Jason Babin May Not Run With The Bulls After All

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin let it be known that he planned to take his talents overseas to run with the bulls, in a popular event that takes place in Pamplona, Spain. Unfortunately for Babin, it is a very risky choice that could end up hurting his availability for the upcoming season, so it comes as no surprise that some teammates may not approve of the decision.

One of Babin’s teammates who said he did not want to see him run with the bulls was Michael Vick. While Vick may not influence Babin, Babin did say that he would listen to his boss if he asked him not to run.

“Obviously, they’re my boss,” Babin said.  “If they said to me, ‘Jason, don’t do it,’ I’m the kind of person that’s gonna listen to my boss.”

Generally, a player’s contract includes a clause that states: “Player will not play football or engage in activities related to football otherwise than for Club or engage in any activity other than football which may involve a significant risk of personal injury.” That would likely include running with the bulls.

If Babin is smart, he will avoid the situation altogether. If Babin’s “bosses” are smart and hope to have him for the 2012-13 season, they will prohibit him from participating.
