NFL Network To Launch Morning Talk Show

Move over ESPN First Take and Mike & Mike in the morning, there is soon to be a new sheriff in town. Per the USA Today’s Michael Hiestand, the NFL Network is getting into the morning show market and will be launching a football version of the Today show.

The league is expected to announce the morning show today. It will begin airing on July 30th and air from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.  So instead of watching reruns of NFL Total Access, we will get a fresh new show in the mornings.

“It’s mind-boggling how much content is out there,” NFLN executive producer Eric Weinberger said. “How can you fill up four hours dedicated to the NFL every morning? It’s surprisingly easier that it sounds.”

The show will be hosted by former FOX Sports Network anchor Brian Webber, Nicole Zaloumis and former NFL cornerback Eric Davis.

This is exciting news for the NFL and it’s fans. Every morning we will be able to prepare ourselves for the day with some non-stop NFL coverage and debate. It’s about time that there is an alternative to Skip Bayless for sports fans on morning television.

Thank you, NFL Network.
