The 2024 NFL Draft is just three short months away, and the mock drafts are pouring in. Let's do our biggest one to date, making it two full rounds with trades. On one side of the coin, mock drafts give us NFL folks somewhat of an idea what the teams could do when the draft comes around. On the other hand, we truly do not know what these teams will do when April rolls around.

And I don't think the teams themselves truly know for sure. Well, what we can do in the meantime is to try and put the best possible mock draft out there. I do think the first four or so picks are almost locked in, but after that, it could be total chaos. This draft is also very deep at positions like wide receiver and cornerback, it seems.

So, let's put together a two-round 2024 NFL Mock Draft with trades.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Full two-round mock draft with trades
1. Chicago Bears - Caleb Williams, QB, USC

I don't think there is any other right move the Chicago Bears can make besides drafting Caleb Williams and trading Justin Fields. There is no justification for sticking with Fields, as he has hardly grown as a passer, and has thrown 30 interceptions in 40 games. There's not a lot to like with Fields as a franchise QB.

Caleb Williams steps into the NFL, most likely, as one of the top-16 QBs in the league. The Bears should trade Justin Fields to the highest bidder.

2. Washington Commanders - Drake Maye, QB, UNC

Drake Maye seems to be the consensus No. 2 ranked QB in this year's draft class, but I could see why some people may have him as the No. 1 ranked passer. He's the most complete prospect, and I have seen people already compare him to Justin Herbert. The Washington Commanders desperately need someone like Drake Maye to save their franchise.

3. New England Patriots - Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

I'm sure the New England Patriots would love to draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, but they will have to settle for Jayden Daniels. But the funny part is, the Patriots are nowhere near setting by drafting this year's Heisman Trophy winner. Jayden Daniels' collegiate career is actually quite similar to that of Joe Burrows. I just find that fascinating.

The Patriots have gotten bottom-of-the-barrel QB play from Mac Jones over the last two seasons, and it is beyond time to pull the plug on that experiment.

4. Arizona Cardinals - Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State

The Arizona Cardinals may have considered drafting a QB if they were picking No. 1 or No. 2 overall in my opinion, but I do think the franchise and new regime is perfectly happy with Kyler Murray as their guy for the long-term. Murray is one of the few true dual-threat passers in the NFL, and the Cardinals would be doing him a huge favor by drafting arguably, the best overall prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft in Marvin Harrison Jr.

He's the son of, you guessed it, Marvin Harrison. He's also 6'4", so you have great size with Harrison, and a true WR1 at the next level.

5. Los Angeles Chargers - Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Brock Bowers is a freak at tight end and is a much-needed target in the passing game for Justin Herbert. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are both older and cannot consistently stay healthy, so the Chargers definitely need a top target for Herbert. Bowers is from Georgia, so he's played the best competition in college.

6. New York Giants - Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

The New York Giants would benefit from drafting Malik Nabers, who comes from the wide receiver factory at LSU. The Giants have this weird thing going on with their WR room. If the talent at WR was only based on how many WR4-type players a team has, the Giants would be the best. The team doesn't have a true WR1 in the building, and whoever is playing QB for them in the long-term needs a legitimate target to throw to.

The offensive line also needs a ton of help as well, but the No. 6 pick is not going to be a great spot for that. The Giants could always trade down.

7. Tennessee Titans - Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The Tennessee Titans are another team that needs to get their OL fixed. Starting with the left tackle spot would be smart, so at No. 7, they will select Olu Fashanu, a freakishly technically-sound prospect. Fashanu is going to slide in immediate and be the blindside protector for Will Levis.

8. Atlanta Falcons - Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

I have a hunch that in 2024, the Atlanta Falcons will have Bill Belichick as their head coach and Kirk Cousins playing QB. In that case, they perhaps would not have to take a first-round QB but instead could continue to bolster their defense. That's where Jared Verse comes into play. In this mock draft, he is the first defensive player taken.

