New York Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan has always been a big talker. He has always been seen as a motivator also. The Jets play hard for him and he will say all kinds of crazy things in order to motivate the troops. Here is one of the gems that he dropped in the past, recalled by Ladainian Tomlinson:

"“Rex got in front of us, he said, ‘I’m going to set the tempo today, guys,’ he said, ‘I’m going to set the tempo. When I meet Bill Belichick in the center of the field, I’m going to start it off and punch him in the face,’” Tomlinson recalled on NFL Network.Tomlinson called Ryan a “master motivator” and said he always knew exactly the right way to fire his players up.“He was motivating his guys,” Tomlinson said. “We won. Our coach showed the confidence that he has in us.” – Pro Football Talk"

Why do I love this? That would pump me up…. especially if he went out there and actually punched Bill Belichick in the face. Nothing against Bill at all, just think it would be crazy to see the head coach set the tone with a little trash talk and aggression at the start of the game.

Will Rex deny this statement? Of course not… which makes it that much more interesting when they shake hands on Thursday. I will be grabbing my popcorn and waiting for Rex to throw a blow.
