Time to get our power rankings out before the start of preseason action for the league. Falcons and Broncos are leading the pack going into the year. 49ers and Seahawks are not far behind.

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan and those pair of receivers with Steven Jackson and Tony Gonzalez is dynamic. Definitely will be one of the best offenses in the league and will be fun to watch.
  2. Denver Broncos: Do they even have a center in town? Still think they will be one of the best.
  3. San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh will have this team ready to go.
  4. Seattle Seahawks: Losing Percy Harvin for most of the year is going to hurt a bit. I had them as the top ranked team before the injury, but bumped them down a little after that.
  5. Green Bay Packers: I can’t go against Aaron Rodgers, even if Jordy Nelson is sitting on the sideline again
  6. Houston Texans: Arian Foster and J.J. Watt can carry this team on both sides of the football. Two of the best in the league.
  7. New England Patriots: Not sure how the offense will respond. Will be one of the teams to watch, but they always seem to put something good together.
  8. New York Giants: This team is always a mystery. Some seasons they pull it all together. This could be the season.
  9. Baltimore Ravens: Can’t place the Super Bowl champs any lower than this. They did win the Super Bow
  10. New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees and Sean Payton reunited
  11. Washington Redskins: RGIII is just too good to keep any lower on the list.
  12. Cincinnati Bengals: A.J. Green is such a stud on offense. He can carry that offense on his back. Lots of great coaching on this staff.
  13. Minnesota Vikings: All Day!!!
  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: I really think highly of this team’s defense. Lots of players that can make plays.
  15. Chicago Bears: Jay Cutler can be so good… then he can be so bad.
  16. St Louis Rams: Moved this team up the list.. will have to see how they do before I move them any higher.
  17. Dallas Cowboys: Tony Romo and the offense always competes. They are always right on the cusp
  18. San Diego Chargers: I think this team is better than most people see them. Plus I am being a homer.
  19. Indianapolis Colts: I just don’t think highly of this team. They will have to prove me wrong.
  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin likely should be higher on the list. I can see them rising.
  21. Arizona Cardinals: This team is making moves, but they are in a tough division
  22. Detroit Lions: How is this team bad again with a good quarterback and Calvin Johnson on the roster?
  23. Kansas City Chiefs: Not on this hype train
  24. Philadelphia Eagles: Can Chip Kelly do better with this team than Andy Reid? Probably not.
  25. Miami Dolphins: I like Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake on defense.
  26. Carolina Panthers: Can Cam Thomas turn things around?
  27. Cleveland Browns: Will the new coaching staff get this offense moving?
  28. Buffalo Bills: Rookie quarterback EJ Manuel is going to have a tough time.
  29. New York Jets: This team is better with Geno Smith at quarterback… and I haven’t seen him throw one pass yet.
  30. Tennessee Titans: They are the Titans.
  31. Oakland Raiders: There is a lot of work for these guys to do to get back into contention.
  32. Jacksonville Jaguars: Suck for Clowney.
