The 2024 NFL free agency class is absolutely loaded from top to bottom.
It’s always funny to look at the “offseason champions” or “paper champions” each year, and reflect on how much (or how little) free agency actually plays into great team-building. Most of the time, going after a bunch of big-money free agents is not the best way to do business, but you never know when those key veteran acquisitions are going to be the difference over the course of a season.
This is one particular year in which all bets may be off as far as free agency being a worthwhile endeavor for certain teams. There are so many notable names, it would be foolish not to dip your toes in the water.
Let’s take a look at the top 10 free agents at every position in the 2024 offseason, starting with the game’s most important position.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Quarterback
1. Kirk Cousins
Kirk Cousins is aging and coming off of a season-ending Achilles injury, but he’s probably still the most valuable free agent on the 2024 open market. Cousins has gone on record as saying he’s satisfied with the blessings he’s received financially, so I think he’ll truly be looking for the best fit to win a championship as opposed to looking to cash in. As is typically the case, expect a high-level starting QB like this to get the best of both worlds.
2. Baker Mayfield
The former number one overall pick had a nice bounce-back year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. The question now becomes whether Baker Mayfield is going to parlay that season into the best deal possible (even if it means leaving the Bucs) or if he’s going to do whatever it takes to remain in Tampa Bay. Considering Mayfield has never received a big-money contract, he should not settle for less than what Geno Smith got last year ($25M AAV).
3. Gardner Minshew
The Indianapolis Colts were a bit of a surprise team in 2023 given the circumstances, which included having to start Gardner Minshew in place of the injured Anthony Richardson for most of the year. Minshew had them in playoff contention to the bitter end, and I think it’s safe to say they didn’t always win in spite of him. Minshew should get an opportunity to start again somewhere in 2024.
4. Ryan Tannehill
The days of Ryan Tannehill being a quality QB1 are in the past, but someone looking for a bridge to a young QB could be interested. Although Tannehill’s tune two years ago was that he was not in the mood to mentor young guys, that might be his ticket to a job in 2024.
5. Jameis Winston
After getting off to a red-hot start in 2021, Jameis Winston hasn’t played much the last couple of years. He’s capable of being an effective short-term starter in the right situation, but will likely be perceived as more of a high-end backup.
6. Jake Browning
After Joe Burrow’s injury, I don’t think many people expected Jake Browning to keep the Bengals afloat for as long as he did. He proved he’s a high-quality backup for one of the QB collective teams. I’m sure the Bengals will try hard to bring him back.
7. Joshua Dobbs
From “Passtronaut” to “Asstronaut” in very little time. Joshua Dobbs was very good in 2023 given his set of circumstances, and I think teams should still view him as a relatively high-upside spot starter and quality backup going into 2024.
8. Drew Lock
The former second-round pick out of Missouri may have honed his skills a bit in Seattle, but what is the perception of Drew Lock around the league? Teams will be wary of how prone he is to turning the ball over, even though he’s an extremely likeable guy with the ability to provide a spark in a pinch, as we saw for the Seahawks against the Eagles last season.
9. Jacoby Brissett
If you’re looking for a relatively high-floor, low-ceiling option as a backup or short-term starter, Jacoby Brissett is your guy. He’s valuable to the quarterback room and probably would have been a better option in 2023 for the Commanders than Sam Howell, in all honesty.
10. Joe Flacco
I think you have to include Joe Flacco on this list and I’m sure some team is going to throw $5 million at him in 2024 after what he did for the Browns, throwing for over 320 yards per game and looking better than he has in almost 10 years. Flacco wasn’t even viewed as a quality backup at this time last year, but he’ll get a one-year deal somewhere.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Running Back
1. Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley has put together a really solid career with the Giants despite a bunch of injuries slowing him down. I think he’ll be one of the most coveted featured backs on the market, and he should land somewhere within the $12-16 million range per season.
2. Josh Jacobs
Just like other running backs who were franchise tagged last offseason, Josh Jacobs had a worse season statistically in 2023 than the year prior. Will that drive his value down? I think if Jacobs gets to the open market, he’ll have teams lined up to make him their RB1 going forward.
3. Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry will come with the “Ring Chaser” tag attached this offseason. I’m sure there will be teams eager to sign him, but Henry will need to be selective about fit. He doesn’t have much time left to win a championship in the NFL.
4. Austin Ekeler
Austin Ekeler looked like a shell of himself in 2023, and some team could be getting a bargain in free agency and a dynamic player with a chip on his shoulder.