9. Chicago Bears - Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

The Chicago Bears shock us a little bit by taking Joe Alt at their No. 9 pick. The No. 1 pick they selected Caleb Williams with originally belonged to the Carolina Panthers. The No. 9 overall pick is the Bears own selection. Many mock drafts I have personally seen have a WR mocked to the team with this pick, but I think they could also opt to land a top LT prospect in Joe Alt, who comes from a very good school that has spit out a ton of quality offensive linemen in the NFL.

10. New York Jets - Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

The New York Jets biggest needs are at wide receiver and along the offensive line at tackle. Protecting Aaron Rodgers is the most important thing for this team, but with Fashanu and Alt off the board, the Jets stand firm at No. 10 and select a big-bodied target in Rome Odunze from Washington.

11. Minnesota Vikings - JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan

I think the beginning of the teens is where we could see another run on QBs. The Vikings are able to nab JJ McCarthy from Michigan with their No. 11 pick. McCarthy is very gifted physically and has an elastic arm. He can make every throw on the field and would be in great hands with HC Kevin O'Connell.

12. Denver Broncos - Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

Bo Nix might be the perfect player for Sean Payton's offense, and the Broncos don't even have to move up to get who they may have No. 1 on their board. Realistically, the Broncos are not going to be able to draft Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, or Jayden Daniels, but Nix might be perfect for them. He's also someone who has played enough college football that he could start Week 1 of the 2024 NFL Season.

13. Las Vegas Raiders - Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

I think the Vikings, Broncos, and Raiders could all be battling it out for QBs in the first round. Perhaps each team risks it and stays within their current spots. With the Raiders hiring Antonio Pierce, I think he wants to make an immediate mark with this team and bring in a viable young QB to perhaps mold into an eventual franchise passer.

14. Cincinnati Bengals (via NOR) - Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State

Honestly, the Cincinnati Bengals might benefit most from doing some type of tag-and-trade scenario with Tee Higgins, who is a free agent in 2024. I am sure they'd like to bring Higgins back, but the best thing for the team in the long-term might be to trade Higgins for a nice haul and reset with someone like Keon Coleman.

Tyler Boyd is also a free agent, so the Bengals could be pretty thin at WR if they do not address it in free agency.

15. Indianapolis Colts - Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

I think the Indianapolis Colts are going to be in great hands on offense with Anthony Richardson and Shane Steichen. Their defense is definitely a unit that I worry about, so the Colts decided to draft Laiatu Latu out of UCLA with their first-round pick, giving a boost to the pass rushing unit.

16. Dallas Cowboys (via SEA) - Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU

The Dallas Cowboys make a very Dallas Cowboys move and draft a wide receiver in the first round of this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. It is a bit hard to pinpoint the true issue with the team, but I guess it can not hurt getting more explosive on the outside. Outside of CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys don't really have a viable, consistent WR2, so the postion is most certainly a need in 2024.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars - JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The Jacksonville Jaguars definitely need to add some help along their offensive line. They took fellow tackle Anton Harrison in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and now double-down on the offensive line with the selection of Latham, a mountain of a man. I think we could see some players along the OL shift positions to eventually land on a strong starting lineup.

18. New Orleans Saints (via CIN) - Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

For years, it seemed like the New Orleans Saints had strong tackle play. Well, the future at that spot could be shaky unless they add to it this offseason. Left tackle Trevor Penning has not developed like the way they had hoped, and right tackle Ryan Ramcyzk seems to be dealing with a lingering knee problem that could even end his career.

The Saints are also stuck with Derek Carr for another year, so they should look to make the most of this era and also have an eye for the future, so they take Taliese Fuaga from Oregon State at No. 18.

