After talking for a while the two sides finally came to a mutual agreement and Ahmad Bradshaw is officially a running back for the Indianapolis Colts. There is no word if this has to do with Colts owner Jim Irsay’s tweets to Drew Rosenhaus last night.

In his tweet he offered “serious coin” and there is no word yet on the amount of money Bradshaw will receive over this deal. But it is only for one year so it is either a serious load of money for 1 season, or not “serious coin.”

But the Colts get a veteran running back with Super Bowl experience who can get 1,000 yards on the ground.Vick Ballard, who is entering his second season, should expect to see his touches decrease. They could try to use a balanced two running back attack with Ballard and Bradshaw or give one the nod as the lead running back.

If one of the two were to get the nod, I’d think it’d have to be Bradshaw. But there are inherent risks that Bradshaw brings. He had surgery on his foot so his use will depend on his effectiveness and his recovery from the injury.