5. Tony Pollard
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder here. I think Tony Pollard fits exceptionally well as a tandem back who can catch passes and provide explosive plays, but he’s not a traditional RB1 as we saw this past year in Dallas.
6. D'Andre Swift
The nice thing about D’Andre Swift at this point is that you know what you’re going to get. Is he spectacular? No, but he’s going to be an effective player on all three downs and should be able to get you over 1,000 yards from scrimmage.
7. Gus Edwards
Is Gus Edwards a better back than people think or is he truly just a great fit for the Ravens? It might not be in his best interests to find out what it’s like outside of Baltimore given how well things have gone for him there. He had 13 rushing touchdowns this past season.
8. Zack Moss
Part of the reason the Colts were able to win nine games this year is the way Zack Moss played in place of the injured Jonathan Taylor. He had over 900 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns this past year under Shane Steichen, the best numbers of his NFL career.
9. Ezekiel Elliott
The offense was so bad this year in New England as a whole that it’s hard to view anyone in anything but a negative light, but I think Ezekiel Elliott proved he still has some value and on a better team, I think he’d be a nice asset.
10. Devin Singletary
The Houston Texans’ strategy of just going after as many free agents as possible and seeing what will stick has been beneficial. Devin Singletary was second on the team with 1,091 yards from scrimmage and led the team in rushing.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Wide Receiver
1. Tee Higgins
The undisputed WR1 on the free agent market is Tee Higgins, and it would be slightly shocking if the Bengals just let him walk out the door. We’re looking at a franchise tag and potential contract battle here, but I expect Higgins to be hard to pry from Cincinnati, to say the least.
2. Mike Evans
Mike Evans has been a lock for 1,000 yards every year of his NFL career. Would that remain the same if he changes scenery in 2024? The Buccaneers might have to let Evans walk to build the rest of the roster.
3. Michael Pittman Jr.
The Indianapolis Colts have a ton of pending free agents, but losing Michael Pittman Jr. in 2024 after drafting Anthony Richardson last year would be a huge mistake by GM Chris Ballard. Expect Pittman to be tagged.
4. Gabe Davis
Injuries limited Gabe Davis in the 2023 season but I still think teams would view him extremely favorably. The Buffalo Bills will almost undoubtedly have to let him walk in free agency due to Josh Allen’s cap hits going up to nearly $50 million starting in 2024.
5. Calvin Ridley
It’s a shame that Calvin Ridley lost a year of his playing career due to suspension. He’s still a fantastic route runner and has strong hands. I think even as he approaches 30 years of age, Ridley will be a coveted player on the open market as a fit in just about any offense.
6. Rashid Shaheed
The New Orleans Saints have really unearthed a gem in Rashid Shaheed, a big-play threat who was named first-team All-Pro in 2023 thanks to his return skills. But more than just a good return man, Shaheed was a consistent downfield target for Derek Carr as well. He’s an exclusive rights free agent, so he can only negotiate with the Saints, but he might hold out for a long-term deal or try to demand a trade given his situation.
7. Tyler Boyd
Tyler Boyd is going to be 30 this coming season, and at this point, we know what he is – he’s a strong slot option with good hands who can make tough catches in traffic. He’s not spectacular and teams should draw a line in the sand on price, but Boyd is a quality player.
8. Hollywood Brown
The former first-round pick out of Oklahoma is a big-time speed threat, which teams will obviously covet in free agency. But based on his decline in production despite getting over 100 targets just about every year, I think Brown could be had for a relatively bargain price in 2024.
9. Odell Beckham Jr.
I think Odell Beckham Jr.’s still got it. Although the fit with the Ravens is intriguing because of how much they run the ball and spread the ball around in the passing game, I think Beckham could handle a bigger workload even as he is into his early 30s now. A team that passes the ball more frequently should be after Beckham in 2024.
10. Darnell Mooney
Speed kills in the NFL and Darnell Mooney has it in spades. Not only that, but he has a history of producing at a high level and teams will buy into that big-time. He’s an underrated option on a short-term deal this offseason.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Tight Ends
1. Hunter Henry
With over 300 career receptions and 38 career touchdowns (including 6 TD catches in 2023), NFL teams will be lining up to sign Hunter Henry as his time with the New England Patriots comes to an end. He’s a difference-maker in the passing game.
