The best, punny and funny fantasy football team names for any fan to use.

For as much time as fantasy football managers spend researching players, strategies and how to build a winning team, many spend just as much time dreaming up fantasy football team names. Because, as we all know, a fantasy team is only as good as the name given to the squad — that’s just science.

Of course, coming up with the right fantasy football team names is much easier said than done. Many fans want to name their fantasy squad something that either correlates to their roster or something that has to do with their favorite team. And finding that perfect name can be quite elusive at times.

We’ve got you covered, though. Looking through all 32 NFL teams and the relevant fantasy stars for the 2020 season, we’re offering managers the best fantasy football team names that you’ll find — or so we think.

Note: All rankings and ADP information is courtesy of Fantasy Pros for Half-PPR leagues.

Murray Up Offense (Arizona Cardinals)

Anyone who doubted what Kyler Murray would be able to do at the NFL level with the Arizona Cardinals is looking silly at this point. Off of winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, though, even bigger things are expected from the second-year quarterback. And the fact that he has an ADP of 59th (QB4) is indicative of exactly that.

Having said that, there’s every reason to be high on the second-year signal-caller. Murray shined last season and now has DeAndre Hopkins joining a young, explosive offense. Throw in running back Kenyan Drake, who starred for the Cards once they acquired him via trade last year, and this offense could light the league on fire. That means Murray has fantasy superstar potential in 2020.

Other Cardinals Team Names: Kenyan Hear Me Now?, Dr. DeAndre

Large Shake w/ Gurley Fries (Atlanta Falcons)

Yes, it’s far more likely that more fantasy football team names will include Matt Ryan or Julio Jones than they will Todd Gurley — but this name is just too good for me not to consider the top option. And the former Rams running back that the Atlanta Falcons pounced on following his release this offseason has massive sleeper potential, especially if he’s truly healthy.

Gurley is currently going as RB19 in half-PPR leagues right now. He’s now behind a better offensive line than he had last year in Los Angeles and could possibly have a career resurgence. It’s a gamble to have him on your fantasy roster but one that could pay off big time.

Other Falcons Team Names: Saving Matt Ryan, Mr. Julio Jones and Me

LaMarvel’s Avengers (Baltimore Ravens)

Fresh off of setting the NFL rushing record for a quarterback, leading the league in passing touchdowns and winning MVP in just his second season in the league and first full year as a starter, it’s safe to say that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is a bonafide fantasy superstar. So if you’re building your team around him, you have to love this name.

The interesting aspect of the Ravens in terms of looking for fantasy football team names, though, is that there aren’t necessarily any other big-name players that you could truly build your team around. Yes, Mark Andrews is a stud tight end but guys like Marquise Brown or Mark Ingram or even J.K. Dobbins are all mid-to-late-round picks that have potential. Jackson, meanwhile, is going at QB1, which is why we’re giving him the nod for the best Ravens team name.

Other Ravens Team Names: Big Truss and Believe, That’s So Ravens

Diggs In a Blanket (Buffalo Bills)

Adding Stefon Diggs via trade this offseason is absolutely huge for the Buffalo Bills. It should tremendously help with the continued development of Josh Allen and, if that relationship is a positive one, both Diggs and Allen could be fantasy football studs in the 2020 season. So why wouldn’t Bills fans name their squad after their favorite team’s new addition.

What’s interesting is that Diggs could end up as unbelievable value for fantasy managers. He’s currently going as WR22 and No. 57 overall according to his ADP, going behind guys like Tyler Lockett, T.Y. Hilton and Keenan Allen, among others. Diggs has top-15 upside — if not more — should things go his and Buffalo’s way.

Other Bills Team Names: Josh Spice, Devin Can Wait

Run CMC (Carolina Panthers)

With the ink still fresh on a new contract extension, Christian McCaffrey is now the highest-paid running back in the NFL. And when you consider what he’s done over the past few seasons, it stands to reason why he’d be paid like that. As fantasy managers can attest, the Panthers ball-carrier has been downright unstoppable.

