Former Oakland Raiders DE Richard Seymour has been in negotiations with the Atlanta Falcons, but progress has been slow. The Falcons could be trying to work on a deal with Matt Ryan first before they try to sign any new players. Seymour was asked about a possible return to the New England Patriots and felt like that chapter in his life was done and over:

"“I always felt like that chapter was closed when I left there,” Seymour said. “I’ve always been grateful for the time I spent there, and we had a great time together. I thought it worked well for both sides, but I kind of moved on from there.” And, as Seymour noted, the Patriots “moved on as well.”“I don’t think that will be anything that we see in the future,” Seymour said of a second stint with the club that drafted him in 2001. – Pro Football Talk"

Seymour can be a good addition for some team this offseason and it seems that the Falcons are the front-runners for his services. They just need to get their cap situation straight with Matt Ryan first.
