Former Dolphins LB Channing Crowder Blasts Jeff Ireland

Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder sat out last season, despite the fact that he had multiple teams interested in his services. Crowder was on Miami radio yesterday and revealed that his wife was pregnant and that played a big part in his decision to temporarily retire.

Now that Crowder has had a full season away from football, he is ready to make a comeback. Where will Crowder play in 2012? That answer we don’t know, but we do know he will not be playing with the Miami Dolphins. When asked if he would consider a return to the Dolphins, Crowder went off.

I wouldn’t go on a team with Jeff Ireland. I’m not very confident in him,” Crowder said. “He doesn’t know what he’s doing in my opinion. He’s real disrespectful, he doesn’t know how to deal with people and the whole Dez Bryant (situation) kind of showed to the world what he’s about, but guys in the building know what he’s really about.”

“He’s not a good person,” continued Crowder. “He has no class, and I wouldn’t choose to go back and play there. And I would have to say it’s the only team I don’t want to play for.”

I’m sure that Crowder will generate interest during the offseason and should find his way back on the NFL field. No matter how much interest Crowder receives, you can guarantee Ireland won’t come calling.

So, what do you think of Crowder’s harsh criticism of Jeff Ireland? Was it called for or completely unneccessary? Leave your opinion known in the comments section.
