Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Darrelle Revis Makes $765K WEEKLY

Just recently we posted about Darrelle  Revis buying his number from Mark Barron for $50k. Today I learned that Revis’ weekly salary is $765k (NFL.com). WEEKLY!

I don’t make that in a year. He is the highest paid cornerback in the league, but holy crapness.

$50k for a number? Why not, he can make that back in the time it took for him to write out the check. And sometimes we wonder why these multi-millionaires go broke. Revis just dropped $50k to wear a different number on Sundays.

I wonder how much he spends for someone to keep his jersey clean, because I would gladly help a brotha out. How does $50k/year sound for that service? Sounds like a freaking deal for Revis. Break out the pocket book and send that money in my direction.

I don’t know why this is blowing my mind right now, but it has me going nuts. Didn’t Revis miss a whole season with an injury and may not return to top form? Guaranteed or not, that is $765k burning out of someone’s wallet on a weekly basis.