McCaffrey is the No. 1 overall player in fantasy football right now. So if you have him on your squad, it stands to reason that you’d steer into it and name the team after the back. However, if you’re a Panthers fan, there are two other good options outside of McCaffrey, including invoking potential top-10 wide receiver D.J. Moore.

Other Panthers Team Names: Go DJ That’s My DJ, Ready Teddy

Here’s To You, Allen Robinson (Chicago Bears)

How do you not feel bad for Allen Robinson at this point? You don’t even have to be a Chicago Bears fan to fall into that category with the wide receiver who’s going off the board as WR10 according to his current ADP. He would likely be even higher than that given his talent if he hadn’t been forced to play with Blake Bortles and now Mitchell Trubisky in his career.

As for other options for fantasy football team names that concern the Bears, if you are a Trubisky believer, it’s going to be a risky proposition to have him on the squad, so you can look at that. Moreover, if young running back David Montgomery is your flavor, why not pay homage to a ’90s country music legend?

Other Bears Team Names: Trubisky Business, John David Montgomery

Joe Burrow, Fantasy Football, Cincinnati Bengals (Photo by Getty Images/Getty Images)

Living on Burrowed Time (Cincinnati Bengals)

Joe Mixon came up big time at the end of last year but, when you look at his early-season struggles and the rest of the Cincinnati Bengals roster, it was tough sledding for anyone that bought into this group from a fantasy perspective — save for maybe Tyler Boyd. But much like the franchise itself, Joe Burrow may be able to save that.

Fresh off of winning the Heisman Trophy and leading LSU to a National Championship, Burrow returns to Ohio with the goods to take the Bengals to new heights. While there are concerns about the Cincy offensive line, having a young quarterback with Burrow’s talent should jumpstart the rest of the offense’s fantasy value while having some of his own too.

Other Bengals Team Names: Mixon Match, Chef Boyd-r-Green

Hot Chubb Time Machine (Cleveland Browns)

Full disclosure, this is one of a few fantasy football team names that isn’t the most creative in that, if you look just about anywhere for a name, you’re likely to find this brilliant one that uses Nick Chubb as part of the 2010s cult comedy movie’s name. But it’s just so good that you’re messing up if you don’t have it as part of this type of list.

As for Chubb himself, the former Georgia Bulldogs running back is being undervalued according to his current ADP. While Kareem Hunt could take some touches, Chubb is the featured back in a Kevin Stefanski offense with a much better offensive line in 2020. He’s going as RB9 behind Joe Mixon, Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry but I think he could end up as a top-five running back when it’s said and done.

Other Browns Team Names: Mayfield of Dreams, Dude You’re Gettin’ Odell

One-Man Wolf Dak (Dallas Cowboys)

Mike McCarthy taking over the sidelines for the Dallas Cowboys could be the best news that Dak Prescott and fans have ever heard. After years of seeing this offense flash or even perform well but not as well as they possibly could, they have a Super Bowl-winning coach taking things over to hopefully help them reach their potential as a unit.

That’s something that should make fantasy football owners rejoice, too, which is why the Cowboys stars are all being valued highly. According to ADP, Ezekiel Elliott is going as RB3, Amari Cooper is going as WR9, Michael Gallup is WR30, CeeDee Lamb is WR43 and Prescott is QB3. Suffice it to say people believe the Cowboys offense is going to be a gold mine.

Other Cowboys Team Names: Amari Had a Little Lamb, Sneak A Zeke

The People’s Courtland (Denver Broncos)

Speaking of improved offenses, that should also be what happens with the Denver Broncos in the 2020 season. Second-round pick Drew Lock took over at quarterback at the end of last season and impressed. Now they have a ton of weapons around him after this offseason, all of them joining young Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.