19. Los Angeles Rams - Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Hey look, it's the Los Angeles Rams picking in the first round! They land arguably the best cornerback in the 2024 NFL Draft with the selection of Terrion Arnold, someone who excels in man coverage. CBs being able to be left on an island in coverage is a massive advantage for the defense, as that could help the pass rush get home. Sean McVay and Les Snead would be extremely happy with this selection.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

The Pittsburgh Steelers need a franchise QB. I think that position gets a bit more clear for them this offseason, but for now, in the 2024 NFL Draft, they will bolster their defense with the second Alabama cornerback off the board in a row with Kool-Aid McKinstry. McKinstry might be the most technically sound cornerback in this year's NFL Draft. His transition to the NFL should be rather smooth.

21. Detroit Lions (via MIA) - Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

The Detroit Lions are going to trade up a good bit in the first round to select Jared Verse from Florida State. In this mock draft, Verse falls a bit, and Lions GM Brad Holmes jumps on the chance to get Verse before anyone else does. The Detroit Lions have been a great story this year, but they are far from perfect. Verse might be the finishing touch on the defensive front for Detroit.

They'd still need to bring help in at the secondary positions, though.

22. Philadelphia Eagles - Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

The Philadelphia Eagles defense got worked this season, and poor cornerback play was a big reason for that. They stick at their spot in the first round and select one of the most complete defensive backs in this year's draft with Cooper DeJean.

23. Houston Texans - Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

One of the best things a team can do to develop and continue the development of a young QB is to surround them with quality weapons. Well, the Houston Texans strike gold with Texas' Adonai Mitchell in the first round. You could argue that the Texans could pick someone along the defensive line with this pick, but it's an offense-first league now, and the Texans have a wide open Super Bowl window.

24. Seattle Seahawks (via DAL) - Jer'Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

I think many people expected the Seahawks to show more progress this season, as they were a breakout team in 2022. Geno Smith regressed as a passer and the defense was not really much better. Seattle may be too far down in the first round to make a move for a QB, so they accepted a trade down with the Dallas Cowboys and were still able to land Jer'Zhan Newton, an undersized but talented DT from Illinois.

25. Green Bay Packers - Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

The Green Bay Packers looked like a team that was headed toward a rebuild about halfway through the 2023 NFL Season. However, something flipped for Jordan Love, as he morphed into one of the best passers in the NFL down the stretch. The entire direction of the Packers' franchise is now changed, so they look to build off of 2023 by selected some more protection for Love.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Troy Fautanu, OG, Washington

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were another surprising team this year, and it does look like they may have something with Baker Mayfield. Before the season, I think a lot of us had the Buccaneers picking very high in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they are slated to pick in the late-20s now. They'll land Troy Fautanu from Washington in this mock draft, who is likely going to have to transition to guard when he lands in the NFL.

27. Arizona Cardinals - Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

I think if you told Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort that he'd come out of the first round with Marvin Harrison Jr and Chop Robinson, he'd be over the moon. The Cardinals have a chance to get two cornerstone pieces with their two first-round selections. They don't make any moves up or down the draft board in 2024, but instead stay put and led the players fall to them.

28. Buffalo Bills - Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

Former star cornerback Tre White has hardly played for the Buffalo Bills over the last few years with various injuries. The Bills are also seeing a ton of free agents along the defensive line. Frankly, I think Buffalo might be in for a bit of a transition year. They'll stand pat at No. 28 and land one of the best players left on the board in Nate Wiggins.

29. Kansas City Chiefs - Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina

The Kansas City Chiefs need wide receiver help, to say the least. Xavier Legette is a big-bodied target and is a true downfield threat. He'd fit perfectly with Patrick Mahomes and stud rookie WR, Rashee Rice. This pick might be a bit of a reach, but the Chiefs are one of the few NFL franchises that have the luxury of doing this.

30. Miami Dolphins (via DET) - Graham Barton, OG, Duke

Graham Barton is probably needing to make a move inside to guard in the NFL. The Dolphins offensive line was ravaged by injuries this year, and they could benefit to add to the unit, even if it is fully healthy. A wide receiver would also be a viable pick here as well, but I opted to build up the Dolphins trenches instead.

