward the game actually being a blowout loss for the Eagles.

Philly, to the chagrin of many, keeps winning games.

6. Los Angeles Chargers (3-0)

It might now be time to talk about the Los Angeles Chargers as a serious team to win the AFC West this year. They had three-straight divisional games to open up the 2025 NFL Season and have now won them all.

Kansas City, Las Vegas, and now Denver have fallen to the Chargers, and it feels like their division to lose. Justin Herbert wasn’t great in the win, but he was good when it mattered the most, and the Chargers are now staring down at everyone.

If the Chiefs were to win on Sunday Night Football, they would improve to 1-2, and it would make all of KC, Denver, and Vegas two games behind the Chargers. What a season it’s been for LA. They move up in our latest NFL power rankings.

5. Green Bay Packers (2-1)

In what was likely going to be a sloppy-but-fine Packers’ win, the Cleveland Browns decided they had other ideas and wanted to kick a game-winning goal. If nothing else, the Packers are still 2-1 on the season and do have two huge NFC wins to open up the season, so they’re in a good spot.

However, if Green Bay does end up winning the NFC North this year, the top playoff seedings will surely come down to a game or two, and Green Bay could look back at this Week 3 disappointment and think they should have won this one.

The Browns are simply not a huge threat this year, and Green Bay knows this should have been a win.

4. Indianapolis Colts (3-0)

We might all owe an apology to the Indianapolis Colts. Now yes, this team beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, but they put up 41 points and continued to put great football on tape for the world to see. Daniel Jones has been excellent this year, and the defense is doing plenty enough to put the offense in positions to win.

And all of a sudden, the Colts now have a three-game lead over the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, and even though the Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-1, Indy feels a lot better.

It’s been a year to remember thus far for the Colts, and there are a ton of people who are currently being proven very, very wrong. Shane Steichen and Daniel Jones might actually be a duo that can work together.

3. Baltimore Ravens (1-1)

The Baltimore Ravens host the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, and this figures to be one of the best games of the NFL season thus far. The Ravens and Lions both dropped disappointing games in Week 1, only to bounce back in Week 2.

With how the AFC North looks thus far, the Ravens should be able to separate themselves in the division and again score a top-4 seed in the AFC playoffs. Baltimore has not won multiple games in the postseason since 2012, so something has to change.

Lamar Jackson is likely going to put on a show and is an all-time great QB at this point. A well-oiled machine, Baltimore has been near the top of every power ranking for years now.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 3-0 after a nice win over the New York Jets in Week 3. The Bucs are a well-oiled machine; this team is well-coached and have a spectacular front office that has meshed the NFL Draft and free agency perfectly.

So many of their key players were drafted, but others have also been signed in free agency. I am not sure the Bucs are capable of winning a Super Bowl, as the duo of Baker Mayfield and Todd Bowles really isn’t anything overly special compared to other top duos in the NFC, but they again should be able to win the NFC South this year.

The Buccaneers should end up finishing with 10-12 wins and another top-4 seed in the NFC. It was trending toward being a blowout, but they managed to pull through.

1. Buffalo Bills (3-0)

The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 after a ho-hum win over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. Buffalo continues to remain as one of the top teams in the NFL, and at this point, the regular season is just a formality - Buffalo probably prefers to just fast-forward to the playoffs, and for good reason.

The rest of the AFC East looks quite awful thus far, and the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t exactly looked like a great team. This could be the best chance that the Bills have at actually making a Super Bowl run.

There isn’t much more to say - Buffalo is a juggernaut.