2. Dalton Schultz
There were valid questions about how well Dalton Schultz would fare away from the Dallas Cowboys, but he certainly proved himself as a member of the Houston Texans in 2023. I think you can easily pencil him in for 50 receptions and five TDs no matter where he winds up in 2024.
3. Noah Fant
Noah Fant is going to be just 26 this offseason and his big play ability will undoubtedly attract teams. He wasn’t a true primary weapon for the Seahawks but as a secondary option, he has been solid. He has great speed at the position and utilizes it well when he gets into space.
4. Gerald Everett
You can almost copy and paste Gerald Everett’s numbers over the course of his career. He’s a model of consistency as a receiver, but there is a bit of a ceiling there. He’s improved over the last three seasons in terms of his hands, dropping just two passes in 2023.
5. Mike Gesicki
Mike Gesicki is a big, athletic option who needs to find his way out of horrendous situations. He has proven himself in the past as a member of the Miami Dolphins, but the dropoff in recent years means he’ll be looking for prove-it deals elsewhere in 2024.
6. Adam Trautman
Adam Trautman is probably right where he belongs – with Sean Payton – but he had a good first year in Denver and could parlay that into interest around the league. Trautman may not be spectacular in terms of his athleticism, but he offers a decently high floor as an all-around TE.
7. Harrison Bryant
I think there might be untapped potential with Harrison Bryant, who could be this year’s version of a Josh Oliver. Teams might be willing to pay Bryant more than anyone expects because of his all-around effectiveness. He’s a good receiver at the position with 10 career touchdowns.
8. Drew Sample
Drew Sample doesn't offer you an overly dynamic option as a receiver, but he will make up for it with his blocking skills.
9. Austin Hooper
Austin Hooper was once a Pro Bowl player at the position, and now he’s just a solid player to have in your position group. He offers a high enough floor that teams could rely on him as a TE2 consistently.
10. Colby Parkinson
Parkinson developed into a really solid option in the passing game for the Seahawks as soon as Geno Smith took over at the QB position. He had 50 receptions and four TDs over the last two years. Maybe an underrated name to watch in the 2024 offseason.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Offensive Line
1. Tyron Smith, OT
If you can muscle through the injury risk, Tyron Smith might be one of the best overall free agents available this offseason. He was still playing at an elite level in 2023 when he was healthy. Again, that presents a big risk in his situation.
2. Mike Onwenu, T/G
Mike Onwenu is a brick wall no matter what position you throw him at. I’m sure Bill Belichick is going to be recruiting him heavily at his next destination, provided the New England Patriots don’t franchise tag him first.
3. Trent Brown, T
It’s likely going to require familiarity with Trent Brown as a person in order to make any free agency pursuit a fit. Brown is a unique character who is extremely good at football, but a headache for teams off the field at times.
4. Kevin Dotson, G
Kevin Dotson has successfully rehabbed his value as a member of the Los Angeles Rams and should have no shortage of offers from teams looking to make him one of their starting guards in 2024.
5. Robert Hunt, G
Robert Hunt is arguably the best right guard on the open market in 2024 and the Miami Dolphins are going to have a hard time keeping the band together on their offensive line. He’s developed into a stud the last couple of seasons.
6. Kevin Zeitler, G
The savvy old veteran has been a great free agent pickup for the Baltimore Ravens, and while he could end up getting more money elsewhere, I think he’ll find a way to stick around in Baltimore.
7. Connor Williams, C/G
You can play Connor Williams at guard or center, but he’s been a really good player since transitioning full-time to the center position. His versatility will be attractive in free agency.
8. Jonah Williams, T
Although it wasn’t his preferred situation, Jonah Williams ended up doing a really solid job at the right tackle position for the Bengals after they went out last year and landed Orlando Brown Jr. to play left tackle. I could see Williams bolting in free agency and teams looking at him for either tackle position.
9. Dalton Risner, G
After waiting an extremely long time in 2023 free agency, Risner finally caught on with the Vikings in-season. It ended up being a great pickup for Minnesota, because Risner didn't allow a sack in his time with the team.
10. Lloyd Cushenberry, C
It looked like Cushenberry was on his way to being a “bust” after three seasons in the league, but he had a huge year in 2023 for the Broncos, grading out as one of the best pass-protecting centers in the league.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Defensive Line
1. Chris Jones
Even entering his 9th NFL season in 2024, Chris Jones is just 29 going on 30. He’s slated to cash in big-time on the open market if the Chiefs don’t find a way to retain him. And he deserves a massive contract, there’s no question about it. He could receive upwards of $30 million per year on a 3-4 year deal.