The big question, for me, when it comes to the Broncos in fantasy football is if there are too many mouths to feed for any of the players to have that much value. For me, Sutton and Fant might be the only two I’d trust — and even then, the draft position has to be right.

Other Broncos Team Names: Lock It Down, Jeudylicious

Hotel, Motel, Golladay Inn (Detroit Lions)

Despite how bad the Detroit Lions were on the whole last season and despite who the team had starting at quarterback for half of the year once Matthew Stafford went down due to injury, Kenny Golladay firmly entrenched himself as a star wide receiver in this league. Now that Stafford is set to return in the 2020 season, that should only continue.

While Golladay is the most obvious option for fans to utilize for great fantasy football team names, Stafford, Kerryon Johnson and D’Andre Swift are other options. Their fantasy value on your team, however, is less obvious as they could all have varying roles in the offense that may be hard to bank on.

Other Lions Team Names: Kerryon My Wayward Son, Stafford Meeting

Salsa Davante (Green Bay Packers)

Wouldn’t it be nice if the Green Bay Packers hadn’t decided to ignore their greatest needs on offense this offseason and actually added pass-catching weapons? That would’ve been fun to add to the possible value of Aaron Rodgers and 2019 running back touchdown leader, Aaron Jones. But without that, Davante Adams remains incredibly valuable.

Adams is, for better or worse, the top target in Green Bay my a mile. The only reason he wasn’t higher in fantasy scoring last year was a toe injury that forced him to miss four games. If he’s on the field, you’re going to want Adams on your roster simply because, as of now, there’s no one else that Rodgers consistently trusts to throw to.

Other Packers Team Names: Mister Rodgers Neighborhood, Aaron Dirty Laundry

Elementary, My Deshaun Watson (Houston Texans)

Seeing what Deshaun Watson does in the 2020 NFL season from a fantasy football and regular perspective is going to be absolutely fascinating. While the Texans added David Johnson — another intriguing fantasy study — they took Watson’s clear No. 1 pass-catcher, DeAndre Hopkins, away and will likely change the offense.

I’ve made it clear that I’m quite dubious of that move and think Houston could struggle as such. If that happens, Watson could be overvalued as his ADP has him as QB6 right now. Having said that, his talent is unreal and, if he proves me wrong, that also wouldn’t be incredibly surprising.

Other Texans Team Names: Watson-Watts Off, Fuller House

Old Man Rivers (Indianapolis Colts)

Philip Rivers coming to the Indianapolis Colts is something that everyone should be paying more attention to. Yes, he had a bad 2019 with the Chargers but his situation in terms of coaching, offensive line, playing indoors and, in some ways, his weapons has improved to suit the veteran quarterback even better.

Rivers might be a deep sleeper as he’s currently QB20 according to ADP but, more importantly, he’s going to be a big boost to the value of T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell. Good luck trying to figure out how to value running backs Marlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor, though, both of whom are good but will almost surely split touches.

Other Colts Team Names: Hilton Garden Indy, Return of the Marlon Mack

DJ Chark, Fantasy Football, Jacksonville Jaguars (Photo by James Gilbert/Getty Images)

Chark Week (Jacksonville Jaguars)

DJ Chark didn’t have a ton of fans when the Jacksonville Jaguars made him a second-round pick but the wide receiver is making anyone who wasn’t a fan look silly. So why not honor that and one of the best annual events on television with your fantasy football team name? That only stands to reason, right?

The Jaguars as a whole, though, are going to be interesting to watch from a fantasy perspective this season. Chark should be good but, then again, his lone ranger status in the passing offense is concerning. Meanwhile, Leonard Fournette and Gardner Minshew are both wild cards who could just as easily be top five as they could crash and burn.

Other Jaguars Team Names: Of Mice and Minshew, Fournette Me Not

Mahomes Is Where The Heart Is (Kansas City Chiefs)

Hmm, I wonder who most Kansas City Chiefs fans are going to try and name their fantasy team after? Perhaps the 2018 NFL MVP, Super Bowl LIV MVP and possibly the best quarterback in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, would be the best option. And there are plenty of options (Chillin’ With Mahomies, Mahomes on the Range, etc.) for fans to choose from.

