The Washington Redskins drafted a pair of quarterbacks last season in Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins. Both have impressed and now we have to wonder how long Cousins will be on the roster. Quarterback is the most important position in the NFL and teams have struggled to fill the gap for multiple years.

NFL Analyst Jon Gruden says that he would be willing to trade a first round pick to get Cousins on his roster:

It might be worth it. What if the Minnesota Vikings had a decent quarterback? I am sure the Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars would love a signal caller with that potential.

Cousins doesn’t have a long resumé of work though. He played backup to RGII for one season and produced when he was called upon. He played in 3 games and only started in one game in his career, but he looked fantastic in those games.

Is it fool’s gold or can he be the real deal? I am sure that the Redskins will be using him in the near future to gather up some draft picks. What would you trade to get Kirk?
