Rumors of Drew Brees in a car accident were not true

Apparently there were rumors that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was in a car accident and it had people on the internet around New Orleans worried. Of course it would, Drew is a good guy and is a hero in the community, plus all the hopes of the Saints being a contender rely on him lining up under center.

Brees cleared up the rumors of the accident over twitter:

Just another one of those bogus stories floating around the twitterverse. For some reason, twitter likes to kill off people, get them in car accidents and all kinds of other shenanigans. That is how social media works. He one person to believe you and see if you can get multiple people to spread that rumor around until it becomes viral. Oh, that interweb. Maybe it was someone from New England that was trying to deflect the attention for a bit.

Brees is doing good though. The New Orleans fans can take a big sigh of relief and the rest of the fantasy football world can be happy as well.
