Vital Info

Opponent: San Francisco 49ers

Location: Candlestick Park (Away)

Record: 3-5

Quarterback

He may be a former #1 pick but Sam Bradford is yet to settle in as a reliable fantasy QB. With the 49ers being such a good defense, leave him on your bench. If you need a bye week fill-in, look elsewhere and drop Bradford if you need to.

Running Back

Let’s state the obvious – Steven Jackson has seen better days. He’s clearly not the same guy who has been a no-brainer top 10 running back year in and year out. Now he has Daryl Richardson pushing him who has been playing very well and this just pours more water on SJax’s fire. San Fran are great against the run so I would avoid starting either one wherever possible.

Wide Receiver

This week marks the return of PPR stud Danny Amendola who was red hot at the start of the year before his collarbone/shoulder injury. For this week however he is a flex starter at best as the 49ers cover underneath quite well. In his absence, rookie speedster Chris Givens has had some huge  plays and appears to have finally given Sam Bradford a genuine deep threat. Again, the matchup means that Givens also should probably stay on your bench. With that said, that obviously means Brandon Gibson and Steve Smith shouldn’t even be on your radar right now.

Tight End

Lance Kendricks was a very popular sleeper in the preseason but he has done little to nothing. You shouldn’t start him any week and especially not this week.
