We all know Richard Sherman is a well rounded defensive back, one of the best in the league.

Being in the league for only 2 seasons, entering his 3rd, he has 119 tackles, 12 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles. Along with his athletic ability, Sherman has been known for his trash talk, not out of ignorance, but out of confidence. Not to mention a First Team All Pro for this last season.

I was sitting here watching ESPN’s First Take and Richard Sherman came on for an interview with Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless.

Now we all know how Skip Bayless is known for ripping into players, no matter how good they are, I respect the man but I don’t think too many people like him.

The heated exchange between Bayless and Sherman went on for about 5-10 mins and all I did was just stare in disbelief, was this actually happening on live television? Richard Sherman made comments during the interview such as

"“In my 24 years of life, I’m better at life than you. I’m better than you.”“You speak negatively about everybody, LeBron, Kobe, you have nothing positive to say about anybody”“I came here to destroy you, in front of everybody”“You are ignorant.”"

The interview went on for a short while, the look on Sherman’s face when they decided the interview was over, looked as if it would have been worse if he was actually there in person. Who knows what would have went down if these two were face to face.

I’m sure more about this will surface soon, right now it is blowing up on twitter. Apparently Richard Sherman didn’t take Skip’s comments too well, before the Seattle Seahawks took on the Atlanta Falcons saying on ESPN’s First Take saying

"“Richard Sherman has talked and talked and talked and talked me out of liking the Seahawks. He talks with no respect for anyone, I’m convinced it’s partly self promotional, as opposed to you thinking its effective trash talk (Stephen A. Smith). He has talked himself on the map, I respect that. I just don’t respect the way he attacks everyone personally, just filling their ear, we have heard some NFL Films stuff.” via ESPN’s First Take Embrace Debate"

These comments may have been personal attacks, just the way it was conducted seemed like it wasn’t supposed to go down this way. We know how outspoken Richard Sherman can be, I mean come on, he was punched in the face after the Seattle Seahawks beat the Washington Redskins.

I’m sure this won’t be the last encounter between these two, so keep an eye out on twitter (that’s where most beef starts/ends), there may be more words thrown directed towards one or the other.

Richard Sherman wants to be known as one of the best to ever play the position in the history of the league. Bayless replied saying that Darrelle Revis is the best at his respected position since Deion Sanders. It went back and forth, mainly Sherman on Bayless as Skip wasn’t sure what to say. Probably the most quiet I have seen him in awhile. Which was a little uncomfortable, cause we are used to Skip getting the last word.

If you haven’t seen this yet, you need to find a replay or even find it on YouTube.