2. DJ Reader
Sack production is not really DJ Reader’s thing, but he makes impacts on games far beyond just sack production. He’s one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league and will be coveted if he hits the open market.
3. Justin Madubuike
With a whopping 13.0 sacks and 33 QB hits this past season, I don’t think Justin Madubuike is going to be leaving Baltimore without a fight. Then again, the Ravens are known for letting players walk in free agency a lot of the time. If the Ravens don’t tag him, teams are going to be all over the idea of signing this guy, who is just 26 and coming off of a sensational season.
4. Christian Wilkins
It was a bit of a surprise that the Dolphins couldn’t get a long-term deal done with Christian Wilkins this year, but it’s now led to a situation where they could potentially lose him in free agency. Wilkins will be 29 this next season, and is coming off of a career year in which he had 9.0 sacks and 23 QB hits.
5. Leonard Williams
Leonard Williams was a coveted trade deadline piece for the Seattle Seahawks, whose struggles on the defensive line continued into 2023 despite some of the investments the team had made. The Seahawks will undoubtedly try to bring Williams back, but with his all-around ability to wreck games from the interior defensive line, teams will be driving that price up.
6. Grover Stewart
Grover Stewart had to serve a six-game suspension this past season, but he’s been on a really positive overall trajectory. Not only does he occupy space so others can make plays, but he’s got 15 QB hits and 14 tackles for loss over the last two seasons on his own.
7. Sheldon Rankins
Sheldon Rankins proved to be another of many worthwhile short-term free agent investments for the Houston Texans. He had 6.0 sacks for Houston this past season and 10 QB hits, the second-most of his career so far. He’s boosted his value for the 2024 offseason.
8. Fletcher Cox
It would be weird to see Fletcher Cox anywhere besides with the Philadelphia Eagles, but we could be looking at a massive overhaul on that side of the ball for Philadelphia in 2024. Cox had 5.0 sacks and 17 QB hits this past year, so he’s still playing at a high level despite being 33 years of age.
9. Calais Campbell
Calais Campbell will turn 38 on September 1 this year, but he’s still a menace on the defensive line. Not to mention, he’s a great player to have in any locker room. He had 56 tackles, 17 QB hits, and 6.5 sacks this past season.
10. DJ Wonnum
I think DJ Wonnum is one of the most underrated players in the class this year, especially when it comes to the defensive front. He had 8.0 sacks and 6 batted passes this past season, along with 15 QB hits and 21 QB pressures.
2024 NFL Free Agents: EDGE
1. Josh Allen
Not that Josh Allen. The other Josh Allen is a game-wrecker off the edge, and even though the Jaguars’ defense underachieved in 2023, Allen is still going to be one of the most sought after players if he hits the open market. Expect Jacksonville to tag him, however.
2. Brian Burns
The Carolina Panthers allegedly turned down multiple first-round picks for Brian Burns at the 2022 NFL trade deadline. They probably should have taken that deal, as Burns could possibly walk this offseason and all they would get – at a maximum – is a third-round compensatory pick. If Burns hits free agency, some team will be able to acquire a game-changing pass rusher.
3. Danielle Hunter
Danielle Hunter has 87.5 career sacks, and he’s not even 30 years old yet. As a matter of fact, he doesn’t turn 30 until next October. He will be one of the most coveted players in this year’s free agent market and could realistically be the best EDGE player out there. With 16.5 sacks this past season, Hunter’s value has probably never been higher.
4. Chase Young
One of the best defensive prospects to come up in recent memory, Chase Young has not been able to stay healthy as an NFL player. That’s unfortunate, because his talent is undeniable. With 7.5 sacks and 15 QB hits this past season with both the Commanders and 49ers, Young may need to take a prove-it deal somewhere in 2024, and I think he could cash in big-time in 2025.
5. Jonathan Greenard
Jonathan Greenard looked like he was on his way to becoming a big-time threat off the edge for the Texans back in 2021 when he had 8.0 sacks as a second-year player, but his production took a dip in 2022. He was back in a big way in 2023 with 12.5 sacks and 22 QB hits – both the best in his career. Maybe he should stick with DeMeco Ryans and the Texans, but Greenard is going to get paid one way or another.
6. Bryce Huff
NFL teams will be itching to poach Bryce Huff away from the Jets, where he had 10 sacks and 21 QB hits this past season despite playing only 42 percent of the snaps. Add in his total of 33 pressures, and teams are going to wonder what could happen if this guy is on the field 60 percent of the time...
