Denarius Moore Injures Hamstring At Oakland Raiders Minicamp

The Oakland Raiders suffered a setback during Tuesday’s OTAs, when starting wide receiver Denarius Moore went down with a hamstring injury during drills. Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com says that, while Moore was able to leave the field under his own power, he is expected to be out of action until training camp.

“He’s going to be fine,” said coach Dennis Allen. “We’ll evaluate it. Usually those things take a couple of weeks or so (to heal) so we’ll see where he’s at.”

The Raiders should not rush Moore back and allow him all the necessary time to get back to 100%. History shows when you rush a hamstring injury that it can turn into a season long issue.

Moore’s injury should just be a small setback and should not hurt his chances of continuing where he left off in 2011, where he averaged 18.7 yards per catch. The fifth-round pick should be ready to go for training camp and bring his big play ability to the field when the regular season kicks off.
