The New England Patriots are looking for new options on offense. Aaron Hernandez is gone… you know why. Rob Gronkowski is recovering from a back surgery and some other surgeries. Brandon Lloyd is in the unemployment line. Tom Brady has Danny Amendola and… Danny Amendola. He might toss the ball in his direction all day long.

Bill Belichick will make something happen. He will create a mismatch somewhere and Tom Brady will find a way to exploit it.

One of his plans could involve getting more touches for RB Shane Vereen. Vereen has been seen lining up more at wide receiver during practices, according to NFL.com. Vereen would be an automatic mismatch against most linebackers in the passing game. He could be the new option on offense for Tom Brady and the boys. With all of the usual suspects a question mark, the Patriots will need to find a new way to create offense.