Because he’s the most obvious star, that’s why the Mahomes team name gets featured status. Having said that, rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire could be fun to play with. Just as much as that, Andy Reid deserves a fantasy team name homage as much or more than anyone.

Other Chiefs Team Names: Fresh Prince of Helaire, Big Red’s Machine

Josh Jacobs, Fantasy Football, Las Vegas Raiders (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)

Josh Jacobs Jingleheimer Schmidt (Las Vegas Raiders)

Even as a rookie on a pedestrian overall offense in then-Oakland, Josh Jacobs showed that he has the potential to be one of the best running backs in the NFL. In the 2020 season, many fantasy football managers will be banking on that as he’s going off the board as an easy top-10 running back, making him a cornerstone for many teams.

The question in fantasy for the Raiders is what the offense will look like outside of Jacobs. Will Henry Ruggs III have value as a speedster? Can Darren Waller stay as one of the best tight ends in the league? All of this and more might depend on Derek Carr (or Marcus Mariota) and what they can do throwing.

Other Raiders Team Names: Pulled the Ruggs Out, Carr We There Yet?

Ekeler In the Crowd (Los Angeles Chargers)

Full disclosure, I spent more time than I’m proud of trying to find a team name that included Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler. He’s the best fantasy target in my opinion, especially with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. Thus, I wanted him in this spot but had to settle for something playing with the notion of a “Heckler” in the crowd.

Even if the fantasy football team name is lacking a bit, Ekeler’s ability as a pass-catching running back with value on the ground as well should help managers really take some nice stock in what he’s capable of. Don’t sleep on Ekeler just because the Bolts aren’t exactly the most exciting team to consider this season.

Other Chargers Team Names: Keenan Not Heard, Tyrodosauraus Rex

Cooper Kupp, Fantasy Football, Los Angeles Rams (Photo by Jacob Kupferman/Getty Images)

Kupp, Kupp and Away (Los Angeles Rams)

There are undoubtedly some more inappropriate fantasy football team names that play on Cooper Kupp’s name as the basis. However, if you’re looking to keep it PG or even G in your league, then we have an option for you. Moreover, with Brandin Cooks out of the picture and the hope that the Rams offense has an upswing back to the mean, Kupp and Robert Woods could be great values in fantasy this season.

In addition to that, I’m incredibly high on what rookie running back Cam Akers can do with this team. The Rams offensive line isn’t great but that’s not new for Akers after his situation at Florida State. He’s the likely featured guy and I think he has a breakout year while arriving in Los Angeles.

Other Rams Team Names: Goff the Beaten Path, Green Akers

It Takes Tua To Make A Thing Go Right (Miami Dolphins)

The focus of the 2019 season for the Miami Dolphins was, in essence, making sure that they got quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the roster to be their longtime franchise quarterback. Mission accomplished. Now fans are left to wonder how long it will be before the much-hyped quarterback gets on the field.

No matter what the answer to that question is, the Dolphins could have some nice fantasy value hidden on the roster. DeVante Parker was a nice deep threat last year and the additions of Matt Breida and Jordan Howard shouldn’t be slept on, especially with the offensive line getting better.

Other Dolphins Team Names: DeVante’s Inferno, Breida’m and Weep

Dalvin Cook, Fantasy Football, Minnesota Vikings (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)

Dalvin and the Chipmunks (Minnesota Vikings)

This is a recent fantasy football team name classic. Chances are, if you’ve had a team that had Dalvin Cook as one of the featured players over the past few years, then “Dalvin and the Chipmunks” was one of the options you considered. If that turns you off from the name, though, consider another Cook-related team name: Dalvin Klein.