7. Jadeveon Clowney
Although he may not have lived up to the insane hype leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft where he was the #1 overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney has certainly carved out a nice career for himself, and his game may be getting better with age. Now into his 30s, Clowney is just a really good all-around EDGE player.
8. Za'Darius Smith
There is no question about the fact that Za’Darius Smith is still an impact player, and he proved to be a great fit opposite Myles Garrett with the Cleveland Browns this past year. Smith had just 5.5 sacks this past season, but 20 QB hits and 29 pressures, proving he’s still affecting games at a high level. He’ll be 32 in September but Smith should have plenty of suitors after the year he had with the Browns.
9. Josh Uche
If you’re looking for a potential bargain in free agency off the edge, Josh Uche could be it. He didn’t put up good enough numbers to get a massive contract in 2024, but ball knowers know that Uche can play at a high level. It’s going to be hard to pry him away from Bill Belichick, in all likelihood, but Uche could be a steal among this year’s free agent crop. The best is yet to come for him.
10. Leonard Floyd
Leonard Floyd has enjoyed a really nice stretch of top-level play off the edge since leaving the Chicago Bears four years ago. He’s got 39.5 sacks and 78 QB hits over his last four seasons. Anytime a guy is averaging almost 10 sacks and 20 QB hits per year, teams are going to pay a premium.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Off-ball linebacker
1. Lavonte David
Lavonte David is going to be 34 this coming season, but he’s still one of the most effective all-around linebackers in the NFL. He might only be signing 1-2 year deals at this point, but there’s really no reason to think he’s slowing down anytime soon.
2. Frankie Luvu
Since becoming a full-time starter over the last two seasons in Carolina, Frankie Luvu has done nothing but fill up the stat sheet. He’s so impressive as a pass rusher from the off-ball linebacker position with 20 QB hits and 12.5 sacks over the last two years.
3. Patrick Queen
Patrick Queen is going to offer any NFL team elite speed at the linebacker position, and outstanding all-around playmaking ability. The Ravens did the tough part of developing Queen, whose athletic traits and instincts at the position may finally be matching up.
4. Azeez Al-Shaair
The former San Francisco 49ers standout got the opportunity to play a full-time role in Tennessee this past season, and he absolutely cooked. He had 165 total tackles for the Titans, 9 tackles for loss, and 6 QB hits. He is in line to get a longer-term deal from someone in 2024.
5. Bobby Wagner
Another ageless wonder at the off-ball linebacker position, Bobby Wagner is a living legend. It sort of feels like Seattle or bust for him, but all bets could be off now that Pete Carroll is stepping away from the team as head coach.
6. Jordyn Brooks
The former first-round pick is a fast, physical presence at the off-ball linebacker position who has three straight seasons with more than 110 tackles. He’s just 26 this season and will have suitors lined up.
7. Devin White
It’s going to be interesting to see how the market develops this offseason for Devin White after he found himself in some hot water with the Bucs this past year, as well as former Bucs players calling him out. White is a talented player and former top-five pick, and NFL teams aren’t going to give up on him that easily.
8. Josey Jewell
Josey Jewell is the NFL version of what we saw when he was at Iowa. There are athletic limitations, sure, but Jewell plays instinctive and is rarely out of position. The Broncos did miss an abnormal amount of tackles this year but Jewell is a tough player and quality starter.
9. Kenneth Murray
Another former first-round pick hitting free agency this offseason, Kenneth Murray has proven he can make plays all over the field and behind the line of scrimmage, but Chargers fans don’t seem too upset over the idea of losing him. Perhaps a change of scenery will do wonders for Murray, who is tremendously talented.
10. Nicholas Morrow
Although statistically productive, the Eagles’ linebacker position was just not good enough this past season. Nicholas Morrow was productive on the stat sheet, though, racking up 95 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 5 QB hits.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Cornerback
1. L'Jarius Sneed
Wherever he’s been asked to play as a member of the Chiefs, L’Jarius Sneed has been an absolute stud. He’s going to be paid like one of the top corners in the NFL if the Chiefs let him get to the market, or if they decide to re-sign him themselves.
2. Jaylon Johnson
There were some rumors that the Bears could look into trading Jaylon Johnson at last year’s deadline, but they wisely held onto him. One of the easier franchise tag candidates around the NFL to predict, I’m guessing Johnson is back in Chicago. But he will be highly sought after if he does hit NFL free agency.
