Julio Jones and Andrew Hawkins Gameday Updates

The Cincinnati Bengals have declared rookie wide receiver Andrew Hawkins inactive for today’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a knee injury that he suffered from very recently in Friday’s practice. He came into today listed questionable on the injury report as a late addition, and while losing Hawkins stings, the Bengals shouldn’t have too much difficulty throwing it on the Chiefs.

The Bengals have also declared fellow WR Marvin Jones inactive, and he has also been suffering from a knee injury. Reggie Nelson and Devon Still have also been listed among the inactives for Cincinnati.

Rookie Mohamed Sanu will be starting next to A.J. Green for the Bengals, and he has a chance of impressing the fans even more with a big game against the Chiefs.

Hawkins has been impressive as a rookie with 34 catches, nearly 400 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.

The Atlanta Falcons fans received some great news when star wide receiver Julio Jones was declared active for today’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, and it wasn’t much of a surprise either. Jones expressed his desire to play in this game, and it will be interesting to watch him go at it against the Cards secondary.

However, Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday Countdown that he will be “limited” in today’s game, but he should still figure to have a major impact in this one. I don’t expect the Falcons to limit him too much, mainly because Jones is a star player who really wants to make his mark on this game- even if it’s going to be an easy one for the Falcons to win. Monitor his situation closely.