In any case, Cook should be the focal point of the Minnesota Vikings offense once again. The passing offense will be intriguing to watch. Adam Thielen is cleary the No. 1 option but it remains to be seen if his role will increase or if rookie Justin Jefferson will step in right away and be the replacement for Stefon Diggs.

Other Vikings Team Names: Hooked on a Thielen, Putting in the Kirk

Cam You Dig It? (New England Patriots)

In the interest of transparency, the featured fantasy football team name for New England Patriots fan was going to be something lamenting the offseason departure of Tom Brady. Instead, we’re looking at the new addition of former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton after the 2015 NFL MVP made a logical decision and landed with New England.

Without Newton, I was in full avoidance mode with the Patriots offense in fantasy. The pass-catchers, running backs and (obviously) quarterbacks all worried me. I’m not totally sure how much adding Newton changes that for me but I can definitively say that it does change it for the better.

Other Patriots Team Names: Can’t Find A Edelman, Sony PlayStation

Michael Thomas, Fantasy Football, New Orleans Saints (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)
Michael Thomas, Fantasy Football, New Orleans Saints (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)

Thomas the Saints Engine (New Orleans Saints)

Fresh off of setting the NFL single-season record for receptions, Michael Thomas is almost surely going to be the first wide receiver and first running back coming off of the board in fantasy football drafts this season. The New Orleans Saints pass-catchers is just a target hog and, even if the offense did add Emmanuel Sanders this offseason, that’s likely not changing too much.

For me, the more curious thing to watch in the Big Easy this season is running back Alvin Kamara. We all know his talent and versatility as a runner and pass-catcher out of the backfield. What we don’t know, though, is if he can stay healthy for 16 games or if he’s going to be able to bounce back after what many might consider a down year in the 2019 season.

Other Saints Team Names: Easy Breesy, Lights Kamara Action

Saquon The Chef (New York Giants)

Just given the current state of the roster and perhaps your feelings on second-year wide receiver Darius Slayton, there are really only two options for Giants fans when it comes to fantasy football team names and the players you want to base them on: Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. The former, of course, is the surer thing.

Barkley’s elite talent should be allowed to shine in a much bigger way in the 2020 season. The offensive line is improved and, now that Jones has almost a full season under his belt, that should help open up the offense for him a bit as well. On the whole, this could be a monster season for the current RB2 according to ADP.

Other Giants Team Names: Danny Dimes a Dozen, Saquontam Leap

Sam Darnold, Fantasy Football, New York Jets (Photo by Steven Ryan/Getty Images)

Hey Darnold (New York Jets)

“Oh, here we go; oh, here we go…” Hey Arnold fans are surely getting in the zone after that and with this team name. Of course, it plays on the name of quarterback Sam Darnold. And it will be wholly interesting to see what the young quarterback is able to do in the 2020 season given the situation that he’s in.

For his sake, the Jets offensive line has been improved this offseason. But the pass-catching group leaves a ton to be desired, which is troubling. The biggest joy for Jets fans and many fantasy managers, though, would be Darnold and Le’Veon Bell developing a rapport and ultimately helping to boost the value of one another.

Other Jets Team Names: Le’Veon a Prayer, Green Jets and Sam

The Sixth Wentz (Philadelphia Eagles)

Carson Wentz has been put into the limelight this offseason, for better or worse, after the Philadelphia Eagles shocked the world by taking Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Now, many are questioning Wentz’s long-term health and the Eagles’ belief in him.

When he’s on the field though, Wentz is clearly the goods. Now he has more weapons with the addition of rookie Jalen Reagor to complement (maybe) Alshon Jeffery and tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. In any case, Wentz has real upside as the current QB11 according to ADP and might be worth taking a gamble on.

Other Eagles Team Names: Colonel Miles Sanders, It Ertz So Good

As the Smith-Schuster Crows (Pittsburgh Steelers)

It might be stupid but I’m incredibly proud of this team name. After spending a while trying to find something to play with JuJu for a team name, the “Smith-Schuster Crows” came to the forefront and I couldn’t have been more pleased with it. Of course, it will make it even sweeter if the young wide receiver bounces back.

