New York Giants LB Dan Connor Arrested at Airport

New York Giants linebacker Dan Connor recently signed with the team this past March but is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons as he has reportedly been arrested at an airport for possession of a weapon.

A switch blade, that is.

Philadelphia TV station WPVI had the report first, saying Connor was arrested Saturday morning. According to NBCPhiladelphia.com, Connor is being hit with a possession of an offensive weapon charge.

Our Take: Oh look, another NFL player getting arrested. This time it’s case similar to the recent one with Andre Smith, right tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals.

At least Connor didn’t bring a loaded gun.

This is a bad look for Connor. He has to know that would not fly at an airport. He’s been in the league since 2008 and is with his third different team. By now he has to know what works and what doesn’t. He deserves whatever is coming to him for this one.

Omg!! Come on!! I have went to the airport and forgot to take my knife out of my pocket before. A simple mistake. But with me, they just said they had to either throw it away, or I had to pay to have it sent to someone. I let them throw it away, but it was a simple mistake. And now he has a record if they go foreword with charges and court. We have givin up to many rights and let these TSA people go to far with us when we have to fly. A knife is something that should not be on the plane, but why do cavaty searches on a two year old? Or a ninetytwo year old?? It’s gone way to far. Those who give up a little liberty for a little security, deserve neither and will loose both. And that saying is proving itself more true each day.

Rookie Symposium. I guess he missed the part where they explained, his life is under microscope, and a simple mistake like this, could leave him unemployed.
granted i guess it depends what TSA controlled airport you go through, and what type of mood they are in.
