It seems like the Denver Broncos are on a mission, after signing Tom Brady’s favorite target in Wes Welker to a 2 year $12 million dollar deal. Now they pulled a big piece from the Philadelphia Eagles ‘Dream Team’.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, corner-back out of the Tennessee State and former Arizona Cardinal/ Philadelphia Eagle, should add more depth and ability to get the ball back in the hands of Peyton Manning and that high powered offense.

Last season the Denver Broncos went on an impressive winning streak and ended up taking the #1 seed and home field advantage from the Houston Texans. We all remember that ridiculous play in the division round of the playoffs against the Baltimore Ravens, where Joe Flacco bombed a ball 70 yards down the field where Jacoby Jones got by the corner and strong safety Rahim Moore for a touchdown.

A play that should have been well covered, was blown and end result, the Ravens went on to defeat the Broncos in over time and you know what happened from there. With this addition, plays like that should not be repeated. Since being in the league Rodgers-Cromartie has 215 tackles and 16 interceptions in just 5 seasons.

This move is beautiful and getting Rodgers-Cromartie for just one year makes sense, if it doesn’t work out, cut ties and move on without having to take a loss. But I think this is going to be great for this team and now that they have Wes Welker running routes and catching passes from Peyton Manning, this team could be favored to win it all in 2013. But something tells me Denver isn’t done making moves.