Frankly, if everyone stays healthy, the Pittsburgh Steelers core could offer fantasy football managers a ton of bankable value for the 2020 season. After all, Ben Roethlisberger led the NFL in passing yards the last time he played a full year (2018) and Smith-Schuster and James Conner thrived then. Maybe they can recreate that magic.

Other Steelers Team Names: Roethlisberger and Fries, Diontae’s Peak

A Kittle Less Talk, A Lot More Action (San Francisco 49ers)

George Kittle is an absolute stud at tight end for the San Francisco 49ers while also being an absolute maniac on the field. He’s emerged as a premier pass-catcher at the position but is also valuable in what he offers as a blocker in the Niners rushing attack, something that’s super important with Kyle Shanahan as the head coach and play-caller.

What will be curious in the 2020 season with San Francisco as it pertains to fantasy is how the running back room shakes out and how the wide receivers will separate themselves. For now, anyone’s guess is as good as mine. But at the end of the day, having a piece of the Shanahan offense isn’t a bad thing.

Other 49ers Team Names: DRaheem Team, Garoppolo Ralph Lauren

Russell Wilson, Fantasy Football, Seattle Seahawks (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

Russell and Bustle (Seattle Seahawks)

It would be wonderful to see what Russell Wilson could accomplish — both in the NFL and in terms of fantasy football scoring — if he wasn’t with the Seattle Seahawks. The offense simply doesn’t let him cook as much as he’s obviously capable of, largely banking on the rushing attack when they don’t necessarily have to.

Regardless, Wilson is still an obvious top-five player at quarterback in fantasy entering the 2020 season. Moreover, he brings big-time potential to his top two wide receiver, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Both players are going around WR20 or later but have upside to finish well inside that mark.

Other Seahawks Team Names: DK Have It Your Way, Lockett and Key

Dude Looks Like a Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Tom Brady joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency was the storyline that no one ever saw coming. But now that it has happened, the big question is what the offense is totally going to look like. That includes Brady himself but also what the fantasy football value of studs like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin will end up being.

Maybe even a bigger wild card than Brady, though, is the return of Rob Gronkowski. After taking the 2019 season away from the NFL, he’s back in the league with his long-time quarterback in a potentially great offense. But is he going to be able to be the dominant player he once way? Only time will tell.

Other Buccaneers Team Names: Gronkey Kong, Mother of Godwin Evans

Derrick Henry, Fantasy Football, Tennessee Titans (Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)
Derrick Henry, Fantasy Football, Tennessee Titans (Photo by Rob Carr/Getty Images)

O’ Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans)

Derrick Henry led the NFL in rushing yards last season and made it look easy with how dominant he was at the end of the season. And with the way he continued to wreck defenses in the playoffs,  there is hope that the Tennessee Titans running back will be able to stay on that pace and keep bowling through defenses.

Henry is the best option for fantasy football team names based on the Titans. However, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, now that he’s signed an extension with Tennessee, has some sleeper potential. A.J. Brown after his high-end rookie season could also be worth your attention whenever your fantasy draft rolls around.

Other Titans Team Names: Mountain Out of a Tannehill, Remember the Titans

Back It Up Terry (Washington Redskins)

It’s difficult to say what to do with the Washington Redskins when it comes to fantasy football. Dwayne Haskins is the biggest question mark as the second-year quarterback holds a lot of talent but, given his unproven nature in the NFL, he could hinder the fantasy value of pass-catchers around him.

The only player that seems unlikely to be in that mold is Terry McLaurin. The second-year wideout has the potential to be an absolute stud and top-15 lock at his position. What Redskins fans are really hoping for, though, is that high-upside running back Derrius Guice can stay healthy for the 2020 season.

Other Redskins Team Names: Haskins For a Friend, You Only Live Guice
