Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles tore his ACL early last season and he has been recovering from the injury. While ACL recovery can be a long road to reaching 100%, Charles all but guaranteed to the Chiefs and their loyal fans that he will be ready for day one of the team’s training camp.

“When they let that cape off me, I’m ready to go,” he said. “I’m ready to put my cleats back on and punish everybody in my way.” Charles went on to say that he is feeling so good that he could play in a game today.

Charles will undergo a medical evaluation on June 18th — along with teammates Eric Berry and Tony Moeaki, who also suffered torn ACLs last season — and he believes he will be cleared. If he receives his anticipated clearance, then Charles will be a full go at Chiefs training camp.
