In a clash of two of the NFL’s top teams — and the two teams that I predicted to play in this year’s Super Bowl — the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans will do battle on Sunday at Soldier Field. Unfortunately for the Bears, they could be without one of their top defensive players — Charles “Peanut” Tillman.

Tillman could miss the Bears game against Houston for the delivery of his child.

“The wife is due any day, so hopefully this baby can stay in until after the game on Sunday,” Tillman said. “I hope she stays in – I’m having another girl. Monday, for sure, but if she comes Sunday, I think I’m going to have to be at the hospital Sunday. So, I hope she stays in until after Sunday.”

It would be a big loss for the Bears as they look to advance to 8-1.

Tillman is one of the team’s defensive leaders and is a big reason for their early success. On the season, Peanut has 43 tackles, two interceptions and two touchdowns. However, the most impressive aspect of Tillman’s game is the “Peanut Punch” which ha led to seven forced fumbles.

If Tillman’s wife goes into labor, you can’t blame the Chicago star defender for missing the team’s game. It’s important to remember that these men are human beings and family comes first.
