Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel went on the Dan Patrick show and talked about the market he sees for himself in the upcoming draft.

“I feel really good about the Philadelphia Eagles, I feel really good about the Buffalo Bills, I feel really good about the New York Jets,” Manuel said, on the Dan Patrick Show, via PFT. “I met with even more teams than that, but those are some of the teams I feel really confident in. I know they need quarterbacks, I know they want quarterbacks, they have brand new coaching staffs and things like that, so they want a fresh start. They want an energetic kind of quarterback to come in and play.”

Those are three teams with Top-10 picks, yet no draft expert really has E.J. Manuel going in the top 10 of the draft or even the first round at all. The Eagles have the #4 pick, the Bills have the #8 pick and the Jets have the #9 pick. These teams could be eyeing him with their early picks in the second round as they perhaps address other pressing needs in the first round.

Either way, the Jets adding another quarterback seems mind boggling. They already have Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, David Garrard, and Greg McElroy. Yes, they’re trying to trade Tebow but he’s still on the roster. No one is biting, and even if they traded him, they still have 3 quarterbacks on the roster.

Even Philadelphia makes little sense considering they have Michael Vick and Nick Foles on the roster. That could mean Chip Kelly is giving up on Vick, and Nick Foles doesn’t fit his scheme.
