Dallas Cowboys WR Miles Austin has a history of issues with his hamstrings. He missed 6 games in 2011 because of hamstring injuries. The Cowboys don’t believe that this injury as severe as the previous ones, but he already has missed out on the game against the San Diego Chargers in week 4 and he still is not out on the practice field this week:

“He ran here the last couple of days and he’s made progress, so hopefully as this week goes on he’s able to practice and have a chance to play in this ballgame,” coach Jason Garrett said.

He was not spotted on the practice field today, but he was doing more running on the treadmill. It is the middle of the week and the team hopes that they can get their receiver back in time to face off against one of the top teams in the league this weekend. The Cowboys are at home against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, so any help would be huge for the Cowboys offense.

If he isn’t on the field on Sunday, then Jerry Jones might get his wish of tossing the ball to Dez Bryant in any and all situations. Who else would Tony Romo throw the ball to?