31. San Francisco 49ers - Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

I think the San Francisco 49ers could prioritize a tackle with this first-round pick, as Trent Williams is getting older, and right tackle Colton McKivitz is just OK. However, the 49ers could also use a boost at their cornerback spot, and with how deep the CB class is, them being able to nab Kamari Lassiter at the bottom of the first round is a huge win for them.

32. Baltimore Ravens - Kalen King, CB, Penn State

The Baltimore Ravens are the most complete team in the NFL and can make a true luxury pick. I think wide receiver could be a target here, but the secondary could use another CB, so the Ravens stay put with their No. 32 pick and nab Kalen King from Penn State.

Second Round
33. Carolina Panthers - Xavier Worthy, WR, Texans

The Carolina Panthers make their first selection of the 2024 NFL Draft and get a wide receiver. Yeah, I don't think there is any other route for this team to go with their first pick besides WR. Rookie QB Bryce Young was throwing to deck furniture and umbrellas in 2023. They need to add competent weapons to get a fair evaulation on him.

34. New England Patriots - Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

The New England Patriots fielded phone calls from the Green Bay Packers to move down at the top of the second round, but a deal could not get done. The Patriots pick Ladd McConkey from Georgia with their second-round pick. McConkey could line up in the slot for the Pats, and he's under 6 feet tall. Doesn't this feel like a Patriots' selection?

35. Arizona Cardinals - Leonard Taylor, DT, Miami (FL)

I think one of the worst overall position groups in the NFL is the Arizona Cardinals defensive line. Well, in the first round, they added Chop Robinson, and in the second round, they will add a former five-start recruit in Leonard Taylor. Taking a big step on defense with Jonathan Gannon in 2024 is on the menu for the Cards.

36. Washington Commanders - Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

The Washington Commanders are now being GM-ed by Adam Peters, who came from San Francisco. The first two picks of the Peters' era will be a franchise QB and another wide receiver. Part of me thinks that the Commanders could trade Terry McLaurin, and perhaps do right for him since he has been trapped with the struggling franchise his entire career. Troy Franklin could help soften the blow from that hypothetical trade.

37. Los Angeles Chargers - Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami (FL)

Here's a blurb on Kamren Kinchens from Ian Cummings:

"Kinchens' playmaking ability is certainly one of his most exciting qualities, but that playmaking is also a byproduct of his ability to read the QB's eyes, manage space, and transition while channeling acceleration in zone. And at 5'11", 202 pounds, he has the size, angle IQ, and closing speed to be a support menace as well. "
Ian Cummings

I think the Los Angeles Chargers could have a quick turnaround on offense, but I don't necessarily think it'll be as easy on defense, so I mocked one of the best defensive backs in the 2024 NFL Draft to LA with their second-round pick.

38. Green Bay Packers (via TEN) - Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB, Clemson

The Green Bay Packers are going to move up a few spots in the second round to select the best inside linebacker in the 2024 NFL Draft. Jeremiah Trotter Jr, the Packers hope, can eventually be the type of enforcer in the middle like the elite LBs are in the NFL. Even though ILB isn't the most valuable position, we have seen the type of impact elite players at that position can have.

39. New York Giants - Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas State

Former Kansas State Wildcat Dalton Risner was also a second-round pick. He was drafted back in 2019. Cooper Beebe is going to start right away for the New York Giants. NY added a stud wide receiver in the first round and now they add some offensive line help. GM Joe Shoen is not messing around this offseason.

40. Washington Commanders - Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU

The Washington Commanders are pull out all the stops to ensure they get this offense fixed. The offensive line is quite bad, so drafting a high-end tackle prospect in Kingsley Suamataia is a smart move. Good NFL teams are build within the trenches.