3. Kenny Moore
Kenny Moore is extremely valuable as a slot cornerback and can do a little bit of everything at that position in terms of attacking the line of scrimmage, rushing the passer, and obviously playing in coverage. He’s just a smart defender who is always around the ball.
4. Kendall Fuller
It feels like Kendall Fuller has been around the league way too long at this point to only be 29 this coming season. He’ll be a coveted nickel corner by NFL teams but his value might take a hit because he gave up nine touchdowns in the 2023 season.
5. Stephon Gilmore
Although he’s not getting any younger, there haven’t really been any signs that Stephon Gilmore’s game is deteriorating at this point. On a one-year deal, he is going to be a nice pickup for somebody just like he was for the Cowboys this past season.
6. Chidobe Awuzie
Chidobe Awuzie is a really good corner, but the one major knock on him is that he needs to get his hands on the ball a lot more often. He didn’t have a single interception in two years with the Bengals. He might be a nice bargain in 2024 NFL free agency.
7. Steven Nelson
After picking off four passes and allowing just one touchdown this past season in Houston, Steven Nelson is proving he's getting better with age. He’s in a really great spot right now with the Texans and DeMeco Ryans’s defense, but teams will be looking to steal him away as an inexpensive veteran option.
8. Ahkello Witherspoon
Health has typically been a concern for Ahkello Witherspoon, but he gave the Rams a full season in 2023 and picked off three passes while allowing less than 50 percent of passes in his coverage to be completed.
9. Jeff Okudah
Regardless of the way things have played out for Jeff Okudah up to this point, he’s a recent former top 3 NFL Draft pick who is only going to be 25 when free agency opens up. I love the idea of signing him to a one or two-year deal as a reclamation project.
10. Isaac Yiadom
Yiadom allowed just 48.9 percent of passes into his coverage to be completed this past season and had a career-best 14 passes broken up. He will be just 28 this season and is in line for a very solid three-year deal from some team with some good guarantees up front.
2024 NFL Free Agents: Safety
1. Antoine Winfield Jr.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers once again have a long list of players they have to decide what to do with, but the decision with Antoine Winfield Jr. is simple – he’s getting re-signed or franchise tagged. There’s no chance Winfield is hitting the market, but he would be one of the most sought after players if that happened.
2. Kyle Dugger
Watch for Kyle Dugger to follow Bill Belichick wherever he goes, but he developed into a really solid player for New England’s defense over the last handful of years. He’s a machine as a tackler and has multiple interceptions in each of the last three seasons.
3. Kamren Curl
The former seventh-round pick in 2020 hasn’t been able to match what he did back in his rookie season with three interceptions, but he’s a solid all-around safety and teams are always going to be looking to add younger players like this in free agency.
4. Jordan Whitehead
Jordan Whitehead is a ballhawk at the safety position and someone who flies around the field with great instincts. He helped make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense a contender and he did the same for the New York Jets. After picking off four passes this past year, the former fourth-round pick is about to have teams lined up to acquire him.
5. Xavier McKinney
Four years ago, people were shocked to see Xavier McKinney fall out of the first round of the NFL Draft. The former Alabama safety has proven the pre-draft projections to be correct with eight interceptions over the last three seasons, as well as just two touchdowns allowed into his coverage over the last 26 games.
6. Geno Stone
How about former Iowa safety Geno Stone picking off a whopping seven passes this past season? Stone has only developed into a full-time starter recently, but he’s developed nicely and having a seven interception season in a contract year is not bad timing at all.
7. Julian Blackmon
The quarterback rating when throwing the ball Julian Blackmon’s way in 2023 was just 48.3. He had four interceptions this past season, and those kinds of numbers are going to get you paid on a nice multi-year deal in free agency.
8. Jordan Fuller
The former sixth-round pick out of Ohio State has proven to be a steal for the Los Angeles Rams from Day 1. Fuller had three interceptions as a rookie back in 2020, and he capped off his first four years in Los Angeles with another three-interception season in 2023 along with three forced fumbles.
9. CJ Gardner-Johnson
Despite the injury he suffered early in the 2023 season, CJ Gardner-Johnson is back out there for the Lions in the playoffs and I think he’s going to be a coveted player on the free agent market once again. He can play all over the defensive backfield and he flies to the football.
10. Darnell Savage
The former first-round pick for the Packers needs a change of scenery. His interception returned for a touchdown against the Cowboys in the playoffs was a great reminder of the talent and promise he showed in his first few seasons in the league.
