Cleveland Browns OC Norv Turner is looking to use and abuse Trent Richardson as much as possible. He would love to see the back get over 300 carries this season. He will rush him up the middle on first and second down over and over again until other teams are able to stop it. If Trent Richardson is able to stay healthy for all 300 of those carries, he will have some good numbers for fantasy football land.

Richardson is a tough back, hard-nosed back that will get better as games wear on. He needs to stay healthy though. He struggled with injuries throughout his rookie year. He needs to kick those lingering injuries and he can be a very productive back for the Browns.

“Obviously, the trend in the league is to not do that, but I think it depends on your team and everyone around it,” Turner said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “If that player is your best player, then I think it’s probably a good thing to have him in the game and give him the ball. So I would hope Trent would have that many carries. That means he’s playing healthy and playing at a pretty high level.”

Richardson should see the football early and often.