41. Tennessee Titans (via GB) - Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

The Tennessee Titans need offensive line help. Notice a trend? Offensive line play is down across the NFL, so teams are going to prioritize that unit more and more. Titans' GM Ran Carthon made a bold move to fire Mike Vrabel, and continues to double-down on the offensive line with Tyler Guyton, a mountain of a man.

42. Minnesota Vikings - Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

The Vikings defense took a step forward in 2023 with Brian Flores running the show. The Vikes hope to keep their strong defensive play up in 2024 by selecting Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo in the second round.

43. Atlanta Falcons - Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota

The Atlanta Falcons make a bit of a surprising pick, but they nab the best player available in Tyler Nubin from Minnesota. He and Jessie Bates III can form the best safety tandem in the NFL.

44. Las Vegas Raiders - Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

The Las Vegas Raiders could use some tackle help, so they get Jordan Morgan from Arizona and will kick him to the right side. The Raiders recently hired Antonio Pierce to be their head coach, removing the interim tag.

45. Jacksonville Jaguars (via NOR) - T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas

The Jaguars recently hired Ryan Nielson to be their new defensive coordinator, and I think he'd pound the table for the 350lb T'Vondre Sweat. I think the trenches are where Jacksonville needs to improve this offseason.

46. Indianapolis Colts - Sedrick Van Pran, OC, Georgia

Offensive line help is always needed, and I think the Colts can look a bit to the future with this one, as current center Ryan Kelly is a free agent at the end of the 2024 NFL Season. Perhaps they could also try Sedrick Van Pran at one of the guard spots.

47. New York Giants - Trey Benson, RB, Florida State

I think the decision to re-sign Saquon Barkley was a puzzling one, and even though I am not a fan of taking running backs this high, the QB position in New York is a bit shaky, so I think adding as many weapons as possible is a smart move.

48. New Orleans Saints (via JAX) - Jaylan Ford, LB, Texas

The New Orleans Saints just need to get younger and cheaper, pretty much everywhere. I am not sure what the future looks like with their salary cap space, but chipping away by adding young talent should be a good start.

49. Cincinnati Bengals - TJ Tampa, CB, Iowa State

The Cincinnati Bengals have a ton of youth in their secondary, and it showed in 2023. Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo gets yet another young DB to work with. TJ Tampa has 19 passes defensed over his four-year college career.

50. Philadelphia Eagles - Jonathon Brooks, RB, Texas

51. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brandon Dorlus. EDGE, Oregon

52. Los Angeles Rams - Chris Braswell, EDGE, Alabama

53. Philadelphia Eagles - Ja'Lynn Polk, WR, Washington

54. Cleveland Browns - Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

55. Miami Dolphins - Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas

56. Seattle Seahawks (via DAL) - Jackson Powers-Johnson, OC, Oregon

57. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Patrick Paul, OT, Houston

58. Green Bay Packers - Bralen Trice, EDGE, Washington

59. Houston Texans - Zach Frazier, OC, West Virginia

60. Buffalo Bills - Michael Hall Jr, DT, Ohio State

61. Kansas City Chiefs - Ennis Rakestraw Jr, CB, Missouri

62. Miami Dolphins (via DET) - Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson

63. San Francisco 49ers - Beau Brade, S, Maryland

64. Baltimore Ravens - Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky

Finishing off the second round features a ton of very quality prospects. The Eagles look to add some help to their offense by selecting a running back and a wide receiver in round two. The Houston Texans add some more protection for CJ Stroud up front with Zach Frazier from West Virginia.

The Buffalo Bills instill a youth movement along their defensive line and nab Michael Hall Jr at the bottom of round two. The Ravens give Lamar Jackson another weapon on offense to perhaps build on his likely 2023 NFL MVP award. With the NFL Draft, there is just so much unknown with these selections.

There are unlimited possibilities that can happen when the draft starts. For the 2024 NFL Draft, I do think we see a ton of cornerbacks, pass rushers, and wide receivers go within the first two rounds. The QB class also has the potential to be great, so I think we could see a chunk of QBs go in rounds one and two as well.
